The Swag Man
Kelvin is the lord of swag. He believes he is the Creator's gift to the female sex, and often displays an absurd amount of bravado when faced with any sort of opposition. His confidence in both his appearance and combat abilities is well-founded, but there has been many time where over-confidence landed him in rather uncomfortable situations. Ultimately however, his inability to truely cease to exist as a person fills him with a tremendous ego boost that has yet to be blunted.
Although Kelvin's skills and abilities may vary to some degree based on what sort of world and timeline he is currently in, he has a basic skillset/equipment that he maintains in all iterations of his conscious being.
Cavalry Sabre: A slightly curved blade of about 2 feet of edged length, it sports a 3/4 handguard and is single-edged. Forged of steel, embellished with his initials, silvered edge for dealing with nasty incorporeal beasties. Very good at chopping and parrying.
Wheellock Pistols: A pair of fairly advanced Renaissance era sidearms, capable of firing 3 shots before requiring a reload. Accurate to about 15 paces, mostly used for show. Capable of inflicting serious bodily harm if it hits.
Main gauche: A long, sword parrying dagger strapped to his belt. Used to strike when opponent's blade has been caught, or to catch an incoming strike.
Leather bracers: Protective braces of hardened and oiled leather, attached to forearms to protect them from injury.
Plumed hat: Increases swag factor by 150%. Can be used as bucket or distraction as the need arises.
Lord Kelvin was born into a noble family in some age past that has long since passed out of his memory. All he remembers is his name, title, and circumstances of his 'transcendence', although at times he has doubted even his certainty in those points as well. He distinctly remembers, however, being an apprentice to a renowned chronomancer. In a failed bid to reverse the effect of some local disturbance, the elder wizard managed to tie the life timeline of Kelvin into the fabric of existence itself. At first, it was not apparent, but as others grew old and died around him, it became evident that something was amiss. Soon, the local populace grew restless and anxious, then angry and outright hostile. It was thus that Kelvin was murdered in the dead of night, unsuspecting, by a mob of angry villagers whom had once been his loyal subjects. The revelation of his true essence was then realized, as he awoke in an entirely different plane of existence. Since then, millenia have passed and Kelvin has seen much of the plight of mortals, past, present, and future, on many different planets. From each timeline he visits, he adds a little bit of knowledge to his skillset. Resigned to living forever, he has made it his quest to acquire all the knowledge he can... and have a roaring good time while he's at it.
