Luna Arktone The cigarette inbetween her fingers was giving off a light trail of smoke as Luna walked into the bar. Her soft, blue eyes looked around the room as she did, before she walked over to the bar. "A whiskey," she said shortly, her voice deep and rich. She hopped up onto the barstool, and swung one of her legs back and forth, her boot hit the bar and made a soft thump... thump... thump...

Luna Arktone "That looks like it hurt," she said. She took a drag from her cigarette and blew out; the smoke spread through the air before disappearing. "What happened? You get attacked by a wolf?" she chuckled at her own personal joke. Of course, the guy next to her wouldn't get it. She reached into her mouth and used a toothpick to pick out a tiny piece of meat, before spitting it somewhere on the ground near her.

Luna Arktone "Luna," she said, tucking her cigarette between her teeth and holding out her hand. She wore a thick hunting jacket and a pair of tight black pants, and boots. From what anyone could see, she carried no weapons, though, which would seem odd. "Nice to meet ya'."

Luna Arktone "Thanks," she said, giving a short laugh, "Much better than the name my mother gave me. Merri." she made a face. "Why are you drinking water?" she asked, turning in her stool and propping up her feet on the stool between them. "It's a bar, ain't it?"

Luna Arktone "Nice to unwind at the end of the day with a drink. I don't see the harm for it." she laughed. "Are you even old enough to drink alcohol?" she asked, leaning in skeptically.

Luna Arktone "Atta-boy," she said. "To tell you the truth, and don't tell anyone, but I'm not." she whispered to him as she leaned forward. Luna let out another not-unattractive bark of a laugh. "Well, I am, depending on what country you're in..." she threw back another shot of whiskey after knocking it against his glass. "Cheers, boss."

Luna Arktone "What a little liar!" she said, leaning back in her seat. "Well at least there's that. 19." she said, indicating herself with her thumb. "I'd be legal in most countries besides the one I'm from." she rolled her eyes. "Where you from, kid?" she asked, adopting the nickname toward him warmly.

Luna Arktone "Russia, huh?" she asked. "Well that's far. I'm from the US, myself. All over the south." That would explain her hint of an accent. She knocked back another couple shots of whiskey, "Well then, happy birthday, kid!" she said and shook his hand. "Too bad I didn't bring you a present, or nothin. Here, have a few more shots on me. Should numb the pain in that face, anyhow." she knocked on the bar and ordered a few more shots for the both of them before sliding them his way.

Luna Arktone She knocked back the other shots before sliding down from the barstool onto her boots, walking over to stand behind him. "Tell me a secret," she said quietly before coming to lean on the bar next to him.

Luna Arktone Her eyes flashed a bit as she looked at him and her smile faltered for just a minute. "Wolves, huh?" she asked and took another shot. "What do you know about wolves?" Her voice was nonchalant, but her eyes were focused on him with great intensity.

Luna Arktone "I think I might like you, kid." she said and leaned heavier against the table. "Do you believe in werewolves?" she asked and turned her blue eyes to look at Elijah. Curiosity laced Luna's words.

Luna Arktone "And what if you could, I dunno, meet one?" she asked, taking another drag from her cigarette before putting it out in an ash-tray.

Luna Arktone "Well today looks like it might just be your lucky day, kid," she said in a quiet tone. "We're not 'it's by the way." she said, her voice held a joking tone, "we're people just like you. Just... a little different. We ain't animals or nothin... well, you get my meaning."

Luna Arktone "Living and breathing in the flesh, kid." she said, and lifted her eyebrows. She held up her hand to him and let him watch as each finger, rather painfully, but she was used to it, turned a bit more clawlike. The skin rippled and the bones cracked. She grunted painfully, but let them grow until she felt her point was across. With a sigh of relief, she let it go back. "It'd be a bit more amazing if--" she cut herself off. "Never mind not your problem." she smiled at him before tipping another shot down her throat. She had had shot after shot after shot, but her metabolism didn't allow her to get drunk very drunk very fast. She was only beginning to feel buzzed.

Luna Arktone "Well, y'know, not an easy life being different, is it?" she asked and shrugged her shoulders. She crossed one long leg behind the other, still standing at the bar. "And thanks," she said and let out another bark of a laugh, "Not many people would use the word lovely toward me."

She turned her head around when someone asked for their attention. "Maelik?" she repeated back to the stranger, "Never heard of 'im, but I'm a stranger here, so... I dunno. Might want to try again later, boss." she turned her body back to Elijah.

Luna Arktone "See ya, kid. I'll be around." she promised and watched as he left. "Have a good birthday," she called after him as he walked out the door and returned to her drink, pondering quietly.

Luna Arktone "Calm down, man." she said, and turned her head behind her to look at the stranger that she had seen before. "He won't mess with me," she said with confidence but heard the pleading tone in his voice, "and if he does, well. Okay fine, if it makes you feel better, I'll get outta here." She knocked back the last of the whiskey shots before beginning her trek out the door.

Luna Arktone "Shit, my jacket," she said, realizing she had forgotten, Luna walked back in the front door of the bar and crossed the threshhold. Her tank top was tight on her muscular torso, but it was way too cold out there for her heightened body temperature to enjoy it without a jacket. Just a quick dip in, grab, it and leave.

The voice stopped her as she pulled her jacket on over her shoulders. "Can I help you, boss?" she asked, resting one hand on her slender waist and raising her thin eyebrows at the stranger. "And if you please, could you go ahead and take your hands off the weapon. I'm pretty much unarmed if you didn't notice."

Luna Arktone "Yeah, well, it's late and I'm a little tipsy, so I forget things, and I'd like to leave. Is there something I can help you with...? What was your name again?" she asked. She wasn't sure who this guy was, or what he wanted from her, or if he was just trying to make conversation. She leaned against the bar and crossed one heavy booted leg over the other.

Luna Arktone "I'm Luna, pleasure to meetcha Logan, although I'll probably just keep callin' ya boss." she replied, returning his handshake in a just as firm, if not firmer, manner. "I'm feeling just fine, thank you," she replied. She wasn't an idiot, though, she knew something was up. "I get a fever sometimes when the moon's just right, dependin on the weather, all o' that. Got it from my daddy, I hear," she chuckled a little bit at her own joke, but of course he wouldn't understand, "But it should be gone in the next couple days. And why--" she asked curiously, "does my fever have anything to do with your security firm, may I ask?" she looked down at her arm, "Darlin' you can scan me til the cows come home, but you ain't gonna find nothin' besides trouble you keep pointing things like that at me."

Luna Arktone She didn't believe him for a moment, but she hadn't been able to figure out what he was actually doing, yet. Sure, she figured he suspected something about her. Most people did when they realized how heated she was. Her heightened sense of smell noticed something odd, too odd, about the air in front of her face and she moved. "Stuffy right here, ain't it?" she asked and moved to pick up the pack of cigarettes she had left as well. She brushed right by him when she did so, whispering, "Whatever you think you're doin, I suggest you stop. You're just lookin for trouble" in his ear.

Luna Arktone Luna was already sitting in the bar, in the corner, her legs propped up on a table, her hood over her head. She was dozing off, each exhale sounding like a growl and someone coming in through the door disturbed her. She sat up, listening to each bone in her body crack. The night before had been the full moon, and she was sore all over. She rolled her knuckles and cracked her neck before opening her tired eyes. What she saw disturbed her. A figure coming in the front door, and blood dripping on the ground. Hm. Blood? She stood up from her seat when she realized who it was and rushed over to Elijah. "Kid?" she asked, crouching down beside him. "What the hell happened to you?!"

Luna Arktone "Well shit," she said, "Well what the blazes do I do? Where's there a hospital 'round here?" She reached down and pressed her hands to the wound on his chest before pulling off her outer green flannel shirt, and wrapping it tightly around his chest. It staunched the flow of blood just a little bit, but not enough to make it stop bleeding through her shirt. She wiped her hand on her forehead, leaving a streak of blood there.

Luna Arktone "You don't want to bother me? C'mon kid, you think I'm gonna just leave you here?" she asked and took the med kit from his hands when he collapsed back to where they had been. "What do I do?" she asked, and propped her cigarette between her teeth. She had never really had to use one of these before. She kind of just healed on her own.
