Livia Caesarius ran, and ran as fast as she could, her Legionaries barely keeping up with her run, once back at the camp, one of the Soldiers saluted, followed by the Centurion.

"Legatus! Our scouts have spotted Aschen Reverences, they're glassing the region and they're closing fast, we need to get to the Circa-Kona and fast!"

Livia nodded, looking up to the towering dark cloud. "I thought this was an occupation, not a glassing operation!" Livia shouted over the commotion, as an Aschen reverence passed over, causing the ground to shake, and nearly deafening anyone who was forced to hear her engines.

The Glassing had grown closer and closer, and Livia was quickly running out of time. The Camp had been quickly packing their things, and Livia was working to load everything from armor, to papers, to computers into crates, before a deafening boom shook the ground and a brilliant orange flash of light was seen. The line of Aschen starships had grown closer, and the looming cloud had now covered the camp, blocking out the sun.

"Legatus! They are getting closer, if we don't leave now, the Circa-Kona will be buried!"

Livia Caesarius kept looking up, as the bulbous hull of the Aschen reverence poked through a gap in the tree, the boom got louder, and the heat from the beam of energy could be felt, trees catching fire from the intense heat, even Livia's armor, and the armor of several Legates could be seen glowing, some of them catching fire and burning alive, as the beam cut a swathe of destruction through the forest.

There was another deafening boom, but this was slightly different, a portal near the camp had been activated.

Livia snatched Altheda's hand and began to run. "Just leave it!" She shouted, as the air began to fill with static electricity, the ship, now directly above them, began to charge it's main weapon to fire.

The two of them would be hurled through what seemed like a tunnel of light, Outside the tunnel were starships, similar to the ones that were burning the forest, some of them much larger, deadlier. Soon they sped by planets, suns, stars, more starships. In seconds they were leaving the galaxy as the tunnel led them out into a void of blackness, there was no air, only a suffocating void until a second galaxy was before them. Stars, ships, planets sped past until they were hurled towards an earth like moon orbiting a massive blue gas giant, which circled a brilliant white-blue F type Subgiant star.

They hurled towards the moon until a brilliant light engulfed them, and the two, along with their Legionaries, were hurled through the portal into the middle of what looked like a Military base of some kind, a Taiyou base.

The Sky was clear, and they were upon a steppe, flatlands. The skies had white puffy clouds, with the gas giant, and five other moons in the sky, the sun burning a brilliant white in the sky.

Livia Caesarius placed her hand on the woman's back. "Relax, we're safe now." She said, starting to walk towards the gates of the base, Taiyou soldiers seen practicing their morning routines. "This is my home, this is Argos, we're three million light years from Terra, from the planet we were just on." She said, staring up at the sky, which to Altheda, would probably appear quite alien.

"Come, Amphipolis is only a half day walk from here." She said, her other Legates coming in behind her.

"I will explain everything on the way."

Livia Caesarius pushed open the bar door slowly, her sword slowly edging and poking inside the bar, then it pushed the bar door open and the woman trotted in, smoothing down her Lorica Segmentata armor and red tunica that was worn under the armor. Her eyes glanced from left to right before she slid her sword into it's scabbard.

"Hmmm.." She said aloud as her eyes fell on Randin, and she watched him a moment, before she took two steps into the bar, noting he was talking to 'ike'

"Who's your friend, Randin." She said aloud, her voice smooth as a freshly glassed planet.

Livia Caesarius rested her hand on the pommel of her sheathed Spatha, eyes narrowing. "No, I'm here to enforce Argosian social customs, because there's nothing more that I would enjoy..." She then leaned forward. "Than to tie you to a cross and leave you to rot." She said, her voice low and almost dripping with proverbial venom.

"Keep in mind you have a wife waiting for you back home, and it'd be a shame if I had to have you crucified and castrated for your infidelity."

Livia Caesarius looked to the child, inspecting it like a piece of meat, before she shook her head. "No, because I promise that if I took this child, it would simply be thrown to die." She said, turning to Darien, then back to Randin.

"Patrons, I haven't personally witnessed any crucifixions in awhile, but I'm sure I can arrange one." She looked to the holographic menu, and despite her primitive appearance, she worked the menu like a master, ordering her drink and being promptly served the red wine.

"You know, with your coming and going like this, she's starting to wonder, question your motives, don't fuck this up and make it fall apart, because I'll crucify you for my pleasure."

Livia Caesarius watched the baby flutter around, and she quickly unsheathed her blade. "Go ahead and sell tickets to that dance, I'll be there to crucify you when she blows her head off, if she doesn't blow yours off too." She said, pointing her sword at the baby, which landed on a nearby table. "Hmmph, damn kids." She grumbled, sheathing her sword.

"Regardless, go ahead and have your chat, like I said, when she blows her head off, I'll be there to end you."

Livia Caesarius huffed at Randin. "I'm going to explain it to her? And tell me, Mr. Kaye, how per-chance do you think I am going to be motivated to explain anything to her?" She said, narrowing her eyes. Livia of course had no morals, having attained her rank from fight after fight, killing her enemies to advance.

"Because I don't think you're in a position to force me to do anything."

Livia Caesarius laughed. "Come after me?" She laughed, and then she grabbed the pommel of her sword. "Tell me, why don't you just settle this right here, right now. I'll come back and tell Marlene that you were killed honorably in the line of duty." The sound of metal on metal echoed as she unsheathed her spatha.

"I don't like you, I only did this to try and help her, but if you're going to force my hand, then force my hand." The blade glinted in the light with each movement and she pointed it to him.

"Twenty-one feet rule, guns won't help you."

Livia Caesarius laughed. "You're going to throw your magnums, okay, I'll throw my sword." She said, tossing the custom made blade into the floor of the bar, which is struck with a dull thud. "There you go, now toss your magnums." She said, cracking her knuckles and reaching to her hip, touching a small Taiyou looking device strapped around her upper thigh, through a gap in her skirt.

"Come on." She said, tweaking the small device before she closed both of her hands, a sharp whine echoing from her gauntlets.

Livia Caesarius gave a sly grin. "I did toss all my weapons." She said, holding out her hands. "I'm unarmed, as you can see." She said, before she closed her hands back into fists, and she got into a fighting stance.

"You're outclassed, Kaye, I will show no mercy, and I will eagerly kill you here and now." She said, punching her two fists together, the clink of metal heard.

Livia Caesarius shrugged. "We shall see." She waited for him, listening to the buzz of her adjusted Nanoshield, he would have to get close, so her shield could deliver him a painful shock. After-all, the Legate was told if she wasn't cheating, she wasn't trying hard enough.

"You want to teach me a lesson so badly, then come at me." She taunted, closing her gauntleted fists and tensing them.

"We shall see, I will make no promises."

Livia Caesarius grinned. "Spoken like a true profligate, you want to fight so badly, then here I am, otherwise kneel in submission and surrender yourself." She said, her stance well balanced and typical of any Roman legionary.

"You're a spoiler, worthless, unworthy of even shining my boots, now come at me, Profligate!"

Livia Caesarius watched as the bullet was flung towards her, entering her shield and passing through without too much consequence, the object too small to be stimulated by the nanomachines floating haplessly through the air around her. "That's it? That's all you got, Profligate? Fine then, be that way." She would close the distance with him, lunging forward, hoping to catch him in her shield when she got close, to deliver a painful, incapacitating shock, though she was unaware that the Taiyou shield generator couldn't handle that much energy output, the shield would be found to be a one time use only in that manner.

Livia Caesarius growled as she threw the duster aside, completely unaware of Randin's foot swipe, of course, though she was unaware of it, her shield was more than aware of it, and a painful nearly incapacitating jolt and brilliant white flash was likely seared through him like a bolt of lightning through him and into the ground, as his foot entered the cloud of nanomachines surrounding Livia, there was a deafening pop, and Livia screaming in pain as the Taiyou shield generator concealed under her leg began to smoke and smolder, the smell of burning plastic and burning metal permeating the bar as she rolled and quickly got back to her feet.

Livia Caesarius threw the now fried generator from her thigh, eyes narrowed. "You obviously don't care about your wife." She said, throwing her cape in front of her and vanishing in a brilliant storm of rainbow colored light.

Livia Caesarius inspected her surroundings for several moment, looking up to the star, the looming gas giant and the other moons that dotted the sky. She then stepped forward, Taiyou soldiers coming and going, all of them minding their business. The sounds of their strange language heard through the camp as she walked forward. "Don't be afraid, you're safe here." Livia assured as they walked through the base, the sound of diesel engines gnashing and snarling heard as two Taiyou jeeps and a tank drove past, treads crunching in the ground.

"I'll be taking you to the city, and see if I can find a place for you to live."
