"There's only one thing in life I don't suck at, and that's flying."

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by The Hayknll Theory

Description

Melanie Storm, her last name is as good a description as any. A storm in the sky, but upon the ground, she's just a fog.

Mel's life has been interesting, to say the least. A member of the Dalian race, humanoids bred by slave traders for combat, Melanie Storm was born free upon a pirate ship, The Huntress. Raised by the captain and crew, Mel spent her life doing what her race was bred to do, fight, sleep, and fight some more. A bonus to her position was that she had more fun as a pirate than any Dalian had as a soldier. But while fighting and stealing was her job, her passion was flying. The Huntress was a Ragnarok, a fenrir class battleship built by an ancient race that locked it's secrets away with their passing, and only three of the ships still exist. It takes a special kind of pilot to fly a Ragnarok, they're designed with a integration system that functions much as a mental control unit, but instead of flying by thought, the pilot has to control the ship by heart and instinct. While many pilots can boast of instinctual skills, the Ragnarok is entirely different. The ship isn't designed to fly like a machine, but rather like a living, breathing creature. In order to fly it, the pilot has to be as if she is the ship, something that Melanie excelled at. Nothing made her happier than flying that ship.

But one day, her passion became her curse. The captain, a greedy man with little to no heart left for the world, plotted to sell his crew, the ship, and Melanie to the very traders who bred her race. An ambush planned by the captain almost succeeded, but Melanie was awoken by the ship. She attempted to fight the traders and escape, and only partially succeeded, during the assault her family, the crew, was slain, the captain sucked out the airlock, and The Huntress badly damaged.

She crash landed on a backwater dirtball called Earth, and was taken in by it's people. The ship, being of advanced technology beyond the understanding of any known life, quickly repaired itself, even as the traders descended to take the entire population of Earth as live stock. In the week before the traders arrived, Melanie made many friends upon that place, and as the slavers came to take them, Melanie took flight once more and sought to end the threat to her friends.

It is still unclear what exactly transpired, but the people of earth bore witness to a historic event. The beings who created the Ragnarok ships created them so as to become living creatures upon acquiring a "heart". It turns out that the "heart" The Huntress required was in fact Melanie, who was symbiotically fused to the ship. At that moment, Melanie Storm as she was, And the Huntress as it had been, ceased to be. They were replaced by a single entity, and as a result the true power of the ship was revealed. What had once been a simple space borne vessel had become a warrior, the ship transformed into a humanoid shape, and wielded weapons of energy and crystal.

Melanie destroyed the slavers and ran away from earth, seeking a place where a creature such as her could find understanding of what she was, and perhaps even find a purpose for her power.

So begins...

Melanie Storm smirks as he leaves, then shuts the face cover on her helmet before kneeling down and pulling something off her back, a small black disk, which she then plants on the hull. After a moment it extends and locks down before seemingly disappearing, and Melanie sets off walking along the hull until she's tromping along the front view screen of the ship. She stops there and scans it, as if looking to scan for the crew.

Melanie Storm smirks, then kicks off the glass and right into The Huntress, which suddenly appears in front of the Freighter. She flies into the dragons head, which opens it's maw to reveal teeth, actual teeth. She slips inside and the maw shuts, and then the ship is gone, releasing another shockwave as it passes into whatever transport it uses.

All is still in the black expanse of space. Suddenly, where once there was nothing, a corvette sized battleship slips from nothing, as though passing through an unseen veil. The ship is clearly a warship, accentuated by the large MachDrive Cannon sitting beneath the bulk of it's hull and the two weapon banks mounted near it's prow.

Four large afterburners, like the wings of a bird of prey, drive the ship forward through space as effortlessly as a fish through the sea. All in all, the red ship appears as dangerous as a predator.

Perhaps that is even what it is, a deadly and dangerous predator of the universe.

The red ship paused in the dead of space, then seemed to dematerialize and vanish. For a moment it would have registered on the scanners of the Cargo ship, but then it would be gone...

Or is it?

A moment after the flash, the red ship reappeared, seeming to form out of the very darkness of space. It hovered behind the Cargo ship, it's size dwarfing the smaller craft. The prow of the ship, an effigy of a dragon's head with a green gemlike structure behind the horns, opened it's maw, revealing a low green light from the depths. A moment later, a sound so close to the screeching of a hawk could be heard, but not in the depths of space... right?

Regardless, the ship had made it's presence known, and it's actions, to a linguistic analyzer, would be very clear: It was an animal staking it's claim of dominance over the area.

The dragons maw snapped shut, and it's eyes lit up with a bright green light. They then seemed to focus.... right.... on.... Godrage.

If it wasn't for the fact that it was surely a machine, you might think it was smiling at him. But before anything else, the warp in appeared, and the red ships green eyes refocused on it.

What seemed like a snarl would then emanate from all audio devices, regardless of encryption or protection. The Predator was not happy.

The ship suddenly roared again, and it's main gun charged up within moments. It then released a energy burst equivalent to a tight focused solar flare, capable of burning through the core of a black hole. In addition, the beam also acted as the propellant for a 300 pound depeleted uranium sabot round. The high density shot, combined with the high energy blast, would punch through a planet made of diamond. It is a weapon designed for a single purpose, to end a fight before it can even begin.

As the round was released, the afterburners spread out to reduce the knockback from the recoil, even so the great warship was sent backward a full length.

From within the red ship, it's captain and pilot gritted her teeth and glared at the rhombus. "Tia I don't know what your issue is with them, but I do NOT like it here." She closed her eyes and sent a signal, and from what would seem to be solid black discs on the body of the ship, the black would burst out like a splash and several bird like mechanoids flew out towards Godrage. They would attempt to grab him and drag him off of the ship, back towards it's mouth, which now opened wide.

He would be right, as the mech's dragged him into the maw of the ship and the jaws closed around him, putting him safely inside.

Now the full attention of the ship was on the oddity before it.

Melanie Storm growled, the sound echoed by the ship. "the hell you are."

The red ship darted forward, covering the distance between it and it's prey within a single moment. As it did so, the forward weapon banks disengaged and unset from the body, before an odd energy, flowing like a liquid, interconnected the peices and formed them into a pair of arms, with which the ship would reach through the space where the diamond had just been, grabbing hold of space itself and tearing open a rift to follow the ship.

The great red roared once more, causing a reaction with the warped space before it, solidifying and stablizing it. "YOUR NOT GETTING AWAY FROM ME!" The pilot roared as the ship slipped after the Diamond.

It seemed everything was silent while Luke talked with Melanie storm. Only after her departure did the endless sea of Taiyou ships stir, the men would likely find their FTL Systems jammed, inoperative, and a series of computer viruses messing with their navigation and engine systems.

With the constant bombardment of computer programs, and a strange energy net cast over their ships, they would likely find themselves with all Taiyou eyes on them, with a singular Shokaku class carrier, flanked by a pair of Shogun Battleships, and a single Yamato class Battleship, and two Kongo class Battleships moved to greet them, a middle aged Taiyou officer flickering on their screen.

"Attention SEC Group Beta, this is the ITN Murakami, prepare to be boarded, any resistance will be met with overwhelming force." He said firmly, before disconnecting the message, while massive 250cm Anti-Ship cannons swiveled on their turrets, bearing aim at the smaller SEC Ships, while the Shokaku class carrier moved in, flanked now by a squadron of A6M Star-fighters.

Big ears had listened in on their conversation.

422-201 glides into the ITN Murakami's garbage disposal system. Maneuvering his way against the tightly sealed doors, which he remotely unlocks and slides open enough so he can enter before the emergency systems engage. Once inside, 422-201 emerges from a disposal shaft near the bottom of the ship, but remains cloaked. Wishing to maintain his hidden presence, 422-201 doesn't attempt to take over the starship's main computer yet. He pauses every twenty feet to place a cloaked explosive along the corridor. He continues at a hastened pace, perfectly silent, moving past crew members unnoticed. His first main stop, the ship's armory.

An explosion of sound, like screeching metal against solid stone, and a tear in space itself. Suddenly, a great red ship in the middle of the void of space, and it's captain yelling obscenities.

"God damnit where is that mother fucker I'mma tear him three new ass holes to shit from!" Melanie raves to herself, being the only person on her ship currently. "grrrrrr"

All throughout the ship is silence and shadow, as though there is nothing within, no living soul.
In her seat as the pilot the captain sighs and retreives herself from her stupor. She turns to a console and then steps up from the seat and sets off to the elevator. As she does so all the lights within the ship activate, revealing an empty place of sorrow.

There was none of these, as he reached the end of the hall the door would open with a hiss and allow him into a large room with a strange sort of elegance to it, as though a fuedal era lord met with modern japanese craftsmen and created this ship.

Melanie sighed, her eyes glowing green as she rode the access elevator to the crew quarters, her vision focused upon her visitor. She set off through the quarters and the doorway to the main hall.

Stepping forward into the light and looking up at Godrage, Melanie sighed and waved. "Well come on you slow poke." She then kept on moving off, passing through the door of the conference room.

"you like it? I do too, Tia's a real nice girl once you get to know her. A bit of a handful at times though" Melanie said, her voice seeming to come from the walls, floor, and cieling of the ship all at once.

"Yes she did, no Tia is not the name of the ship just the name I gave her cuz it's easier to say than the full thing, Yes I'm connected to it, on a level you couldn't possibly begin to fathom, so no theres no mic, and no your not a prisoner. Also I would be careful of your thoughts on this ship. Technically speaking, while your on this ship your in my dimension, and so nothing you say, think, or do is hidden." Melanie was suddenly in several places at once, as Godrage's head would begin to throb and pulse.
It would stop as quickly as it had started, leaving only the feeling of danger. Melanie stood at the head of a conference table, looking out a view screen to the outside space as the ship sped by at a easy cruising speed of two hundred fifteen parsecks per minute.

"I never get tired of seeing planets and stars zipping by one after another. God Tia your fast."

She didn't respond first, but when she did it was in a tone that sounded sad, lonely even. "My name is Captain Melanie Storm, Fourth air battalion of the Mindus colony militia force. I was selected for experimentation with this ship, The Huntress, fourth warrior of Ragnorok. The result was a binding of mind, body, and soul. I've been flying through space for the past seven thousand years. Everyone I know or cared about is gone.... I don't really know why I'm telling you all this, maybe I'm really as depressed as Tia says, but it doesn't matter."

She then turns to face him. "I didn't save you by good graces, I'm tired of being the only one on this ship, and Tia is tired of it too. I want a crew, and you look like some one who's capable of finding more than a few people eager for work."

Melanie Storm frowns, turning away from him. "....Which do you think is more important, a child getting a bruise or an entire world getting into a war of utter destruction?"

She suddenly shatters into a thousand peices, that scatter throughout the ship and vanish. Her voice continues to Echo at Godrage however. "I really hope that you end up being wrong, because I'm very tired of being alone."

And with that, Godrage would find himself suddenly off the ship, in the dark alley of an old spaceport, where the sounds of commerce reach him from not so far away.

Out in the depths of space, Melanie's great warpship, The Huntress, continuly circled the station, and any ships that attempted to leave or enter the station were immediatly destroyed. The news bulliten dictated that at least two seperate battalions of warships, cruisers, and destroyers were sent to aid the station, and all of them had been reduced to burning ruins and debris.

The Bulliten rotated to a picture of the Ship, it's dragon head prow with it's green eyes, which seemed to focus on Godrage, as if even through the station hull, It could still see it's prey.

The station would suddenly rock as a heavy impact struck it, and then another. In fact, on the outside of the station The Huntress had changed, where the forward weapon banks had been there were now two muscled arms of the same color and design as the rest of the ship. The fingers had a white glow to them, as though comprised of solid lightning. These hands had grabbed the station, and the ship had begun to physically drag said station off.

The sheer strength of The Huntress, the power at Captain Storms command, was frightful indeed.
