While Dannyl was talking, Kiera's free hand had slowly but surely been creeping its way down her side toward the holster at her hip. Now gripping the pistol within, the agent hissed in pain as her arm was twisted, almost losing her hold on it. Regaining a firmer grip, Kiera lifted the weapon carefully out, twisted it to place it against Dannyl's gut and smiled briefly.

"I am not in... a particularly conversational... mood at the moment." she murmured, squeezing the trigger several times to discharge bullets into the man's stomach, moments before Ayasha launched her spell.

"You... killed... my... brother." Kiera hissed, "He was... only... eight. Eight." With a growl, the young woman jerked her elbow back at Dannyl's stomach, aiming for where the bullets had pierced his stomach in an attempt to cause him at least some pain. Following this, she lifted the hand up to press against his cheek, once more attempting a psychic attack against him, her black eyes distant and unfocused.

Kiera shuddered as Dannyl released her, taking several unsteady steps forwards. The psychic assault might have been successful, but it had not been pleasant - it never was. Through the delivery of so many images and sense-overloading thoughts, Kiera had been subjected to Jeanson's own mind. It was not a pretty place.

The small woman looked to Ayasha, her pure black eyes blinking several times. "I am about... to lose consciousness, I... think. I have... a room on... the second floor. Third door on... the left." she said, ever practical even as darkness began to fill her vision. "Ah... thank you for... the help."

With that, Kiera collapsed forwards. Psychic attacks on utter maniacs were never, ever fun.

The girl who liked to sit on the bar counter was there again.

Joe, the bartender, was stood nearby, wiping down glasses as was general practice when not actively doing something important. It kept his hands busy, and was a reassuring presence for many people who were otherwise somewhat lost in the bar. A bartender wiping glasses was something ever-present, a reassuring normality in an otherwise strange world.

Kiera, that was her name. He'd spoken to her a few times, she was a regular. Stayed in the hotel above most days. More than once he'd carried her up there. Dumb kid didn't know when she was tired, it was like watching over a five year old. She sat there, now, as silent as ever, a juicebox somewhat comically held in one hand, the straw poking from her mouth. Joe rolled his eyes. She didn't half perpetuate her own childish image, despite protesting it when he commented.

Her eyes were the oddest thing about her, beyond her posture, her quiet nature and her habit of sitting on the counter, rather than at it. Pure black, pure black and empty. It was impossible to read emotion from them. A little off-putting, but you learnt to get around it after a little while. You could see her emotions through other things -- like now, her lips tight and her brow creased. She was focused, annoyed.

Joe followed her gaze towards Jack and 'Marty', two men in obvious disagreement to the side of the bar. Kiera was obviously interested in them -- but why?

Whatever inspired her interest, Kiera acted. She lifted herself from the counter before hopping down to the floor, landing lightly. A few quick strides brought her to the pair.

“What, exactly... do you think that... you are doing?” Kiera spoke as unsteadily as ever, yet with quiet conviction. She was not concerned for her wellbeing. If anything, her voice carried mild irritation that these men would perform such inconsiderate acts with her in the vicinity.

Kiera smiled. "I find the worst liars... are the ones who... are far too enthusiastic about... it." she noted idly, seeming to examine her feet. "Oh, and I'm... alright with my... juice, thank you." the girl added. Stepping forwards, without any real suddenness, Kiera slid herself to lean upon a table directly adjacent to where the two were standing, within arm's reach.

"I hope you... don't mind if I... sit? I like to... be comfortable when... listening to... bullshit."

Kiera lifted a hand then, gently, not at all threateningly. It was practically limp, moving very slowly through the air toward Marty, to tap on his arm. "You are quite right... of course. Nothing... is going to... 'go down', as you... put it, here. Though... I do not think... for a minute that... you did not intend... for things to 'go down'. They... simply... shall not."

Kiera smiled faintly, looking up directly into Marty's eyes, her hand resting on his arm, inviting him to grab it, to try and remove it -- just to make contact of some sort.

Such light contact was all that Kiera needed. Her hand locked around Marty's own, psychic torture pulsing into the man's mind and completely shattering his orientation, confusing him, blinding him, overwhelming every one of his senses with a thousand different imagined sensations. Pain, light, smell, confusion, information, sound... all focused into the space of a few seconds.

At the same time, the girl extracted information forcefully. Who was this man? A killer, hired, deadly, trained, dangerous. Who was his target? Jack Calumet, ex SOD agent. Associate of Director Kennicot.

Face screwed up in concentration, Kiera allowed a smile onto her features. "Thank you for... the information... Martin. You may... collapse on... the floor now." she whispered, before intensifying her psychic assault to an unbearable level, aimed to entirely incapacitate the man into a shuddering and disoriented wreck.

"Hmmm... this might pose... complication." That was an understatement. Kiera flipped backwards, rolling over her head back off of the table to land daintily on her feet on the other side of the furniture. A hand went to the holster at her hip, and brought out a pistol, that without any hesitation was lifted to point at and track what had once appeared to be 'Marty', and fired.

Six shots, towards the chest and head. No words, just action. Kiera couldn't be bothered to speak.

Not dead? Damn. There were an alarming number of people that didn't have the good nature to die when you shot them around these days. Well, there wasn't much else to do apart from keep trying, at this point.

More shots followed, one after another. When the gun ran out of bullets, Kiera reloaded. Systematic, expression blank and devoid of emotion. Just another day at the office, after all.

Kiera Hunt wandered into the bar idly, pushing the door aside softly and padding in in her thin flat bottomed shoes. The young woman approached the bar without a word or deviation, and sat herself upon a stool between Anne Sofani and Ilumiya, leaning forward on the counter on her elbows.

"A glass... of milk, please." she directed towards Harriet without so much as a smile.

Kiera Hunt immediately, without so much as looking up, jerked her arm sideways to gain contact with the nearest point of bare skin upon Ilumiya's form, most likely a hand, but possibly her face. As soon as that contact was made, Kiera would deliver a powerful psychic assault, attempting to overload the alien's mind with layer after layer after wall after wall of images, sounds, tastes, smells, feelings; information, emotion - the full compliment of mental attacks. This would almost certainly send a human into unconsciousness due to the utter overload of their brain.

Kiera Hunt was unprepared for this, but thankfully for her, had constantly maintained psychic shields around herself to block out the surface thoughts of those around her. Whilst they were no match for the sudden assault, it prevented the girl from being overwhelmed by Ilumiya's counter-assault, essentially placing them into a mental lock. Kiera would eventually come out on top, having had years of practice with her psychic powers, but it would take some time to resolve, unless...

Kiera Hunt looked up to Sonya, black eyes narrowed. "She has... sent out a... distress call." the psychic informed her fellow. Kiera reached around onto the woman's body to where the beacon was located, having picked it up from the psychic lock, and handed it to Sonya.

Kiera Hunt in the meantime, whilst Blackjack was occupied with pulling himself off of the ground and forming the shield, from her position behind him and to the side, lifted her pistol and fired two shots toward his head.

Kiera didn't do 'messing around' to try and conserve life. She didn't see the point.

Kiera Hunt broke forwards from the group of officers to approach XXI. The girl was unarmed, unarmoured and appeared entirely unthreatening.

"Put the weapon... down, sir." she insisted, continuing to walk towards him.

Kiera Hunt stepped out of Sonya's car after the woman herself took cover, apparently unarmed, clad only in a white dress. She was shoeless, and closed the door behind her, allowing the evening breeze to brush at her hair.

Kiera gazed over at the car wreck, and due to the apparently hostile nature of its inhabitants, placed a cautionary barrier before herself -- invisible, of course, formed of physic energies, but such precautions had to be taken. Unlike the other two women, Kiera remained out in the open (at least as far as most could see).

Kiera Hunt moved over to join Sonya silently, bare feet probably odd enough to notice upon the cold road. The girl gazed at the car, waiting for Izumi to emerge. Despite her meek appearance, she also held her own pair of handcuffs.

Kiera Hunt frowned faintly as Sonya's search bore no evident results, and sighed. Using the logic that Izumi couldn't have fallen out of the back of the car while the chase was going on without being run over, and couldn't have walked away from the crash without being spotted, he must still be in the immediate area, right?

So Kiera extended her mind outwards, lowering the mental barriers around her mind and exposing herself to the thoughts of those around her. She sensed Sonya's perplexed confusion - 'Where the fuck did that kid go?', Cally's irritation 'Pervert...', the driver's probable annoyance with his employers for getting him arrested.

And Kazen's... well. That wasn't nice to hear, anyway.

However, as expected, she did also detect another person, and his surface thoughts also. "He's in... the trunk... Sonya."

She also read his surface thoughts, as noted, and of course the gracious writer of the man in question would provide!

"He appears to be... panicking, rather than... planning an... attack." Kiera noted, moving to stand next to Sonya with her shielding despite this. "You never... know what... a panicking man... might do." she explained when Sonya gave her a questioning glance.

Also meanwhile, elsewhere in the station...

In the room at the end of the corridor in which Izumi was located, Kiera Hunt sat quietly with her arms crossed. The psychic had her mind open, and was listening to the thoughts of the teenager. This method of 'listening in' was a lighter form of the probing that was employed later on in the investigation, as a last resort. It wasn't forcing into his mind, merely reading his surface thoughts.

Sonya's own were also audible to Kiera's, as well as a pair of officers in the room behind her. Anyone who approached the room in which Izumi and Sonya were would also be detectable to the psychic, as a side-effect.
