Description

Klaus Helstein is a German neuroscientist born in 1885. He was one of the smartest people everyone knew. He thrived on being the smartest person that does and will ever exist. Klaus learned all he could in the medical, psychological, and physical fields. He began to grow more and more curious of the supernatural as his days went on. In 1925, Klaus went to a library of the supernatural and started reading. He learned of a risen demon known as Raegonaught, who turned from the devil and refuses to cause harm to innocent people. Raegonaught is known for granting mortals their desires in exchange for something in return. Klaus skeptically goes to his home and attempts to summon him. Klaus is only half successful, he summons one of thousands of children of Raegonaught's known as Shriar, a half demon. Shriar explains that his father had died near a century ago in human years/10,000 years in hell time. The two manage a civil conversation to the point where Klaus wants to ask a favor, Klaus wants to know and learn everything there is, normal and paranormal. Shriar agrees, but in return, Klaus must also take on the curse of the Lycan. Klaus accepts the terms and immediately transforms against his will. Shriar explains it will get less painful the more he turns, and will not be able to control this on the day of a full moon. As Klaus returns to human form he passes out, when he wakes a few hours later he regrets the decision severely, he is now unable to forget the pain. Klaus goes to the closest airport and travels to America to try and start a new life. As he lands in Younger City, Indiana, he meets a Native American given the name Louis. Louis tells Klaus about American racism and must be wary. Klaus feeling tormented, wants to go through an extended sleep, even further away from his problems. Over the span of a few months, Klaus creates a chryogenic slumber device that does not wake him until the year 1993. Shriar is the first to greet him. Shriar tells Klaus he made a mistake for giving him the Lycan, because Shriar's siblings started imitating and dishing out curses to those who hadn't even made a deal. All that Klaus had taken with him to this new time was his father's rapier sword, his father's flintlock pistol, and a semi - automatic crossbow of his own design. Klaus explores outside, he sees news reports of "mystics" rioting in Florida, do to a new form of racism that now exists. Shriar finds the chaos humorous, but covers the little bit of regret he has, Shriar promises to keep in touch.

Parem'Zel Walking through Port Aether, Parem once again tapped into the energy of his soul, sensing all other living souls throughout the city. However on the outskirts of the city he could just barely sense a familiar energy. A mysterious force he barely new but had felt once before. Out of curiosity he tried extending the reach of his soul sense. His chest began to burn as another tiny speck of his sliver of his soul was burnt away. The pain of excruciating but he simply had to know the location of this oddly familiar energy. The farther the radius of his soul sense expanded the more it hurt. There! That's it! Somewhere south of the city. As soon as he was able to home in on the mysterious souls exact location, he dropped the soul sense. Nearly collapsing on the ground as the intense burning in his chest slowly faded away.

Parem'Zel Parem's eyes narrowed with a brief smile across his face. Recognizing the soul, he stood to his feet, taking a moment to catch his breath and allow the pain in his chest to fully fade away. As he collected himself he casually straightened his jet black coat and began heading south.
