Megildur often wears this when hunting, but otherwise his regular clothes. Many soldiers have leaves attached to their hoods and capes to aid in blending.

So begins...

Megildur opened one eye, "eh, not quite." He said, sitting up again. He squinted his eyes as a few rays of light crossed into his vision. He then slid out of his hammock and stretched, "I trust you slept well?" He asked, sliding his sword into it's sheath. He then stretched his arms and leaned on one of the pillars.

Megildur scratched his head and followed her out. He saw a group of hunters dragging a large boar into the meat shop. They had probably fetched quite the price for that animal. He then looked up and grinned as he saw no clouds in the sky.

Megildur thought for a moment, "Yes, it's not too much, but it's enough." He said, pointing towards a small clearing. A few young elves could be heard striking metal and grunting.

Megildur shrugged, "I'm unsure, they're a new class and the Master Hunter has been away for the great hunt." He said, taking a step in that direction. "Would you like to go see them?" he asked, follow her.

Megildur lead her through the tree line to a few beat up dummies. One of the dummies was wearing some thin metal armor, but otherwise they where destroyed. A few young elves sliced and did battle with the inanimate objects.

The young elves watched in amazement as the woman diced the dummy. One of them tilted his head slightly, confused as to how she strung her movements together with such grace. The youngest looking one pulled his helmet up so he could watch in more detail.

The forest creaked eerily around Mansaigo. The branches rustled in the light winds that ran quietly through the forest. A small black rat scurried across the small opening that Mansaigo had landed in, and an owl flew silently overhead. A wolf howled loudly off near the mountains in the distance. The elves of The Dark Woods had been in the newspaper a few days ago, as they had a run-in with some unfortunate hunters. They where the things of stories that parents told their children to make them go to bed at night. They where rarely seen by anyone who lived. And they just happened to be surrounding Mansaigo at this very moment. The thick scent of blood would fill the air, masking the elves scent.

Shouts and screams could be heard from the small elven village. An elf shot through a tree and skidded to a stop. He grabbed his large wound and laid back slowly. Megildur skidded through the door of a ruined building and then ran back out only to see another elf thrown. Lucas Whitt stood in the clearing, and shouted, "You shouldn't have upset me, elves!" He then laughed loudly and pointed at an elf. The elf let out a shout and then was sent backwards through the air. Megildur charged him and then was sent flipping into the near by bushes.

Megildur knelt down to the deer he had just shot with an arrow. He pulled the aroow out of the creature and placed it gently on the grass. The elf scanned over the deer and placed a hand on it's side. After muttering a few things in native elven he picked up the deer and began to walk through the forest. It appeared as if he'd make noise carrying all of the small creatures on his belt, and the deer across his shoulder. Though, with some strange grace he moved through the underbrush silently, like a snake through water.

He paused at a small trail, and placed the deer reverently down on the ground and sat down. He removed his small pack and removed some fruits, and roots which he ate quietly. A few things he had gathered while hunting. Mostly apples, berries, and a few different roots that he could eat. A few small squirrels and such scampered by as if he weren't there.

The elf un-crossed his legs, and held out a berry to the dog. He hadn't seen many dogs, and perhaps it wouldn't attack him like those human hunter's dogs do if he acted friendly. He looked at it for a moment, and realized that he could see through it slightly. Perhaps it was a phantom. Well, then it was even smarter to be kind to phantoms as they often cause good fortune.

He bobbed it slightly in front of the dog, hoping that it would take it. His bow laid silently on the grass next to him, and he made sure not to move towards it or make it look that he was in any way going for a weapon. The elf's ears twitched slightly, recovering from the loud sound a moment ago.

The elf watched quietly as all of this went about. He slowly packed his berries back into the satchel, and stood, collecting his bow and arrows. He held out his hand to her, holding a berry. He was sure she probably hadn't seen a real elf, out in the forest and was probably out here to train where she wouldn't be disturbed. He held out a berry that he did not put back into the small bag, "Berry?" He asked, holding it out to her.

She appeared to have been summoning those dogs, or were they dogs? Perhaps they were ghosts that she controlled, or maybe some kind of doppelganger. It was probably the first one, but Megildur liked to explore all possibilities.

The berry he held in his hand was fat at the bottom, and grew thinner until it became the stem. It was called a Fironberry, the plants only grow up near places were blood has been spilled, so naturally they grow almost everywhere on Terra. He had long slender fingers, and pale soft skin.

Megildur withdrew his hand, and nodded to her, "Yes, I am an elf." He verified, taping the points of his ears. A light wind blew some leaves across the trail, and he placed his hand on his own hip.

"I am Megildur, and you are?" He asked, adjusting his vest. He looked up at the setting sun, and then back to the girl, giving her time to answer. He didn't know human customs, or traditions, so he tried to keep greetings simple.

The elf looked at her like he had been stung, "A w-w-wood elf? No, I'm sure I'm not a wood elf. I am just a regular elf, I suppose." He said, scratching the back of his head. He had grown up hearing that wood elves hid in the woods at night and if he were to sneek out to the city then he'd get kidnapped.

He then cocked his head at her, "I live out here, of course." He said, gesturing to the forest. He almost added a bit about the village, but he realized that humans shouldn't know about the village. Only other elves. Or dragons. Good dragons were preferred, though they were known to tell most humans the locations to things that should be hidden. Dragons in these parts are often radically evil, or radically good.

The small village sat snugly in a clearing in the woods, all of the small huts and tents settled around a ruined mansion. Within the mansion lived the leader of the elves, who went by the name Megildur. In the center of the clearing, several targets were set up and a few of the young elves were firing at it with their bows. All around, the village was busy doing their tasks. Some were collecting firewood and herbs, while others were carving bows. A large elf with a black beard sat silently under a grey colored tree, next to a forge where he was shaping a sword.

Megildur ambled outside, and watched the young men train. They had good form, but they needed to concentrate more. A breeze blew through the village, and the elves could smell a strange scent on the wind.

Arthion emerged from his tent with a bow in hand, "Archers, to the sky!" He shouted. He had seen the dragon flying clumsily through the flap in his tent. He drew back an arrow, and aimed quietly. The other archers did so in synchronization with their leader. They did not fire just yet, but they were ready for whatever the dragon may do. Gondien, the alchemic brains of the village smashed a Galderwood root and some Lilin stems into a powder and mixed it into a liquid. This was a powerful enough tranquilizer to take down a fully grown leviathan in a few seconds. He ran out to Arthion, and allowed him to dip his arrow tip into the mixture. Then at a movement of his head, the other archers relaxed their bows.

Arthion breathed in and out slowly, giving the dragon time to leave. The elves hated hurting animals, even if they were just putting them to sleep for a while. He sighed quietly, and then released the arrow sending it flying through the air.

Megildur, Arthion, and Rhovanion pushed through the bushes and came upon the fallen dragon and the girl. Rhovanion walked closer, "Are you injured?" He asked, his large black beard rising and falling with his jaw movements. Most elves cannot grow facial hair, but Snow Elves are different. They adapted to the cold of the mountains long ago. Arthion drew another arrow, and aimed at the girl in case she was a human hunter. They had pulled horrible tricks on the elves before and taken the lives of many good hunters that just wanted to help.

The three had not heard the girl cry out to the dragon. They all believed that it may have landed near her, and being an elf she went to care for it. Elves were naturally rather caring. At least the forest born ones were. City elves tended to be cut-throat and rude.

Arthion's cold eyes stared directly into hers. He kept the arrow trained on her. Rhovanion shook his head, "No, milady, he cause us no trouble. Arthion thought it best if we put 'im to sleep for a while. The arrow was blunted and covered with a strong tranquilizer." He said, steadying himself.

Megildur took a step forward, "I take it, the dragon is your student?" He asked, attempting not to demean the dragon by calling it a 'pet'. Dragon's can't always understand common, but they don't like being called a degrading name such as pet. Megilduer sheathed the long rapier he had been holding at his side, and Rhovanion slid his knives back into their belt. Arthion remained silent, and kept aiming. His friendly instincts had been hardened by years of human prize hunters.

Arthion blinked slowly, and let his bow relax. He slid the arrow back into his quiver, "Perhaps days." He said through his face mask. He then turned and returned to the village. He was followed by Rhovanion, but Megildur stayed.

"You're welcome to stay with us for the time that your dragon is asleep. It is our fault, and it would be disrespectful of us not to extend our hand to you." He said, gesturing towards the village.
