Leona Rose's Story

Leona Rose ran up the shaft of the telescope as it lied in ruins inside. It was jetting out just enough to make a rather nice perch. Leon's long, thick black hair that was tied back in a low ponytail behind her shoulders whipped around in the wind. Of course, her dark navy eyes scanned everything from inside of the ruined tower to the over growing vines and trees below. Right now, the sun was setting, leaving everything in a dull burnt orange glow.

Her heart shaped face remained darkened by the bangs that covered the right side of her face. Those too whipped around in the wind, but not nearly as much as the rest of her hair. Serene, empty, at least a place she could hear herself think. That was pretty rare to find around here where people wouldn't stop yacking their mouths clean off and the various times people had to show off their powers. Power hungry beasts, always wanting to prove they were the best.

In Leon's opinion, they would be the best by proving they had the guts to keep quiet about their triumphs. When they would not brag but decide a conversation and a friend here and there was something better, using kindness and genuine human nature to sway someone, not fear. She sighed and scratched at the vertical scar that ran over her brow and cheek on the right side, she still had her sight but it was a reminder of a close call. She took in a slow breath of fresh air, and let it out just as slowly.

Peace.

The setting changes from the-observatory to Gambit's Bar

Leona Rose appeared inside the bar with a swift breeze from her rapid motion. Her long, knee length black hair swirled around her like a serpent's tail. Her body was covered in a short miniskirt style kimono with a long haori over it with shredded shoulders. She tapped her heeled boot on the ground for a brief second before blues as brilliant as sapphires but darker than the night sky scanned the visages of every patron that decided to disgrace the bar with their presence.

Leo was sickened by the fact she was already confronted by the stench of battling auras. The female shook her head with an unapproving sigh before she stepped her way over to the bar with surprisingly silent footsteps. She ordered herself a Rum and Pepsi mixed drink before she looked for anyone who seemed to be in their right mind. She did spot a mage looking male of sorts reading scrolls and tomes, but looked so focused she almost didn't want to bother him. Other than that, she had the sudden desire to smash the crap out of these two idiots who were trying to trash the bar.

Saiyans! The ridiculous monkey beings from Planet Vegeta. Planet Vegetable people. Her blue eyes narrowed as she gave a critical look at the others. Disgustingly grotesque. Though she liked men with brawn, but there was a point when there was too much of a good thing. Brains was more preferable since she usually hated out smarting everyone in the room. The rather gorgeous female, who usually went by Leo or Leon, gave yet another disapproving sigh before she took a long drink off of her rum and Pepsi.

Leona Rose wiggled her lips, pursing them together as she moved over towards the Mage looking guy. "You seem awfully calm for someone among the chaos of this infernal place," she said. The female crossed her arms with her drink still in hand. She leaned up against the side of the bench to the booth he was sitting in.

Leona Rose chuckled. "That's kind of funny considering how there's usually a full out death brawl in the middle of the room," she said, jabbing her thumb towards the two Saiyans or whatever the hell they were. She couldn't ever tell anymore. There were so many creatures and races and aliens that came through this bar it was nearly impossible to keep track of what the hell was going on some days.

Leona Rose appeared inside the bar, leaning against one of the far walls that was poorly lit. Her long black hair danced slightly as she breathed. All the while, eyes as dark blue as midnight stared out into the bar, looking upon the patrons. She didn't know why she bothered to come here other than to get a stiff drink or two. But even then, the drinks kind of sucked. As high class as it appeared, the patrons were sometimes... most of the time... anything but. The dark haired woman brushed out her haori and scratched at her cheek with on of her moderately crossed limbs.

"This place gets a little ridiculous sometimes," she muttered, eying a Robot. She shook her head once more. Leo snorted before she began to step over to the bar, her boots barely making a sound as it was her nature to walk softly. She did not stomp. She had her moments of being rude, but she made no habit of it. Especially since the shower of death could reign down upon everyone at any given moment seeing how destruction usually came to be paired with so called 'Power'. Her opinion, the bigger and less refined those kinds of things were, the more worthless they were.

Leo grumbled and rubbed her temples, enough of that thinking. Thinking of the trivial often gave her a headache. She looked around for the closest thing to a Bartender this place had to offer before she scanned the menu. "Whatever wheat beer you have on tap," she spoke to the bartender, whether there was someone there or if it was a machine or that anthro thing named Marty. Anthros gave her the creeps. Leo coughed into her hand as she gave a final glance around Gambit's while she waited for her drink.

Leona Rose snorted as she received her drink. "Next thing I know, someone is going to be shouting that they're going to flatten the building with a gundam or something," she said, shaking her head. She turned to the back bar and closed her eyes half way, raising her glass to no one in particular, she was Rather alone right now. "Here's to living another day in probably the universe's largest practical joke," she said with a chuckle. She pulled her beer to her lips and gave a good sip off the bitter, light coloured and bubbly liquid. She could just feel that resonating filth of drama that just filled the place to the brim.

Alas, Leo really had no say about that. She'd been many apart of dramatic scenarios, but none of it for the sole purpose of getting attention. Though she'd like someone to talk to, she wasn't about to go and commit mass murder to get the whole world's attention. Those kind of beings... people... were the worst kind to her. But, yet again, she just didn't care. She did think about what she was going to do after her beer though. She decided she was going to chase it with a glass of bourbon or scotch.

Leona Rose slipped up behind Alex after she appeared in the bar. She snuck up good enough she was able to run a hand down his back to surprise him. She chuckled slightly, then taking a seat next to him and tossing her very long strands of hair over her shoulder so she wouldn't sit on them when she sat down. "Change in drink? You're always ordering wine in here," she said with a slight smirk.

Leona Rose
shrugged. "Nothing in particular, the drive for good company?" she replied, brushing back strands of her very long black hair. "What about you? Don't you have a woman yet?" she asked, scratching her cheek.

Leona Rose arched one of her brows before arching the other and looking around. "Anyone around here would love to," she stated with a definitive nod. "Doesn't matter what you are, especially around here," she continued huffing slightly. "You don't need to be so negative.. I mean, try?" she gave a slight face, reaching over and putting a hand under his chin.

Leona Rose looked at him hard. "Ah, I see, you have someone in mind, hm?" she asked, a chuckle resonating from her throat. She was always good about being able to read people, even the most notoriously unreadable people.

Leona Rose leaned forward onto the bar, tucking her hand under her chin. "Okay, just what did you find in this woman, hm?" she asked, trying to get more out of him. Maybe she'd have a reason to track this woman down to give him a chance. Everyone deserved a chance.

Leona Rose chuckled slightly. "I've been as fine as someone as myself could possibly be, short of the bad habits," she said with a shrug.

Leona Rose chuckled again, "I just don't find the reason to involve such a good looking man in such a dirty life." She brushed her fingers through her long black hair again, her eyes then moving towards the back of the bar. She ordered herself a bit of malt scotch and some food. Nothing in particular, just something that was decent eating.

Leona Rose tilted her head slightly. "Why not stay here tonight then? I've an extra bed in my room," she added with a tease of a smirk.

Leona Rose laughed. "I won't be a up there all night, so you don't have to worry about a thing," she said. She picked up the key from pocket in her haori and handed it over. In truth, she had a room but she rarely used it. She was someone who could put an insomniac to shame.

Leona Rose laughed. "Take the key, I have no need for it right now," she stated. Her thin arms crossed for a moment, then uncrossing as she reached for her malt scotch. "Besides boy, I like to be chased, not the one doing the chasing," she said as she gave him a quick wink from her nearly black blue eyes.

Leona Rose smirked. "Uh huh, I don't doubt it," she said. She then spotted the drop that was slipping down his jawline. She leaned over and used her lips, almost like a kiss, to get the drop, and simultaneously tease him. She had a sultry look to her face, her chuckle dying down to just a confident smirk.

Leona Rose chuckled again, then tossing her long black hair over her shoulder back behind her and moved around to get up. He probably needed some time to think, so she'd let him have time to think. If he stopped her from moving away, he was a lot less confused than she thought he was.

Leona Rose sat precariously on The railing to the second floor fire escape, watching Alex facepalm himself repeatedly. "There isn't much of a reason for you do be doing that," she said with a tilt of her head, her hair bouncing around behind her. It was a wonder how she got where she was, wasn't really magic, but it wasn't really physics either. She coughed into her hand softly and her intoxicating blue eyes looked down at the golden eyed lycan.

Leona Rose blinked at him plainly. "I know what you are," she stated, "Wasn't very hard to figure out really." She didn't make it sound like it was a big deal, which to her, it wasn't. None of that kind of thing had ever meant a thing to this strange young woman. She dropped down from the fire escape and landed silently. Her haori made little noise as well.

Leona Rose sighed and walked over to him, once again placing her hand under his chin, lightly stroking it with the back of her hand. "I was always told while I got older that being a beast was optional... everyone has the potential to be a monster," her words, though a little profound, were honest and her tone was soft though her voice itself was not.
