An empire of shapeshifters, the Erutins value their twin above all. Largely peaceful, they remain prepared for war.

So begins...

She walked into Gambit's humming.

Reed thin, with long legs adorned with dangerous-looking stilleto heels, Kashira slipped into Gambits as quietly as a shadow, her arms crossed over her chest as she looked about Gambits with a face devoid of expression. A shock of white hair covered her head, curling about her ears, and her eyes were wide and blue, ever-seeing, piercing in an almost invasive sense.

Stylishly clad, the woman looked like she was on her way to a night club, but her intentions had always been to come to this place she'd heard so much about.

"Curious," she murmured, walking to the bar counter and hooking a chair with her foot. Gracefully, she planted her rear on the edge of the seat, looking towards the ceiling before turning to press in an order.

Her eyes flicked to Shepherd, appraising him as he stripped off his sweater. Slipping from her stool, she walked closer to him, past him, and then sat down on his opposite side.

"If you're looking to strip," she said idly. "There are places where you can do that and get paid."

In spite of herself, Kashira laughed.

"There are also places you pay to sleep, rather than in the middle of this bar." she explained, sitting on the seat next to him. "What's got you so exhausted, Erutin? You look young and handsome, far too much so to get world-weary."

She inspected her fingernails. "I'm Kashira, also. Sorry to space-invade if you know what I mean."

Mirror, mirror, straight and tall...dare you show my fatal flaw?

The surface lies, all is not right

But mirror, hide it from the Other's sight.

She slipped into Gambit's bar, blue eyes round, capturing the excitement of the establishment with a wonder that was only granted to those who had never been to the place before. She reached a hand for the bar counter to steady herself, easing herself to the closest bar stool.

Without realizing, she'd sat next to Cyphus, her hand accidentally coming to brush against his arm as she brought her slender hands forward to rest in her lap.

Kashira turned her head slightly, her eyes warming as she smiled at the young man. Full lips pulled back, revealing teeth almost as blindingly white as her hair.

"No no," she murmured, her voice barely above the volume of a whisper. Tentatively, she reached to run her fingertips across his cheek, specifically, the blush that colored his skin.

"You are lovely." she told him, in the way an artist might remark on a landscape. In fact, she seemed quite enamored with the other figure's appearance.

"Kashira." she said, closing her eyes in pleasure as his fingertips brushed her cheeks. She was...odd, to say the least. When Cyphus would touch her skin, it would feel smooth, polished, and hard as porcelain.

"Do you know where I might find the mirror?" she asked, her eyes fixating on him. "My mirror."

She frowned just a little. "Not a mirror," she replied. "The mirror."

Her hands were smooth, that same glassy texture as she pulled away from his face. "Where do you come from?"

The Mirror would have loved this boy.

She straightened, crossing her legs at the ankles before lifting her hand and tucking a lock of white hair behind her ear. "The mirror." she said quietly. Standing, she reached to take his hand.

"Show me your mirror?" she asked softly, her eyes searching his.

She followed after him, her hand in his, as the darkness swallowed the pair. It seemed to make her uncomfortable. She fidgeted slightly, unable to move as smoothly as before. "A mirror is here." she managed to say, but her voice was toned strangely, jumping around in pitch and volume.

The girl seemed enraptured. She let go of Cyphus' hand, walking to the mirror, and coming face to face with her own reflection. The pair stared at one another for a long moment. In all that time Kashira neither spoke, or even breathed. Seconds extended to minutes.

Then, finally, the reflection moved...independently of the physical body it reflected.

The Kashira in the mirror did not wear the placid, smooth expression of the physical person Cyphus could see. She had a furrow to her brow, and there was an angry, frustrated glint to her eyes.

She saw Cyphus, then sighed heavily, audibly.

"Of course the ridiculous thing would bring someone like you back." she said, looking profoundly disappointed.

The reflection leveled a glare at Cyphus that wasn't in the least bit friendly.

"I thought the doll might be able to find someone who could help me find the Mirror." she said, with acid in her tone. "Instead she brings back someone else the Mirror might like. Stupid thing."

She heaved a sigh again, putting her hands to her forehead before letting her arms drop. "What's going on," she murmured. "Is that I'm stuck here."

"If I knew who, I would have figured something out by now." she replied sharply. "I don't remember much, hardly anything. Except I'm here and it's there." She jabbed a finger at the doll, who hadn't so much as taken a breath since it stood in front of the mirror. Kashira's look of anger faded a little, giving way to worry. "But if she breaks, so do I, and my chances of getting out of this place disappear."
