Groups

Informer, question pusher, answer demander, truth seeker.

Description

Malcom Piers stands a little below six feet, has a muscular build and a few scars on his body, excluding his face which is neatly shaved. He has long brown hair that doesn't quite go past his ears and a carries set of reddish brown eyes underneath thick brown eye brows.

Personality

Piers is a peaceful and very understanding person. He never attacks without reason and would actually rather not attack anyone at all. He hates death and its obvious the subject pains him just to think about taking another life, but he will not hesitate to do what needs to be done. His patience and understanding, at times, is his greatest weapon and uses it to his advantage in both verbal and physical disputes. Occasionally, his verbal disputes contain a comedian sense to them, which will possibly cause you to laugh from time to time.

Equipment

Piers likes to go easy with his looks and not appear to much like a sore thumb that sticks out in the crowd. He keeps a dark jacket on almost all the time unless he is sleeping or about to get in a fight. He wears jeans and a pair of hiking boots because he likes the comfort they give to his rough, callused feet. At his hip hangs a small laser pistol which is small and out of the way, so hardly anybody notices it.

In his slight aging, Piers hasn't changed much. His attire is the same on his off days, but when he's seeking truth Piers prefers to look a bit more professional. His gun is now completely concealed. He knew better than to carry a weapon slung like that at his age.

History

Malcom David Piers was born into a rich diplomatic family who planned to immerse him in politics and make him a well known senator. His father taught him of a secret strength within himself that all humans have but hardly ever believe in. His mother taught him patience and how to take one step at a time in life so things don't become over too whelming. Everything seemed going according to plan until age 16 when Malcom was given a different view on things. He realized that politics was not only his parents' job, but it was their ruler. For example, if killing an innocent boy was politically correct, they would do it. But Malcom didn't want to turn into that, he didn't want to live like a prime minister's pet. He would rather follow his common sense than politics. So at age 18, two years after his new point of view, he stole a large amount of money from his parents and used it to buy a ship off earth. As time went by, he grew more familiar with things outside of earth and how to make a living. He became a mercenary, accepting and completing jobs that went anywhere from being a guard on a trade shipment to rescue missions deep in space. That's what he plans to do till the day he dies or grows too old to continue the jobs. Mercenary till death.

That's what he planned to do, until one day they came across a planet in trouble. A planet that needed a hero. This planet reminded him of everything he came from, everything he rebelled against, and made him realize everything he had become.
He couldn't be that hero, but he vowed to try and find whoever it was.

So begins...

Terra, good evening. Malcom David Piers reporting live from the Wing City Government Center.
I'm here tonight with Munkustrap, who has big dreams for Wing City. Tell us, Munkustrap, what is it that brought your eye to this place of turmoil?

Thanks for having me. well lets see. First off it was Mistos fault. But there was also the clear fact of no private eye businesses other then accountants and lawyers in the city.

So your plans in Wing City are personal interest gone entrepeneural cause?

Something like that yeah. Well sorta.

Please, our viewers are very interested to know.

Well, it was mostly Irn Bru, that's Mt Dew Live Wire in fact. And some green elephants and purple monkeys. Why humans look like purple monkeyes I will never know Actually I blame Misto for that. Anyway. It was mostly a joint decision between myself and my partner who is really good at hiding when the news come around.

I see. As a private eye, surely you already have your fair share of opposition to your endeavors, ha. In what way do you see your business benefitting the city the most?

Better drivers, and better bar service. And yes, more then our fair share of opposition to our opening two days ago. Just this morning the mailman chucked the mail in through the busted front window instead of using the mailbox, which ironically was what busted the front window.

Well, this city is certainly not known for citizens who keep their opinions quiet, ha hah! I digress. Better drivers would mean safer roads for all, and I don't know of many men who would complain about better bar service, hah! When do you plan on putting your plan into action?

Yes why just the other day, the day I arrived in town actually, I was nearly hit by a parked car. The owner of the car was in stitches. He'll be out next tuesday. Well you try going into a bar, ordering a drink, then never getting the drink because the barkee was either hiding in a duracrete bunker or shot dead or slam drunk. But then again it could have been the green elephants that got him too. Unless it was the purple monkeys. Well the plan was to open yesterday, but my partner was out.

When exactly can Wing City expect the debut of the ah, Misto & Munkus Detectives & Magic School? Very unfortunate about those incidents, if that's the daily in Wing City then there sure is room for change, hah!

Yes that's right, Misto and Munkus, Misto is my partner, we're planning on the offical debut to be as soon as my partner is sober and out of rehab. Heh, I believe the car owners exact words were 'Clod kicking sock sucking animal' Or maybe it was 'Sock kicking clod sucking animal', I don't remember. All I remember was clobbering the guy into next friday. And that's just a joke the debut is this coming Tuesday. Tomorrow I believe.

Ha hahhhh, yes! You heard it here folks. Traffic reform is finally here! It's been a wonderful opportunity to be able to interview you, Munkustrap.

... Or maybe it was 'clod socking, kick clocking animal ?' No that's not right... Oh yes, Thanks for having me.

Don't forget, tomorrow opens the Misto & Munkus Detectives & Magic School, right here in Wing City! Tune in for live coverage! I'm Mmmmalcom David Piers, TERRACAST , Over to you.

The television in the corner had a sudden change of tone. Instead of harshly speaking politicians, the soothing voice of a man came through the turned down speakers. On the screen was the man to suit the voice, sitting along side a cat. The two appeared to be conversing in a beautiful media hall. They must have been in the Wing City Government Center, and this was obviously an interview.

Certain words would break through the mush mesh and chatter, to anyone who was relatively interested in the going ons of Wing City.

"...etter drivers, and better bar service....This city is certainly not known for it's citizens who...it could have been the green elephants...of the ah, Misto & Munkus Detectives & Magic School...this coming Tuesday. Tomorrow I believe...Traffic reform...TERRACAST"

The screen then faded into a commercial for Zinga Pop, so good it's refreshing.

“ Good evening Terra, this is Malcom David Piers, with TERRACAST.

Last night, the infamousGambit's Bar was subject to a terrorist attack. Patrons of the bar took cover under tables and hid, few able to escape unscathed.
The terrorists opened fire into the bar, with the intent to kill all non humans.

The NPA, was quick to arrive, immediately taking on terrorist bombs. A firefight emerged, many non-human citizens taking to defensive arms. According to witnesses, suicide bombers were among the ranks of terrorists.

Fortunately the situation was contained. TheWing City Police department showed and saved the day. Despite this there were many injuries, but few casualties. Frequent customers of Gambit's voiced their distaste at the scene of the crime, and many seem disturbed by the random attack.

Is Gambit's bar a safe location, and more importantly, is the supernatural citizen of Wing City safe?

“ Malcom David Piers here, reporting live from Gambit's Bar.

Much to the array of many citizens and local barflies, the bar is closed for fumigation. However, it is said to be reopening soon. We can't get an exact quote here at TERRACAST, but- ”

Malcom David Piers arose from the rubble. He scanned the scene, noticing his cameraman dead.

Now was not the time for tears. Now was the time for news.

He grabbed the camera, bleeped it on, and aimed it at his face.

 “ Wing City....Terra...Avoid Gambit's Bar.

Here on the scene, they were about to fumigate. The bar, an infestation, then a bomb or something. It all happened so fast, there was a boom, there was a flash-

We were downed, ladies and gentlemen.

Terrorists, in Wing City, yet again. Who are they, where did they come from?
New aliens, was that what saved us?

So far, there are at least two casualties.
An unfortunate day,
Stay tuned. ”

"Witnesses?"

It took Malcom a moment, to even bother aiming the camera at them. His cameraman had just died, and he was used to someone doing this for him. It was heavy.

Propping it on some rubble, Malcom pressed a few buttons and aimed it at a well lit spot. A booth, to be precise, one that would indicate intimacy, but still show a bit of the rest of the place. Show some rubble. Cinematography. He studied that in college.

"Malcom David Piers," He threw on his most charming smile, holding back vomit himself. It smelled like death in here, but he wasn't about to turn down this kinda press.

"Take a seat and give your account! You say reverence? Who are they? Tell the people what they need to know!"

"Interesting," Malcolm heaved the camera to catch some of the interesting footage. There were medics running about, moving away bodies and doing medic things, what appeared to be police trouting about investigating. Ha'la'tha! Disruptor II?

He took the picture, and nodded at the eyewitness, fishing his card from his pocket and handing it over. Part of Malcolm wondered why he ever moved here.

"Munkus!" He shouted over the fray, "Do you have a closing statement?"
