Marquis Louis Ancroft Vernon Esq.
Basics -

First name: Louis
Middle name: Ancroft
Last name: Vernon
Nickname(s): The Prince of Montague’s Gambit.
Gender: Male.
Species: Vampire.
Race: Human.
Nationality: English
Date of birth: October 21, 1798
Age: 213 years from my last count, this is of course also counting my natural life before I became what stands before you. Before they turned me into one of the walking dead I was 23 years old and happily married.
Horoscope: One would imagine that people would stop believing in such nonsense.
Birthplace: It has been such a long time ago but I can recall my childhood all the way back to when I was just a boy of 5 years old. My parents told me that I was born in a small village just north of St. Ives sits now. I have visited that place many a time and no longer recognize it.
Current residence: My estate is not as voluptuous as one might think for a member of the aristocratic members of society, no, my estate is no more than a plot in a graveyard deep in a simple mausoleum made of marble and other stones along with double doors that even in my eternal existence still show the grandeur that I once claimed.

Appearance -

Height: I stand roughly around 6’2”
Weight: 212 pounds.
Build: Lean.
Handedness: right handed.
Skin color: Pale.
Blemishes/Birthmarks: I was a healthy child and so I suffered no bodily scars or blemishes that would mark me with any imperfections. Nor do I have any birthmarks that could have distinguished me for my father or mother to identify if my corpse would have washed ashore one day or if I was murdered. Then again I suppose that now it would not matter if I did sense they are long dead.
Tattoos: In this day of age I have noticed that many people have marked on their skin with inks of all kinds but do I have any? The answer is no of course. I find that marking the skin with designs is all fine and good but I would prefer not to scar myself so easily.
Piercings: This is just like the first question about the Tattoos. No I might were a ring or two but I would never place jewelry upon my ears. Of course many of the men in my time might have and I know surely that even more so did in the years before my birth but like most things I like to think of myself as staying constant.
Hair color: Brown.
Style: Short and wavy.
Length: Short.
Wear: None.
Eye color: Pale Blue.
Usual attire: My usual attire is that of clothing from the Victorian Age, a lovely time filled with dress and parties were a man could meet with a woman and enjoy themselves. I however try to remain in a more lax form of dress that would not seem to excessive or appear that I am going out on the town.
Secondary attire: Like the cloths I find myself usually wearing but with a bit more flare.
Occasional attire: It would appear that I have joined some masquerade.
Armor: Nothing clunky and no leather except for the cloths I am wearing.
Gear:
Equipment:
Weapon preference: A man is taught the finer arts of war from sword play to shooting. I however do not just take up a single weapon and call it one of my favorites.
Main weaponry:
Secondary weaponry:
Jewelry: Several gold bands with rather large rubies and sapphires along with a silver band with his family crest emblazed by a cut onyx gem.
Accessories:

Health –
Diet: I used to dine of the finest dishes created by masters gourmets with years of experience and a lifetime of fine dishes at my table. Now I drink the blood of my prey and if I am lucky am able to do so while enjoying my past meals as to make them more bearable. We vampires might not be able to eat normal foods like the mortals do but we still have a very powerful sense of taste.
Exercise: I used to be a fencer, swordsmen, and an active enthusiast of walking around town and hiking through the woods. Now I lay about indulging my dark needs and hunting down my prey for days if not weeks before I strike.

Physical disabilities: None.
Mental disabilities: I am no more insane than the next man.
Habits: “We are creatures of Habit.” Something that I fully agree to and my daily habits, or nightly whichever you feel more comfortable with, usually consists of me reading in my time and studying laws and the sciences of the world as much has changed sense my time. All forms of knowledge keep me sated just for curiosity sakes alone.
Bad habits: When I am out on the hunt and I drain my victims dry, which I rarely do as killing them would only draw more attention to myself, I tend to leave a bit of myself behind in the way of an article of clothing or something I brought along. I have been known to leave behind coins that I have handled only to leave them heads up

'Late in the evening as always and not a single morsel had even stepped in my way, what a true pity, and to think that this world had grown so accustomed to the idea of the walking dead among the masses that getting a bite would be considerably easier.' It was this very thought that made Louis wonder if the people who called Wing City there home even knew of the danger that the afflicted carried with them or even if they would know what to do if they found themselves dying in an alley way grasping for air as their throats had been ripped out while they slowly die from blood loss. No, Louis was not delusional, there was a rather firm and cold understanding he had about his condition and not a single soul could tell him otherwise as he made his way up to the bar counter while he placed in a order of heated whiskey.

The glass arrived on time and with haste he took up his order only to make his way towards a table that was propped up against the wall with two chairs sitting across from one another, and with ease, Louis in turn removed one of the chairs and took his seat enjoying the warmth of his drink. The dark haired man began to smell the warmth of the whiskey just to then glance about the bar searching for someone to provide his next meal while he continued to stay within the inner city.

Louis Vernon left his drink and exited the bar as there was blood on the wind he needed to follow.

The door to the bar opened up and in would step a man wearing a dark suit, modern in style, and with his hair tied back as so that it did not get into his face as he walked in. His cold eyes scanned the bar but he simply made his way over towards one of the service droids only to place in an order for warmed whiskey and a daily paper which held all of the news he needed to learn of from the previous days.

Louis Vernon looked upon the young lady who had brought him his warmed whiskey and the paper. "Thank you very much." Louis commented only to reach into his pocket and placed down the appropriate pay only to take up his warmed beverage and paper only to take his seat in a corner by a window. He would place the paper to his side for now as he held the warmed alcohol in hand taking in the scent and remembering a time before he had met his unfortunate end.

Louis Vernon continued to hold the warmed whiskey in his hands only to enjoy the feeling that so many who where not afflicted enjoyed every day. Those who where in the bar did catch his eye however but he would say nothing to them as there was no need to extend his condolences to them or even shake anyone's hand. Tonight Louis wished to watch those who he had been watching for centuries just to wait and decide when to strike when it best suited him.

Every man, woman, and child was a slave to his or her bonds and habits. It is this subtle fact that made Louis smile knowing full well that this was the reason why he drank from the living. The young man named Ezrael glanced his way but Louis took not action towards this as Gambit's bar had all kinds of people within her walls.

Louis Vernon continued to enjoy himself with his warm beverage in hand as the heat slowly left the whiskey. It is an odd sensation to describe to those who could not understand the acute hearing of the dead nor was it a good idea to try to describe something that did not have words for it. Louis set his drink he had not touched to the side just to pick up his paper just to then look over the business section and then the local news.

Maybe it would have just been easier to get a feed to the news in his home but then again he will dreadfully miss the scenery of Gambit's Bar. Once again one would imagine that conversations between two people would be much quieter if one would have the idea to yell at another man. However instead of waiting for the inevitable Louis simply set down his paper just to look over to the two. "I would imagine that yelling at someone now would be just fine if it was something of grand importance."

"I find myself rather enthralled by the idea to be honest." Louis smiled a bit just to shake his head as he was about to say something else only to be thrown off by the woman, who for every horrible reason actually screamed some nonsense about chocolate and some body who did not like it. "Why in the world would you shout something like that?" Louis asked just to seem utterly flabbergasted at this point.

"A story I suppose but does it have substance other than chocolate?" Louis was all for this woman telling a story but if the only filling she had to offer was the dark substance that makes polish children fat then maybe she herself would need to hear a tale with a true bit of sustenance to it. Right as Louis was about to speak again the young woman explain herself and oddly enough reminded the immortal that this woman could have been Hitlers speech writer. "Might I make a suggestion?" Louis asked as he slowly began to rise from his seat just to slowly make his way over to the two who sat at the bar. "Might I suggest creating a story with a bit of, well, story to it. Seems rather bland in my opinion. Chocolate might be sweet but a true story can add a lifetime of pleasure if it is told right."

The door to Gambit's Bar would open and in would walk Louis who once again dressed in modern clothes that appeared to suit him nicely while carrying in a small book brown book bound by a leather strap. "Is the bar still serving tonight?"

Regardless of who, or what, the tender was tonight Louis simply found himself drawing nearer to the corner table that sat close to a window looking out towards the street and housing a small white candle that was partially melted. Louis was about to take a seat until he turned to Hellshine and nodded. "A glass of heated apricot brandy. Also if it would not be to much trouble could I get the paper for the other day as I doubt the newest articles are out as of right now."

Louis Vernon simply nodded to Hellshine as she had brought over his warmed beverage and the paper. Without any haste lost Louis took his seat and set the little book to the side as he reached for his warmed glass of brandy allowing the smell of the heated alcohol to invigorate his senses and bring back fond memories of a time he could no longer visit. After a few minutes of enjoying the past the pale skinned man simply set his drink down and began to remove his outer jacket just to then take up his paper as to read the articles of the day that would help him in his next hunt.

Louis Vernon looked up at the noise only to shake his head. "And one might imagine the possibilities these people have when it comes down to defending themselves. I wither away in utter fear." With that said Louis smirked a bit and continued to read his paper only to occasionaly pick up his glass and sniff at the aoroma it gave off.

Once again as if this very place had become one of his favorite outings Louis stepped into Gambit's Bar with little care for any of the patrons that were around him. The pale man simply made his way over to the bar and placed in a order of heated apricot brandy followed by the daily paper so that he could make his way over to his favorite booth in the far right hand corner of the establishment.

The summers heat would kill most in a rather impressive display of burning glory and ash but the man who made his way out of the shade of one of the book stores awnings only to lower his own shades to greet the day. The man wore a rather grim looking outfit that consisted of a black shirt and pants along with a trench coat to match his style but left it open so that he had some air to breath. A slow start to be sure but there was nothing that could stand in Louis Ancroft Vernon's way, so long as he had his newly acquired purchase and not a single care in the world, that is of course if he did not need to find someone to bring home today.

With a few steps out into the day it was not long before Louis had a sneaking suspicion that his quest would be delayed, but why, and for what reason could this possible be? With only a few glances of his surroundings all the people that were out this day seemed to pass by him in a blur as his eyes began to quickly scan everything before him. Not once did the vampire find himself in familiar company, but twice, it seemed that a young boy who appeared to be from India made his way over and with this Louis lowered himself to one knee to get at eye level with the lad. "You know when I try to stay in hiding I truly wish to stay in hiding. Fate however wishes to bother me once more with her trivial pursuits and so here I am questioning if I know you boy? The years have done you no favors."

Louis Vernon looked down at the boy and allowed his mind to wonder through the past decades into his new found life and onto a particular scene. It was a pair of dice that had placed him on the loosing end of the bargain. "No, I am afraid not, you see I recall this young man who I had lost a good couple of franks to all those years ago." The city continued to move about on its own as time seemed to stand still for the two as Louis brought a hand towards the 'young mans' shoulders. "A balsy little trap you turned out to be."

"No I'm not." Louis always detested such displays but his hand jetted to the young boys neck and within mere inches of grabbing the little cheat Louis was gone. Not a single soul within the crowd took notice but the vampire in black had simply left behind in his wake a small token that now sat upon the ground from whence he was kneeling.

For what would seem like almost an eternity Manik would feel that time itself had slipped free from his grasp and what would once be day now would be night and from were the sun once stood now a crescent moon. Louis on the other hand now stood behind the boy from India only to cross his arms and glare down at the child who had stolen from him so many years ago. "Nifty little tricks can be picked up for those who take the time to study and practice them but tell me something. How long have you been in this city?"

"Give me a good reason as to why I should not remove you from this city by force. There is far to many of our kind walking around and several hunters have formed a rather powerful organization." Louis did not glare or smile at the young man but kept a rather civil tone with him. "I need not speak of those dangers any more."

"I will not play games with you and the amount of time I have been here in comparison is of no concerns to you." Louis took a step forward only to show his fangs a bit as he watched the young boy. "Why would I want you to stick around me. Have I not made myself clear on those who would hunt our kind?"

Louis Vernon glared at the little piece of shit excuse of a vampire wishing that he had dealt with the runt a long time ago instead of waiting for this exact moment to come. Red fury began to fill the eyes of Louis and his hands began to clench ever tighter. "Shut your mouth boy, unless you want me to remove your tongue. I will have your head way before you could even think another poisonous thought do you hear me."
