Leanne (Leavanny)

No child left behind!

0 · 269 views · located in Floaroma Town

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by LawOfTheLand

Description

Image

Personality

Leanne has a particular feeling about children: Regardless of their situation, they must be helped along in order to reach their full potential. She's considered forming a bond with a Trainer, but hasn't found the right one yet.

Equipment

More a mothering sort than a fighter, she can still fight, but her bug/grass typing leaves much to be desired in the ways of offense and defense. She's got a nasty stinger and sharp scythe-like forearms she can rely on, however.

So begins...

Leanne (Leavanny) tottered about, looking for a lost Sewaddle child. she chided in Poke Speak, stooping low to sweep it up.

A small female still recovering from wounds she suffered at the hands of a rather pissy eelektross stopped to observe the leavanny with what appeared to be mild interest. She still walked and stood in a slightly awkward manner that hinted at her wounds, but she was at least on her feet. She was currently standing not all that far away, staring with those magical eyes of her. None of her pokemon were actually with her at that second.

Leanne (Leavanny) observed the wounded Human, and slipped into their tongue. "Oh! You're hurt! Here, have Mommy make it better." With the Sewaddle in one arm, still protesting having been picked up in the first place with plaintive cries, the other wrapped around Valorie's waist. "Come, let's get you fixed up."

Valorie Ryder seemed slightly shocked to discover the pokemon... talked! Someone get a scientist up in this town, the pokemon here /all talk/! Wait, what had the pokemon called her? Had she referred to her as 'Mommy'? No... that wasn't right. It was the wrong context. Had... she referred to her/self/ that way? A single hand slipped upwards to Valorie's lips as she meekly considered the leavanny's words even as one arm wrapped around her waist. With just a bit of prodding she could be led along. "P-Pardon..?" she asked, ever so slightly confused.

Leanne (Leavanny) prodded Valorie in the small of her back. "Lea, Leavan!" Apparently, the averse reaction to this Pokemon talking got her to switch back. More prodding. Was this Pokemon trying to lead her back to her place?

The Sewaddle stopped crying, and she touched up its woven clothes with another spit of silk as it went to sleep.

Valorie Ryder didn't much understand why she no longer understood the leavanny. Now that just made her thing she was going crazy and hearing things. Regardless, she decidedly moved to allow the other to lead her. A part of her wanted to find out—Everything happened for a reason, or at least that was her theory. She wanted to believe this meant something, and looked up at the leavanny with an expression that suggested she had questions.

Leanne (Leavanny) flustered a bit. "Oh, how terribly rude of me. I haven't even introduced myself. I'm Leanne, and when we get home you can meet my wonderful husband Lenny. It just won't do for someone like you to be out and about. Not at all. But don't be too loud, we mustn't wake the baby."

Overbearing, protective mother? Check.

Valorie Ryder nodded in response to Leanne, toning down her voice in return. "I'm Valorie..." she responded in a somewhat slow, curious tone. Husband? Someone like her? ......Baby? Well okay, that last one was seemingly rather obvious. "Have we met..?" she couldn't help but ask, not fully understanding why Leanne was so... so... caring.

Leanne (Leavanny) shook her head. "Nah. Not really. I just saw you limping around, and I'm like, goodness me, a child like you can't be out by herself in such a dangerous place! Who knows if one of those nasty Chain gangs come to get you? You're much safer with me...and we're here!" True to Leanne's word, there was another Leavanny there, a male one...though it was kind of hard to tell. Their antennae quivered a bit. "Room for one more tonight. I found a wounded Human."

Lenny grumbled and started making the room, dirt flying everywhere. "Hee hee. It's so nice to have a handyman around the house," Leanne added.

Valorie Ryder winced as dirt took to the air. Her sensitive eyes didn't entirely appreciate the dirt, but she did not comment. So she was a child to this leavanny? Leanna? Lenny? ...Sometimes she appreciated being considered an adult. It served like a bandage to her wounded ego. On the other hand, she really couldn't blame the pokemon for coming to such a conclusion. "I'm mostly healed. Just—...Well." she started to explain, floundering for words a bit. It occurred to her that the pokemon probably didn't sleep on anything resembling the advanced, comfortable beds of a human home. "I got bitten, is all..." she continued, slightly meek.

"Dear me, all the children seem to be falling ill...and it's not the right time of year for the pollen allergies in the humans, either. What shall I do?" A very worried Leavanny was tending to her children in the Sunrise Division, which, to be fair, was a very inclusive category. Even some of the local Diglett were getting swaddled in blankets of leaves.

"Sore throats. Dear me, dear me indeed. Seems like some sort of poison gas judging from the spread and what that nice Beedrill told me. Nothing the Pidgey around here can't blow out to sea where the Tentacool can deal with it, but I fear the humans are on their own for this one."

Bits of stringy, torn up flesh was littered beneath the trees, chunks of Reho's decaying and shoddily put together body hung upon trees it had leaned upon - being torn away when Reho had moved away from the tree. A crimson trickle ran down the various gaps of its rusted body, adding a horrible smell on top of everything. It could feel something within its machinery was dying. One of the internal veins by its heart was failing, pumping blood at an extremely fast rate and putting strain on its entire body. Growling in anger and frustration, Reho lashed out against the bramble, swatting at it with the back of its hand only to result in...nothing. The bramble just swayed back and forth.

"Code ultraviolet. Body malfunctioning. Enact plan before death.

Reho tore into its vestments, pulling a single D-80 "Davaab" Pistol and a single activation switch to hold in its other hand, gripped tightly with the finger hovering over the activation button. It knew that it'd attract attention eventually...it needed to gather others to infect before things were too late. Raising the Davaab into the air Reho fired once, a loud KRAKK from the kinetic bolt rung out into the air for miles.

"Let them come come come come come come come."

"Le-le-le!!" Leanne cried out in shock and fright from the loud sound. She had to protect her babies! Luckily for the city, that was a rather inclusive category. Instead of getting the Weedle and Caterpie in trouble over their head, Momma would handle it!

A quick String Shot from her mouth at Reho would hopefully immobilize the naughty child and prevent her from doing anything rash. Even as this happened, the shouts of rough men from the docks could be heard, soon drowned out by the sound of raid sirens. Lieutenant Surge had insisted on the warning system in case of disaster, whether brought by man, nature, or some combination of both. All capable Trainers were to report to the Gym where they would be assigned to a squad and receive a briefing of the situation as well as their assigned task.

"If this were a video game, I'd be asking you for 2 coins to continue by now! Hup-hup-hup!"

The humans were coming, judging from the colorful phrases one squad leader was hurling. Leanne needed to make sure that her work was done, and fast. But what could she do aside from swaddle Reho in a blanket of leaves and spit? Oh well. Maybe that would be enough. The poor thing looked like it was suffering anyway.
