Personality

Lucas Kendall can be a controlling man at times, he prefers to take command of a situation when he can. Feeling out of the loop or ignored will easily anger him. He enjoys a good beer after a day's work, though sometimes he drinks a little more than he should. Lucas loves his wife and daughter very much, he is incredibly protective of both of them. Ever since his career as a hero ended, Lucas has been feeling down. He yearns for the days when people cheered at the sight of him and he was known around the country as a hero of justice.

Equipment

Due to a strange mutation, Lucas can create and control psionic force fields. They are solid and can be created even when submerged in liquid. They are translucent and orange in color and can be almost any shape and size. He can use these force fields for offense, defense and many other creative ways. When using his powers his eyes glow with orange light. The strength of Lucas' force fields is determined by the strength of his will.

History

Lucas Kendall was an American born boy who grew up on a farm in Upstate New York. His life truly began when he joined the U.S. Army at the age of 24 in 1988. In 1991 Lucas was sent to fight in the Gulf War in the 504th Infantry Regiment, where he learned what fighting was really like. During an intense battle, Lucas was almost struck by a mortar. In what would have been the last moment of his life, Lucas' mutant powers kicked in, and without even thinking his force fields manifested to stop the mortar shell in mid-flight. In whatever spare time he had, he experimented with his new found powers and used them to stay alive. Lucas survived without any crippling injuries and returned home as a changed man in the same year.

In 1993, Lucas learned that there were others like him. Other people had incredible mutant powers and wanted to do something with their gift. A man who called himself Cunning Lee recruited a small group of mutants together, Lucas was one of them. Together they formed a team of heroes, they would live life fighting those who wished to disturb peace and the American way. Together they were the Peacemakers! The team was made up of Lucas as Justicar, a private eye called MissFire, a hulking ex-professional boxer with the persona of Swordbreaker, a doctor who preferred to be called Doc Shock, and Cunning Lee, the genius CEO of H&T Industries, as their leader.

Together the Peacemakers went from town to town, city to city, fighting dangerous mutants and helping out during disasters. Lucas was the field leader, as Cunning Lee always stayed back at their home base and gave the team support. Like an ideal super-team, they never killed their foes. It didn't take long for them to become well known and for people to actively seek out their help.

They were in business for 10 years, making a fair amount of money along the way. But it all came crashing down on one terrible day. Razoria, a crazed and bloodthirsty cyborg has escaped from prison for the 10th time. Each time she escaped from prison she killed guards and innocents all along her way, until she was caught and thrown back in jail. But on her 10th escape when the Peacemakers moved to intercept her once again, she wasn't brought back to prison. Lucas went too far with his attacks, some say he did it on purpose, others say it was a mistake. Whatever the cause, when his force fields struck Razoria, every bone in her body shattered, killing her instantly. After that incident the team started to fall apart, Lucas refused to speak of the incident, and arguments about it arose often. Eventually the team broke up completely, and the members went their separate ways.

Lucas eventually fell in love with a girl named Marilyn Smith, they dated for some time and decided to get married in 2005 and settled down in St. Louis, Missouri. They had a daughter and named her Kate, together they lived relatively happily. Marilyn is 40 years old, Kate is 6 years old. Marilyn works at H&T Industries and Lucas works as a security guard at H&T Industries. The only former team member Lucas has kept in contact with is Cunning Lee, they regularly speak to each other. Having never revealed his identity to the public, Lucas can live in peace. As far as the public knows, Justicar has simply disappeared.

Lucas Kendall looked down at his ringing cellphone, Lee Tong was calling again. “Not tonight.” Lucas muttered as he stepped into what was probably the oldest joint in the city, Gambit's Bar. He wore a nice pair of blue jeans and a red sweatshirt. He ordered a Guinness as he sat down at the bar next to Cedrella Ashdown. He was pleased that he finally had a chance to relax. Just as he was about to take a sip of his drink his cellphone rang again, the shrill ringtone made him start. With a sigh Lucas reached into his pocket, flipped the phone upon and immediately hung up. “Stubborn bastard.” He muttered, then sipped his drink.

Lucas Kendall thanked Fedelia, then turned to Cedrella “Sorry, just my boss-” The phone rang again, but call was quickly disconnected by Lucas. “-being stubborn as a mule.” He briefly considered turning off the phone, but his wife might call... Lucas decided it would be best to just move down a few seats, which he then did. He ran a hand through his short red hair in exasperation at his lack of relaxation. He attempted to drown out the frequent calls by enjoying his Guinness as much as he could.

“Oh screw this.” Lucas said as his phone rung for the 10th time since he entered Gambit's. “I'm going home.” With that he downed the rest of his drink, paid his tab and stood up. On his way out the door her finally answered that damned phone of his and simply said. “What?!” He stopped and listened for a moment, then hung up without another word and left the bar.
