"What do you think you're doing here, Terran?" A voice spoke out, followed by several words of agreement from surrounding beings. "If you wanna be here, you better pay the toll. How about that helmet of yours? And that weapon." The voice continued, bringing laughter to the other's as they pushed more and more onto the individual they were talking to. A being resembling a normal Terran, but really a derivative of that pathetic species, Elementum. Of course, it would be useless to try and explain this little misunderstanding, especially to these kind of thugs.

"I'm not giving anything to pathetic scum like you." The masked man replied, his bright green eye staring right into the thug's eyes, as if he was staring into the soul. The man's voice was monotone, emotionless, a voice of someone who shouldn't be living the life of a mortal. But that wasn't something to deter the thugs, especially when they outnumber the man; who had already noticed the large levels of hostility.

Within only a few moments of deep pulsing sounds, the alleyway fell silent. Allowing the man to emerge from the darkness, not a single scratch on him as he straightened his tie and waistcoat before heading off through the busy streets of Zumillion as if the graphic murders he had committed never happened. Leaving the large pool of blood, originating from the pile of bodies that were defiled to the point of being unrecognisable.

Amanda, other wise known as The Phantom Rouge, was walking past the ally when she heard someone yell. "...I'm not giving anything to pathetic scum like you."

She activated the helmet latch, causing the visor to collapse down around her face. she flicked off the safety on her assault her rifle and sprinted down the ally. her armored boots clanked on the ground. she ran into a man in armor surrounded by armed thugs. "oh boys!" she said with heavy bravado, "why don't you pick on someone you're own size?"
Rouge quickly fired two burst of automatic gunfire from her assault rifle. she watched the ammo counter drop in her HUD. She grit her teeth and dove behind a dumpster. good news: were focusing on her. bad news: they were completely focused on her. she went to lean out and nearly got shot in the face for it. she new it was a matter of time before they tried flanking her. she sprinted out of cover wasting precious ammo in a spray of full auto mayhem. her target was gone. the muggers where dead. she sighed as her clip count on her weapon read zero. she dropped the empty clip and reloaded. the clip count showed full again. she pressed a button on her neck on the right side right below her ear, and her helmet visor opened up around her turning into a hood. "well thanks to this mess i lost my target." she replied with the same tone. and i guess now that i saved you, you owe me. so now you're going to help me track him down."

Nadya was one hundred percent not certain why she was here at all. The siren call of adventure? Well, she still had the backpack that Bo had insisted she prepare ‘just in case’ she really upset the house mother one day. And she had. And then she had ridden her bike to the spaceport, and then there were these huge thugs so she hid in some cargo with her bike, and now? Now she was pretty sure that she was going to be stuck here for some time. All of this added up to the fact that the incredibly lost teen walked her bike down the street. She swallowed as she glanced around here. This was not really a good place, she decided. She should probably try and figure out how to get home somehow.

The teen was pushing her bike along the sidewalk as she studied the area. The she spotted Kyle. Hm. That inner voice she had learned to listen to told her that this one would be interesting. It may not work out, of course, and there was always the distinct possibility of being shot at. But she was from Wing City. She could handle this. The girl took a deep breath and then nodded. Then she made her way closer. “HI! I’m Nadya, who’re you?” Friendly, perky, nice. She oud do this. It was also probably her only chance at a safe place to sleep that night, but Bo had totally taught her what to do if she ended up on the streets for the night.

The masked man continued his way down the streets of Zumillion, lost. It was one problem for him to suddenly get kicked into some form of portal to this place, but he was also attacked by thugs. He really needed to get out of the immediate area as soon as possible before someone finds the mess he had made back in the alleyway. Of course, the sound of someone calling out to him quickly thrown the man on edge; only to see a child standing before him.

Stopping in his tracks, the masked man looked down to this young girl, quickly introducing herself. His bright green eye glared directly into the girl's eyes through the broken gap formed in his helmet, as if he was staring directly into her soul. "A child like you shouldn't be talking to strangers, you know." Kyle replied, waving his hand dismissively to the girl before attempting to walk away. "You should stay with your parents."

"Well, if you introduced yourself, you wouldn't be a stranger anymore, would you?" She grinned to him. She had never understood how that worked. Once you had met someone, they were no longer a stranger, so once you were introduced, you weren't talking to a stranger at all! "Besides, stranger danger is a total myth. Everyone knows that."

She hoped he didn't mind talking to her. She knew he was a good guy though. He wouldn't be warning her of stranger danger if he wasn't! "Also, my parents were killed by Aschens a couple of years ago. So I don't have any to stay with." Technically if she wasn't lost on a strange planet that she was somehow going to subtly find out the name of then she would have the house mother, but she was totally a jerk and Nadya didn't like it there anyway. "Your helmet is broke, by the way. Did you know?" Being friendly and disarming worked normally. People just never really expected it, for some reason. To be extra friendly, Nadya gave him a great big smile. She was going to make a new friend with this guy whether he wanted to or not!

Kyle audibly blew air through his nose as a form of laughter at Nadya's words; technically, she's right. These words, and the way she's always grinning, it really does remind him of someone. A close friend from back where he had come from, was she also transported here? Or is she working hard trying to get him back? Zoning out wasn't really something Kyle did, but in this case, it's something that finally happened; perhaps it was due to loosing everything. Of course, he was quickly brought back into reality as the girl spoke out some more. A situation Kyle also experienced at a young age...

With a sigh, Kyle rested his spear over his shoulder as he turned his body towards Nadya, still glaring down at her. "You're a sneaky thing aren't you?" He replied, shifting his weight as he pulled his spare hand from his pocket, holding it towards Nadya to initiate a handshake, "I'm Whisper. And I'm quite aware of my broken helmet, think of it as a trophy."

Suddenly, something relatively important came into his mind; "Do you not have anywhere to stay? A relative or something?"

Nadya shook his hand, pleased. "It's nice to meet you Whisper! And Bo, she's my best friend, says I'm not so good at the sneaking thing, but I have gotten better." She considered what to say, how to explain her situation. Well, the best way was usually just to go ahead and say it. She didn't really know another way to do so, after all. The girl shrugged. "Nope. Well, I do, but it's on Terra. And this isn't Terra. I'm not sure where I was, but there was definitely some kinda warp involved." She smiled uncertain. "And this big thugs who I had to hide from. And a spaceship." She managed a grin.

"So I'm kind of on an adventure. But it's okay, cause I got pretty good at catching and cooking pigeons and birds and rats." Someone who didn't know the dynamic duo of Bonadya would likely be very concerned. Anyone who knew the duo would realize that she knew these things largely because Bo was some kind of cat being, and tended to hunt for her own food. Nadya had learned how bemusingly, and it looked like it may be useful. "And this is a city. So there's definitely pigeons."

Kyle cocked his head to the side slightly at the mention of this 'Terra' place, he's never heard of somewhere like that; assuming he was still on earth that is. Wait, a spaceship? Did he go forward in time? Everything's getting more and more confusing, what the hell happened? "What is this 'Terra'? I've never heard of it." Kyle first questioned, considering the order of questions he should as this child. "And what do you mean 'spaceship'? Is it some kind of game you've been playing?"

There was so many questions he had to ask, and so many things going around him. It's more overwhelming than his time back home during the peace wars. Hopefully, this child might bring him some answers, and perhaps explain this thing with pigeons.

"Probably that way." She said and pointed in a completely random direction in the sky. "I don't know. And Terra is my home planet! It's super rich with some rare resources so there's basically always invaders and we basically never have time to recover the fleet we lost way before I was born. Some kind of civil war happened and the space army thing was completely destroyed by the end of it. And I mean, you know, a spaceship? It's, um..." Nadya tried to think of how to describe space ship as something other than a ship in space. "It's a vehicle used for traveling in space." Yeah, that wasn't much better. Whatever, she was thirteen. She didn't have to know everything.

The teen looked him over and then shrugged. She couldn't describe it, not wel. "It's how I got here, on a cargo ship." She explained. "I stowed away. By accident." Because some days her life was one big accident. This had definitely been one of them. "How do you not know what a spaceship is? I mean, I got here via a space port."

Kyle thought hard at this, it can't be just some game, the story's too advanced for a child to lie about. So he really had been transported somewhere forward in time, or even some different realm. This is proving to be a large problem for Kyle to find a way back; however, what the child had been talking about. Some rare resources, constant invaders, this 'Terra' may hold the answer he needs to get home. Now the next problem he has to deal with; getting to Terra.

"It's a long story..." Kyle replied, sighing in annoyance as he tried to think things though. "How can you stow away by accident? Nadya's story was getting a bit too crazy for an orphan to experience, is this Terra that bad with controlling transports and cargo?

"I was hiding from these thugs, and the platform I was hiding between some crates on was moving very suddenly, and I don't know about you, but jumping off a platform 20 feet in the air is too scary for me." She said firmly and then bushed. "And the I was on the ship, and it's not like I can just say 'Hey this was an accident.' because it's not really that believable is it?" She grinned, though her cheeks were rather pink. "Besides, most cargo areas are completely robotic, and by the time I even found my way out of the cargo bay we had taken off, and I didn't want to get in trouble."

Besides, they could have totally been the enemy. That was a distinct possibility, and she well knew it. The teen was used to things possibly being the enemy. And the worst part was, this was one hundred percent any Terrans luck because Terra just had to be cursed. She just knew it. Or it could jsut be the basic lack of any real authority that any one actually paid attention to for long.

Kyle listened intently to Nadya's story. The whole thing makes sense, thugs can be little shits most of the time. She tried, but failed. Perhaps Kyle could help this child return to her planet, bring her back while he can get more information. It's a win-win situation for both of them. Hopefully things here shouldn't be too bad when it comes to trying to return to Terra.

"I understand your story, you did well with your survival instinct." Kyle complimented the girl, patting her on the head as he looks around the area, trying to find some signs of a 'spaceport'. "How about we travel back to Terra so you can get back home?"

"That would be great." She didn't want to lose her paper routes after all. Though she was pretty certain at least one of the routes she did wasn't about to get taken over. People just didn't like Gambit's for some reason. She had never had any trouble with it though! The teen grinned at him. "But i don't have a passport or travel papers or even an I.D. on me. So I'm probably going to have to stowaway on purpose, this time." If she could even find a ship going to Terra. then it occurred to her exactly what he had said. We.

Oh wow.

He wanted to come to? Wow! she brightened and smiled to him. "You'll like Terra! It's super beautiful and there's all kinds of different people there. I mean, it's still mostly human, but even all the humans look super different, and there's so many nonhumans I can't even think of them all. My best friend is one!" It was a fairly tolerant world too. It had to be to survive. With some effort, Nadya stopped herself from prattling on. She didn't want to talk his ear off.

The girl seemed a bit too excited to be travelling with a mass murderer like Kyle, then again, he had to reason to do anything bad to her. She helped him, and apparently there's a place with humans. Wait, 'still' mostly human? Does that mean that this Terra is the homeworld to the human race? Is it just another name for earth? He might just make it back safely faster than he thought. Of course, as Nadya had stated, the problem is finding a ship to Terra. Kyle also doesn't have any necessary paperwork to legally travel.

"I also don't have any documents, so we'll both have to stowaway." He stated, ready to head off to the spaceport, "Are humans native to Terra? It's quite important for me to find them, and why are there nonhumans on their homeworld?" He clicked his tongue, looking up to the musky skylines of the city, "Disgusting.

"That works out then. And yeah, humans are native to Terra." she said cheerfully. "But a lot of the nonhumans are native too. Bo is nonhuman and she's native. Its because there's this...well, I don't really understand it all, so I'm gonna use the explanation they give little kids. Its because Terra has a lot of natural energy that causes spontaneous mutations. It can be harnessed, and it's known as magic." She shrugged. "Not everyone can harness it though. Only like, very few. Not even 1% of the population. But it even existing means that sometimes things that weren't sentient suddenly are. Bo's dad was like that, I think." she wasn't sure. Bo didn't talk about her dad. "The city I lived in is a nonhuman hotspot."

She grinned. "But that's okay! Cause we all share a planet, and it's all our home. And at least we aren't Aschen!" That was said with an unholy gleam in her eyes. She wasn't certain what she would do if she met an Aschen. She was pretty sure she would know, even if they looked a lot alike though. She'd definitely at least kick them in the shin. Aschen were monsters.

They shouldn't come to Terra.

Kyle thought hard, magic? The only magic he's aware of is this strange thing his species can do, but then again, he might as well just be 'human with some powers'. The trouble is that humans are too scared of anything different; at least, back home they were. Perhaps it's different here, he really must have been thrown somewhere completely different.

"You're really happy about life, aren't you?" Kyle added, pointing out Nadya's constant grinning and happy attitude which really conflicted with his emotionless, monotone personality. It didn't matter though, this girl is helping him out, the least he can do is make sure she made it home safely. Besides, he has his powers and his spear to make sure they aren't found, footsteps are very easy to blank out. "Ah, who are the Aschen?"

She continued on the way to the spaceport, as she remembered it, given she just came from there. She bit her bottom lip and shrugged, the light leaving her eyes as she concentrated on the basic she used for carrying rolled newspapers. Quietly, she spoke. "I have to be. I'm an orphan on a planet full of orphans. We're at peace now, but it never lasts. Someone will want our resources, or want to wipe out magic. And then there will be even more orphans. My home...the entire country I lived in was destroyed. Wiped off the map, not a building standing, and it's uninhabitable now." She explained. "So I got shipped off to Wing City. I live in an orphanage, all girl, though it's not called that. They call it a girl's group home. No one there is cute enough or young enough to get adopted. I could...I could give up, and give in and cry myself to sleep every night and never smile again."And there were days that's exactly what she wanted to do. She took a deep breath.

"Or I could stay happy. It's not always easy, but it's better than being sad. I mean, yeah my parents died, but I never would have moved to Wing City, gotten my bike and a cool job, or met my best friend if they hadn't. And yeah, my home was destroyed, but I have a new one. And yeah, it kind of sucks this far from home, and I'm hungry and tired and just want my own bed, even if it is in an orphanage, because it's warm and I'm not hungry there. But now I've made a friend. And it's not a bad thing, just an adventure. Adventures can be scary, but they mostly end safely." If she thought of it like that, then she wasn't so scared, didn't want to just huddle up and cry hidden somewhere away.

Kyle walked beside Nadya, one hand in a pocket, the other holding his spear over his shoulder as his eye glared at any civilian they walked past; easily scaring people away from the two while sparking some whispers around the area. Nadya's story really was something eventful, especially for a child. However, this story was very close to Kyle's own past, the killed parents, the destroyed home, nowhere to go. She took it way better than he did, she may be someone of great abilities.

"It's best to stay that way, don't let any of that hurt you. You need this past to help you continue, to give you the strength to carry on. Eventually, you'll be able to get those idiots back." Kyle replied, ironically, "I also lost my parents back when I was your age. They were publically executed for holding a certain surname, in front of me. Then my whole home town was destroyed. So I was left wondering the radiated wastelands with only one survivor by my side. You should hold your friend dear; like mine, the survivor, she saved me from giving up." He explained further, attempting to give some meaningful words to the child, hoping to give her the confidence to continue.

As the two continued walking, Kyle looked up once again, "Too bad I made the mistake of letting it all get to me. Now look at me..."

"I think....you just need daisies." Definitely. "Flowers make everything better. I'll make you a daisy crown when we get to Terra." She promised him, all too easily. She made great flower crowns, thick and full and perfect, as far as she was concerned. She thought it would look a little silly over his helmet, but that was totally excuseable. The teen shrugged and continued to lead the way, until they hit a fences off area. There was a hole in the fence that the girl had found and taken advantage of. It didn't really fit her bike, but she had wriggled it through.

"That's the spaceport. We should probably try a cargo ship or something. Those aren't so packed with people." Less chance of being noticed, maybe? The girl, small of frame, stature, and basically everything physical looked to him, then looked to the gap in the fence. "Do you think you can make it?" She said and bit her bottom lip, uncertain. It wasn't a big gap.

Kyle looked down at Nadya as she promised the gift of a daisy crown, his glare turned into a look of confusion as he reluctantly accepted the promise. It's best not to argue with a child who knows very well how to survive, besides, it's the least he can do in return to helping him find some means to return home.

As the child led Kyle to the fence, he got even more confused. Does she intent to climb it? Oh, there was a hole in the fence which was swiftly crawled through by the child. Of course, she was concerned over Kyle's access through the fence, if it's a way that allows them to make it to a ship, then he won't need to go 'through' the fence. Instead, Kyle crouched slightly, looking to the top of the fence in order to judge it's height. With a low pitch 'boom' sound, a slightly visible sonic pulse could be seen building up around his lower legs; only to powerfully fire into the ground, propelling Kyle into the air as he jumped so he could clear the fence and land next to Nadya. His hand still in his pocket and spear held over his shoulder as if nothing had happened.

"Don't worry about accessibility, let's get going."
