One of the two men facing her - if, indeed, the gender of the tall figure with a teddy bear for a head could be called a man - bowed, the soft round ears of his head nearly brushing the floor with the reverence of the motion. On his shoulder, a small green bird preened at its wings, opening its mouth and emitting a very human sounding vocalization of reverence. "The honour is mine, madam." The small bird rumbled, in a dark, deep voice.

The bear straightened, his form still as a statue, not deviating from his loosened stance. He looked as if his sergeant had just told him to stand at-ease; hands clasped behind his back, head straight forward. The bird, in contrast, paced across his shoulder in little, bouncing steps, his head bobbing slightly as he walked. His beak opened, and then clapped shut, as if hesitating on what he should say to adress the question. Finally, he spoke.

"Madam, there is no one thing that endeared us to your cause. While the man who's shoulder I sit on has seen much battle and death in his day, he regretfully does not wish for me to expand upon it in any detail. Suffice it to say, he hopes that joining your organization will satiate the part of him that has goals that are similar to your own. If you would accept him into your ranks, he would stand by you to the very end."

There was a small pause, before the bird continued. "Myself, on the other hand, have sworn a life indebted to the man who stands before you, and I shall follow his wishes to my own grave."

In contrast, the bear bowed again, his ears once more skimming the floor in his reverent motion. "Our master," the bird said, softly. "We are called Nafy, the Ninja, hound of the Soulless, merchant of death, and Lord of Cavenhall, to the south. And my name is Jimmy, the songless. It is a pleasure and honour to finally meet your acquaintance."

Nafy stood tall again, black eyes unwavering, silent, cold.
