Basics
Full Name: Kaitlynn Lessard
Age: Twenty-two
Birthplace: N/A
Current Location: Wing City
Titles, Born or Earned: N/A
Race: Human
Species: Vampire
Occupation: Medium for hire
Associations: Lessard Family

Social
Parents: Vincent Lessard; deceased. Eleanor Way; deceased.
Siblings: Sanina Lessard; deceased.

Appearance:
• 5’6’, deceptively slim and weak-looking
• Yellowy-blonde long straight hair

Kaitlynn wears contacts on account of her short-sightedness and wears a style that are cream col-oured with flecks of gold in them. Her eyes are almost unnaturally large, focusing like an owl’s might upon its prey when something grabs her attention solidly. Otherwise, her features are quite soft and relatively unremarkable.

No matter what personality is on the surface, the slightly less dead Lessard sister tends towards the same forms of dress sense, Andrea doing so to keep up the ruse that she is her oblivious counter-part. At all times, she wears a long navy and rather worn crushed velvet coat and her low heeled navy blue ankle boots. Accessories and other clothes usually revolve around these two specific items but Kaitlynn is not a terribly fashionable person and therefore, there are occasions where she wears some quite odd arrangements.

As far as jewellery goes, neither personality deigns to wear much except for a thin circle of silver hung on a thick silver chain quite tight around her neck, almost like a choker. Hanging down in the middle of this delicate circular object is a dewdrop gemstone coloured pale blue. Its significance is not immediately obvious.

Extraordinary Skills, Abilities, Flaws:
• Natural talent for biology, particularly entomology
• Capable of communicate and exorcising spirits
• Suffers from a phobia of blood, which results in bouts of shaking and sickness in minor cases – blackouts in extreme cases
• Is possessed by a malicious spirit who feeds on negative emotion

The resulting effects of her Turning were dizzying; the majority of Kaitlynn's vampirism was absorbed by the spirit, as well as the memory of the night. Instead of lying dormant, it was seized upon by her unwanted spiritual passenger who used it to attach herself permanently to the medium, adopting all the traits of vampirism and the darkness of the spirit itself to create a second sustained personality; Andrea. As a result Kaitlynn is blissfully unaware of her status as a newly turned vampire, she is also worryingly unaware that there is a spirit is using her to survive.

Her powers as a medium manifested at a young age. In the beginning she had nurtured them with her mother’s encouragement alongside her mother. Spirits are generally distinguished from the living by a light beaming out of their chests. Kaitlynn has learnt how to suppress and dismiss more powerful and troublesome spirits through the use of simple incantations and crystals that boost her natural abilities. It used to be more of a hobby, taking on and ridding innocents of small, troublesome spirits or helping troubled spirits on their way via séances but now since being fired from her last job, she's now using it to pay the bills.

It is worth noting that Andrea, being a malevolent spirit and therefore not actually part of Kaitlynn, cannot use these abilities.

Equipment:
• A collection of crystals used to channel and protect whilst performing séances or when particularly powerful spirits decide to be unexpectedly difficult.
• Her mobile phone
• Keys to her apartment
• A small number of business cards advertising her services as a medium.
• A rather large, but pretty amber encased dragonfly imitation that masquerades as an or-nament for her keys.

If he was still following her by the end of the alleyway, she'd call the police. Simple as that, drawing out her little mobile phone from her coat's right hand pocket, palming it as she glanced over her shoulder.

“You keep following me and I'll dial for the police, alright? Go find someone else to creep after,” she advised coldly before looking forward again, maintaining her pace.

Her grip tightened momentarily on her little mobile phone, ignoring his ramblings just as he was similarly making light of her threats, waving a hand backwards towards him to show that she simply did not care what he had to say.

At the entrance to the alley she halted, the lights of the main street making it difficult to see again when she turned back into the alley to face her abrupt and rather peculiar follower.

“Of course it's not what I want to do. Just... stop following me and then I don't have to do it,” she reasoned, fingers pressing against her forehead in agitation.

“You've known me for five minutes; you can't like me.” Her statement was punctuated with the flicking of her phone open. “Seriously now. Give me one good reason why I shouldn't just dial.”

The little beeping of buttons being pressed seemed to be her only answer at first. “Wrong answer Usui.” She raised the phone to her ear, clearly intending to call the police to get rid of him.

Deftly, her cream coloured eyes were very interested in the wall to the right of the stranger, guilt passing through her features. Kaitlynn knew that what she was doing was an extreme tactic but if it got him to get lost, technically the police will have done their job without lifting a finger.

Static erupted from her phone's speaker, making Kaitlynn draw it away from her ear with a frown. What a bloody wonderful time for her phone to screw up, she thought, cancelling the number and trying again. Still broken.

Kaitlynn gave it four more tries before sighing, sliding the phone closed and back into her pocket with a sigh.

Fine, the station was only a few blocks from here. It was a busy night; people were all around on the main streets. She'd just put up with him for a bit longer. “I'm not going anywhere with you. No. Where. You got that?” she shot back, concerned and bit unnerved by his indifference.

Still, she had her pride and turned away, aiming to move out into the street lit busy centre of Wing City.

Ordinarily, Kaitlynn's senses would have been rather sharp but distracted as she was by her stalker, for she could see no nicer way of describing him. As it was, Kaitlynn barely had time to blink as a body moved in between her and a belatedly noticed and impossibly close suspicious man.

Wood sank into flesh but before even the smell of blood could tamper with her sense of smell, another took over. The smell of seared flesh and it made her wrinkle her nose, staring after the would-be attacker with horror. He had been after her; whatever for?

“Oh never mind that,” she muttered to herself, whipping out her phone again and stepping around to try and take a proper look at Usui's injury, dialling as she went. “Bloody maniacs, attacking people on the streets. You okay?”

Static again. Bloody phone. She'd have to get a new one, tossing it into her pocket carelessly as Usui attempted to walk away, her now free hand shooting out to grasp his right upper arm. “I heard that sound and unless you're some kind of superhuman, you're not fine. So stay damned still, alright?” she demanded.

Ordinarily, he'd have been right. If he had wandered past her on the street with an injury, she probably wouldn't have given him a second look, other than to call the ambulance and leave it at that. But he'd deliberately stepped in the way of an attack meant for... “That wasn't meant for you.”

Kaitlynn Lessard wryly grinned at that, her other hand coming forward to hold him steady. “Then sit the hell down and relax. I need to go and find a payphone to call an ambulance but I'm not leaving until I'm sure you'll be here to come back and help,” she insisted.

He was obviously a fool if he thought joking was appropriate at the time like this, but this wasn't the time to be berating the man for his timing issues. “... Thank you.”

“What do you mean you...”

Slap or help him. Oh choices. The man had known from the start that her phone wasn't likely to work and therefore obviously had no fear she was going to call the police on him, not if he was beside her. Asshole. “No, you don't, but then what do we do? The hospital is ages away from here and I sure as hell can't carry you there.

Frankly, she paled a bit when he coughed up blood, both out of fear and concern. “Stop talking; you're wasting energy.” Well, bugger. She had no idea what to do. Wonderful.

If Usui thought the grinning would make all the damning information that came afterwards easier to swallow, he was dead wrong. Wait, she told herself, scratch the dead. Just wrong.

“So hospitals would kill you and probably everyone else in the vicinity. How on earth do you even try and cook dinner? Slicing things with knives must be awful,” she commented and then slapped a hand around her mouth.

“Ignore that. I'm obviously rambling,” she continued, running a hand through her hair as she thought. There had to be somewhere nearby that she could get him to... a generator. Or something! She glanced down the street, eyes lighting up.

This is going to sound insane... “Would tapping into a street light's source work?” She was suggesting that he make himself better via electrocution. It struck her just how calmly she was taking this absurd situation when it hit her.

He'd... now she felt downright awful and it showed on her pale, thin features. “I should have been paying more attention. You didn't need this hassle. Sorry.”

He wasn't getting any better by just sitting there, so she was relieved when he stumbled to his feet, his comment making her laugh herself, if a tad hollowly. “Hey if it keeps you alive, what's a few hours of inconvenience for the citizens of Wing City, hmm?”

Oddly, she meant that though her weak good humour turned to a swift glare at his extremely inappropriate comment; in more ways than one, trying desperately not to shrug away from his touch. She was horribly concerned he might fall over.

To that end, as he tried to walk away, Kaitlynn moved forward to help him stay upright, she – literally – got a very nasty shock, eyes wide as she rubbed her hand gingerly. “I won't be trying that again,” she murmured. Instead, she focused her attention on the street light, getting to it before he did.

He obviously wouldn't know it – or she – but she hadn't been this anxious since her turning.

After he spoke, Kaitlynn looked away quite quickly, eyes tightly squeezed shut and a hand over them for good measure. Now that he had reached the light, her breathing had got increasingly shallow. The blood was doing nothing for her nerves except make her feel sick and dead inside.

Through her eyelids, the woman could see the lights flickering to and fro life, wincing as she could only hope that this wasn't killing the man. “Usui?” she spoke out gently, her voice barely audible as yells started to break out across the streets.

People evidently didn't like their electricity being pinched.

Her eyes slid upon at his words, nodding altogether too quickly as Kaitlynn lowered her hand to follow him – an odd twist of roles – into the new alleyway, the darkness successfully shielding them from the outraged looks of the citizens of this district.

Instinctively, she reached out a hand to balance him as he leaned backwards, careful not to get herself shocked again, no matter how grateful she was.

The query had been spoken so innocently that it made her laugh initially, her free hand coming up to stifle it somewhat. He was still her stalker; was it is even safe to give out her name to him? “I suppose I can oblige, given circumstances. Kaitlynn. Kaitlynn Lessard,” she introduced, lowering the hand to enable her to speak freely.

“Now that you're not likely to die, I've no qualms about slapping you you know,” she returned smoothly, Kaitlynn's expression evidently shocked at his blunt description of both her name and self. “Keep your opinions of me to yourself; I don't care for them.”

Oh. Next. Her lips curved into a 'o' obligingly, though her eyes narrowed at his demand, but damn him, he was right. She did feel responsible. “Oh fine. The logic of letting a stalker into my home fails me but... come along. You obey my rules in my house though, understand?”

Her words were curt and it was clear she wasn't going to take one step until he agreed.

Her steps were precise as she glared back at Usui. “It might be easier to just pay for you to stay at a hotel. You're more trouble than you're worth,” she murmured, satisfied he'd at least agreed with her without a fight. “Good.”

His reminder about the wound sobered up her indignation a little, her cream coloured eyes reflecting guilt again. “I see,” she said simply, though finally her cheeks tinged with pink. Whether this was from embarrassment, shame or anger, only Kaitlynn could know. “You and closeness are not two things I desire together at the moment, thank you very much.”

Luckily for Usui, Kaitlynn couldn't read his thoughts and was little concerned with his facial expression as she took a step forward as the man approached, holding out her arms for support. “You must be in a lot of pain. We... I've got painkillers back at my place. Support yourself on me or we'll never get back there.”

For a fleeting moment, she thought but incredibly thick-skinned to go through all that without one ounce of complaint and smiled, just a bit back at him for an entirely different reason before beginning to take steps in the direction of her home.

Kaitlynn Lessard looked satisfied as she ducked inside the bar's main entrance, her navy blue coat swishing behind her lightly as she strode towards the counter itself, a soft smile dancing across her sharp features.

She looked a touch paler than normal; slightly tired too but she wouldn't have noticed, her cream coloured eyes glancing around the bar, taking in its rather peculiar sights and then deciding she was better off not knowing what these people got up to.

“A glass of your finest whiskey please!” she called out for a bartender to serve her. Today, it was a relaxing drink. Hopefully she thought, with a look to the door, it would stay that way. She'd hate to waste good alcohol again.

Kaitlynn Lessard had been completely unaware of Usui's presence right up until the moment he appeared beside her again, just after she had received and paid for her whiskey. First, there was disbelief and then, just a touch of malice before she turned and tried to dump the whole blasted tumbler over his head.

Satisfaction was utmost on her features whether she succeeded or not, then proceeding to ignore him once more until she had ordered another drink. “I'm not your love,” she responded with a chill tone before turning away again.

Her eyes flickered with concern on the bandage but she told herself that a little alcohol never hurt anyone; besides, it had been a few days since she let him leave her home and he had been fine then. He was wearing it for pity now, surely?

Kaitlynn Lessard stared at the strange stalker she had garnered as he seemed to blunder onwards, heedless of the fact that she had tipped alcohol over him again. “I took you home because you potentially saved my bloody life Usui Kamijou! I'm not happy to see you, far from it,” she snapped back before he posed his query.

Politeness. She supposed she could stand a few lines of conversation, as she has said herself, he had saved her life. “I'm fine. You?” Her tone was much less pleasant.

“I was rather worried that I would,” she shot back fearlessly, wondering indeed if Fate had it in for her. Quite possibly for not stopping all the atrocities that her family performed. Instead, she had run off to University and pretended it wasn't happening.

Rather like she wished she could do now in fact, her frown turning into a crooked smile. “Oh really? What a poor woman; do give her my sympathies for time wasted.” This was partly a lie, for she did feel quite indebted to him but still, to let him know that was quite out of her character.

Kaitlynn Lessard wondered if she would ever be rid of him. She really did hope so; having a constant stalker did not appeal to her in the slightest and she wagered her father wouldn't approve either. Now she realised there might be some bonuses to having a vampiric necromancer as a parent.

Particularly as Usui rose, her cream eyes following as he strode behind her, only to place his arms around her in a frighteningly close embrace. Her immediate reaction was to try and throw off his arms with strength that one would not think one of her size to possess.

And there he went again; being an arsehole, trying damned hard not to blink as she glared him down. I should've left him to die, she lamented with a vicious edge to her thoughts. “No and bloody never.”

Simple, harsh and to the point.
