Mari Warrant The girl sat on the ruins, on top of a highrock and kicked her legs. On her lap she had a notebook, and the other she was spinning a mechanical pencil quickly, looking out into the sunset. The bleached white paper held a rather long complicated looking mathematical with more unknown values than anything else. The entire page was marked with hastily scrawled notes pointed to certain values. Mari sighed and adjusted her headphones once again, listening to the oddly calming music. The lone figure turned back to her note pad and jotted down something else, before her face brightened up and she began to write more down.

Mari Warrant jumps and turns around to the void. She sees the arm pull through the portal and backs up scrambles away from it. As she backs away she starts flipping through the pages of her notebook frantically, trying to see if she had accidentally summoned some creature from beyond. Once she heard the voice, she became paralyzed in fear and gaped at the putrid claw.

Mari Warrant gaped and blinked at the odd side. She wasn't totally sure what had just transpired, and was starting to feel she wouldn't for as long as she existed. She tried to force herself to move, or talk or give at least some indication she wasn't dead. Eventually all that came out was a vague sound of surprise. She could feel one hand quaking, and the other clenched so tight, that she could swear she felt blood on her fingers. She had dealt with summonings before, but she never had never managed to summon more than just an Imp. After what felt like an eon to Mari, she finally tilted her head to one side, and shut her jaw.

Mari Warrant "M-Me? I am... uh." She didn't know what this man was, a demon? A demi-god? A god? She couldn't guess and finished up her phrase with a, "Sir." She managed to unfreeze herself and began to inch to her satchel slowly, trying to be as polite as possible, and to not turn her back onto the arrival. There was something vaguely familiar about the... 'man', but she couldn't quite put her finger on it. "I'm sorry if I intruded upon you territory, Sir." She continued speaking, keeping her voice as even as possible, despite the fact she was near screaming on the inside.

Mari Warrant forced a grin back at him, and she hoped it seemed at least semi-convincing. "Yes, Sir." She said quietly and moved got down on her knees next to the satchel and tried to tuck her notebook back into it. "Sir, If I may take my leave now?" She bowed down low Kalzadin, and tried to be as forgetable as possible.

Mari Warrant looked at the odd being again and nodded. "Of course, Sir. I came here seeking peace and quiet, to work on a formula..." She trailed off and looked at him, and this time actually smiled back. For all the insanity and magic the being put off, he was quite friendly. For some odd reason Mari reconsidered herself shrugged. "If it would please your Sir, I could stay to give you company?"

Mari Warrant smiled back at him, blinked as he vanished. As Kalzadin reappeared so close to her she jumped and fell onto her back. As she hit the ground she let out a 'ompf' and closed her eye, blushing a little bit. She hoped Kalzdin wouldn't mind her accident and forced herself back into sitting position. "I-uh... My apologies, Sir."

Mari Warrant smiled and nodded again, "Thank you, Sir." The girl blinked as Kalzadin asked his question, "Yes, Sir. My name is Mari Warrant, but how did you know?" She inquired. Something struck her as that this man was extremely powerful.

Mari Warrant heard the odd music, it sounded like singing. She loved the ruins, they were for the most part quiet, and they had a great variety of symbols and runes, purposes for which she wasn't sure, but the Sigilist enjoyed experimenting with. The pull of the unearthly tongue entranced her and she pushed through the ruins. A constant shifting glow emerged from a rather tiny looking door way. The music came from there and she followed it, peering into the door way carefully.

Mari Warrant stared at the odd hybrid creatures spewing forth and shiver. This was either extremely powerful summoning, or something of a completely different league. The Alchemist continued to watch, obscured by the door frame. She recognized the being as Kalzadin, from the previous night and blinked.

Mari Warrant blinks at the warping man, and when he looks at her she hides a little bit more behind the door frame. Without a second thought, she reaches into her satchel, and produces some parchment and the fountain pen. She scratches a few quick symbols onto the parchment, then balls it up and hides it in her hand. The rune's were a powerful looking summoning circle, but all of them could be broken rather easily.

Mari Warrant hide behind the door and shivered as she saw the Kogs, with out hesitance she threw the wadded up piece of paper at the one of the Kogs. It was a banishment sigil, basically meant to 'unsummon' any lesser creature. She quickly turn the corner, forgetting the other figure then to run from the Kogs, instead she dead on sprinted at the Kalzadin.

Mari Warrant blinked as she was caught and stopped dead. She turned to Kalzadin, and stopped trying to run. "I'm sorry, I just was.. It's That I'm here alot... Sir." She looked up at him, truly frightened. How she had yet to scream and break down sobbing was a miracle.

Mari Warrant let out a soft whimper, "I...I Used a banishment sigil is all. I didn't even notice any wards about, I was just drawn to the music of this place." She looked around to all the runes. She whimpered again and closed her eyes from it, before remembering to say sir she squeaked it out, "Sir.."

Mari Warrant felt herself being embraced and blushed rather deeply. "I've um...I've been alright,Sir. And yourself?" She wanted to kick herself for calling him 'Sir' again. Still it was better to be too polite than too informal when dealing with otherworldly beings. She paused and thought out exactly how she ended up in this situation.

Mari Warrant blinked at the odd man again and nodded. "You keep mentioning the void, perhaps I should ask. Are you a Void Walker?" She sits down with him and places her satchel upon her lap, and begins pulling out the grimiore that she was currently carrying with her.

Mari Warrant felt a bit irritated at being laughed at. She cut him off short. "Oh, well you were wondering about Sigils?" She opened the grimore up to a page with a complex combination of what appeared to be Japanese Kanji, Runic Celtic and Odd Swirls. "This is basically I symbol used to concentrate the powers of the earth, and when used in combination it creates effects. Think of them as a magical magnet?" This was the best way to explain them.

Mari Warrant shrugged and smiled, "Well, yes and no." She shrugged and flipped through the grimiore some more until she came to halt on one of the final, pages of the volume. All the characters were riduclously tiny, end even then they took up the entire page. "Humans still are having trouble with the void, this is the simplest spell to attract Void Walkers to your summoning circle, not even a full blown summon." She frowned and closed the grimiore. "Still, we have come a long way. Have you heard of alchemy?"

Mari Warrant blinked at the sheer amount of Voidwalkers he summoned with ease. "Whoa..." She dug through her satchel, again pulling out her notebook, opening it to the formula she was working on yesterday. "This is modern alchemy, its used to transform current objects into something else. This is a formula for turning water into wine. I'm missing too many of the key transmutations through, what in water can be used to make the sacchirides of wine, I don't know."

Mari Warrant looked down at the spell and blinked. They were all foreign to her and she shook her head. "Okay.." She should probably know better, but she set about the chalk she had in her satchel ,recreating the runes onto the ground in a circle around her.

Mari Warrant watched as this happened, normally when one was summoned they begged for a freedom of the bond, this one wanted to be bound to her. She did it, she summoned a Voidwalker with barely any effort. A mad chuckled emerged from her lips. "Sevtarious, Voidwalker, I call you into my bonds and into my service. I compact with you, and the price of the broken compact is your banishment to the Netherrealm!" ShThe summoner raised a hand to her mouth and bit her finger hard enough to draw blood, then smeared her finger over the circle, sealing the deal with the Voidwalker.

turned in his direction, obviously gleeful."I did it! I did it!" She felt like hoping around, she had summon from the void, a place of eternal darkness. This was a rariyy even for the gretest of Sigilist. "The void calls for me?" She tilted her head to the side to look at him.

Mari Warrant looked back at Kalzadin and nodded, "So.. I'm powerful?" She asked him and then flushed her her cheek was nuzzled. The young sigilist felt powerful for once, as if she could control others. To complement Kalzadin's odd joy, she herself began to cackle manically, finally she had gotten somewhere, no more petty formulas, no more petty Imps, she could control Voidwalkers now...

Mari Warrant blinked obviously confused at the Voidling's antics. "Sir, I should be thanking you." She bowed low, but still she had a crazy gleam to her eyes.
