Lillea hurried into the bar, pulling the hat low over her eyes as her military issued boots clomped noisily against the floorboards. She glanced at the large gathering of military officers and quickly made her way to an empty table on the opposite side, hoping that they wouldn't see her. She'd come to far to get caught now.

Lillea flinched at the sound of a commanding officer. She almost felt the need to jump to attention when he spoke, but she knew that she would be in more than just 'trouble' if she revealed herself to a military man now.

Lillea shifted uncomfortably in her seat, if she'd realized that there would be so many here, she would've avoided this place. Her eyes shifted to The Seventh, pity in her gaze. She knew what the girl was going through, it was an experience not unlike her own. With a sigh she attempted to turn away, her hazel eyes fixing themselves on the table, but she could still hear the fear in the girl's voice.

Lillea 's lip curled in disgust, she knew that Zi Yong Rui meant what he said, but the phrase still made her laugh. A bullet would be a welcome alternative to whatever horrors you would experience at the hands of sadistic military officers.

Lillea shuddered, there had been much pain in that gaze. She wanted to go to her and put a comforting arm around her shoulder, as well as a well-placed fist in Zi's pompous face. A hand clenched under the table as she strained to stay in her seat.

Lillea Her full lips curled again, this time, the disgust plain on her face. Her voice was deep for a female and somewhat musical, a slight British accent, "Yeah, I've got a problem. Just because she's you're subordinate doesn't give you the right to threaten her with that pathetic rifle of yours." Her hazel eyes flashed under the brim of her military cap.

Lillea laughed darkly, barely disguising her anger, "A toaster eh? I don't understand how she became an inanimate object, even if she is a machine. Even when I was in the service they didn't call us toasters...I must admit you're rather creative." She winced at the little slip, but she doubted he'd notice, or even know who she was.

Lillea chuckled, "No, I'm not a machine, but I can tell that she's one," she nodded to The Seventh, "But not a toaster as you claim. However, I WAS in the service at one time, and I know that it isn't within your right to beat her in such a manner." she leaned back in her seat, baffled that she was flaunting her own secret to an officer, and a Chinese one at that! She wasn't too hopeful about the outcome of this conversation.

Lillea 's eyes narrowed, "I'm well aware of your 'proud' Chinese way of militaristic command, as I've had plenty of experience with it. And being a female captured soldier, I got the...butt of the rifle." A wry smile played at her lips, she meant this literally, although the butt of the rifle was not the worst punishment she had received. "And though she may be your 'property' as an AI, she may as well be human, and therefore deserves human rights." She returned the smile to The Seventh, wondering why she was risking her freedom for this machine.

Lillea gave him a calm smile, "I protect her because I know what it is to suffer at the hands of the Chinese when you are...not human." She tensed, unless the man had a skull filled with air, he would be able to identify her now, but for some reason, it seemed worth it. One hand reached up and gently pushed the barrel out of her face, "For some reason, you don't think that non-humans deserve the same treatment as humans...I never understood this, but it is a fatal flaw in your society." she could feel her anger rising, but she kept an emotionless exterior.

Lillea "Oh really? Why don't you try me?" She stood and pressed herself forward onto the blade, cutting a shallow gash in her neck. "I'm sure I'll lead you on a merry dance you inferior, eastern, woman beater!" Her hazel eyes were alight with angry fire under the brim of her cap, and every inch of her was tensed with fury. She hadn't felt such a rage in a long time.

Lillea "Hah, well then, I'd love to dance with you Zi, I'm sure you've taken lessons." Her face broke into an insolent grin, her fury making her fearless, cold, and calculating. He would see just how a non-human could defend themselves.

Lillea "Well well, bringing in the big guns a little early don't you think? Perhaps the proud Chinaman is afraid?" she mocked, disregarding the blood that flowed freely from her neck and onto the bayonet. "I was under the impression that they trained fear out of officers, perhaps I was wrong?"

Lillea She leaned forward , a smile again on her face, "I'm worth much more alive, but I suppose an ignorant easterner wouldn't know such a thing," Her muscles were tense, ready to dodge if he didn't consider her words.

Lillea didn't move but spoke directly to Seventh, but not out loud, into her mind, ^Seventh, do you want me to free you? I will do so if you wish it, but speak quickly, he won't wait long^ she stared at the other woman, awaiting an answer, tense and ready.

Lillea gave her a sad smile, ^I cannot go against your wishes...very well, I'll leave you in peace. You are brave for a machine^ She turned toward Zi, "She can't defeat him you know, he'll kill her as well as you. Why don't you just let her go?"

Lillea grinned, "I doubt you'll be able to stop my following you, so why don't you just let me tag along?" She edged towards Seventh, wanting to protect her from this sadistic officer.

Lillea chuckled, ^Believe me, I'm in no danger from their guns, at least...not much^ She kept her position in front of Seventh, her vengeful gaze fixed firmly on Zi and his men.

Lillea hesitated, knowing she could escape but not wanting to abandon Seventh. After a few moments, she sank to the ground, arms behind her head and ankles crossed. "Damn my stupidity..." she murmured as she took the all-too-familiar position.

Lillea did not pay attention to their conversation, merely kept her head lowered and cursed herself for her stupidity. Her fire-red hair was revealed, as the cap had fallen off some time ago, and her sapphire eyes were hard and cold. "God I'm a fool," she murmured.

Lillea glared at the man in front of her, recognizing his ugly, pockmarked face from his posters. She gathered up moisture in her mouth and spat on his perfectly polished shoe, watching with satisfaction as the sticky, clear fluid left a smudge upon the glimmering black surface. The girl looked up at Seventh with a smile, "I'm asking the same question myself," she murmured.

Lillea smiled at Seven, it was the first time anyone had defended her. But her attentions soon turned to the soldiers beside her. A feral snarl ripped from her throat and she turned to the first, mouth open to reveal that all of her teeth had lengthened, sharpened, and a strange serpentine tongue flicked between them. There was only a split second to see this strange and instant transformation before her teeth clamped down on the arm nearest her, shredding through skin and seeking out bone.

Lillea fell to the ground, her bound hands making it impossible to catch herself. The fangs shrank until they were human again, and the serpentine tongue disappeared, replaced with a normal, pink, healthy slab of muscle. She licked the human blood from her teeth and spat it upon the ground, a grim smile of satisfaction upon her face, "What do you think of THAT Zi?" she murmured.
