Lukas Sadorov

rebel soldier fighting UECOR

0 · 726 views · located in The Drunken Griffon

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by mad_gater

Description

Physical description: A very large man, built like a human tank. Running into him is like running into a brick wall
Personality: generally kind and likeable, though if you wrong him his wrath his severe
Equipment and Abilities: M99, SPARTAN Laser, BR55, and a sidearm and a diamond/titanium alloy katana blade
Historical background: Lukas is, or at least was, a soldier for UECOR. However he fell in love with Empress Xiao on a world known only as Stormreach. He'd been a soldier for the UECOR for a long time and was a good candidate for their supersoldier program. Until one day he began to notice that the UECOR was allying with aliens and their intentions were less noble than they were when he first joined. Then one day the UECOR and their alien allies, known as Underlundians, invaded the orbit of Stormreach. The orbital defense platforms put up a valiant fight but they were no match for the advanced alien weaponry. Stormreach was turned to glass, Lukas barely escaped, along with Xiao. However her injuries were too extensive and she died in his arms. An enraged Lukas escaped UECOR territory and now searches for others he can for a rebel army with to break the authoritarian UECOR/Underlundian stronghold over the UECOR colonies. With her dying breath Xiao gave him her most treasured possession: a diamond/titanium alloy katana blade.

So begins...

Lukas waited in the shadows with his silenced BR55 battle rifle. Since his augmentations for sight he could snipe pretty well with a BR55 loaded with AP rounds in case he encountered any of the aliens these schmucks worked with. Soon you will pay for murdering my wife, her family and mine, and glassing our world. he thought.

Lukas then let loose with single shots from his silenced BR55, dropping 5 UECOR soldiers in quick succession before he moved with blinding speed to a new hiding spot.

Lukas then ducked into a building, wondering where the rogue clone came from. He hid in wait.

Lukas watched the programmed UECOR clone soldiers fan out to try to find him. He also felt the pinprick sensation of his instincts warning him that he was being watched and approached in clandestine fashion, likely by the rogue who also seemed to be shooting at him. He took cover to watch for this strange loner behind some boxes, being ever quiet, even slowing down his breathing as he was taught by his father in law, his wife Xiao's father.

Ixas carefullt stepped into the hallway of the mostly empty building. With his sunglasses on he scanned the area. Taking in a floor layout before moving towards the stairs at the end of the hall. This was going to be a rather entertaining day for sure. Carefully moving through the third floor of the building Ixas stepped down the stairs. The open stringers and broken or missing rails on either side left little to be thought over as a hinderance over anything else. Instead the lone UECOR Clone stalked through the next level, broken walls, burnt papers, broken glass, trash, among other things, littered the floor.

Glass crunched underfoot as Ixas stepped through the hall, the floor mapping software made a mostly accurate floor layout of the second floor of the building before he was once more at the back of the building near some broken stairs and what had once been a ladder.

Placing his gun onto his back, Ixas jumped the distance and gripped the edge, after edging along the side he dropped to the still in tact landing, then wall walked a bit to the next. Then finally jumped to a beam, hung on it for a minute then swung forwards into a room without a door, getting into a quick roll as he hit the ground he smoothly got to his feet and loosed his gun, once more taking in the floor layout. Vastly different from the second and third floor. What once had been a bar storage room of some kind. Rather interesting. Ever since Gambit's had closed due to personal issues, Ixas asked no questions. He moved lightly. Stepping up to a mostly floorless section of the back of the building.

He changed the settings slightly on his systems. The heat sensing system picked up a figure not far away. His target most likely. Ixas once more put his gun aside and took to climbing. The ceiling in this area was higher and was mostly post and beam, which then allowed the former UECOR Clone to freerun along quite easily, picking up his target once more from above. In the dimm light it was next to impossible to spot the apparent 'man'

Out in the street the squads came into view, dozens of soldiers milled around. Poking through ruined buildings and in some areas breaking into boarded up buildings to search inside them. Three trange tanks hovered a few dozen centimeters off the ground in the streets. Disgorging their wares, their insides were loaded with Clones.

The armored seemingly faceless soldiers of the Underlundian Army begain searching the area more carefully. One of the tanks rolled up to where there were injured. Disgorging a crew of a medical team that took the wounded on board. Then, with thick cover. Took an exit path back to base.

The squads regrouped and then split up again into smaller groups of four and five. Carefully scanning for everything. Mapping everything with a strange digital system markup to carefully analyse everything they could. No of the clones spoke.

Lukas watched the rogue make a beeline right for him. Must have some infrared tech on him thought Lukas as he activated a stealth device to mask at least his visible presence and crept around, looking for a way to get the drop on him, his feet falling with a silence and grace that belied his size, still breathing so silently that were it not for the fact he gave off heat no one would know he was there at all.

Ixas easily moved along the beams, skirting broken beams easily while jumping the distance to get across. Anything to keep moving. Finally he kame to a halt. Picking up new movement outside the building. Since he was against the wall at the time the armored soldier struck solidly at the wall. Knocking a brick on the otherside loose and into the face of the clone on the other side.

the UECOR Clone fell, crashing in a heap to the ground, his helmet dented, but not damaged too badly. The screen flickered briefly and for a brief moment the soldier thought he was seeing ghosts before the image faded and a brick wall was there. Each of those squads were present on another planet during a failed uprising on the world of Stormreach.

Ixas moved on, coming to a halt over a place in the hall below him he dropped, directly ontop of Lukas. How he knew the much larger man was there was unknown, but how he took him on so easily alone was even more so. For all any knew the UECOR Clone designated as nothing more than a deserter. Had dropped the second top guy in the Stormreach army from months before with just his weight.

Lukas felt a weight drop on him but with the martial arts he learned was able to flip him off. Soon it became a hand-to-hand contest between 2 equally skilled opponents. Lulas's respect for this foe grew. "You're not like the other clones" said Lukas matter-of-factly in thickly accented English.

Ixas grunted as he blocked and gripped Lukas arm tightly and flipped over the man before sweeping his legs out from under the man, Once on his back Ixas held a wicked looked blade to the larger mans neck. "Give me one good reason why I shouldn't let those soldiers know where we are right now." He said. He motioned briefly to the blade that Lukas carried, "They are after that, never told why, only what secrets it can unlock. How did you come by it ?" There seemed to be something about this Clone. Ixas tone was nearly monotone and flat. With no emotion behind its for that matter. "Speak!" He pressed the blade closer, but not close enough to draw blood.

"A gift" said Lukas before he, with blinding speed from his augmentations for the super soldier program broke the man's arm and disarmed him and drew his own blade. "Now how about you? How is it that you don't seem to follow their programming and even fight them yourself? Something tells me we might make better allies than enemies" said Lukas equally emotionlessly. He wanted to get this over with one way or another so he could go back to killing the UECOR soldiers that took his wife and family away from him or die trying.

Ixas grunted when his arm was broken and the hidden blade slid away. Laying on his back he laughed as the blade was pointed in his direction. "The conditioning was strong yes, so was the genetics. But there are some that broke that conditioning and fled. It was proven true in the First Ones." He swept his feet again and got back to his feet. His left arm hung limply at his side. With a grunt he snaped the pulled limb back into its socket with a sickening crunch. Yet there was no emotion, not even a strain of pain in his voice.

He bent down and picked up his fallen weapon and slid it back onto his left wrist. With a flick of his arm muscles he found the blade still worked just fine. "I am not the only one you have to worry about that is after that blade. There are people that tried to recruit me, they wanted me to find the weapon and deliver it to them, so they could put it in safety, hidden away from prying eyes. Who gave it to you so freely as a gift ?" Ixas then asked as he picked up his fallen weapon. "There are others still that want it to use it to their own ends. What the weapon can unlock."

"My wife's father gave it to me, more as an inheritance than an ordinary gift. My wife, her family, and mine all perished on Stormreach. My wife actually made it to the escape ship but her injuries were too serious and she died in my arms," said Lukas, showing a slight chink in his stalwart mask as he thought of his wife, her lovely face, her beautiful smile, all taken away from him by a government he once swore to serve but whose principles he now could no longer recognize. "Now I use this blade and my other weapons to make them pay dearly for that act." he said with anger. "And I think you have your own reasons for wanting to fight them, beyond merely proving to them that you broke their conditioning," he said, then tensed up. "My instincts say they are coming," said Lukas as he found a hiding spot.

Ixas smirked, "Even if it was a gift to you there are othes that know the powers and secrets the blade can unlock" He said. He picked up his remaining fallen weapons. Placing them in various parts of his armor he spoke. "Stormreach. I remember that world clearly." Even though he did not want to.

He turned aside and started to pace. "One of our first missions was to infiltrate the leadership and cause upheaveal. I see it worked only so far. The Empress was quite stalwart in her resistence." He said, "Her blade was the true prize, her body second. She was wanted alive."

He chuckled then, "I must admit, it is not something I am proud of. Trying to get that blade." He held up a hand to stay Lukas from striking him as he spoke "I was part of a infiltration Squad of the Underlundian Clone Army. My squad was joined with three others, best of the best. Our goal was to capture targets of interest, most of those targets were objects. They were called Pieces of Eden. If we were unable to find the objects we sought we were to find the persons of interest that knew where to locate the Pieces."

He pointed at the Diamond Katana as he stepped closer to Lukas, his footsteps rattling on the broken floor "That sword is one of many Pieces. Even if you do not hand it over to me for safe keeping. Others will seek it. You'll never have peace." He heard the clones outside getting closer. "I can distract them for only so long and lead them away. Good fortune to you." He bowed stiffly and turned to leave.

"So this sword has additional powers beyond being a tool with which to draw the blood of my enemies....very interesting" said Lukas. "I've heard it said that we were descended from a race known to us only as 'Forerunners'....perhaps these 'pieces of Eden' unlock their technology. Good fortune to you as well. Perhaps we may met up again and draw the blood of our mutual enemy together," said Lukas as he bowed back to Ixas and then turned and left, taking out several full batallions of the clones as he made his way up the street and out toward the wilderness where he could hide for many days. He was best of the best too, "spetznatz" was the word for it in his native language, one now probably long dead.

Ixas pretty much nodded, powers no, but additional uses, yes. Others were sure to be after it. The Pieces of Eden were powerful artefacts of ancient make. And Ixas did not doubt the man that used the blade. He had no idea who the 'Forerunners' were, nor did he much care. Without a word he turned and left before Lukas, intending to distract the Clones hunting for the larger male. Climbing swiftly to the next level and diving onto the pair of clones below and directly outside the building. His hidden knives slashing deeply into the two soldiers, wounding them down for the count before moving on down the street, drawing most of the large battlegroup away.

Lukas made his way through the creepy woods where it looked like a war was brewing. Aschen and Taiyou by the look of things thought Lukas. Lukas snorted. It's my lot in life to be surrounded by armies working for masters of ill repute evidently thought Lukas to himself grimly. He noted that they at least seemed focused on something other than himself. He finally made it to the hollow and the nice hotel that was reported to be there. Seems like a good place to hide out and lay low for awhile thought Lukas as he checked into the hotel under a false pseudonym and paid in cash for the room.

Lukas sighed. It seemed things in the woods were escalating, with great numbers of ships and men blanketing the entirety of the Hollow. Lukas began to help with the evacuation of the Hollow. "This couldn't've happened BEFORE I paid for my room" he muttered under his breath. If any Taiyou or Aschen or UECOR clone soldier got in his way though they'd find out real quick just why he'd been chosen for their super-soldier program in the first place. He was a survivor, and survivors were notoriously difficult to kill, even without super-soldier augmentations, of which he needed few due to the fact that when he was inducted he was already a human tank in terms of size.

It was both the design of the Hollow and the fact that the Jellicle was allowed entry. It was strange to be sure for such a creature, robed, hooded and their face unseen by any was even allowed entry to the townlike place of the Hollow. Climbing deftly to the rooftops the hooded figure stood at the edge of a roof on its corner, overlooking a rather busy square. Soldiers milled about. Perching on the corner of the roof, the hooded figure went stock still.

Using her Jellicle Vision tantomile carefully scanned those below. Each person below her was outlined in a faint white light only she could see. With careful scanning she picked up movement of her target item. The sword was being carried and moved ? No, the blade was worn as a weapon of war instead of a key.

She remained where she was watching carefully, locking on her target and making a mental note of the weapon and its placement. Then she jumped from the roof to the ground. Unnoticed, for the nonce, Tantomile kept her hood up and moved towards where her target was headed. The Jellicle Vision was an entirely different color spectrum which allowed her to see her target far ahead and keep track of its movements. While she herself appeared to be one of the many soldiers.

Yamamoto didn't budge, and neither did Yuriko. The Not-Casren was being stared at by Yuriko, but under strict orders not to attack anyone unless attacked, Yuriko's options were limited.

As Zosimos approached, Admiral Yamamoto turned to face the newcomers. "I'm here to speak with the governing authority of this region on Behalf of the Taiyou Empire of Greater Niihama, and until such time as the representatives of the Vankoryth Detente contact me, this area is under Martial law, and occupation by the Taiyou Empire until we can ascertain the purpose of an Aschen ship being at this location, compliance will ensure our stay is brief and without incident." The Admiral said, turning to the Invictus and NPA. "Challenging us would be a fool's errand." He turned to Yuriko, then started back towards the Sudden Transport. An Imperial Warrior Sergeant calling out.

"Hirogaru! Subete no katei o kensaku!" His platoon immediately spreading out and starting down the streets as if they were searching for something.

In Front of the Joe's Convoy, it was as if they appeared out of nowhere, a pair of Taiyou HAW-206 Multiped tanks, the scorpion shaped walking tanks bearing their heavy short-barreled tail mounted AT Cannon on the convoy, and their arm mounted heavy machine-guns. Both blocking the road with their sheer size and might, the Tank Commander bringing the AI Assisted 'think tank' to bear on the vehicles approaching.

Though they came to bear on their targets, they did not open fire. No Yamamoto had explicitly ordered not to engage unless fired upon. Which meant they could at the very least harass everyone.

Back in the Hollow itself, the dull thundering of Taiyou Jigabachi Helicopters, along with Chopper/Stryker VX Helicopters moved through the skies above the Hollow, escorted by Jet Tengu and Rocket Angels, easily enough Airpower to put up a fight while of course the Taiyou star fleet kept the Terran star ships in their sights, bearing heavy guns on the star-ships below.

On the ridge overlooking the Hollow, Additional Taiyou forces were setting up heavy artillery, self propelled guns and Wave-Force cannons moved into position to rain fiery death upon Terran forces once the order was given.

Yamamoto himself stood there, while Taiyou soldiers mocked the Terrans in their native language amongst eachother, this entire spectacle was silly, using a Military as little more than 'Occupy protesters'

Upon the shoulders of one of the towering King Oni, a small cloud of black smoke formed. It shaped itself into a humanoid form, before fully coalescing into a young woman with dark, purple-tinted hair. She was dressed casually, wearing a dark tank top with a pair of designer jeans, an expensive-looking jewelled choker around her neck and an array of bracelets on either wrist. Xyntha perched on the shoulder of the mech, legs crossed, and peered down at the scene below.

"My my, quite the kerfuffle we have here," she remarked, a mischievous glint to her eye. "How exciting."

The spectacle being caused by both armies was markedly amusing, the posturing of the Taiyou and the restrained indignation of the Invictus and Terran military. She wouldn't miss this if it went nuclear for the world.

Meanwhile on the ground, once things started to escalate, Namira had made her exit rather rapidly. Care-free and slightly mad she might be, but she wasn't suicidal. Or at least, the equivalent term for someone who was already dead.
