He nodded, taking her word for it, but still not quite convinced. Of course they had belligerent rhetoric, of course they had weapons and torches and were half naked... but. Well. He didn't want to scare Maria, for whatever reason. "... that or we'll die trying." He was serious about it too, though it was the option that wasn't preferred.

"All or nothing."

"We both do." Salazar smiled, looking to her as he did. No doubt they would, even if they didn't... well, he wouldn't have to worry about much then. "I... haven't had time enough to think about what to do if we do." He really hadn't. Perhaps he'd actually look into doing some more legitimate law work. Perhaps take up real cases.

"... I don't even know what I'm going to do."

"I see no reason why not," He smiled as well. After all, wouldn't there be even more reason to be friends? To be happy? That they finally had their world back. It would be a wonderful day when it came. "... I suppose I might need a secretary, if you decide not to go back to law enforcement." He certainly wouldn't complain, after all. She seemed adept enough.

"Given, that's then. I don't mean to keep you from the party."

"... I'm glad you think so," He replied, blushing himself that someone found him such - though he knew not yet why it mattered so much. Of course, curiously enough, it was Halo's remark which caused him to flush genuinely as well, cheeks reddening. "Well..." He spoke, pondering that, "... I don't see why you couldn't come, Maria. You... you don't have to be topless, if you don't want to."

Of course, the thought of her without her shirt...

"... I don't mean to embarrass you."

Then Maria could watch, if she so desired. A special case, but she wasn't really a member of the Nightwatch - simply their party front. "Then next time you can watch, Maria." Perhaps from the side, or from the back, or from behind the shrubberies. "... I can come pick you up, if you want." Without the blindfold, naturally.

"I know Darlan is... stiff." The man barely had any emotions besides hate.

"And don't worry," He commented on her brother. "Brothers are brothers. It's natural." And she was very lucky to have him. "I don't mean to make you uncomfortable, if I am."

He nodded, of course he could. It was no problem, after all, to pick up a member or two, but... well. Especially her. She was a special case after all. "I can come by early then, if we want to eat first." It would be little trouble, but he supposed the showing up shirtless might not be the best option. "... I suppose I'll have to wear a shirt then." He jested.

"I'd be delighted, really. I don't do much with my free time."

The scars? Oh, oh those. He had almost forgotten them. "... in some cases, yes. They were inflicted by foreigners. Other times, though," And often among their number, "they are self-inflicted. A sharing of Terra's pain... if you will." Some did it, some didn't. "It's voluntary." Always voluntary, never necessary.

But he didn't want to dwell on something like that. "... where would you like to eat, Maria?"

It was a nice enough day still, the light of afternoon beginning to fade into that eventual orange hue of evening-time, though it was rather early for setting out for the rally just yet. Instead, Miroslav was simply there to be with Maria, if she didn't mind such a thing - it was, of course, her suggestion to begin with. Carefully he parked the car on the street, locking the doors and such only to walk up to her door and knock once again, wondering if it would be Halo or Maria that answered this time.

He wore something of a black suit this time, the same breeches as the rally before, but this time with a jacket, shirt, and tie to match. Rather impressive, though it was something only occasionally seen in the light of day. Besides, what did Miroslav have to worry about? His work was secure, and few tried to 'speak' to him belligerently.

Miro smiled at seeing her, especially so well-dressed, and nodded that she needed to get her jacket and purse. There was no rush, of course, Miro had, shamelessly, afforded them a good deal of time. The lawyer had placed his hands behind his back as he waited, gently gesturing back towards the car when she was ready. "I thought I might ask you the same question," He confessed with a smile.

"What do you like?" Better not to make an assumption, after all. Carefully he showed her to the car, opening the passenger door and holding it ajar for her.

Gently he shut the door, stepping around to his own respective side and sliding in, getting comfortable for a moment before he relayed his idea - certainly not wishing to seem too forward. "Perhaps Vogel's? It's not as... dangerous as some other establishments." And no longer under foreign ownership. They certainly had nothing to do with that.

The man blushed at the thought of taking her out to dinner, but it was her idea, and he would pay for her, if she'd let him.

The car started, and Miro saw to ferrying them to the place, not shorting Maria of his attentions all the way. "... you look quite nice this evening, Maria." He hadn't pinned her for such clothes, but... well. They did work so well on her. She should wear them more often.

"You're welcome, and thank you." He replied with a light flush of his own, smiling as she spoke so. "... well. Thanks to the invasion, and... pressure from the Nightwatch, things have changed around Vogel's." For the better, in his opinion, the place now under proper management - or, at least, management that wanted nothing to do with Tech Con.

After all, it was the Nightwatch who they sent their profit margin to now.

"Would you prefer somewhere else?" It was no problem really. "... I'm fine with where-ever, as-... as long as I get to eat with you." He flushed brightly at that confession, but he felt it needed to be said.

"Excellent," He agreed, happy to make such an evening with her, were it that she allowed him. "I... hmm. Please don't take this the wrong way, Maria, but-..." How to phrase it in a way that didn't seem overly rude. "... what do you drink?" He knew what he did, surely, but what he liked wasn't always the most popular of cocktails.

Especially among the fairer sex.

"If you don't mind, of course."

Miro flushed slightly at that, not wanting the woman to think that he planned on liquoring her up to do whatever to her, rather simply wishing for a nice evening. "I though I might get us something to drink, if you don't mind." And beer was always an option, it was just so... plain. He could certainly drink it if he had to, but...

"... would you like to try something new?" He certainly had the money to waste. After all, what did he spend it on besides gasoline, bills and food? "I'll pay, Maria." For the drinks, for all of it. His treat, if she would let him.

"Well..." He mused, driving, trying to put how he wished to treat her this evening. "I usually drink tonics, vodka and the like. Nothing terribly fancy," But... well. Tonight was different, wasn't it? "I was thinking that I might get us a bottle of Grand Marnier. If you'd let me." And were it they had any left over, she could take it home for herself. He had no use for it, after all.

"It agrees with most everyone's palette." Even those who only drank beer, he jested mentally.

He smiled at that, happy that she was so open to the idea. "It's no problem, Maria," He was more than happy to spring for this, after all. To have an evening where he did something besides sit in his apartment by himself was a happy one - nevermind that he spent it with a beautiful woman. "Thank you for letting me." So many women refused to have someone else pay for them, much less take them out.

He was obligated to, he felt.

Soon enough the two arrived, and Miroslav was careful to reverse his actions from before, opening the door for Maria that she might step out.

He guiltily thought of it as such, whether or not she did. With a blush he took her hand, making sure that she was out of the car completely before closing the door, not wanting to close it on her or any of her things. It was wonderful, having someone's hand in his own, and not... well. Not in an unpleasant manner. No, this was pleasant. It was beyond pleasant.

He gently showed her up to the door, holding that too open for her as he lightly squeezed her hand. Not much, just slightly, not daring to share what the gesture meant in words. Not yet.

She certainly was precious, whether she knew it or not. The woman was something of a gem, if he said so himself, and an honest one at that. Carefully he followed her in, only to offer his hand to her, were it she would take it again. "... thank you, Maria." For simply being. There was no other way to put it. "Now, a booth, or a table?" They could certainly have either, and it would only be proper to let the lady choose.

A booth then, he lead them over to one and helped her into her seat before taking his own, "... I think that makes two of us." The rallies always excited him, but something about this one seemed special, if only because she was going to be there. "I can set up a special spot for you, if you want, to watch." He certainly didn't wish to make her uncomfortable in taking her shirt off.

A gentle press of a finger or two on the digital menu had their cocktail ordered - only to be delivered a minute or two later, the bottle and accompanying glasses being carefully set down for them to have at as they pleased. Gently he slid his hand forward on the table, not wishing to press, but delighting in the feeling of her own in his.

"How's Halo doing?"

"You could," He admitted, "But you're not assigned to a company, or a lance, so don't worry." He smiled, squeezing her hand. "... you can always stand with me, if you want." Or sit up on stage, "I could even introduce you, as the newest member." If she so desired. He could include her in a great many ways. "... but you don't have to take off your shirt if you don't want to, Maria. I know there are..." Issues there.

"I do hope he gets to feeling better," He mused, knowing that Halo must still be suffering from withdrawals of some sort. "You're dedicated, to take care of him so."

"Together then." He decided, for where they would put her in the rally, squeezing her hand as he did. "Don't worry, I'll be shirtless too." He winked at that, wanting to bust up all of the severity of the matter. Hopefully she didn't mind such a thing. "It's not a problem, Maria, I just want to make sure that you are doing fine," After all, she was a great contribution.

"We can't afford to lose you." Judging from the way he looked, and how he spoke, though, it sounded more like he didn't want to see her go.

Miro grinned at that, hearing her giggle so, perhaps the thought delighted her more than he expected it to. He certainly wouldn't complain, were that the case. "... good." He decided, with a squeeze of her and and a gentle nudge of her foot with his. He didn't want to lose her. "I'd like for you to stay, for a while." For a long while, if he had his way with the world.

The man was rather enthralled himself.

"Yo-..." He blushed at this, still smiling, not expecting the words he had in his mind to come up. "... you're wonderful."

"... have me?" He inquired gently, not wishing to seem too out of place. "I... I think I'd like to have you." He whispered back, ignoring the bottle of liquor for now and simply concentrating on the woman. She was amazing, in her own, lovely way. "If you might have me." He blushed brightly, almost embarrassed by the oddly worded question.

Miro never was good with general conversation, rhetoric was his strong-suit.

Miroslav squeezed her hand at that, continuing to play with her foot so with his boot. "... good." He decided, flushed, happy to have her with him, if that was what she wanted, to be together. He rather liked the idea, after all. "I..." Oh yes, he liked the idea.

"... together, then?"

"And I your boyfriend." He smiled. Oh, wouldn't this just look good for the rally. To think that they might see each other half nude within hours of being together. It was almost scandalous. Miro squeezed her hand, delighted in just being able to feel her there, what warmth came through her hand and into his own. "... I suppose that makes this a date then?"

It was an incredibly pleasant evening, as far as he was concerned, the time passing much too quickly for his own tastes as they soon had to move to the rally, getting ready there what needed to be done. Of course, Miro was very careful to keep the sensitive maters pushed far enough ahead that they wouldn't involve themselves in such things quickly. He didn't want to push her.

After all, while he might have kept from drinking too much, he didn't know about her.

Soon enough, in one of the houses that they maintained as a safe-house nearby, he'd gotten ready, or almost ready, as he soon approached Maria, still clothed himself.

"... ready for the rally, Maria?"
