Personality
Karin is best described with brevity. Though she is chronlogically quite old,
Physiological Abnormalities
- Can jump many times her own height and deliver devastating kicks on account of her huge hips, legs and feet.
- Excellent sense of smell and night vision
- Can breathe underwater
- Cold-Blooded
- Skin retains moisture very well. If it dries out, she dies.
- Difficulty chewing food; Swallows food whole instead. Exponentially larger throat and stomach capacity.
- Extremely long, sticky frog-like tongue that can lash out at speeds that make it difficult for the human eye to track.
- Her flesh is poisonous. (Not to be confused with venomous)
Weapons and Armor
Soul Brand: A pitch black, weightless blade formed using Karin's soul as a power source. This magical armanent is volatile, prone to changing shape, extending it's length or even fighting on it's own at Karin's will.
Shadow Skin: Rather than a traditional set of armor, Karin protects herself with magic when threatened. Her skin gains a reacitonary shield that takes the edge off of every attack that hits her, showing up as pitch black energy whenever she is touched.
Magical Prowess
- Karin is fluent with dark magic, fire magic and unholy magic--in particular necromancy, curses and the conjuration of food.
- Her soul is super-potent, being far denser with spiritual energy than an adult human. She can tap into this power to commit intense feats of strength that would be outright impossible for a normal human. Does not require speech.
- She will self-resurrect some time after being killed unless her soul is captured and destroyed.
- Karin is capable of magically swapping out her clothes, weapons or armor for another set.
- Anti-Magic that would normally prevent someone from spellcasting has no effect on any of the above powers, as they are fueled by Erika's own strength rather than any latent magical force she could be disconnected from.
Companions and Pets
Ellie: Karin's stuffed elephant, Ellie, isn't quite as inanimate as it appears. Not quite demonic, but assuredly unholy, Ellie is an eldritch guardian taking the form of a stuffed elephant Karin carries at her side. His button eyes subtly follow everyone around him, defying logic by watching more people simultaneously than he has eyes to watch with. Ellie was a gift to Karin from her mother, an evil artifact she herself created to protect the most vulnerable of her daughters in times of need. When called upon or sensing a credible threat, Ellie grows exponentially, feeding upon the strengths of all the souls trapped in his fluffy body to give him his terrible strength. His body is not particularly durable, however, he can become quite huge and only thorough destruction can render him inert. Even more, so long as he is not completely destroyed he can potentially be repaired with nothing but a sewing needle and some new material, as he reverts to his smaller form when inert.
The restless dead: Using necromancy Karin can summon both bodiless corpses and give corporeal forms to latent spirits, raising the dead for her own purposes. Few are beyond manipulation, being only the strongest and weakest of souls respectively. Those too powerful for Karin to manipulate and those with nothing left to manipulate. She can create undead soldiers and servants who serve her every whim, bind spirits to her, trap souls to feed to Ellie and even potentially resurrect others, given the time.
Weaknesses
- Karin loses access to much of her spellcasting ability if she is unable to speak.
- Karin's body is very vulnerable to fire and ice magic, both of which can destabilize her body temperature and wreak havoc on her ability to keep fighting back.
- Holy magic is extremely effective at harming Karin, even more so than fire and ice magic. It has an effect on her similar to disintegration on contact.
- Even Karin's armor cannot protect her from sufficiently extreme temperatures.
