Madeline's big blue eyes are infamous for staring into a non existent, yet endless abyss. She never smiles. Children learn by imitation, and her emotionless "father" gave her nothing to imitate...emotionally. She never gets aggressive, sad, angry or even shows signs of teenage angst...until she has a "black out." During these episodes, she is completely manic and unaware of what she is doing. She may kill or destroy, or she may create destructive forces in the laboratory she calls "home." Since she has never seen the outside, or any human aside from her father, she doesn't know anything about human interaction. He doesn't love her, and she doesn't love him. When she finds him dead one morning, lying in a pool of his own blood, she doesn't think twice.
However, an obvious lack of emotion does not accompany a lack of intelligence. She reads, writes and studies far more than the average teenager and finds science compelling. Her favorite is person in the known universe is Carl Sagan. She has only read his scientific texts, but is able to derive his personality and passion for science. The passion is something she finds interesting, even loses herself for hours thinking about because it is so different from everything she knows. Understanding humans is her driving force.
Powers of telekinesis and telepathy grow ever stronger as Madeline advances from the lab (where her brain is limited and monitored by machinery) into the world. Her brain contains an extra section just above where the cortex is located in a human brain. This part controls her telekinesis and telepathy, however, when the chip from the lab is in place, this section only controls her "blackouts." It works like a strange, primal instinct, killing those who would be a danger to her. When she leaves the lab, the chip isn't able to get a signal because it was created on a short rage frequency. This allows it to be untraceable from above.
Madeline Grey is the first human to be completely cloned using alien technology. Her DNA is half Nordic alien and half human, though she believes it to be pure human. Human cloning, at this time, is completely illegal...even in Area 51. She was created in the basement of Area 51 by Dr. Robert Grey. He is the only human she has ever seen, though she has read the scientific literature of others. An extended experiment is being performed using her. Humans want to study alien behavior, growth and development without having to capture a Nordic, because the Nordic's are the most advanced alien species known to mankind. They do not invade or wreak havoc on humanity. They are peaceful observers of our kind and never have cruel intentions. Human top government officials know they are observing, and Dr. Grey has violated a contract by creating Madeline, because the Nordic's are quite powerful without the malevolence of humanity. Human malevolence combined with Nordic telekinesis and telepathy power could create an uproar in society and cause the Nordic's to be discovered by the rest of humanity. Aside from that, Nordics are not here to interfere with human evolution or engineer a new species.
