History

Mackenzie is an android construct. She will never age and she will never die from age.

Created by an american scientist at the beginning of WWII, she was built to be the perfect spy and perfect soldier. Strong, powerful, and unassuming. The android soon became a superhero among the citizens known simply as the 'American Solider'. She didn't have a costume but she had a trademark bomber jacket that she wore all the time. Later during the war, there was the Creation of the 'Watchmen'. She was an occasional help to them, but overall she vowed to never actually join the team. Time passed and eventually life called to each one, calling them away to where ever it took them. She watched over all of them, even gaining publicity every one in a while, but overall as time passed, she made it a point to fade away.

When the new Watchmen rose up, she made it a point to warn them that their lives would all get them killed. It all came to pass the year of 1985. A year that has always been bitter to her.

20 something years later, she opted to take the voyage to find a new world. She did and she became part of Planet Terra and all it's Earth-like nature and people, for the most part. There were a lot of strange beings that she eventually came across. Now she knows just about everything about every kind of creature that walks the planet. Meanwhile, she used her massive technological skills to acquiring a job as a mechanic for all the robots that roam the planet.

So begins...

Mackenzie Leo's Story

Mackenzie Leo scratched the back of her head before she shoved open the doors to the bar. She had had a very long night already and hadn't gotten any sleep. Her blue eyes were sagging with fatigue and her body was no different. In fact, right now the only thing she wanted was something with caffeine and alcohol. Mac rubbed her eyes and yawned, a slow saunter leading her over to the bar. Her systems were absolutely aching. "Last night I pull an all nighter for anyone," she said. She brushed back her brown hair and dropped with a kind of heavy thud on a barstool. "Hey," she called out tiredly to the robot Bartender that was currently working. "Irish Coffee with good Whiskey, don't give me any of that baliey's crap," she demanded. The android female crossed her arms on the counter, a small cough, and put her head down on them. She awaited her noxious brew.

Mackenzie Leo took hold of her irish coffee in hand once it had been made and it had come to her. The frothy whipped cream on top, the minty smell. Fantastic, just what she needed to calm her nerves. Mac then arched a brow when someone directed a question towards her(Dinaeus). She ignored them for the moment as she took a spoonful of the whipped cream and ate it. She savoured the taste before she took the spoon and began stirring up the coffee. His question, wondering if she spoke to herself every day, she found kind of amusing.

"I just have a pension for intelligent conversation," she said. The android female finished stirring her coffee and brought the hot drink to her lips. She closed her eyes as she took a sip, letting the burning alcohol and the warm flow inside her body. It was a dream come true for her. After working all night on a rush job, at least she was able to sit back and relax. That is, if she was no longer bothered by anyone. In hindsight though, that was probably never going to happen.

Mac set down her coffee and rubbed her eyes. Now that she thought of it, a bit of conversation might actually do her some good by helping her stay awake. She was having a hard time staying upright as it was. Maybe there was a little part of her that did want some company, just as long as they weren't about to lecture her on anything.

Mackenzie Leo was quickly amused with the man's notion of 'Intelligent conversation'. How sad. She may have been one to talk to herself, but she wasn't about to talk to something she didn't even know the origin of. She knew the origin of humans, she knew the origins of almost every known species that inhabited the planet and more importantly, the city. The android paid little attention to the thing, as the man had called it, and Returned her attention to her irish coffee.

Mac was by no means a looker, so there was no cause for anyone to come up to her, nor was she entirely a nice person. Easy going didn't always translate into 'nice and kind', it just meant she wasn't about to argue for any reason. There was actually absolutely no reason for anyone to talk to her.

However, her equilibrium was off again as the fatigue still continued to set in. Blasted human functions. Sometimes she wished she hadn't been created so human. It was really a major buzzkill. Mac got up, having to steady herself against the bar and she walked away from the odd man and the... whatever it was.. that he was talking to. She took her drink to a nearby booth and sat down. She propped her feet up on the table, putting her hands behind her head in order to keep it up and to keep her head from resting against the wall. No telling what kinds of creature guts were splattered on the wall, even since the bar was just rebuilt last week. Violence was a disease around these parts. Everyone always thinks they need to flex their muscles, show off and use their powers just because they had them. There was a line some where, wasn't there? Oh yes. "With great power comes great responsibility," she muttered through a yawn.

What a bunch of idiots.

Mackenzie Leo was sitting in at her own table, having arrived some time before but had remained silent, suddenly found herself face to face with a flying cup of coffee. The hot cup smacked her in the face, knocking her practically out of her chair, and flat on her ass. She growled without any hesitation, standing up quickly. She looked quite ridiculous while coffee stained.

Her face was wearing the nice imprint of red from the cup smacking her forehead. She hadn't been too far from where a young male (Morbin) just suddenly appeared, literally out of nowhere. "Who the hell threw that?!" the brunette cried out.

Mackenzie Leo picked up the now cracked coffee mug that was on the ground, throwing it back in the direction it came from. Her arm was pretty good as it was. "Blasted... apperating little..." she grumbled. She was coffee soaked and there was no way she way she was going to be able to get her clothing clean. Not unless someone happened to be a coffee bender or had some sort of gizmo to fix it.

"Fantastic," Mac spat in sarcasm. She began to dab the coffee away from her face, her shirt dripping with the dark brown liquid. She grabbed several more napkins before she stalked off, pushing anyone out of her way, to go get herself cleaned up in one of the newly rebuilt rooms upstairs. She had recently lost her own home, so, she was in fact staying in the said room. Mac continued her stalking, and sulking over her ruined clothes and slammed her door behind her.

Mackenzie Leo ran her fingers through her wet hair. She managed to get herself cleaned up and changed into a different set of clothing. Of course, the obvious think to be to get out of the coffee stained clothing she was wearing before. She had little to no sense of taste, so she often bough multiple items of clothing. Mac cracked her knuckles upon coming back down into the bar.

The woman reached up and rubbed her eyes. She was still exhausted, but a nap earlier had made a bit of a difference. Mac returned to the bar, dropping herself in seat on a barstool, her fingers drumming on the countertop. "mmm Wheat beer for now," she told the Robotic Bartender that usually tended to the place. Moments later, she got her requested beverage. Mac picked up the glass and turned around to look at the crowd. "Doesn't look like I'm missing much tonight," she said inwardly.

Mackenzie Leo was wandering the streets of Wing City. She had nothing better to do with her time tonight. She had no friends which to hang out with and she was off work for the night. Perhaps she had nothing better to do than start blowing stuff up. In fact, blowing stuff up sounded quite fun. Mac had had one hell of a day at work.

Her boss was a typical pig, so there was that to deal with. The men around these parts were either pigs or pansies. That and all the sappy crap floating around about 'love'. It was more than enough to make her feel ill. She growled inwardly, then charging her hands with a reddish energy before she fired it at a fountain nearby, blowing the thing to smithereens and sending water sky high.

Mackenzie Leo was still standing near the fountain. It was still standing somewhat. Mac wasn't going to be happy with her destruction until the thing was basically ash. The smell of the plastic from the cheap tile and plastic parts just seemed to make her more aggravated. The large chested female raised both of her hands and shot another large blast at the fountain, returning it more to rubble than before. She continued to fire until there were pebbles in the crater she created. "Well... that almost made me feel better," she replied, pulling her headband from her hair and melting that in her hand into a pile of black goop.

Mackenzie Leo turned her head towards the direction of the voice. She was dusting her hands off. "What the hell are 'parents'?" she asked. As an android type, she had never heard of such a word in that context. She brushed her hand through her long locks of hair and then pocketed her hands. "You don't have to worry about being blown to smithereens. I was just amusing myself for the moment," she said. She was even being sprayed with water at this point from the fountain, but she didn't act like she particularly cared.

Mackenzie Leo looked at the man solidly. She wiggled her nose a little in thought as she looked at him hard. "5'7" Elven Halfbreed... probably one with a dual identity," she said. She had only analyzed this because his build was Elven, a few strands of hair were peeking out from under his cowl that were elven in colour, but what he was doing suggested half breed. The mask definitely shouted dual identities at her. She shook her head slightly at the magical items. "My name is Mac," she replied to his greeting, a nonchalant wave following.

Mackenzie Leo looked to the man oddly. "Well then, I've heard stranger names," she said. "And no, I'm no spell caster," she started, "I've just seen everything this universe has to offer in the way of sentient beings." She then furrowed her brows, "Though the intelligence is debatable." She then took a few steps forward, she was quick so she was quickly in front of this elven man. "Mind if you pull your mask up so I can actually hear you without it being muffled?" she asked.

Mackenzie Leo chuckled. "I said in the way of people. I said nothing of miracles," she replied, raising a brow. Mac was a bright woman who knew her way around just about every creature possible of being thrown at her. She had no such thing as mind reading abilities, just a good ability of reading someone's actions, their body language. "So, what exactly are you doing in Wing City?" she asked, crossing her arms.

Mackenzie Leo suddenly reached out and pulled the cowl from his head. "Then you won't need this," she replied, "Everything else, but a mask? No. It is dishonorable to wear a mask in the face of an enemy," she stated. Using the words she did, she made it almost sound like a capital offense to wear a mask.

Mackenzie Leo was sitting in a chair, lounging about. "Yup, another batshit crazy night," the android said. She pulled out a cigarette and lit it. Mackenzie Leo walked into the bar, her hands occupied with an oil rag. "Stupid machines," she muttered to herself as she walked up to the bar. She noticed the puddle on the floor from the rain, but that didn't really bother her much. Finding the source, did. "You know, you're going to make someone slip and break their neck or something if you keep leaving puddles everywhere," the android said to Dracus.

"Gimme a brandy!" she ordered from the bar keeper, whether it was the usual robotic or an actual person this time.

Mackenzie Leo laughed slightly. "Isn't it a little obvious?" she said, "I fix most of these droids." She reached over and knocked on the back of the tender droid. "People go through these things like crazy around here, everyone with their ridiculous superpowers that they think they have to turn on the bar."
