For the Duration of the Belkan Crisis, Mina is in command of the Star of Tirese, a Mordred Class Titan

The Mordred is a gigantic finger of battleplate, extending 24km into space, covered in the same ornate architecture that covers its smaller counter-part, the Lancelot. The ship is over 2km wide the first 100 meters of the ships skin being honeycombed with thick reinforcements, and over fifty meters of adamantium battleplate. The prow of the ship is moulded into the face of a snarling lion, plated in gold. Extending from the mouth is the barrel of the ship's main cannon. The cannon extends the whole 24km of the ship, its barrel yawning, big enough to fly an escort into. It is essentially a giant orbital defense railgun, mounted inside the ship. The shells fired are roughly the size of sky-scrapers, and are capable of destroying the heaviest ship with a single shell. Studding each flank of the Mordred are five-hundred smaller railguns, designed to be fired in rippling broadsides to destroy smaller ships and formations. The underside of the Titan is devoted to massive hanger-bays, each holding enough space for over six hundred planetary assault craft. The largest houses three escorts. The Mordred is covered in 25mm close range cannons, and launch-tubes for Valkyrie mechs.

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov swept down from the bridge, slipping a com-bead into her ear. "Get Giraud back here." She called angrily as she stomped down the corridor, buttoning her uniform jacket up to the neck. "I'm heading out to the UCON station, First Officer has the bridge." As she entered the cramped interior of the elevator, she checked the sidearm in her belt. After a breif interlude, she stepped out of the elvator, and onto one of the bustling flight-decks aboard the Star. Waiting for her beside a fast picket was Giraud, his nose buried in a thick breifing docket. Mina paced over to him, a smile crossing her face. "Gimme the lowdown on the Aschen and Taiyou. Didn't get time to read the official documents."

The picket knifed through all the orbital traffic, passed the numerous Confederacy escorts heading for the station, lines of lights flickering across their prows. Strapped inside the luxurious interior of the picket, Mina snorted at the fat dossier covered with the Coalition flag. "Gawd these guys are bastards. Ol' Stern was too soft on them. He shoulda fucked them up for what they did to Terra." Giraud leaned back in his seat, sucking on the butt of an unlit cigarette. "I agree. On principle, however without UCON support, we would have been annihilated."

The lights darkened, and the restraints tightened as the small engines on the pickets flared as it slid into the UCON hanger bay, touching down on the deck. Mina pulled her Admiral's hat down over her braided cornrows and stepped down the ramp, Giraud and an honour guard of six troopers hot on her heals. "Form up on my right, look impressive." She snapped irately, concious that this would be the first diplomatic meeting between the Confederacy and the rest of Home. The trooper's burgundy power-armour hissed and whirred as the servos moved, the dull shick of swords being unsheathed, and the thrum of power-fields being ignited. Mina took point, with Giraud on her right, and the guard forming a loose vee behind them.

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov hung back from the group, Giraud at her shoulder. "Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov. Confederacy Navy. This is Giraud. My- uh- Bodyguard." Giraud shrugged and flicked a lighter, breathing out a cloud of foul smelling smoke in the direction of the Taiyou and UCON. Mina smoothed down her uniform and turned back to dismiss the honour-guard. The slam of heels clicking together rang out across the deck, and the five soldiers headed back towards the picket, slipping the power-swords back into sheaths.

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov moved up to join the group, removing her hat and passing it to Giraud. "If the Aschen want to hide behind your coat-tails then fine. We have no need for cowards in this fight." Mina shook out her neck, unbuttoning her jacket. Giraud leaned in a whispered some platitude about diplomacy, but was quickly waved away by the Admiral. "The Aschen clearly want us out of the way. If they were behind the alliance, they would help."

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov tried to conceal a snort of derision, with a cough, drawing a look of reproach from the normally impassive Giraud. "Thinking long-term has its place. This is not that place. The Aschen's need for a complete risk free war will get us all killed." Mina slipped a hand through her hair and continued. "We can fight without the Aschen, but it would be nice of them to be a little less selfish."

"Perhaps we should come back to the true purpose of why we are here. Her Majesty is probably right, but I will demand reparations from the Aschen if they abstain from this, most important of operations." Mina smiled as the words rolled off her tongue, making the point that she could be a good orator, despite her highly militarized appearence. "I would also like to thank UCON for their contribution to reviving the Confederacy's armoury." Turning, she indicated the group of troopers who snapped to attention. "As you can see, the power-armour atleast has been successful.

Giraud stubbed the cigerette out with his boot and turned to the Yukiko. "I believe we can supply you with our old Gyrojet weaponry. I know its not much but you can still put a hole in a Belkan with 'em" Mina stood impassively, nodding in affermation. "Our ships armouries still hold a large portion of these weapons. Distrubution could happen immidiently."

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov followed quietly behind the Empress, checking the pistol at her hip. As Giraud moved to follow, she waved him away with Yamamoto and Katamura, then signalling the troopers to watch Giraud. It would be just like him to slip off and steal something that would jepardise the alliance.

"I'm sorry, but our corner of the Galaxy is unfamiliar with legends from Terra." Mina ran a hand through her hair, smoothing her uniform. "We appriciate your help, Empress, but I think UCON are worried about the Taiyou becoming another Belka. It doesn't help that you picked the Aschen for allies."

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov offered an arm to the ailing Tarsan, Mina matched the prime-minister's pace, flicking a glance over his shoulder, to check that Giraud was on his best behavior. "We can deal with the Aschen when we are done with Belka. I think it would be prudant now to discuss our strategy. We don't have time to waste on pleasentries." The Lady Admiral kept her tone forthright and business-like, trying to stear the conversation back to the present, rather than making decisions about the Aschen which could be made at a later date.

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov had to admit, the Empress could raise an inspiring turn of phrase. "I'm with you m'lady." A wan smile flickered across the Admiral's face. "The Confederacy will fight to the last. We will not take one step back. No retreat. No surrender." Mina took the Empress's hand, gripping it firmly. "Giraud. Get your skinny ass over here. I could use the benefit of your tactical mind."

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov turned to Giraud as he approached. "Be a dear and hack Aschen fleetcom for me. Find out what its doing." Giraud threw a curt salute and headed back to the picket, pulling a datapad from his pocket. Turning, Mina directed a couple of the troopers to follow Giraud, one again, to keep an eye on him. The other troopers were grouped around the officials, standing at parade rest.

"Back to business. Rohnfeld, the Confederacy could use detailed charts of the Razorbacks, as I feel this is where we could be most useful. Our fleet is pretty small, but we have significant ground elements. I would offer that we move to hold the line, while the Taiyou strike from the flanks."

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov shrugged, a blank expression flickering across her face. "We could just ask them what they are doing. If its something for the good of Home, then surely they'd hand over the information." It may have been a naive suggestion, but Mina put much faith in the direct approach. Whereas her predecesor would have bumbled around with diplomatic procedure, Mina was more of a blunt instrument. A very effective blunt instrument.

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov shivered, running a hand through her hair.
Let there be Belkans can use whatever was in the Milky way to get
. The Admiral translated sketchily, running the clip through a translator programme on a data-slate. "Sounds like the Aschen are hanging us out to dry. Maybe the Array will protect them from Belka, so they'll cower behind it, and let us burn. I'm not standing for that."

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov shuffled closer to the group, bringing the ailing man with her. "Hang on just a second. Can someone give me some context here? What are the pallisades, who are the Anquitas?." An irate tone was seeping into the Admiral's voice. She didn't like feeling cut off from information. She really disliked the feeling of helplessness she was drawing from the archaic babble of the Taiyou and UCON.

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov raised a hand, in an attempt to break Japori's flow. "If this is right, it seems the Aschen are looking for an Antiqitas Starship of all things." She dropped her eyes, refocussing on the data-slate, motioning for Japori to continue.

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov looked doubtful, her eyes locked into the empty space above the Empress's head. "And whats to say that when they have this power, that they won't turn on all of us and crush us like bugs. If the Anquietas are as powerful as you say, surely one of their escorts would be worth one of our capital ships. You all know Chairman Kain. Is she likely to give that up when we are done with Belka?"

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov flicked her eyes back to the Empress, the fire of battle kindling in her soul. "I would suggest intercepting the Aschen, and bringing this before the alliance. If we are to use this powerful technology, it should be a joint venture with the alliance, that will be used for the good of everyone, not just the capricious whims of the Aschen."

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov stepped back, a hand dropping to the chromed handgun at her hip. "Fuck that." She exclaimed, waving up the troopers, who had produced their power-blades, crackling shields of energy igniting on their forearms. "Can someone explain what the fuck is happening here?!" Mina bellowed, her irate temper getting the better of her.

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov spun on her heel, motioning the troopers into the picket. "I'm sorry Prime Minister, Empress, but until this shit is properly explained, and any decisions made are vetted by a rational council rather than from religious hoodoo, the Confederacy will not be mobilizing for the Razorbacks. I will not see my men die because you are blinkered by short-sighted dogmatism."

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov turned to face the Empress, a hand dropping to the butt of her pistol. "I assure you Empress, as long as the Aschen are in sole command of one of the most powerful ships in the Galaxy, I will make sure that you are cut off from all data pertaining to the Confederacy. I refuse to accept the Aschen, and by definition, yourself as Allies. No sole faction should be in command of this much power." The Admiral paused for breath, her face growing redder. "You are blinded by religious dogma. Whatever the ancients did for you, they are gone now. Your destiny is in your hands not theirs. If you follow some plan written thousands of years ago, you will fall."

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov slid the pistol from its holster, the powered armoured troopers returning from the interior of the picket, carrying assault-weapons that hummed ominously. "You get one chance to retract that blatant slur Empress, or the Confederacy presence here is gone." Mina snapped her fingers. "Click. We can fend for ourselves against Belka. I will not endanger my men, throw them into a meat grinder while your forces wait for a messiah to come over the hill."

Lady Admiral Mina Yschenkov did not utter a parting shot, but dissapeared with her troopers into the picket, a black expression clinging to her face. The engines flared and the picket left the hanger-bay at high speed, with a resounding crash as it passed out into the blackness of space. Inside the ship, Mina was calling her senior captains together, to discuss the future of this alliance.

A breif star of blue light flashed into existance on the edge of the system, admitting a tiny ship into being. At the size of a large school bus, the NAVSPEC shuttle was tiny compared to the massive pyramid. It darted towards the capital ship, lika mosquito, the plasma venting from its engines barely visible, its knife-blade hull blending in seamlessly with the blackness of space.

The ship had been deposited by a passing Confederacy destroyer, the stealth-ship's presence completely off the record. Aboard, the Lady-Admiral Mina Yschenkov sighed, looking around at the party accompanying her. On her left, secured tightly into the crash-restraints, smoking a cigarette, despite all saftey regulation was Giraud, her personal spook. Behind him, eyes covered by reflective sun-glasses was Opal, the director of Black-bag operations for NAVSPEC. This trip had been here idea, masterminded by her counterpart in UCON. Crouched at the back of the tiny craft were three marines, dressed in black armour, carrying compact Armex 450 assault rifles.
