Kaiser Zaun

The supremacy of our kind is more than a simple notion, it is a cold hard fact.

1 · 758 views · located in Room of Reason

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by SkullJester

Groups

A faction of vampyric creatures who reign over the Cursed Wood. "Expect from thy blood no more than thy blood expects from thee."
Aligned by the night, these brave creatures are sworn to protect the citizens of Verinotte Hollow, in the name of the Vankoryth Detente.

Description

Name: Kaiser Zaun

Age (Appearance): Early to mid twenties
Age (Actual): 331

Race: Vampire
Heritage: Both parents were human, his father from Germany and his mother from Ireland
Country of Origin: Germany

Height: 5'10"
Weight: 167 lbs

Hair: Dark hair, like crusted sanguine
Eyes: Blacks around the eyes, with tainted, crimson irises after the blood fever.

Distinguishing Marks: His incredibly dark grey eyes make him stand out in public, so he normally wears green contact lenses. The same could be said for his permanently blood stained claws, hence the gloves he wears.

Species of Vampire: Frenzy: A frenzy or voracious vampire, who will at all times, jump at the opportunity for a quick snack. This species is quick to anger by nature and is incredibly prone towards violence if pushed too far. This however, does not offset the original personality of the vampire. The sight or smell of blood, to this species, is like that of an incredibly fine wine or perfectly cooked flank, and is sometimes irresistible. One of the few species of vampire able to consume the blood of other nosferatu without suffering from blood poisoning or poisoning of any kind. Frenzy's, while in their peak of blood lust, are more than supernaturally fast, incredibly strong, with near precognitive reflexes. However, during this stage, their regenerative and thought based powers are incredibly diminished and it should be noted that he has lost all mind controlling capabilities.

Attire: No matter where he is, his attire is always one of informal business wear or high society relaxation. Almost always has a tie and never goes anywhere without gloves that match the color of his undershirt. Prefers white over all other colors, even if it means he has to replace the clothes almost every night.

Personality

Despite his unnatural, violent tendencies and near racist views on all non-vampires, those who can stand his massive ego will find themselves in the company of a rather highly educated and philosophical vampire. Be that as it may, he really views no one as a friend, always either an acquaintance, tool, or toy. He may act like he cares for others, but all he wishes to preserve is his immortality. He will feign loyalty and trust in others if it serves his purposes or schemes, and he is almost always plotting. An amazing actor by heart, for he was, at one point, in his human days, attending a higher education just for the purpose of stage drama. As of his 80th year however, he has started growing paranoid of men in leather attire, for he has never forgotten the general look of the man who once tried to kill him.

History

When he was but a lad, fresh from his high school years, a soft more at one of German's many academic and vocational colleges, Kaiser was approached by a woman of startling beauty. Not surprised by this, as his arrogance was already far beyond the human norm, he actually found himself caught up in a relationship with the temptress. It wasn't until one night, almost a year into the affair, that he was forever changed. The woman, who's name he forgotten long ago, cursed him with the bite of a night walker. Being as his unique blood type caused the supernatural virus to mutate him into one of the very rare Frenzy, or Blood-Thirsters. That same night, moments after his 'death', he slaughtered the woman, and proceeded to do the same to over half of his college peers.

Years pass, and soon he settles down in Russia, around the time of World War II. There, he sets up a manufacturing company with the money he had inherited from his father after his death...at the hands of Kaiser, of course. Selling arms to the Russians to use against his own people, his personal wealth exploded to near ridiculous levels. However, at the end of this span of his life, he donated most of the money to the production of Russia's nuclear arms race, keeping a small fortune with him as he moved onward towards New Zealand.

There, was where he first met a vampire hunter. A man named Curtland Maxwell, the bastard. His time in the tropical paradise was sort, thanks to this man. However, years later, Kaiser got his revenge by cursing Curtland's very own son with the vampiric bite.

Now, residing in Wing City after fleeing his version of Earths many Hunters and Slayers, he has already set his works into motion. He has his hand in the pocket of almost every politician and illegal arms producer, as well as many of the crazed, fanatical magic worshiping cults in the area. All of these factions he secretly controls are working in unison, unknowingly, towards the egotistical Kaiser's goal of achieving god-hood.

Hitting a snag in this goal, he decided to join the vampire 'Family' know as the Vankoryth Detente. During one battle that nearly wiped his clan out, he lost himself to his Blood rage, inducing a mind altering Fever that stripped him of his very sentience. Normally, this only last a few nights, however, thanks to the words of a certain Mad God, this state of being lasted Kaiser nearly 200 years of being nothing more than a feral animal. He has only just recently re-emerged...

So begins...

Kaiser Zaun sat underneath the corner umbrella at a local bistro. One that an associate of his owned, mind you. The day was calm and crisp, the fall air nippyy but the sky surprisingly sunny. His kind of vampire wasn't too negatively affected by the sun. At most, it gave him second degree burns if he didn't use sunscreen. Such was the natural order of his kind. He twirled his glass ever so slowly..."Type A negative...female...suffered from higher than normal iron levels. So delicious..."

Kaiser Zaun cracked his knuckles after another long sip from his glass, almost purring. That is, however, until he caught the scent. Above the aroma of his beverage, more than anything, he could smell one of his kind. He didn't like that. He had kept a low profile, as a noseratu anyway, during his time in the city. While he both loved and respected their kind, he usually found their company dull and lacking. He much preferred his pawns and a mirror. For now, he pretended not to notice, continuing to drink and read from his book.

Kaiser Zaun let out a soft sigh, holding his hand out underneath the umbrella, his skin almost immediately turning a bright red, returning to normal as soon as he pulled it back into the shade. This was actually almost tedious. If any of his kind had a council like they did back home, and they learned of his plans for this city and its people, honestly, things could go really bad. As a whole, vampires were almost forbidden from killing their own, but Kaiser had never been one for loyalty or rules. He could hear her sniffing for Hell's sake! Finally, he returned her gaze. "Can I help you...?"

Such a weird accent. It got on his nerves. He felt his claws begin to slowly unseeth, but he willed them back. No sense in destroying another pair of gloves. Kaiser slowly rotated his wrist to twirl the blood, taking another long sip. "Nice name, I suppose. Speaks potential volumes, as the poor usually don't have such elegant names. I myself am Kaiser." He slowly closed his book and set it on the table. "What is it I can help you with? I have various people to meet with today."

Kaiser Zaun soon arrived, a bit later than he had wished but the directions he had been given weren't the best. "A hunt would imply that there is sport in taking a human life. I don't see how one can even make that assumption." Without even a proper introduction, he took a seat of his own, pulling his record book from his coat, propping feat up the table near by. "Thats like saying it takes skill to take down a mouse when one is a lion."

Kaiser Zaun kept turning the pages of his book, mumbling now and again before finally responding. "The thing is, I already ate. A massacre in the forest on the other side of the city, some moronic tribesman. The point being, I say, if we're going to go 'hunt' those things we call human, that why not make it a party. Whole sale slaughter is almost more entertaining."

Kaiser Zaun snapped his book shut. "Now, I must ask. I have been taking precautions to make sure I'm not found out by any local hunters, crusaders, paladins, you pick the word. Have the rest of you been doing the same? I will admit, some of the humans and their ilk are a step above the norm. But they are still weak. Just a pain in numbers." A soft grin slowly spread across his face.

Kaiser Zaun nodded, almost happily. "Good. None of you are...ignorant like the Council I had to deal with back in my homeland. I myself, am seen as a public figure and leader. I have a lot of very strong connections, so even if I am found out, I get to sit back and watch humans fight each other. Its fun really." He looked at the odd one, wanting to call him a clown. "Not a bad idea. I can always use a drink. Sadly, my particular gift is never truly full."

Kaiser Zaun rotated his wrist before standing, addressing the last speaker. "No. We have not fallen. Our kind is stronger than ever. At the moment, I do know of races beyond human however, that if they were to find us out, could end us, one by one. We need more members. There is even a religious order that hunts us down, all of them near-immortals like us. Its a pain in the ass really. We stay low for now. Build our strength. Its just good tact really."

Kaiser Zaun obeyed of course. For now, his input had been given. All was, literally, going to plan. He would have to thank that woman later. This was a very interesting group to say the least. And as far as he could tell, almost as easy to manipulate as the humans themselves. Easy. Kids stuff. Pulling his gloves from his permanently red stained claws, he followed.

Kaiser Zaun didn't have time for a game of cat and mouse. He merely found the first human he could. Female. Possibly just a little plump, possibly with a future alley rat in her womb. It mattered little to him. He opened her neck with a sort of reckless abandon, feasting even as the other homeless began to scurry away.

Kaiser Zaun gave into his frenzied heritage with reckless abandon. He didn't care if the only blood he was drinking now was what just happened to splash into his mouth. Elderly, men, woman, children, weak, strong, they all fell before him. He was screaming and laughing with glee. Bloody vermin! He didn't want them in his empire! This was his world, his by right! He would erase them and enjoy doing it.

Kaiser Zaun hadn't given in like this is...about a day. He slaughtered. He left massacres. He didn't just eat and be done with it. He left the bodies behind, they'd be cleaned up by his connections, a promised reward from his contributions to the politicians. Stupid men. They did not realize that with each and every one of his kills, he only grew stronger. Such was his particular curse's nature. He smelled rotting flesh on the wind and turned to gaze at the undead monstrosity. Not that he cared for it. Disgusting thing. "I have no clue Deamala. It sure is hideous though. And it smells absolutely repulsive to say the least."

Kaiser Zaun almost wanted to kill Daemala on the spot. "Do not be stupid! Some vampires are not worthy of the gift. I myself often take a certain joy in those in particular." His eyes filled with an almost black light as he moved up behind Casren, his gloves now returning on his blood-caked hands. "I do not think the beast itself is any form of a threat. Not to us. It just looks hungry, and as I said before, ignoring it would be best. But I would love to kill some more. That boy looks...troublesome, if not just down right annoying. Of course, it is your call, I take it." He had no real idea who the leader was...not tat it mattered. They wouldn't be for too long, if things went right.

Kaiser Zaun could only smile broadly in Mariotto's face, licking his fangs hungrily. "It is as our Lord says. I will let this be until I am other wise ordered to do so. After all, I am the newest to this group and I do not think I have any right to act without his consent. Yet." But when I do, I will remember this. And your blood won't be touched either. Your veins will never have the honor of feeding me. These were all his thoughts as he moved past the crazed Mariotto, wanting a better view.

Kaiser Zaun opened his book one more, looking at the contacts section. There it was. The number he needed, the only he would use to get all of this cleaned up. He went ahead and located the nearest phone booth but for now, stayed where he was. Daemala was too worried about unity. Casren seemed unsure some of the time, almost shaky. The bandaged one was...odd, but most like the vampires back home. The clown thing was crazy, that was easy enough. Mariotto himself was almost comical in the way he acted. Usable though. And now, after hearing what the newcomer was saying, maybe he was a potential pawn as well. He wrote all this down in his own personal code of German and Celtic, whistling happily. However Daemala's choice of words almost shocked him to his core. What...needless to say though, he moved beside her.

Kaiser Zaun bowed shortly, grinning. "I'm going to go meet with the District Attorney, Sheriff, and Maintenance Staff. I must pardon myself for now, but Daemala has my personal number. Contact me, if needed." And with that, he was gone. He had other arrangements to make as well...

In the middle of meeting with one of Wing City's most prominent gang leaders, he had just finalized a deal on a various amount of...highly illegal arms when suddenly his phone got a text. Glancing at it, for no more than a second, he was about to dismiss it when he realized something. A servant would be helpful. And one of his own kind would be far more useful than some pathetic human. And...he was always hungry. Maybe he should take the annoyance up on his offer. After handing over the cash, he proceeded on his way, rapidly, following the directions on the phone. This might turn out to be annoying...but had the chance to be useful. He would be there soon.

Kaiser Zaun knocked. Of course he knocked, he was above impoliteness. Maybe this...thing he was about to turn wouldn't be, maybe they didn't deserve his gift, but he knew that they would serve him. And thats all he needed from anyone or anything. He let himself in no more than a second after knocking for the third time and suddenly...he wanted to hit Casren. "You want me to turn...that?!"

Kaiser Zaun spat on the floor with a growl. "Don't you dare every speak down to our kind. We are superior to your weak little race in every damn way!" He smashed her lamp off the table. "I'll do it! Under the condition that she belongs to me. She'll be a member of the Blood, yes, but just like Daemala owns that bastardized children's clown, she will belong to me? Understood?" He gave Casren a glare, a hungry glare, a look that let him know he wouldn't forgive him for this. His gift was his own! How dare he!

Growled at the flame, a fire of his own coming to his frenzied eyes. "She knows magic of some kind. That is more than enough of a reason for me to sire her. Besides, my office gets boring!" He licked his lips, his fangs beginning to extend. "One way or another Casren, even if she protest, I'm going to turn her. I don't see why we have to abide by those rules, my own turning wasn't voluntary and I've loved every minute of my life since then!"

Kaiser Zaun took a moment to take a calming, deep breath. "I...apologize Casren. My urge to turn her grows less and less with each word she says though. She is constantly insulting me and our kind. That doesn't make me want to turn her, it makes me want to...silence her." He felt his gloves tear through his clinched fist, tsking loudly.

Kaiser Zaun scoffed, crossing his arms. Damn the rules, if he could find a way without making it obviously, he intended to make this hurt for her, as much as possible. He had no idea how his strand or variation of the gift would affect her however. He did know that the mortality rate of a Frenzy was...more than high.

Kaiser Zaun knelt across the bed. He swore if he tasted bad flesh, he was going to 'accidentally' rip her throat out. He opened his mouth wide and slowly sank his fangs into her neck, drinking deeply, all the while tilting her head back with one hand while exposing his wrist on the other, placing it against the nice as hard as he could without it knicking him. Her blood...wasn't bad.
