Hello, there. I will be asking you questions, and this will all be recorded, okay? Okay...? Good. Is this recording? Oh, it just recoded that. Okay, I'm going to start a queation and you wil... Finish it? Good.
So far I learned a little bit of fire. Fire Magic is one of the four primary elemental magics that I need to learn before getting more advanced, the other three being Air, Water, and Earth. Fire Magic can take years to just learn the basics, but there is a "shortcut" in the form of a trigger. A trigger can be a tattoo of anything from a golden, Celtic-looking symbol to an Aztec Sunstone, or even making a certain noise. Once the trigger is activated, the user will be able to call upon the power of fire. However, unlike the other elemental magics, Fire Magic is the only kind of magic that is directly linked to the user's Aura . If a person had a very strong Aura, their Fire Magic would be incredibly powerful. People who are trained in Fire Magic are warned never to call upon it's power if they are tired, weakened, or angry. Otherwise, the very fire that they are controlling will rage out of control and burn the user to a crisp in a second.
I have learned magic from a Fire Master. It was a peculiar experiance, and I dare not describe how the knowledge was passed on. But in the end, I had a tattoo burned into my skin, a sort of golden wristband with a red circle on it. If I touch the tattoo, which is my trigger, I can use my fire magic. Also, since I have a pure Purple Aura, my Fire Magic is stronger than normal people's.
Okay, good. Are there any personal items you carry around? Besides a book to read when I'm bored, my dagger, and darts? Nothing really. I have a few golden coins.
Out of Recording:
Some things about Katy and the world she's from have not been told in this, but rather uncovered in RP. I'll put those important quotes here.
"Yeah, when I learned I had a pure aura, I was forced to go to Hekate so she could unlock my full potential." She looked around then whispered to Legion; "She's a grumpy one, the Goddess of Three Faces. I'm just glad I didn't get burned to ashes when she unlocked my powers."
She laughed. "Well, she doesn't really have three faces. She ages with each day, literally. She looked twelve in the morning, twenty around midday and eighty near night. When night dies she..." She shrugged. "I guess she dies and is reborn the coming morning or something. I don't know everything about her, just what I was told." She said. "And apparently she was worshiped as a Greek goddess. Get this; she was the Greek goddess of magic and sorcery."
Katy Scout smiled. "I was just telling him a bit of 'mythology' from where I come." She said to the prince. "You see, from where I come, every myth has a grain of truth. Every religion, Greek, Roman and more were based off of true beings." She said. "But they were real gods, they are whats' called the Elder Race. A race of beings that were here before us and have much more power than us. Many were worshiped as gods and goddesses like Hekate." She said.
She smiled.
"Well, at first I wasn't even aware of it. I was just an ordinary teenage girl. But I'll tell you it like Hekate told me. For thousands of generations, humans have deliberately distanced ourselves from what we 'laughingly' call 'magic.' But magic is only the utilization of the entire spectrum of the senses. Humans have cut ourselves off from our senses. We only see a tiny portion of the visible spectrum, hear only the loudest of noises and we have poor senses of smell and taste. Once, mankind needed all of these senses simply to survive..." She took a breath. "Then the world changed. Danu Talis sank beneath the waves, the Age of Lizards passed and the Time of Ice came and we grew... Sophisticated." " We grew arrogant and, finding we didn't need all of our senses, we lost them." She was quiet for a few moments.
"Basically, she gave me those senses back that humans have lost, including magic."
"Have you met the demon-human half-breed? He had a Silver aura. A pure one. That's one of the most rare things... Ever. I've only heard of that happening once in like a millennia. In my world at least..." She shrugged it off. "Hey, you know what my career is?"
"I'm an Alchemyst. It's curious, because magic and Alchemy don't mix well. To be an Alchemyst, it requires near-infinite patience for all of the mathematics and calculations, while most magic is the exact opposite."
"What I meant was, most magics require fast-acting and little room for patience. If you're too slow on some magics it could go horridly wrong."
More in-depth on her Abilities:
When someone is trained in the Magic of Fire, they can call upon it by activating their trigger. When they do this, they are able to create, generate, manipulate, project, and become fire in any form they can imagine. These are a few possibilities when one has control over Fire Magic:
-Fire Projection: Ability to project blazing beams, blasts, balls, and explosions of extremely hot fire and heat.
-Burning: Ability to burn, scald, singe, scorch, vaporize, evaporate, and incinerate a person or thing by touching them.
-Fire Absorption: Ability to absorb fire into one's self harmlessly.
-Fire Breath: Ability to breath fire in the same manner as a dragon.
-Fire Extinguishing: Ability to instantly extinguish fires.
-Fire Constructs: Ability to create any shape, constructs, weapons, even beings formed purely from fire.
---She has been able to, upon practice, make daggers of fire and also Flame Atronachs.
-Firestorm: Ability to create large storms of fire.
-Fire Manipulation: Ability to control the movement of fire and heat.
-Spontaneous Combustion: Ability to wreathe one's self entirely in fire or become pure fire.
-Welding & Fusing: Ability to weld and fuse objects via fire and heat.
-Healing: Ability to heal certain types of wounds with fire.
Studying with a Pyromancer.
Katy's been away for a few months, why? Studying with a Pyromancer. At first it started as rash studies, slightly maker her more in control of the fire. She then learned to pack her flame spells tighter, making impact from any attack able to stagger even strong opponents. Eventually, she Augmented (Verb; Make (something) greater by adding to it; increase: "he augmented his income by painting houses".) her Flames with her pure aura, making her fire burn hotter than before. She then could make them even more intense and burn brighter. After a while, she perfected a technique called Elemental Ram... It's way better than the earlier mentioned Impact one. Her attacks have way more force. She then learned her first, as the Pyromancer called it, "Soul" perk. Burning Heart. Her tatoo was added onto with more of the golden design and not only did she learn the control needed for all of these earlier methods she learned, (Which she did lack the control, if you hadn't noticed,) it also made her five times more resistant to fire. Then, she got the Pyromancer's Contract. Fire attacks were stronger, burned brighter, and hotter. They also cost less energy out of her Aura to cast. They also gave her a new ability. "Burning State," before she could catch her body on fire in a flame cloak, but now, under certain conditions, she can activate a new power that turns her into 100% fire for a short amount of time, making her fire attacks way stronger. The conditions? She has to be pretty close to death.
Her next magic to learn is Water.
