Name: Layla Monroe

Age: Twenty-five

Sex: Female

Race: Human

Height: 5'7"

Weight: 136lbs.

Physical: Layla is a rather small young woman, but is tough nonetheless. Usually dressed in revealing leather armor she dubs her "ninja gear" and tying her blond hair up into buns, Layla is a strange image to behold. Her thin frame makes her agile, although she is easy to topple if pushed hard enough. She also occasionally is seen smoking from a pipe. She feels hunger quite often, and can be found eating something quite regularly.

Personality

Layla has a rather bubbly personality; uncharacteristic of a gangster. She also seems rather ditzy, but rest assured, she is quite crafty when she wants to be. She is also very blunt with her words, so much so that she often stumbles into the nature of offensive language, often giving backhanded compliments or outright insults. She can be forgetful if the subject at hand is of no interest to her or isn't immediately important to her job. On top of that, she is prone to accidents. Despite this, she has proven herself a capable second-in-command to Davarus, and oftentimes proves an invaluable asset to his team.

Skills & Equipment

Layla is adept with all manner of bladed weapons, and prefers daggers as her weapons of choice. She is also a more than capable fighter, having studied the ways of Jiu-Jitsu and Nin-Jitsu. Her stealth capabilities, alongside her small frame, make her an effective scout and allows her to sneak in and out of important areas undetected. She is also a master seductress.

History

Layla was found by Davarus working in a diner the mob boss had decided to eat at one day. Layla had noticed a customer watching the minotaur intently, and spotted him as he rose to assassinate the mobster with a gun he was pulling from his jacket. IN that instant, Layla had retrieved and thrown a fork into the would-be killer's neck, putting him out of commission in a slow and messy fashion. Davarus had offered her a job with his mafia, and the rest is history.

So begins...

They sat in the spacious office building owned by the Petros family, Davarus sitting on a cushioned steel throne behind a large holly desk. To his right stood Layla, his second-in-command and personal bodyguard. Across from him sat the twi'lek smuggler, Arrora Sintress. Davarus had hired her to acquire some guns off-planet and deliver them to him, and they were discussing the details of the smuggler's expenses.

"....so with fuel costs, travel distance, work-related danger levels, and the size of the order, we're looking at about 500k," Arrora said plainly. She sat back in her chair, looking between the two. Davarus, not in a particularly good mood, was taken aback. "five-hundred thousand?!" he fumed, "We agreed upon two hundred, no more and no less!" The twi'lek sighed and stood. "Of course we did, but that was before all the trouble I ran into along the way. The Aschen aren't too kind to people smugging weapons for people other than them; especially if said smuggler happens to not be human. I can't tell you how many close calls I had with Aschen patrols looking to snuff me out. Actually, I can: ten, exactly."

Davarus leaned forward, looking the woman in the eyes, his own burning with an anger only a minotaur could feel. As much as he would just love to break the twi'lek and dump her dead body in some crackhead gutter district, he needed her services; Arrora was a very dependable source for his supplies, after all.

"Fine. You'll get your goddamned 500. But next time, you'd best make sure the agreed upon price is the one I pay."

Arrora smiled, happy that she got her way with Davarus, as she always did. She couldn't count on both hands and feet how many times he'd said "this is the last time". Not to say Davarus was forgetful or imbecilic in any sense, but Arrora knew she had the infuriated crime boss wrapped around her finger. "Of course, Davarus," she said with a wily smirk.

Sandra Viper walked the streets of the undermarket until she came upon the office building and checked the address with the one written on her hand. Walking up to a buzzer she hit the button It had been a few months since her most recent arrival in wing city and in that time she had managed to kick most of her drinking habits.

This group had peaked her interest and hearing through the grapevine of the criminal world she decided to check them out. Though, she was not arriving unannounced, she had fed down the line that she would stop by to meet with the tops. Most would have snuffed her but Sandra wasn't your average under-educated criminal or well she wasn't when she was sober. Her plans to get off Terra had failed so now this seemed to be her next choice.

"I'm Viper I told your people I might be stopping by." she said into the buzzer.

There was a ring of the buzzer, and Davarus' gaze snapped to the screen at his left. "I'm Viper. I told your people I might be stopping by." Davarus looked at this woman through the camera. She didn't look very impressive from here. However, Davarus buzzed her in anyway; he wasn't about to say no to expanding his influence. "Layla, see her in," the minotaur commanded. Layla, the petite bodyguard, gave a mock salute and marched off to the elevator, taking it down to the ground floor. If Davarus didn't depend on and care about Layla so much, he'd have killed and eaten her by now.

Layla reached the ground floor, clad in her rather revealing leather armor. She saw Viper in the lobby, standing there waiting. "Well hello there!" she said giddily. "The boss is upstairs and totally ready to see you now!" Grabbing the newcomer by the hand, Layla led Viper to the elevator, climbing in and pressing the button to the top floor. "You're gonna love it here," Layla said.

Sandra felt as if she was socially and visually bombarded as the scantly clad woman walked up to her and dragged her into an elevator. As she was dragged to the elevator she couldn't help but give her a one over before looking up to the woman and offering a smile. She wasn't really used to this friendliness.

Sandra reached down to her belt and unholstered her plasma pistol and handed it to the woman. "I'm assuming your going to want this." She said.

Instantly, Layla took the weapon away. "You've done this before. I can tell." She smiled, and as the elevator doors opened up, she exited the steel box, practically skipping away from Viper and back to her position behind Davarus.

The minotaur looked toward the woman. "Come," he said in a demanding tone, waving Arrora out of her chair. "Sit," he told Viper. As the woman took her place in from of the large beast, he in turn scoped her out. He wasn't impressed by her physicality, and he'd never heard of her before. He had found his appointment sheet and saw her name on it; Layla having failed to keep track of this for him.

He exhaled a very bull-like breath through the nostrils, blowing the papers on his desk about the place. "So, what can you bring to the table, woman? I'll not have you waste my time." He was a very blunt individual, but he had to be. He didn't have the luxury of excess time on his hands. This was business, and if she wanted in she needed to be useful.

Sandra looked over the Minotaur before speaking to his question. "What can I bring? Clients." She said simply, "But more than that I can bring experience I know this criminal world I've grown up here. I'm a highly trained mercenary and I also have some computer and hacking skills along with a specialty in sniping." She said with a smile.

"This city seems to be gearing up for gang wars and I'm not a big fan of the other groups I'm a bit of an outcast I prefer to work low key and for now that's what your group seems to be. " Sandra said to the Minotaur all the while making complete eye contact with the beast.

The room was quiet for a moment; even Arrora's smile had faded from her face, the tenseness in the air culminating. Davarus looked Sandra over after she spoke, and eventually broke a smile. "You have spirit. I like that. Alright, I'll put you on a retainer. You bring me the head of one of Liam Casey's men, and you're hired."

Arrora pushed herself from the wall she had been leaning against. "Well, this was fun ladies and gentlemen, but I have somewhere to be. Davarus..." she trailed off. The minotaur held up his massive hand, bringing out an electronic transferal device and handing it to Layla. "Five-hundred thousand, already sent to you," Layla said, looking up at the smuggler.

Arrora checked her own finances, confirming that she had been paid the full amount. When she was satisfied, she waved, walking towards the elevator and taking it to the ground floor, eventually exiting the building.

The minotaur stood from his desk, putting on his overlarge coat and hat, striding over to the elevator himself. "Layla, I'm going home. Make sure the new blood settles in properly. She's got big work ahead of her." With that, the boss left, leaving the two women alone.

Layla looked to Sandra. "Well, allow me to run you through how it works around here...."

Viper watched as the Minotaur left the office and pondered over what he had just said. Sandra was a bit taken a back by the brash requirement she could do it but she was surprised by the order. " Well there goes my Idea of joining a low key group..." Sandra said aloud.

"Your boss want's war with the Casey's? He does know the WCPD and NPA Are all over them right I mean it's all anyone's been talking about down here it just seems like a good way for us to be taken down in on gang charges..." Sandra said she knew she was probably speaking out of term but as an already wanted woman she wasn't too keen on attracting police attention. But after all this was her only choice. She knew if she passed this up they would probably just kill her.

Layla regarded the troubled woman for a moment. "Davarus knows all about what's going on. That's why your assignment is to just kill one of 'em. Liam doesn't need to know who did it. Understand?" Layla wasn't often grave in tone, but as she spoke of Viper's assignment, she harbored a grim air about her. "Besides, with all the work being put into investigating the Casey's, Liam would be hard-pressed to go after whoever killed one of his guys."

They stood there for a moment in silence, Layla allowing her words to sink in. Then, the silence was broken by the horrendous rumbling of Layla's stomach. "Oh man. I've been so busy I forgot how hungry I was! C'mon, I know a place that makes a soufflé that's just to die for," she said with a wink.

Sandra listened to her nodded and followed Layla out of the building. She wasn't sure she was up for this but after all it wasn't like she had to hit a head guy hell she could always just hit one of those dealers from a far and no one would probably even look the other way at her.
