Description

Marquis Louis Ancroft Vernon Esq.
Basics -

First name: Louis
Middle name: Ancroft
Last name: Vernon
Nickname(s): The Prince of Montague’s Gambit.
Gender: Male.
Species: Vampire.
Race: Human.
Nationality: English
Date of birth: October 21, 1798
Age: 213 years from my last count, this is of course also counting my natural life before I became what stands before you. Before they turned me into one of the walking dead I was 23 years old and happily married.
Horoscope: One would imagine that people would stop believing in such nonsense.
Birthplace: It has been such a long time ago but I can recall my childhood all the way back to when I was just a boy of 5 years old. My parents told me that I was born in a small village just north of St. Ives sits now. I have visited that place many a time and no longer recognize it.
Current residence: My estate is not as voluptuous as one might think for a member of the aristocratic members of society, no, my estate is no more than a plot in a graveyard deep in a simple mausoleum made of marble and other stones along with double doors that even in my eternal existence still show the grandeur that I once claimed.

Appearance -

Height: I stand roughly around 6’2”
Weight: 212 pounds.
Build: Lean.
Handedness: right handed.
Skin color: Pale.
Blemishes/Birthmarks: I was a healthy child and so I suffered no bodily scars or blemishes that would mark me with any imperfections. Nor do I have any birthmarks that could have distinguished me for my father or mother to identify if my corpse would have washed ashore one day or if I was murdered. Then again I suppose that now it would not matter if I did sense they are long dead.
Tattoos: In this day of age I have noticed that many people have marked on their skin with inks of all kinds but do I have any? The answer is no of course. I find that marking the skin with designs is all fine and good but I would prefer not to scar myself so easily.
Piercings: This is just like the first question about the Tattoos. No I might were a ring or two but I would never place jewelry upon my ears. Of course many of the men in my time might have and I know surely that even more so did in the years before my birth but like most things I like to think of myself as staying constant.
Hair color: Brown.
Style: Short and wavy.
Length: Short.
Wear: None.
Eye color: Pale Blue.
Usual attire: My usual attire is that of clothing from the Victorian Age, a lovely time filled with dress and parties were a man could meet with a woman and enjoy themselves. I however try to remain in a more lax form of dress that would not seem to excessive or appear that I am going out on the town.
Secondary attire: Like the cloths I find myself usually wearing but with a bit more flare.
Occasional attire: It would appear that I have joined some masquerade.
Armor: Nothing clunky and no leather except for the cloths I am wearing.
Gear:
Equipment:
Weapon preference: A man is taught the finer arts of war from sword play to shooting. I however do not just take up a single weapon and call it one of my favorites.
Main weaponry:
Secondary weaponry:
Jewelry: Several gold bands with rather large rubies and sapphires along with a silver band with his family crest emblazed by a cut onyx gem.
Accessories:

Health –
Diet: I used to dine of the finest dishes created by masters gourmets with years of experience and a lifetime of fine dishes at my table. Now I drink the blood of my prey and if I am lucky am able to do so while enjoying my past meals as to make them more bearable. We vampires might not be able to eat normal foods like the mortals do but we still have a very powerful sense of taste.
Exercise: I used to be a fencer, swordsmen, and an active enthusiast of walking around town and hiking through the woods. Now I lay about indulging my dark needs and hunting down my prey for days if not weeks before I strike.

Physical disabilities: None.
Mental disabilities: I am no more insane than the next man.
Habits: “We are creatures of Habit.” Something that I fully agree to and my daily habits, or nightly whichever you feel more comfortable with, usually consists of me reading in my time and studying laws and the sciences of the world as much has changed sense my time. All forms of knowledge keep me sated just for curiosity sakes alone.
Bad habits: When I am out on the hunt and I drain my victims dry, which I rarely do as killing them would only draw more attention to myself, I tend to leave a bit of myself behind in the way of an article of clothing or something I brought along. I have been known to leave behind coins that I have handled only to leave them heads up

"My research has yielded some interesting results." Louis spoke only to keep his hand upon the hilt of the rapier. The vampire would follow Casren just to look around as if it had been some time sense he had seen the place.

Casren sniffed the air. Kaiser had been here recently, and, he sniffed again, Ulrich. What was the meaning of this?

His scowl quickly turned to a smile as the man realized this was the perfect time to rid himself of this pesky entourage. "Half of you!" He snapped, "Pursue the scent, I know you smell it. Ulrich, find him, find his business with Kaiser, and find Kaiser!" Casren turned a smile on Louis.

"You recall Dren?" Louis spoke as his voice did not seem to belong to him once again as he kept up with the other vampire. "The feral looking vampire who accompanied me with his own army to add to your already outstanding forces. He brought to me the ashes of Mariotto and a page that was missing from the letters I have been recovering. They make note of several...." Louis stopped as he to made note of the scent but did not know anything about it except for that this could only mean trouble if Casren gave an order to find these people.

"Dren, yes," Casren looked to Louis, recalling the strange man. Wasn't he less than enthusiastic, despite the royal treatment and soldiers?

"Go on, no trouble with Ulrich and Kaiser. Kin on the run, you could say," Understanding the paranoia, Casren trekked west through the thick.

Louis Vernon kept moving only to tighten his grip on the hilt of the rapier he carried only to find himself loosing this battle of wills. "They speak of several rather interesting psalms, ways to control the outcomes of people of events, more specifically now that those who are traitors will soon face justice."

The vampire came to a stop but when all was said and done it was no longer Louis who stood before Casren but the long dead Mariotto Valrez Spencer who now smiled fiendishly at Casren. "And it should be known that keeping my sword under that damned-able table in the room of reason is not a place for such a fine weapon."

"Casren my beloved friend if you think that I would be so easily forgotten you would be mistaken." Mariotto spoke just to then take a step towards the other vampire just to put a cold hand upon the others face. "Tell me what it was that made your lot send me out to face such a thing alone? Did the Lessards promise you power? Did they promise you equality?"

Mariotto simply frowned a bit as he looked as Casren. "Whose dog do you think it belonged to Casren?" It was strange that not a single word was ever questioned as to were the beast came from or as to why Mariotto was the one sent out to fight the beast. "All within the halls that night said that I was the one who had to fight the beast and then when I met my demise my father came onto me." Mariotto simply looked at the other vampires back just to then shake his head. "He had told me that some time had passed and after he confronted the Lessards it did not end well." With that being said Mariotto stepped to the right of Casren just to then sigh. "I will be unable to stay like this for long you know. I can come and go but it is not as if Louis is not fighting me hand and foot."

"To be honest my return is due to the fact that I had left specific orders for Louis to apply part of my ashes to the very rapier I hold in my grasp." Mariotto glanced down at the sheathed weapon only to laugh a bit. "I can feel him Casren trying to rip free from me but his love for me is what keeps me here now." The devilish vampire brought a single hand through his long black hair now as it was his physical form and not Louis. "There is more to this place than meets the eye and I doubt if I was still alive you would take me here just for my pleasure alone."

"Well I am happy to know that. Before you show me tell me what has become of my favorite little vampire, the jester, he was always the adorable one and I do recall that wonderful night he had shown me when I had asked him for it." Mariotto began to walk a bit only to stop and wait for Casren.

"Truly it has been some time." Mariotto quickly retorted as he began to ponder if he could recall anyone other than the vampire who stood before him.

"We shall. Lead the way." Mariotto spoke just to then offer a fiendish grin as he wanted to know what Casren had in store.

Louis Vernon stepped out from the shadows only with a single hand upon his long forgotten lovers rapier that sat upon his belt loop and a rather devilish grin stuck upon his face. "Daemala what do we have here? Guests, it seems we always have those about, I am to assume you are giving them the best of our hospitality?"

Louis Vernon looked at Daemala with a bit of curiosity but simply nodded as he went to inspect the visitors from afar. "Interestingly enough I suppose I have not a choice in the matter." Louis simply looked at the foreigners only to smile a rather toothy grin just to then look back at Daemala. "There is much you need to explain to me."

An old face stepped into the Tauvyr Tavern in refined clothes long past their due date for the times that his kind often held true with. Louis simply smiled as his cold marble features hide the monster that dwelled deep bellow in his psyche.

"Gruul, warmed to 78 degrees room temperature, in a brandy snifter." Louis barked his order in a blunt manner that he was so accustomed as he took his seat at the bars counter and took up a random newspaper or something of the sort.

Regardless of whoever answered his order Louis was a creature of habit and in due time he would have what he wanted.

It's a wonder the snifter didn't shatter, with what force Daemala slammed it down before Louis. Gruul, warmed to 78 degrees room temperature. She gave him an even stare. Cold. Regarding him and dismissing him at the same time with her scabbed eyes. Many moments passed, and right before she swept around to gently sip her own glass of Blud she let loose an under-breath comment hand tailored for this relic of many pasts.

"You dog."

Louis raised a brow and quirked a strange smile revealing one of his fangs in what some would consider a mock snarl. He was not a fool as to be so blissfully unaware of who Daemala was but as for now he did not care. Instead he simply raised his paper freely to read what the day had brought and to allow his hand to hover over his beverage to take in the warmth and enjoy the fragrance it emitted.

It was upon her slanderous words that The Prince of Montague’s Gambit simply lowered his paper and offered her a level gaze.

"Lady Daemala Tauvyr, a pleasure as always, it has been hard for me to escape my work to come and enjoy such a fine establishment without harsh words and foul language. Prey tell what have I done to offend you this time as I am sure the list is long and full of details."

"Work?" She laughed, once, more of a bark. What was it he did again? She couldn't recall, but cared all too much. She sipped her wine, sliding her eyes over to regard him again. The glass slowly emptied, and still she did not blink. Daemala clinked it to the counter. She ran a tongue across her lips to catch the blud that stained them.

"The pleasure is mine, of course. So, where exactly have you been?" Daemala flashed Louis a fanged smile. Still the woman did not blink. A part of her was still angry, at everyone, at everything, and at time itself. It drabbled on and in this town she remained. Going about her business. Biding her life away on the upper scale of drunk.
