Small and lean. 5"4, 145 lbs, most extra weight is muscle from military training. Keeps his black hair trimmed short and keeps himself clean-shaven. A small man would stand from his squatting position, Kamala Ainsley, and look down to his outfit. It was off, the buttons were askew. He silently cursed to himself, before he had so rudely spoken up without so much as an acknowledgement toward the woman who was trying to hold her bladder. "Yeah, why'sa someone like you get t'be the commanding officer? How many weeks have you been here? I betcha this redneck punk that just stood up can man a weapon better than you can, eh? You just seem like you have a sour attitude, buddy." He taunted, thumbing a gesture at Patchi when referring to 'this redneck punk'.

He was diminuitive, black of hair and his face was nothing out of the ordinary. Not hard, or hollow. The only thing pronounced would be his grin, which he wore, most often when antagonizing folk.

Kamala would shoot to the truck after most everyone had gotten theirs, ready to grab something and get on with it. The guns were his favorite part. Least? The people, probably. He had scoffed at Patchi, his eyes watching the man as he had came in and grabbed his weapons of choice. God, what untempered swine. The accent made Kam want to punch the man in the mouth. He blew off everyone else, and sorted through the weapons.

Pistol, pistol... RPG? He had almost grabbed it, before Seth would claim it to himself. "Fuckin' Ruskies, I had eyes on it first, y'shit." He cursed at the man, before grabbing a rifle off the side of the truck, and lacing the strap over his chest. He took a pistol as well, if only for good measure, and clipped it to his waist.

"You're on my shit list now, Vladimir." He had said to Seth, before stepping a few feet away and letting whoever needed to get to the weapons, then. Of course, Kamala wasn't intimidating, no. Not in the very least. He just had a foul temper.

Kamala would flinch, a little confused as to why the ditzy woman had pointed a stick at him. In an effort to preserve his dignity, he would snatch up the stick, and drop it, before glaring at her; Rescha. "You're in the military, and you don't know how to use a gun?" He asked, before flipping the stick around and pointing the other end at her, for her to grab. "You'll poke someone's eye out." He had quipped, before rudely turning away from her.

"We're supposed to be at the range. Pick out a weapon before you get left behind." He had concluded to the woman, before pivoting and walking over to the range, to join Treia, Patchi, Dragon, and Seth. After some brisk walking, he would give an off-glance to [b]Patchi[/i]. "Prick." He muttered under his breath, before swinging his rifle around and lazily holding it in front of him.

He would wait for the commander.

Kamala would be hit in the back of the head with a rock. He doubled forward and grimaced, before bringing his hand to the back of his head. He had rubbed it for a few moments, before shooting another look at Rescha. "You're a fuckin' nutter." He remarked, as she sidled over to her barricade and made sound effects. No, it wasn't even worth it. Though, if she had found her supplies soaked in vinegar the next morning, one could probably guess why.

He had lumbered over to Samson and picked out his ammo, with a bit of a lucky guess. He had only known enough about guns to know how to shoot it. He loaded his up onto his gun, before grabbing some ammunition for his pistol as well, and tucking it into his pocket. He had moved toward the range, toward his barricade. He had shot an off glance toward Treia.

"Idiots, right?" He asked. "You know what you're doing, don't you? Your name?" He demanded.

Kamala would roll his eyes at Treia, not in a gesture of dismissing the person, but to 'calm the fuck down'. "Bit of a misanthropist. Maybe we can be friends, eh? I don't look forward to sharing any bunks with the rednecked git over there." He said, thumbing at Patchi again, who was firing off rounds wildly.

As Rescha would point the stick at him, and his pants would fall around his ankles, he would look down, and then his face would grow hot and red. "This... bitch! Come on! Who the fuck pulls people's pants down? What is this, kindergarten?" He pleaded, unsure of how the woman had done it, from her distance. But his heart boxers were on view for everyone, until he unceremoniously pulled his trousers back up.

"I'm dipping your clothes in vinegar." He said to Rescha, before lumbering over to his barricade again.

He proned his weapon, and proceeded to fire off a few shots. His aim wasn't great, and a few bullets would go askew. He had ignored the droning noise of Dragon yelling about some shit and throwing cardboard cutouts around.

He hated everyone.

Kamala nodded at Treia. "Kamala, by the way. Call me Kam or I'll put tacks in your bed. That's my name, though I'm prob'ly gonna get a nickname before the end of this. 'Bastard' is pretty common, though whatever floats your boat. These idiots might have drowned you out when you said it, but what's your n---" He was then interrupted by Samson. Almost immediately, he put his rifle back on his back, and pivoted to face the man. He had almost forgotten he was talking, but gave a shrug at Treia, as if to say 'later'.

Figuring that he didn't want to add himself to the 'countless morons' group, he stepped toward Samson to listen. His arms would cross over his chest as he tapped his foot impatiently.

"You're fucking kidding me." He mumbled under his breath, before looking to Rescha and Seth. His face had fallen. Honestly, he was hoping to be paired with Treia. He glanced toward the man, before shaking his head and giving his 'friend' a brisk pat on the shoulder. "Looks like this is where we part roads, buddy." He snidely whispered, before his eyes flickered toward Samson.

He took a few steps toward the man, as if trying to group up. His back had faced him, however. "I get the loud-mouthed commander, the ditzy broad, and the loonie Ruskie. You get the loon-ass berserker, the redneck, and..." He looked toward Bryanne. "Guess she's alright."

He looked toward Samson, then. "What're we supposed to do now? Shoot guns and get acquainted, commander?"

Kamala had glanced at Treia, and nodded. He then looked toward Rescha. "Call me Kam." He dismissively stated, waving a hand. "If you don't want me to dip your stuff in vinegar, try not to launch rocks at my head or pull my pants down, eh? Might as well try and like eachother if we're going to bunk." He said, before looking to Seth.

"You too, I'm Kam, Ruskie. I don't like you, and I'm not going to try and like you. Not unless you plan on trading that RPG." He said, full well aware that they couldn't change their weapons, now.

He would then follow Samson.

"Nah, I'd be pissed too if I had to deal with Ruskie over here and you." Kamala would reply, grinning over at Rescha. It was obvious that he didn't think too highly of his groupmates. "Plus, the bastard just seems like a pissy person. Thinkin' I might get along with him, myself."

"Don't piss yourself, buddy!" He had yelled toward Samson, though he hadn't exactly caught what the man said. All he could tell was that he was pissed. Fair enough. He had caught up with Rescha, and peered over her shoulder at the map. He reached down, and picked up the information on where to go.

He looked to Seth, who was trying to make amens.

He would then pick the compass up and hold it out to the man. "Sure this is the only thing you can read, so you'll take this. The N means North, the S means South, the W means West and the E means East." He said, as if the man hadn't known how to read a compass. "W is your left and E is your right. Just remember that." He teased.

It was obvious that Kam was intent on being intolerable. He shoved the compass at Seth. "Just 'cause I don't like you don't mean I won't stick with you."

"Right. Sooner I get out of this shitty service, the better. Got people to get back to, and I'm not keen on bunking with you folks." He'd said, blissfully unaware of the irony of his statement. He glanced toward Rescha, not saying a word. In all honesty, he would rather use the van too, but in the event that someone would shoot it down as a horrible idea, he wouldn't be taking the blunt of it with her.

He stole a look at Rescha's map again, and then tried to remember what the compass had said, before he had shoved it at Seth. He pointed in the direction of the Dark Woods. It's be far. "We're supposed to go that way, I think. What's the compass say, Ruskie?" He asked Seth.

Kamala would fold up the information, neatly printed onto a piece of computer paper, and unceremoniously stuff it into his pocket. He looked toward the group which had trailed off toward the truck. "Brother and a father." He dismissively remarked. "No lady or anything. Just missin' them already, hanging around you ..." He stopped himself, he was about to call them 'dolts', but he figured that it wasn't justified at that moment. "People."

He then pivoted, and ran to catch up with the group, after accepting the compass from Seth. "Shotgun, assholes! I called it, so none of you can take it! Unless, you know, you want me to drive." He hopefully looked toward Samson at the end. "Helluva good driver, you know."

Kamala had rolled his eyes, as he stood outside the truck, on the driver's side. "Mighta fought a bloke, pissed off a few superiors." He dismissively said, before going to the side of the truck, and opening the passenger side door. It would be then that he was met with the sight of Rescha. "I said I called shotgun, you fuckin' puff!" He angrily yelled, before slamming the door closed. "What do you pricks not understand about shotgun?!" He grumbled. He then traced himself to the back of the truck, and hit his fist on the side of it as he did.

He scurried to the back and jumped in. "Move, Ruskie." He said to Seth, whilst trying to make room for himself.

Kamala had scoffed. "You're in the military, Ruskie. You're just a number; no one cares what your name is." He had remarked, before sitting with his back against the side of the van and resting his arms on the tops of his bent knees. "Call me watcha like too. Had a nickname before I got assigned to this squad. 'Bastard'. Call me that, or call me Kam." He said.

He seemed uninterested in what the Ruskie had to say. He hadn't finished it, anyway, so it hadn't actually mattered. "You're not too smart, are you? Shit, that's got to be disappointing." He remarked, upon overhearing Rescha's speech about her foster home sending her there.

He glanced back at Seth. "You alright, Ruskie?" He'd asked, obviously not too intent on learning the man's name. "If you're getting hotheaded now, just wait until you actually get to the 'action' part ufit."

Kam would grimace, and then give Treia a light jab to the shoulder. "Shut up, will you? I 'adore' that woman like I adore swallowing hot coals." He retorted. He glanced toward Bryanne, who was laying on her bunk. "I'm just givin' a warning, don't get your panties in a knot. Set your boundaries before people step over them." He noted, before hauling himself up on his own bunk and sitting cross-legged on it.

"Yeah, yeah. Try not to piss people off, got it. That's good advice, but I'm about as good at 'not pissing people off' as a teacup is good at holding a mug'a beer." He had then grabbed his stuff, and hung it off of the side of the bunk. The short side, as not to obscure Treia's reach of his own bunk. He had quickly stripped himself of his overshirt, showing a wife-beater underneath, and flopped sideways onto his bed.

"Turn off the lights, will you?" He asked Treia. "Looks like people are gonna try'n get to sleep. Ain't tired myself, but hell if I'm not a conformist."

Kam hadn't even slept a wink, not yet. He had heard Rescha's voice whisper out, and his eyes had shifted to the ceiling, as if to say, 'Why, god? Why me?'. He sat up, and looked down at Rescha. "You're scared of the dark? Are you kidding me?" He asked, then shook his head. It was Rescha, and if he had learned anything about her by then, it would be that she wasn't kidding. "No, you can't sleep with me. Bunk ain't big enough for two, even then, I wouldn't letcha." He said.

"I've an idea, though. Holdon." He whispered, before leaning over to the side, and unzipping his stuff. He pulled out a flash light, and... A cup? It was slightly transparent, about the opacity of a paper cup, though it may have been made of glass or porcelain. He turned the flashlight on, before shining it into Rascha's face.

"Look. Night light." He said, before aiming it at the cup, filling the item with a light that bounced across it, and illuminated a small distance around it. It was makeshift, that's for sure. "Don't break the fuckin' cup, though. It's mine. Don't use it either, and give it back when you're done with it." He said. "Will it do? Because you're not sleeping with me."

Kam would shift his position, and glare down at Treia. "If you don't stick your head back in your own business I'll shove it back down there." He threatened, though lightheartedly. His eyes had flickered toward the figure exiting the room; Dragon. He was long gone before Kam had commented on the man. "Wonder what the fuck's up with that dude."

He shook his head, and then nodded to Rescha. "Right, morning. If I'm groggy by it, I'm not letting you use the light again." He had said, before flopping back into his own bed and laying there for a few seconds. He then grumbled, and threw his legs over the side of the bed and leaned over to look at Treia.

"Think I'm gonna go sit in the bathroom for a bit. I'd go in the halls, but I think that the prick that just stormed outta there might come across me, and hell if I'm gonna meet up with him." He said. He dug into his sack again, and pulled out a book.

If Treia wouldn't stop him, he would shuffle off to the lit bathroom.

Kam grabbed Patchi's pillow and tossed it back to him. "Go to sleep, then." He said. He had no real reason to quip at the man, other than out of pure disdain for him, so he didn't. He simply slinked out to the bathroom and flicked the lights on. From then on, he would read for a bit, every intention of coming back and falling asleep in his bunk when he had tired himself out enough.

Kam groaned. He stirred in his bed, and eventually opened a lazy eye and flipped over to face Rescha. When his eyes had adjusted to the darkness, he jerked. "Jesus--" he whispered, the face of Rescha seeming to scare him out of his wits, until he had quietly sat up from his bed and pulled the covers from himself. "It's... God knows what time." He whispered harshly, and his eyes wandered to the window. Moonlight had filled the room. He groggily rubbed his eyes, and threw his legs over the side of the bed.

"Did the light die or somethin'? Come on, you can't be such a baby." He whispered again, bringing his hand up to his head and scratching his mopped hair.

Kam had sidled across the wall to make room for Rescha. His hand went from his hair to his eyes, where he absently rubbed them, attempting to get the crust out. It was much too early for him to be angry. He took the flashlight with his other hand, and then beat it against the bottom of his palm. "Batteries, yeah. They're kaput." He said, laying the flashlight onto the bed next to him and groaning. "I can fix it. Just need to go in my pack. Gimmee a sec though, I'm tired." He pleaded.

His eyes had shifted to her as she had proudly stated her age. "Yeah, yeah. You're still a baby, you know. There're people here who're way older than you. Me, too." He said, in less of an aggressive tone than he had exercised the day before. It may have been out of pity.

His eyebrows had raised as she had said something about summer camp. He debated telling her; being blunt was his thing, but the fact that she didn't know that she was in the military was pitiful. The fact that neither of them knew they were in a suicide squad was more so. He gave a breathy sigh, and then thumped his head against the wall behind him.

"I'm 19. Been in summer camp for a little bit. I was in a different summer camp, 'fore they canned me for fighting one of the other... summer camp-ee's. I came here because the people who ran the summer camp promised to give me money, for college. Once I got out, and had my fun." He said, deciding to go with the latter. "I wouldn'ta chose to come here either. Everyone's fuckin' idiots, or they've got sticks up their asses and they're so far in they can't take'm out. Your family sent you here?"

Kam frowned. He felt a pang of sympathy for the woman. Girl, even. She seemed too young for this stuff, even if she was the same age as he was. He brought his legs from dangling over the bed and brought them up to his chest. His arms had been placed on the tops of his knees, and he looked at his hands as he spoke. They clenched and unclenched. It wasn't a surefire sign of what he was feeling, but it was a hint. "Huh." He said, though only in acknowledgement.

The poor girl had been tricked into the military by her foster family, he thought. It almost made him want to be nice. Then again, it was Kam, and if he had anything to say about it, he didn't have any say in the manner. He listened to her speak, not bothering to look up at her as she did. His thoughts lulled around in his head, and when there was an absence of silence, he'd realized it was his turn. "Dang, well, fuck'm." He whispered, in regardance to the situation with her family. "That wasn't a nice thing to do, so when you get back and if they ever ask you for help, say 'no, since you sent me to summer camp and were mean to me'. That'll teach'm." He said.

He had glanced over to the woman when she had said something about it not being a summer camp. He gave a small smirk, but it felt unnatural on his face, and it quickly fell back down. "You know, between you and me, I don't think it's a summer camp either. I was back in the other summer camp, and they said we'd be fightin' people from summer camps all the way across the world with our weapons. You think that kinda stuff happens in summer camps?" He questioned, before reaching up and vacantly scratching his face.

"You gotta learn how to use a weapon, you know."

Kam had nodded. "Yeah, I know how to use weapons." He brought his hand back down, and wrung it with his other hand as she had spoken. He didn't like using weapons, no. He knew how to do it, not how to aim well. His father had taught him before he left. And that was fine, but that was it. How to reload, how to put it on safety, the right ways to carry it. As much as he had liked to boast that he was a competant soldier though, he wasn't. He could hardly hit the targets back at the barricades, but no one had caught that, luckily enough for him.

"Yeah, we have to learn. I think we're going to be facing some of the bastards from the other summer camps I told you about. The bad ones. They want to shoot us, for some reason. I don't think you'll be going back to Wing City for a while, either. I mean, not as someone bein' able to go around and buy hotdogs and visit bars n'shit. But it's good to learn anyway, when you get back. That way you can keep a weapon on you, and shoot people if you have to." He said. "Only if you have to, though. 'Cause otherwise if you shoot someone and you don't have to that makes you what I'd call a 'major douche'." He said, smirking.

His hands had then broken their alliance, and dangled downwards. "I... Gah." He said, then realizing that he was talking far too much for his liking. And to Rescha, too. He hadn't even liked her. He brought his hand to his head and rubbed his temple. "Damnit."

"...Yeah, whatever. I'll teach you how to use a gun. Not during the night, though. Next time we get the chance. 'Cause we'll wake one of these fuckasses up and they'll get all shitty with us."

Kam had only shown a sign of acknowledgement when Rescha had gone silent, and his gaze shifted over to her. He shifted in place and turned face the edge of the bed, and went silently digging through his sack. He was looking for batteries. After a minute or so of him looking through the dark bag, he brought the only two out, and grabbed the flashlight. He popped open the back of it, and then placed them in it.

He turned it on. Nothing. After a few seconds, it flickered once, and then died. "Fuck." He whispered, before beating it on the palm of his hand a few times. It flickered thrice, and then died again. "Duds. Fuckin' figures. Those were new, too." He whispered again, under his breath. He placed the flashlight back into his sack and zipped it up.

"You're not going to be able to sleep if it's dark?" He asked.

Kam had stared at the girl for a while, before rolling his eyes. He hadn't known the events that had transpired, and thus said, "You're just being a baby." It was a little cruel, all things considered. He was going to let Rescha sleep in his bunk, until Treia had popped his head up and offered the batteries.

The angry soldier had snatched away the batteries, and forced himself to refrain from pushing Treia's head back down into his own bunk. "Shut the fuck up, and stop winking before I punch your lights out so badly you won't be able to open that eye." He defensively retorted, though his threats weren't serious. It was his way of being embarrassed. He grabbed the flashlight, popped the back open, and replaced the batteries. He flicked the switch on it, and a beam of light permeated through the dark room. He turned it off again, and then offered it to Rescha.

"Here." He said. "You can go back to bed if you're tired, but you can't sleep in my bunk. I'll prob'ly get reprimanded, and I don't want you here anyway." He harshly whispered, perhaps trying to save face in front of Treia.

"Shush!" Kam had hissed to the two, allowing the pillow to be taken as he dropped the flashlight to his lap and brought his hand up to his lips. "Jesus. You think I want everyone teasin' me like you are, dipshit?" He quipped toward Treia. He had then grabbed the pillow that Treia was swinging, and tried to hold it in place. He would be concerned for his dignity, if he already weren't concerned about everyone waking up. He had then looked toward Rescha, who had seemed intent on yelling for the entire bunker to hear.

"Don't yell. I danno what's up with these folks' problems are, but I know that your boy Dragon might have it out for me, and that the Commander is a grumpy fuck." He hissed again, before picking up the flashlight and handing it to Rescha again. "The flashlight is fixed. The dick in the bottom bunk don't mean no harm."

Kamala had brought his hand to his brow and squeezed the bridge of his nose as he gritted his teeth. He was trying not to be angry, but Treia wasn't exactly letting him. As Treia had talked, the man's voice had wore on him, and Kam threw his legs over the bunk. He dropped to the floor with a thump, and faced Treia. Mind you, he was a skinny man, and laden all in a wife-beater and heart-boxers, so 'intimidating' wouldn't be the word to use. He placed his foot on the man's mattress and clenched a fist.

"Shut the fuck up and go back to bed." He hissed, under a scowl. "You think I won't, and I like you, but I'll knock your fuckin' lights out, hear?" He threatened, obviously getting a little defensive on the matter. "We don't got no relationship, like she said. Was just talkin'. You're gonna make her holler again, and then someone's gonna get pissed at ALL of us. Get reprimanded for stayin' up. So shut up before you get socked up in the jaw."
