a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Rhasslairiel

Description

Image
Image

Lily's general outfit consists of an off the shoulder shirt that exposes her stomach, which is tanned and muscular, also showing off the belly button ring that she wears with pride, and there's usually a chain hanging from it and going all around her midsection. She wears a skirt, varying in length that hangs off her hips and either will drape to the floor or just over her ankles. She wears a lot of beads and trinkets on her wrists and ankles.
Lily never wears shoes, and has no visible tattoos, although she does have a tattoo on the back of her head of the moon.

Personality

Lily is all kinds of things. Talk to her and find out. :P

Equipment

She carries a few bags with her, but never goes into establishments with them. She usually hides them as close to her as she can, but will never break them out. They're filled with odd baubles and clothing, and her instruments. She doesn't carry any weapons, usually, except a tiny dagger that she keeps on her hip, hidden from sight.

History

Her history is rather simple. She used to travel around in a circus that she and the rest of her traveling gypsy people put on. She was the showgirl, and was also one of the thieves. Since her clan had been attacked and killed, she's been on her own, either stealing or dancing and performing for money. But she'll really do anything to keep alive. She simply travels from town to town throughout the months.

So begins...

Lily Arlangton The door swung open softly as a woman slipped in between the small doorcrack, trying to not let too much of the outside wind come in with her. Shaking the cold shivers off, she straightened her bangs, reaching her hands up to fix the dreadlocks that were piled in a ponytail on her head. Her white, off the shoulder shirt came down and rested halfway down her stomach, leaving some of her tan belly exposed, her bellybutton ring glinted in the light. Her long skirt, light and many shades of maroon, brown, and green, swished around her bare feet and with every step she took, her bangles made a sound.

She took one glance at the fight that seemed to be ensuing in the bar, and raised her eyebrows, before swinging herself up into a barstool. She ordered a rum, and turned her head to curiously watch, trying not too be too obvious.

Lily Arlangton She now had almost her entire head turned toward the fight, and she didn't even notice that she had half turned in her seat, openly staring, her rum in her little hand. She watched as one of the men left. He left the other behind, and now that she could see him, she frowned. His face was a mess, and he looked like he was losing it fast. Lily slipped down from the barstool, landing nimbly onto her bare feet and picked up her drink, which she had not started yet. The bells on her anklet jingled as she slowly approached the man that was left behind.

"You look like you could use a drink," she said, standing right in front of him, "Why don't you let me buy you one?" she felt a little sorry for this man, having listened to the taunting that the other man had done. She knew she was in no place to take sides, but she felt for this guy.

Lily Arlangton The wind was blowing even harder when Lily returned to the bar. She pushed the doors open, and hurried in, quickly adjusting her dreadlocks, tightening the piece of cloth that was holding them up in a ponytail on her head. Her hips swung from side to side as she came in, her long skirt sweeping the floor and dancing around her bare feet. She tugged on the white, off the shoulder shirt that fell to just above her belly-button, leaving her belly button ring exposed, and her tan torso open. Flicking some of her bangs out of her eyes, Lily pulled herself back up on the bar, and ordered herself a new rum.

Lily Arlangton Having received her rum, she turned around in her stool and surveyed the bar. One leg was crossed over the other and her foot bounced up and down, causing the bar to be filled with a soft jingling sound, from the bells on her anklet. She sipped at her drink, and fixed her shirt, and started looking around, shamelessly staring at the commotion, or lack thereof, in the bar.

Lily Arlangton Lily came in the door just behind Seno and the other individuals, almost bumping into him, "'scuse me honey," as she shimmied past and made her way to the bar, hips swinging from side to side. She had been in here a couple times before, and hoisted herself up onto a barstool. She turned around in her seat once she had her drink in her hand, and lifted one eyebrow at the men in armor, before her eyes flicking back to Seno. Hmmm.

Lily Arlangton They gypsy glided into the room as if she had sprout wings. She was in such a good mood today. Lily made her way across the bar, swinging her hips to avoid tables and chairs that she was in danger of hitting. Her movements were soft, and smooth, and with each time her foot hit the ground, her bracelets and beads jingled and hit each other. Her dreadlocks were long, and even though they were all tied in a ponytail, they still came down to her lower back. Lily looked up at the ceiling before swinging herself up to the bar, and ordered a whiskey. When it came, she smiled. "Just leave the bottle, honey," she said, and poured herself a glass.

Lily Arlangton The gypsy pushed open the door, jingling her way in, and making her way to the bar. She shivered a bit and shook out her damp dreadlocks from the late night mist outside. She pulled herself up onto the barstool, and adjusted her clothing. She crossed one foot over her leg and bounced her foot and her anklet jingled with every little bounce.

Lily Arlangton She had been in this bar a few times, but had just come in for a drink, and was gone soon after. Maybe tonight would be different. Lily walked in through the front door, and sat down at the bar. She looked around at the people in the room, and crossed one leg over the other.

Lily Arlangton She started a little bit when she looked over at the person who was addressing her. "Hi there," she smiled at the offer for a drink, "I'd love one, thanks. A rum and coke would be lovely," she winked at him and shifted in the barstool so that she was facing him. She was barefoot. She wore a white, off the shoulder shirt that stopped at her ribs, leaving her tanned stomach exposed, and her bellybutton ring to glint in the light. Her skirt was long, and would brush the floor if she was standing up. She had piercings, and her dreadlocks were piled up on her head and held with a piece of twine.

"So what's your name stranger?" she asked, tapping her wrist on the bar. Her bangles knocked on it, and jingled lightly.

Lily Arlangton "I'm Lily," she said and held out her hand to give him a firm handshake. She reached up to scratch her uncovered shoulder. "Nice to meet you, Sangrei," she said, testing out the name on her tongue. She pushed herself up with strong arms to situate herself on the barstool, before looking at him.

Lily could not help but notice his eyes wander over her. It wasn't something that she wasn't used to. She was a dancer, and her muscles were well defined, her skin a tan from traveling in the sun. Hell, she pretty much made a living by getting men to give her tips. She flashed him a white smile before asking: "Are you from around here?"

Lily Arlangton "Just Lily," she corrected him, "No miss. Sounds too proper," She smiled and picked the drink up, and gulped down about half the glass in one shot. She set it back down, and rubbed the condensation from the glass between her fingers. "Well, I figured you weren't from the bar," she said and laughed, "I'm a gypsy. Don't hide your coins from me or anything," she said hastily, "I don't steal... anymore." she offered a wink and took another sip of her drink. "I used to live in a traveling circus kind of show with my family, but I broke off on my own. I travel around as well." She laughed and flipped one of her dreadlocks over her shoulder, "What a pair of lost traveling souls we are," Lily joked. "But that's interesting. How do you have means to travel? What do you do?" she asked and waited for his answer.

Lily Arlangton "No, no worries," she said. She raised one eyebrow and finished the drink, deciding that she needed something stronger. She tapped on the counter and ordered a straight rum, on the rocks, instead. Lily smiled at him when he mentioned the coins, "Don't go spending all your money on me, now." she said.

"It was fun enough," she acknowledged. "But I wanted to get out. Go do something on my own. I was only a showgirl at the circuses. I was supposed to dance and distract everyone while their things got stolen." She winked at him, "Clever, but it got old real fast." She reached one hand up and rested it on his arm when he threw it around her. "Well, I'm glad we met, off the beaten path," she said and laughed. "I like you."

She stared at him for a moment when his face grimaced. "I'm sorry," she said seriously, "I didn't mean to bring up any bad memories." she picked her drink up and tipped it back, her head against his arm, drinking most of it in a few gulps. Although her face showed no discomfort, her whole body shivered as it went down. She turned her head and looked at the swords at his side. She looked up at him, a curious glint in her eye. "May I see one?" she asked.

Lily Arlangton "I drink a lot, though," she said and winked. "It's entirely possible for you to spend all your money on me." Lily finished the second drink in another few swallows, and put a piece of ice in her mouth, moving it from side to side in her cheeks. She lifted a eyebrow. "Explains a bit?" she asked, jokingly, "What exactly does it explain?" she hoped he could tell from the smile on her face that she wasn't accusing him of anything.

"Oh, no," she said teasingly, "If I were trying to distract you, you'd be distracted." she sounded cocky, and turned to face him as his arm was still around her shoulder. She blushed a little bit at the little shake he gave her, and the comment of liking her.

"I won't steal it," she promised and held up her right hand, "Gypsy's honor," she joked.

Lily Arlangton "I dunno, I still stand by that I can drink a lot." she said, winked, and knocked back another shot, giving him a look. Lily's face turned red in a blush at his compliment and tugged on her clothes a little bit. "Well thanks," she said brightly.

At his question, she grinned and leaned in until her front was pressed against his side. She looked down at the sword before back up at him, leaning close to his face. It seemed like she was going to kiss him, and she held his gaze with her own. "Oh you'd be distracted," she said in her most seductive voice before laughing and reaching over to take the sword from his hand.

Lily Arlangton Lily grinned and leaned over him, the sword in one hand, to tap into the menu a bottle of alcohol. "We'll see about that," she said, and poured herself another shot before taking it right in front of him. She made a point to look him up and down before, "Well, you're not too bad lookin' yourself," she winked.

Giggling a tiny bit, she decided to make a game out of it. When his breath was on her neck, she did visibly shiver just a tiny bit, but in the same motion, she held the sword to the side of his neck, jokingly, teasingly. "How sharp?" she asked, teasing him. She pulled it away from his neck. "Nah, I wouldn't kill you," Lily said and held the sword with both of her hands, still standing rather close to him. "How do you even use this thing anyways?"

Lily Arlangton "You keep believin' you're nothing special, you won't be anything special," she said and took another swig of the rum. She turned her head to meet his eyes seriously.

"Oh did I scare you?" she teased and gave a little grin. She moved out of his way when he stood up, and tried to mimic what he was doing. She pulled her skirt up over her ankles, displaying the jingling anklets over bare feet, and finally got it right. "No reason," she lied smoothly, "Just curious." The truth was she was out to kill someone, and she knew nothing about weapons. So yes, curious could have been the word. Or maybe she just wanted to find a reason to flirt with this male some more. She looked up at him, "Did I get it right?" she asked, holding perfectly still.

Lily Arlangton She smiled when he said he'd be special for her, "You're doing a good job of being special all by yourself, regardless of me," she said seriously and kissed him on the cheek before taking yet another swig of the rum. She couldn't feel it yet, and she hoped she wouldn't feel it for a while. All her big talk about being able to drink so much.

"You bet you're scared," she said, "I'm one scary girl." She adjusted her stance, and held her tongue between her teeth in concentration. She knew he didn't believe her, and she gave him a bit of a dazzling smile. "If you can keep a secret," she said, and stood back up the way she normally did, her weight on one of her feet, mainly, one hand on her bare side. She leaned to his ear, "I'm out to kill someone." she lifted an eyebrow and gave him a bit of a smile, a tiny bit grim, but for the most part the same look she had had all night. "And these?" she asked as she jingled her wrists as she handed them back to him. "Just trinkets," she smiled. "Here," she pulled one of her bracelets off her wrist, a plane, woven string one and reached out, tying it to his wrist. She turned her glance toward Milena, and smiled a little bit before directing her eyes back to Sangrei.

Lily Arlangton "Well then, I guess I'm requesting it," she said and gave a little laugh.

"He's..." she tried to word what the man had done, what he had done to her, to her friends, her family, but she couldn't bring it to words before tears flooded her eyes and she reached over to take another swig of the rum. "He's an ass," she said shortly. She wanted to tell him, I mean, why not. But she didn't want to look like a baby in front of him. "A fortune teller gave it to me," she said, indicating the bracelet and smiled. "She said it'd be good luck." Lily reached over and playfully took the bottle of whiskey from him before hiding it behind her back.

Lily Arlangton "He killed everyone that I traveled with," she spit out shortly, and the gravity of what she said hit her like a ton of bricks. She had been hiding her feelings for years now, though, and she did a good job of it this time. She handed him his sword back as he went to gently take it, apologizing quietly while smiling at him for not giving it back immediately. "It's nothing," she said as she waved off his thanks.

Lily grinned, backing up against the bar, the bottle of whiskey pressed between her back and the wood behind her. "I don't know what you're talking about," she said, smirking.

Luna Arlangton "It's fine, what happened happened," she said and shrugged her shoulders, smiling at him again.

She reached her hand up and made an attempt to snatch that bottle from him as well. She stood up on her bare toes and reached up. "Hey! Gimme that!" she said, laughing. She still held his bottle behind her back, and reached up.
