Millen's Story

Meeko did his best not to drool as Milo described the various locations to eat here on the campus. He had been on his own for so long, never knowing where he was going to get his next meal or when. The idea of having so much good food so readily available was amazing to him.

"That All Serving Court sounded like the best idea to me, that way people can get whatever they want, but if everyone isn't up for that, my second choice would be the pizza place."

Meeko's tail was now flipping back and forth quickly with anticipation of the food and the joy of hanging out with new friends.

Aeka first looked to her two guards, offering them both a smile, but the sound of her stomach growling at the mention of food was just too much, briefly casting her eyes downward in embarrassment.

The moment was fleeting, and Aeka would soon find herself wearing a smile once more.

"I would like to try Pizza, we don't have anything like that back on Niihama, and I have to eat whatever the Imperial Chefs prepare at the behest of my brother." She said, offering a polite nod.

"I will go wherever people decide, I am not picky!"

"I see. Then if that is your reasoning, the All Serving Court it is! If you want to taste pizza because it is not found on your world, then you will also be able to encounter and taste other foods you normally would not find there either!"

Stating that reason, Milo pointed out a direction and, while keeping an eye on a certain Star Dragon so she did not cause any issues or wander off and get into trouble, also secretly had a familiar cloaked, using presence concealment, noise concelation, and phasing magic linked with his mind so he could also keep an eye on what was behind them...and his son, Atrix Akir.

Millen had one thousand years. He had practiced all manner of stealth and concealment magic to make sure no one ever realized he was still alive, so he was a master of masters. Actually, his ability was so good he could hide from gods, and unknowingly, even Ruuka himself. The Lord of the Void.

It did not take long to find the All Serving Court. Even still, somehow while traveling in a group Atrix almost got distracted, wander off, and then almost got lost if Millen had not been monitoring him. He was a True Nomad, no clear direction, just wandering wherever. It shouldn't even be possible to get lost on the way to this place, because that huge Particle Accelerator building was nearby! Millen realized he might have to train Atrix in how to have a sense of direction before any Demon King Blood Powers.

And then, after getting them a table, menues were passed out. They were made using Enchanted Digital Paper, and while appearing as common paper menues had a scroll option, searching options, categories and sections. In it, there was pizza of all kinds with all sorts of toppings, burgers and milkshakes as well. But there was also eastern food, such as sushi, and there were also Origin Originals such as Leviathan Torvets, which was Leviathan Meat stuffed with Mozzerella, with spices from the Duskus Continent, and then cooked to the user specified temperature.

There was also a less meaty option, The Razzleberry Mix, which used Razzleberries which are native to Origin, and this drink mixed them with smaller amounts of other berries to give it a good taste. There was also the Rosetta Field, a vegetarian meal that served various vegetables and fruits found on the Rosetta Continent with added spices also found here to give it a delectable taste.

And that was only the tip of a rather extensive menu they could choose from.

Meeko looked through the menu. There were a number of items that he didn't recognize, most of which he assumed were because he wasn't from this planet. He scrolled down the menu a little but he soon realized it was far too big of a menu to read the whole thing. He went back to the search option and entered Felinoid Cuisine into the search. The menu changed to a list of meaty options fit for the wildest of big cats. He scanned the options and by the time the waiter came to take their orders he had figured everything out.

"I'll have the stuffed Leviathan shank with the roasted garlic potatoes, and a Razzleberry milkshake." Meeko spoke politely when it was his turn to order.

Ellie turned around so fast you might think it would snap her neck or at the very least result in whiplash. So quick was she in turning that she wound up spinning a few times and falling on her butt from the sudden dizziness that followed. Head lolling from side to side a bit once or twice she finally managed to Face the source of the voice. Her response getting caught in her throat as she realized who had just spoken and remembered the mess she had just made. She nervously avoided eye contact at this point before nodding quickly and scampering off. Hoping Mr. Azler Didn't notice the mess of foam until she was clear.

She showed up shortly at the cafeteria for lunch gasping for breath from her mad dash. She doubled over to gulp down air greedily. She made to hurry towards the serving line but slipped on some slimy condiment of some sort. Stumbling foreward in a struggle to regain her balance and avoid cracking her head on the floor or a nearby table she Bumped into someone from behind and wound up falling on her butt once again. "OOF" . She looked up slowly to see who it was.

He couldnt help but smile and snicker as Ellie turned around so quickly she ended up falling down. It was almost like she was a tornado, except for the part where she fell down and got dizzy. Of course, he had already noticed the mess she had hoped he had not yet, but he wasn't terribly annoyed by it. Of course, the people who would actually have to clean it would be a different matter entirely. However, it appeared that she was going to try and run from him which was somewhat amusing itself.

Well, he did have work to do. And if he recalled correctly, that person was currently at lunch so it was probably fine. Probably.

Well, he decided to at least go and make sure everything would be okay. Of course, with that person it should be, but it never hurts to check.

Meanwhile, the one who Ellie had currently bumped into decided to turn around, and saw the young girl on the ground who had fallen on her rear. He vaguely recalled...wasn't this how he met that Hero person for the first time one thousand years ago?

Well, he shrugged that off and decided to extend the hand and help her up. After all, Demon King Millen was actually a rather nice person...usually.

"Hey, my name is Milo. What is your name?"

Of course, he would use his fake name and not his real name, since his real name might just scare her away, or cause a bunch of other annoying issues.

Ellie gazed up at this Milo person. There were dark bags under her eyes . Momentarily surprised at their lack of annoyance. "Uh...hi" She said quietly before shaking her head. She took the offered hand, dusting her backside off. "My name is Elina but most people just call me Ellie. It's nice to meet you Milo." Ellie replied. Stuttering here and there before falling silent. Not really holding eye contact for more then a half a second at a time. She soon gained a puzzled/curious expression however. "You feel... Different then most other people here." She stated looking at Milo. "not bad but... Uhhh I don't know how to describe it" She leaned in closely. Not really having much of a mind for manners. Closing her eyes. Her hair waved slightly almost as though being blown by a gentle current. "It's...Calm, but at the same time not" She concluded opening her eyes once more

As Milo listened to all her words, he only gave her a nice and sweet smile as he listened fully. That was a natural expression to, because she seemed very familiar to him. If he recalled correctly, he had a subordinate who would constantly parade around his cute, sweet innocent daughter...yes, that was who she reminded him of.

"Its weird, people dont usually notice that. Well, dont worry. Even if I seem abnormal, I am entirely normal. What isn't normal is that a girl like you has not had lunch yet".

He said that and accepted her hand, and then tried to lead her towards a place that was serving food.

"So how about we go eat, huh?"

Ellie smiled at the mention of food. But flinched ever so slightly when he reached for her, for a moment seeing a nearly bald Man in a white lab coat with an emotionless face and yellow eyes instead of him. She almost withdrew her hand before stopping herself mid jerk. Remembering that this was supposed to be a safe place and this person had been nothing but nice to her.

That didn't stop the tiny pulse of fear she leaked out weakly through her necklace.She shook her head , putting on a smile. Allowing Milo to pull her along as stomach growled in agreement with his statement, she spaced out for a moment looking forward to eating and possibly making a friend. Looking at the serving area as she was led in that direction. whether she wanted anything specific before deciding food was food and she was hungry. "Y-yeah, lunch..."

Millen didn't react at all when Ellie flinched. He did notice, and it was clear he was paying attention, but...he didn't let it affect him at all as he brought her over to where the food was being served from. Even though it was lunch, they still had some breakfast options too. In fact, they had a variety of different options. Pizza, pasta, omelets, scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, sandwiches, steak, salad, fruit arrangements, pudding, cake, and so many other options.

Millen just smiled at her, as if it was natural. Appearance wise, there should only be a few years between them. Millen appeared around twelve years old after all. But Millen actually was over one thousand years old, though very few people knew his true identity and not the fake identity he was using, Milo.

In a way though, to others, this appearance would look much like an older brother taking his younger sister out to eat. "Now now, Ellie. Just take whatever you want and think you can eat. Don't worry about finishing it, okay?"

Of course, thanks to those one thousand years, he was pretty good at dealing with all sorts of situations. Even these.

Ellie Looked at the selection of food reverently. Salivating a bit as she looked at the selection. Setting aside the note she had taken that Milo acted a bit older then his looks let on in his mannerisms towards her. She spotted some asparagus and glared at it as though it were her mortal enemy for a moment. Though once that was through she looked at the huge variety with a bit of apprehension, she brought her free hand to her chin rubbing it and getting a look of concentration like someone in the middle of an intense game of chess.

Ellie took a step forward and selected a random salad, got some steak. She was about to turn away but spotted a green apple and her eyes went wide. Hurrying over there she nabbed it . somehow managing to carry the tray she had everything on with one arm despite her smaller then average stature though of course there were a few close calls but she stubbornly refused to use her other arm because that would have required her to loosen her hold on the weathered looking rabbit doll being squeezed like a lifeline, It was just good fortune that she hadn't gotten any soup because half of it would have more then likely been on the floor by now.

Done getting food, Ellie grabbed some silverware to eat it with and got a cup of water, holding the utensils between her fingers whilst grasping the cup firmly with her free hand she walked cautiously towards the nearest empty table. Seeming to forget about Milo as she started declaring war on the apple before stopping... and squeezing her eyes shut as the sourness took her by surprise. she blinked a couple times staring at the fruit before eating it at an even more outrageous pace then before, barely even chewing it as she devoured the whole thing core and all. Completely oblivious to the few stares that her eating habits were getting her. It was likely astonishing to anyone besides her that she hadn't choked yet.

Millen also got a large variety of food and was quick to sit down with her. He had not even met her before today, but he had been extremely good and kind with her as if he had handled kids before. Well, he had actually quite a few times in the past one thousand years. He had also helped women, and two seperate occasions over two hundred years apart men, give birth to their children. He had been a godfather of several children, a benefactors to multiple orphanages, and had dealt with children countless times in all those years.

With all that experience, he sat down next to Ellie with an amount of food so large people questioned if his stomach took up over half his body. However, when Ellie had an issue with the apple, he offered some advice in a kind and brotherly voice.

"Don't eat recklessly! And be careful, those apples can be a bit sour. The red ones are more sweet though".

He said that as he offered her one of the five red apples he took, and somehow managed to finish an entire steak already. Demon King Blood...it also granted the people who possessed it large appetities so they could quickly restore their energy and use the matter of the food itself to help regenerate any injury or wound, and could even store up a good amount just in case.

Yes, Millen also had an apetite and eating ability that lacked any form of common sense.

Ellie Snatched the offered apple in both hands and shoved it against her mouth. Taking several bites in a row, Chewing a couple times to get small enough pieces to swallow and scarfing it down. Repeating the same process until the whole thing was gone. "S-sorry burp I'm rather used to eating fast, never had anyone to tell me to d- urp otherwise" She replied with a dusting of pink on her cheeks. "It's a long standing habit too" She then took a bite right out of the steak rather then cutting it. Visibly struggling not to reflexively swallow it after chewing it just 3 times. "Thank you for the apple though."

"I see I see" Millen said as he finished eating his huge pile of food...who knows how he managed to fit it all in his body, it probably shouldn't have been physically possible for him to eat it all, but he did. "And you are welcome. I just dont want you to get hurt because I didn't have the oversight to make sure you are okay".

After that, he then had a curious look on his face. "By the way, what classes are you in? I don't remember seeing you around before? Are you new here? I could help you find your way around if needed".

Millen said that with honest concern and curiosity.

Ellie got a pensive look on her face. Taking the last bite of food on her plate and swallowing it before rather quietly giving a reply as her eyes slightly lost focus "I um... I recently arrived here, but I wanted to take a class in robotics, I'm really good with mu-kan-iks and ke-me-stree...Did I get that right?" looking at Milo she elaborated. "I'm good at making gadgets and the other one I really don't know how to explain except I'm good at mixing different stuff together to make new stuff that does things....I had a lot of time to read stuff where I was before I was here and I wasn't allowed much else to do on my free time. I like reading" She said.

now done explaining she undid a zipper on the back of her rabbit doll and pulled a large capsule that was about the size of a bratwurst filled with a white powder and elaborating with a hint of excitement and giddyness, eyes sparkling "I had two of these. Tossed one of them into a fountain I found last night when I snuck out of my room to explore It made a huge blob of foam and I couldn't see the fo- !" She clapped a hand over her mouth with alarm at admitting that. "Please don't tell mister Azler I snuck out again!" She pleaded with a tone of panic in her voice.

As Ellie went into detail about what she was good at, and gave some hints about her past, Millen just gave her an attentive and tender smile that seemed kind and nice. In fact, he was pretty much radiating emotion of tenderness, compassion, and general positive feelings as she spoke...though in the back of his mind, he made note of something. What she is saying....sounds like she might have been imprisoned somewhere? There have been more cases of children being imprisoned and experimented on, such as the Rixy Siblings...I should do a full investigation of school defenses, make sure no one can ever get close to her that would be bad.
Already meant to anyways with the Rixys often stopping through here...should I talk to that Ollie kid? He has all those birds he can communicate with, and if you can understand his chaotic brain he can be a good source of information...

As he thought that, he just smiled and gave Ellie a thumbs up. "Don't worry, your secret is safe. Besides, I hear we got a few other students known for pranking that have recently joined. Besides, I am sure Azler had a good laugh as well..."

With that done, and their lunch done, Millen was about to help show Ellie around when they ran into a few others talking nearby...one of them being Azler himself.

And from what he overheard, it sounded serious. Millen did take some classes here, but he was actually also known (as Milo) as a teacher here as well who helped teach the more advanced combat classes.

"Dr. Azler, Mr. Thatcher, Young Miss" he said, greeting the two he knew. He did know know the two faculty, but not the older female student. He then looked back at Ellie. "Its okay, these people are good and it looks like the problem was already resolved. It's all safe..."

And then he looked back at the others, knowing he had neglected to add "for now" purposefully for Ellie's sake.

"If it was a Beta, it probably would have tried to dodge or resist. Did it do that? Otherwise, the probability is high that it was a Delta. I would recommend giving this Rio a full physical and examination though. As I have yet to hear about any other case, there is no guarentee he was not targeted from the start. In the first place, I find it very odd that if his family was so thoroughly erased why he was left alive. It sounds like someone tried to use him and his family, so you should make sure that this was not the attempt of someone who now wants to erase him to keep his mouth shut...although, he might be pretty safe right now. A public duel like that? Hard to make someone disappear after getting all that attention, let alone twisting it to what you want the story to be".

As he said that, he looked back at Ellie, concerned she might not fit well in this conversation. To make sure she didn't feel neglected or left out either though, he made sure to interact with her.

"Hey, you want a piggyback ride as I help show you around? I could even make train noises if you want".

Azler, who was not even able to get a word in as Millen and Andolen explained everything, did nod with how well Millen was good with kids it seemed. And with his attention now switched, he decided to chime in.

"We should consider all possibilities true. I think that Selene who was there probably had a good idea of the situation, but doing a full exam on Mr. Aran would help too. After all, as we don't know what this mist was, we do not know how it might be...I think I should go investigate the site in question. Mr. Thatcher, I believe you have a class to run but...would you like to examine Mr. Aran for any signs of magical anomalies, curse marks, and such? Also make sure that his body itself was not affected or perhaps even infiltrated despite our beliefs to be safe, if you don't mind?"

Ellie Calmed down with Milo assuring her and wiped away her tears as she had gotten a bit worked up in her panic, Forgetting the fact that she had just met him and feeling rather grateful she lept at Milo wrapping her arms around him in a hug with a puffing sound of cloth colliding. The close physical contact mostly negating her necklace and foreign but warm feeling of happiness and relief making itself known for a moment before Ellie remembered where she was. She pursed her lips in concentration before deciding she didn't care. She followed when she saw him start walkin she smiled when she spotted Mr.Azler but frowned when she felt the tension. Something must have happened to cause the concern she felt coming from these people as well as Milo. She listened to what she could of the conversation Flinching faintly at the terms beta and delta. gazing at the floor morosely for a couple seconds while idly noting the rest of what was said.

That is until she was offered a piggy back ride, head tilting to the side in curiosity. Completely forgetting about the capsule still in her hand as it dropped to the floor "What is a piggy back ride?" She queried with a confused expression "Where would you get a pig?" But that was when she smelled something familiar and remembered the capsule. She panicked and scooped it up. "Milo cover your eyes!" She urged quickly. Tossing it in the air to avoid any scorch marks on the floor she covered her eye with an arm as the capsule ignited with a sound and brightness akin to a flare infused with magnesium and quickly burned itself up while in the air leaving nothing behind but a bunch of white smoke and vapors. "Dang it. still too unstable" She muttered,uncovering her eye.

Selene nodded, I'll tell you more as we walk there", she said and started walking. Including Milo, who was carrying Ellie in this statement.

"Rio Aran found out about Aeryn Jace's presence in the school, after the three of us started making some quips, calling out on the people bullying the latter..."

-none of the teachers questioned this, knowing which two others she was almost always with-

"... Blaise stayed with Aeryn, while Guinevere and me went after Aran, when he ran away after confronting him and us about his past. I think Aran didn't quite realize he was implying that being born a Jace made it okay for Aeryn to be bullied as horrendously as he is, but that's neither here nor there at the moment, although the others and me would like to have the bullying looked into after this, if possible."

-the last bit was a bit of a guess, but she knew that Guinevere and Blaise would likely agree with the request.-

"We searched for a while, but it seems Aran had some sort of perception filter turned on. We did call out, but he was probably hiding from us, as we noticed him standing in the shadows with another student, who he started to accuse of being an assassin for the Jace family. I think he wasn't in a right frame of mind. But yeah, onto the attempted possession.

It was at this time that I noticed Guinevere tensing and her attention shifting to something at Aran's feet. There seemed to be a black smoke rising up from cracks in the ground. which were attracted to the emotional Aran. This indicated type Delta, but it seems Guinevere figured it might as well be a type Beta disguising itself, what with what happened to his family."

She nodded to Milo, "It indeed makes no sense to leave the boy alive. It could be what you said, or it could have been someone trying to finish the job. Either way, the smoke didn't react to the attack, but that might have been because it happened so fast and suddenly that it didn't have the time to, pretty much like how Guinevere and I barely had the time to notice it. Aeryn seemingly teleported in, and stabbed the black mist with a magically charged spear. Which caused the tendrils to dissipate for now."

They were getting close to the area now.

"I'm not sure what happened after that, but I think I heard Aran challenge Aeryn to a duel? I was already pretty far away at that point though."

Some might have noticed that she consistently used Aeryn's first name, while using Rio's last name. This was not because she liked Aeryn better than Rio. She usually used last names to begin with, but it seemed to her that Aeryn wanted to distance himself from his family name, which she was trying to respect.

"Uh...My bad, that stuff kindof reacts badly to any considerable amount of shock." Ellie said quietly rocking nervously on her heels and gazing at the floor. Her necklace began to grow hot against her skin prompting her to remove it lest she get burned. resulting in her emotions flooding the area around her with feelings of guilt,anxiety and a volatile cocktail of numerous other things. a faint cyan glow peeking through her hair in the area of her temples.

"I'm sorry, I'll leave" And with that she ran off leaving her necklace on the ground with a tiny bit of blood on the cord as it had burned her heating up while trying to keep her empathy dampened with less then optimal contact. She was headed in the direction of the central plaza though her final destination could be anywhere, There was a possibility of her heading to Either the library or the dorm according to what Milo knew about her so far.

Millen chased after Ellie, to make sure she was okay. He guessed what happened before might have been a bit too much stimulus, but he made sure to clean everything up and get anything important she might have dropped, in case it was important or needed.

"Ellie, are you in here? You okay?"
