Broad of feature with a quaint, squat nose that sits in the midst of an ovular and exotic face which reveals little of the thoughts working beneath. Long, full lips that fall easily into a frown beneath strong cheekbones struggle to allay the the unfriendly stillness of her body. Laerys is lithe; a willowy figure strung all of tough, flexible sinew; strong as a sapling branch. The shade of her skin is dark, the rich colour of waterlogged mud. She wears her oil black hair in a single-tailed braid which she drapes across her left shoulder so that its tip brushes her small breast. Its length is fastened by six strips of cloth dyed the green of an elderwoods leaves, fresh and dark. Almond-shaped, her eyes sit below thin eye-brows and share two hues. One is moss-coloured, with a hint of the untameable wilderness glimmering within it. The other is the colour of dried bark, a cool and calculating brown.

Every action is done with a deliberate grace that few ever achieve, not unlike water rushing nimbly over a crag and quarry. Her hips carry a noticeable sway, alluring and hypnotic and yet not dissimilar from the twist of a felids hips as it stalks the night; dangerous. Her gait is strong, confident, fierce. She speaks with a clear, high voice that seems strange coming from such a foreign mouth. It is rich and warm, like honey left to wax in the sunlight of a warm summers evening, yet cooling as an autumn breath of wind.

Laerys wears rough-spun clothing. Reliable woolen tunics and trousers in dull shades are her staple undergarment, suitable for any season. Her only armour is in the form of raw-hide vambraces of toughened hide and leather, matching greaves, and a boiled leather jerkin worn on her torso. Over this she wears a thick cloak of mottled greys, perfect for breaking up the shadowed form of a human body.

Weapons and Equipment:

Recurve bow (and arrows) hand-carved personally by Laerys from a dark hard-wood located in some unknown region, the bow measures at 30" and is a light-weight variation of the long bow. The entire bow is varnished, and ornately carved with various pictorial decorations. Each end of the bow has a darkened metal tip, which can be used as a spear-like weapon. The grip is made from sanded leather, allowing for both grip and comfort. Despite its brittle appearance and short stature, the bow packs enough punch that it can puncture ringmail and a hundred feet with relative ease.

A short-sword with a slightly curving blade, and cloth wrapped handle including hand-guard and drip points. The blade itself is ornately carved with various tribal depictions, and has an ornate wooden pommel which is stained dark red with blood and sweat. The entire length of the sword reaches 19" in length.

A set of ornate knives carried in a worn leather pouch with faded edges and many stains. There is a thick, single-edged blade used for shearing flesh from a hide. A slimmer blade with a slightly hooked end, perfect for gutting a fish or small animal. A third knife, the largest of them all, crafted for hunting and made for a short, sharp single-stab kill. The fourth blade is the slimmest and the sharpest, its purpose being to fletch arrows and carve wood.

A small hatchet hangs of a loop-rope of leather from her hip, swaying gently with her steps. It's handle is made from sanded, dark wood, stained from long use. The head of the hatchet is thin but with a long, sharp edge. Whilst it would struggle to fell a tree proper, it is perfect for cutting away branches (or limbs).

As standard, Laerys carries a full water-skin, a set of six coyote bones, a three meter coil of sinew, fresh strings, buffing towels, whetstones, and small food rations.

Magic:

Magic of the wilds. A connection to animals and forestry, a knack for stealth and a strong sense of survival. Whispers speak that she can always find fresh, drinkable water. Or that she can whisper to the animals whom scout for her. Or that the forest bends to hide her from his enemies. That rain falls at her call. That her arrows make no sound, and such other things. (In essence, animalism, tempest magic and nature magics often associated with druids. Not, however, the cliche elemental manipulation.)
