Trent grumbled and sat down with a huff, crossing his arms. Well, she needed the block thrown at her. He'd throw another when Aunt Redwing wasn't looking. She'd never know! Adalie looked to Linde curiously and frowned. This was a weird lady, to be sure. She couldn't tell if Aunt liked her, or not.

"Thank you. I suppose I just needed to hear that." She admitted. "I'm not certain that this is all it's cracked up to be. Oh, I know I can't back down now. I'd end up a burden to the family if I did. But..." She sighed and shook her head. "It's just odd what people will say!"

"I suppose." She admitted. Her work in BARDAS, while non-essential, was still important enough to make her feel useful. She smiled slightly at this, ruefully. "But how do I tell a God, no?" She demanded, then wrapped her hands around Liese's arm. "Oh Liese, please, if I do, will you be there with me, for support?"

"Oh thank you Liese! You'r the best big sister ever." She said, tension dropping from her shoulders. "I... I think I must go and think on this matter. Thank you for everything, you've just made it all very clear!" She declared and released her sister, hurryign out the door.

Trent threw another block, but it hit the door as it clsoed. He immediately pretended he had been starign out the window the entire time.

Adalie frowned at that loud angry nose and hurried after her aunt, and gave the woman a tight hug. She seemed to need it! The perceptive toddler say the blood and her eyes widened. "Aun, boo boo?" She said, concerned. "Kiss better?" She offered her godmother, meaning it too. Trent came over when she didn't scold and frowned, climbing into her lap. "Lady bad." He told her, pointing to the door. "She very bad."

She blushed at those words and looked down, embarrassed. Could she leave this man, whom loved her, if he did love her. "Josef." she murmured, unable to think of what to say. And the stroking of his thumb was all too distracting for the lady. "I find it difficult to stand firm in the face of your feelings." She admitted. Oh Liese! She was so sorry, but she simply could't fight it. She had tried.

"Very well. I shall try to ignore their whispers. I can always hope nothing comes of it but spite, and spite is merely a part of life." Especially a noble's life.

She smiled at him, at the generous offer and moved to lay her head on his shoulder, only to hear a throat clear. Oh! chaperons. They could be oh so frustrating. Linde sighed as she instead gently squeezed his hand. "You are so generous in your protection of my reputation, Josef." She said and smiled. "Now. I will not ask again to break away from you, not for such a silly reason. I suppose I let it get to me. I forgot, for a moment that is is the Kaiser who courts me, not a mere lord." She admitted.

A silly thing to forget!

"I think I would. Have you any plans for where we might go, Josef, or are were just going to drive about int that car of yours." So noisy! And yet somehow still very pleasant. Linde did enjoy it, though is was embarrassing to admit so. "I'm afraid I planned nothing but this, and I am very glad that you made me see reason."

"Oh! How wonderful, a picnic!" She beamed. "I am sure my servant shall do as a chaperon until Liese arrives, and I just know she won't mind. After all, she spends all day in her office. I suspect her godchildren visited again today, so she may be awhile besides. Their mother is not always on time."

Their mother, unbeknownst to many, led a very busy life for a supposedly retired woman. Not that a noble was ever truly retired of course.

"You are too kind, Josef." She said with a smile. "Too kind indeed." She said and sat there, a moment before rising. I believe I shall switch to a pair of out of doors shoes, my lord. Something more suitable to the grass." Still, she was pleased they would be having such an intimate dinner together.

Linde giggled and hurried off to go and switch to better shoes for walking on soft ground. A picnic! Oh how lovely. She swiftly changed her footwear to a more practical part and made the decision not to change outfits, though some may expect it. It was, after all, merely Josef and herself. He was her suitor!

No need for too much formality, after all. She beamed and followed her chaperon to Josef. "Miss Linde, your sister better arrive soon. You and he are too familiar for my tastes."

"Helen, he is my suitor. Really, it is alright."

"it is not, Miss Linde. But I'm bound to listen to you." she admitted then sighed as they came closer, quieting down to her post of silence once more.

"It's perfect." She assured him, pleased almost entirely with how he could not help but watch her. He was so devoted! She smiled and took the proffered seat, knowing the table and matching chair would soon be brought out. "This is a lovely idea, my-" She paused and remembered her self. "Josef. Very kind of you to plan it so."

A picnic! And such lovely weather for it too. she couldn't believe their luck!

Linde blushed at this, and gave him a smile. She wasn't certain how to respond, but the site of her sister gave her excuse not to think of once. "Oh, it looks like Liese has arrived. How lovely. Helen, could you see a chair is brought of my sister as well?" Though she don't Liese would deign to actually sit. She never could relax.

She stopped, not wanting to be rude, and waved to her sister. "Could you give me a moment, Josef? I must confess to my sister." She admitted and hurried over to admit to what she had done. It wasn't as if Liese wouldn't find out shortly.

"He offered the services of the Verhör if anyone dare to speak ill of me." She pointed out. "How can I deny that, Liese? He's so devoted too, I felt horrible at the cut." she sighed. besides, he had cheated, coming in before Liese had arrived. Linde hadn't thought he'd pull such a trick! The young woman sighed. "I'm afraid I lack your back bone sister, I do." he looked upset. "Can you bare to forgive me?"

Linde wouldn't last a day in the service, much less a tour. She was, as her family had shaped her, a delicate woman in most respects. Her liaison work was about as rough as it got for her. "I know, I ought to have awaited you before even speaking to him."

She hated disappointing her sister so. Redwing was like a mother to Linde, who hated that she was such a failure. The young woman sighed. "Come sit with us? Josef had his servants pack a picnic. It was that, of Helen keeping a close watch on them, and Linde just knew that even Josef would try nothing with Liese so near.

Liese was a terrifying chaperon. "You can tell of your godchildren. Though the little boy seemed rather violent."

All three chairs, and a small table had arrived now, and Linde beamed. "Josef, has Liese told you of the little ones yet. She likes to go on, at times." Linde teased and tried to keep the atmosphere light. "Their mother takes great joy in poking fun at us all by dressing them in small military uniforms."

"The little boy threw a block at me. The little girl stared I don't think I impress them overly so." she admitted. "They seem charming enough, and the boy listened straight away to Liese, so they're clearly well behaved." She smiled and hsook her head. "I never quite get their names right. What are they, Liese?" She checked, not wanting to get it wrong. Contrary, she was trying to keep the subject off of her.

Trent was waiting, patiently. The bad lady had said she was going to return, with someone or another to 'deal with the pest!' So he was waiting, peacefully playing with his blocks with a clear shot of the opening of the door. Adalie was playing some clapping game or another with Aunt Redwing, and the duo would be picked up by their big brother tonight, rather than their mother. it was different, but Henry had a transporter home, so it was okay.

The twins were too little just yet for their own transporters. The boy built and destroyed, built and destroyed as she waited for the bad lady to return with Kamel or whatever. He hadn't been paying attention. The bad lady had scared Adalie, so he was busy soothing her instead.

Ah ha! She returned! The boy launched the block hard, aimed for where Linde's head would have been. "Go way Alien! Go way!" Linde shrieked and jumped back, just in case, clearly terrified of the little devil, and nearly tumbling down the stairs. She well knew the child's impeccable aim. Even with Kampf in front, he was a right terror!

Adalie looked up from her game to watch curiously, twisting around to see who came through the door. "Pew-pew, Aun' R'ing?" She asked at the shout of alien. She wanted to see a pew pew! Mommy never let them watched the others in the gun range! This would be so cool!

Trent huffed. "But Aun' R'ing! Alien!" The boy protested. Adalie toddled over to Trent, and looked around the corner curious. That didn't look like an alien. The girl glanced up, up, up at Kampf, and then spotted the look of fury on the bad lady's face.

"Uh oh." She said and scurried back to hide behind Trent. This was not a good thing at all. Hopefully, Henry would come before they got in big big trouble. He'd rescue them both. "Not alien." Trent's eyes widened at this and he dove for the desk, fully planning on hiding under it.

Linde clung to Josef, clearly frightened. "Do you see! It's a little demon, Josef. Oh you must get rid of it!" She didn't like her sister's god children. They were violent little alien freaks. she had begged her parents to rebuff House Anona at all fronts, if possible, mostly due to the tiny children in it!

Adalie and Trent, both under the desk not, glanced out from under it, Liese's tie around the boy's head, though not tied up, and the tunic having long since been used as bedding and a blanket. The two had much fun doing so, as well. They smelled like nice things, to the two. Trent was clearly prepared to throw again, a block clutched in a tiny fist.

Linde shuddered. "They're aliens, Josef. I don't even know why you show them mercy!" Aliens! Xenos, and freaky little bratty ones too! Oh yes, Linde despised the little ones. Still, Josef was wise indeed, so she clung to his arm, willing to at least try. "Forgive me, Josef. I will try to reach one, of course."
