History

Personal Background

It was just six years ago when things were good for the granddaughter of the Shaman mother of the Moon Eyes clan. Nahimana had been mated to Hotah Otaktay, the white wolf of the Raven Snow clan. This marriage was to unify the two clans officially for they had been allies for many years. Nahimana and Hotah were a lucky pair and hit if off instantly from the start. Thankfully Nahimana's grandmother was right in her choosing this warrior to be her granddaughter's mate or otherwise things wouldn't have been the way they were or turned out like they did. Nahimana was to become the clan's Shaman mother while Hotah was to become the chief. Things were almost perfect.

During the next year as the season of the hunt was about to come to an end, Nihimana had given birth to two sons (as seen in the image above.). While the youngest closely resembled his parents, his older brother did not, but it was all right since Nahimana's grandfather was a wolf of dark fur. The oldest child was said to be his incarnate, thus giving him the name of Mahkah. The youngest son was named Mahpee. Mahkah meaning Earth while Mahpee meant Sky. The names suited the young ones for they acted in unison like the earth and sky.

Two years passed since then, and the family of four prospered and lived happily. But like all stories, not everything good and happy was meant to last.
In Nahimana's case this was to be...

During the summer months just after Mahkah's and Mahpee's second birthdays, a raid had come upon the Moon Eyes clan. The raid was from that of a rival clan named the Bear Mist. For many years both the Moon Eyes and the Raven Snow clan had been enemies with this clan and had fought long, hard battles with them which resulted in both sides losing many innocent and many warrior brothers.

This raid was like no other, for in the process of the raid, two warriors had taken Nahimana and Hotah's sons and ran off with them. They were to be held as ransom and later killed to show just what the Bear Mist clan could do. The discovery of this didn't happen till the morning after the attack. Both parents had spent hours searching the night before while members of the village began to restore what was loss. It was Nahimana herself who dreamed of where tracks would be found that lead in the direction of where the Bear Mist warriors had taken her sons. Confiding in her grandmother at first, the shaman mother told her that her visions had been correct. No sooner than Hotah had heard of this, he gathered some of his warriors and rushed out.

This action was rash, but what father in the right mind, would wait to get his sons back?

Leaving Nahimana in the care of her grandmother, Hotah instantly went out to rescue his sons. But neither he or his warriors knew that there was an ambush waiting for them. Fighting for the lives of his children and himself, it took Hotah a while before he was slain after having his warriors die by his side. His sons were murdered soon after and their bodies; along with his, desecrated soon after. It was a wounded warrior who had come back to the village hours later and notified Nahimana and the others of this news. He died moments later for his wounds were too great. Grief stricken and in disbelief of such news, Nahimana rushed out to the location, only to discover that the warrior had told the truth.

There, she fell to her knees and wept beside the body of her mate, or what was left of him. What she didn't know was that the members of the Bear Mist were still around. In the form of an ambush they attacked her. But this vengeful mother and widow came prepared. Armed with tooth, claw and spear, she fought off her attackers. But unfortunately she was bested in the end. However, due to her grandmother's envisioning, aid was sent in order to rescue Nahimana before she met her demise. Taken home after the battle was won by the warriors who had arrived just in time, Nahimana's wounds were treated and she later watched her husband and two sons be put to rest.

Many years had passed since then and currently Nahimana is still training to take the place of her grandmother and still grieves the loss of her family till this very day even though she has long since moved on in order to see what the future holds for her...

So begins...

The pale eyes of the wolf reflected the trickling stream she sat before whilst it reflected the moon and the stars that rested in the night sky above. As the rain poured in pounding torrents that seemed to never recede as the hours passed, the creatures of the night seemed to be wary of coming out from their secluded homes in order to claim the wood as their playground. The she-wolf however simply knelt before the stream with the main section of the dark woods just before her while the other half lingered just behind. In the heavens above thunder rumbled like the drums of war whilst the wolf remained where she was in silence with her eyes unblinking as her hands dipped into the waters of the stream as it slowly started to overflow. Clad only in that of a loincloth type skirt the she wolf appeared to be indigenous to the lands for nothing covered her breasts and small trinkets of jewelry covered her arms and ears. From behind her, a bushy tail now saturated in water lie limp. -continued-

It appeared as if the female were praying or had been for quite some time now for nothing seemed to phase her. That was until she heard the bleating of a deer echo throughout the wood just across steam. Snapping out of her spell as the thunder clapped, pale eyes blinked rapidly as perked ears twitched. Slowly, the wolf glanced from side to side before standing upright upon long, muscular hind legs. In a snapping motion her tail lifted with life, spraying water that had gathered in the fur, through the drenched area. Huffing a visible breath, the female remained silent as she craned her head back to look up at the sky whilst lightning danced in a beautiful pattern. She remained emotionless for now, clenching white pebbles within her clawed hands. However, once the bleating of the animal that had been selected to have its life end this eve would stop, she would instantly dart across the shin now deep water, thus disappearing into the darkened foliage soon after. -end-

Listlessly the female scoured throughout the dark visage of brush in her path. Keen eyes that could see into the night as well as day stared forth. Being a swift runner, the she-wolf advanced throughout the wood pretty quickly. Her speed clocked faster than that of an average human's, but stayed within the boundary lines of reality while still being unable to beat that of a cheetah's vitality. As she ran, short whiskers that rested upon her cheeks twitched upon every deep breath she took in and then exhaled in visible puffs through her black nostrils. It wouldn't take long until her jaws fell agape once the wolf had cleared over a fallen log while continuing forth, the white stones still clenched within her paws. Pointing out from black gums, serrated teeth sleeked with saliva due to a sloshing tongue, seemed to glisten in the small rays of moonlight that managed to peek the the craggy branches of the trees. -c-

“ [color=purple]It was amazing how the moon was still able to cast its radiant rays upon the earth, even though the rainfall attempted to make it go away by using thunder and dark clouds to conceal the illuminating light. This could only mean that something was bound to happen. But what?

Moments continued to pass on and on as the she-wolf continued through the wood. She seemed to suspect nothing out of the ordinary whilst she ran. The only thing that drove her was to investigate what exactly brought down that deer. That was it. She was drawing near to the kill. She could smell the blood and the meat in her nose. But why hadn't whatever ended its life, began to devour it yet? That was another mystery yet to be solve.

Continuing to run with her tongue sloshing at the side of her mouth, the she-wolf kept to her bout of silence. That was until a familiar scent wafted into her nostrils. It was a pure essence she normally surrounded herself with on a daily basis. But the scents were both alike. One however, smelt a bit strange. -c ”

Upon inhaling such scents the she-wolf paused in her tracks, now panting. Slowly she lifted her clawed, human like hands as they were both clenched shut. Uncurling her fingers, her pale eyes fell upon the white stones that she had gathered at the river bed. Licking her jaws, her ears pinned back a little. She was curious. Was this a sign? Despite the obvious, she kept to her silence. That was until something peculiar had happened. The rain, it stopped. Blinking a couple times, she closed her hands and lifted her head. Upon seeing the heavens clear, the wolf took a slow step back into the darkness, glancing behind her before glancing forth. The two who possessed such scents were just ahead. But would she go? Instead, the she-wolf did what was instinctive and tilted her head back in order to release a loud, melodic howl which would echo throughout the wood. This she knew, would alert those she had smelt nearby of her presence and that she knew what they were. -c-

The female's call ended on a low, mournful note as she lowered her head. She took another step back once the strange scent of one of the males began to draw near to where she was located. It appeared that he was curious on what had made such a beautiful sound and wished to investigate. But what of the other male? How did this one escape the confrontation. With a growl the she-wolf retreated another step back, still clenching the white pebbles in her hands. Apparently she had miscalculated how close she was to the two that were of her kind, for it would be just minutes now until the one that carried a strange tint to his scent would be upon her. The question was whether or not he'd attack. Glancing from side to side, the silent female seemed to be thinking about fleeing. But that would change once the scent of the kill had filled her nostrils. Yes, this was the one she originally sought out upon the deer's strange death for it smelt like it had its neck broken instead of its flesh gouged open. -c-

“ [color=purple]This was a spectacle. This was something unreal. What strange magics or talents had this male possessed in order to enable to catch him a fleeing deer and to snap its neck in the process. Such superstitions of course clouded the she-wolf's mind whilst she clenched the pebbles a bit tighter in his paws. He was coming. Growling, she took another step back. but it would be too late for in the distance just ahead she would see a flash of his golden eyes. Startled, the indigenous wolf faltered in her movements, her body frozen as she gazed forth through the darkened visage at this large male whilst he carried a stag over his shoulder. It would seem that he possessed strange talents. But what could these talents be? No wolf could ever use such magics, except for that of shamans and druids. Instantly the female's body stiffened, her damp fur bristling. Her hands would clench once more before unfolding, the ivory pebbles falling to the earth beside her feet. She released a growl. This was a warning. A warning for what? ”

Blinking, the female curiously gazed at the ebony furred male. Remaining still she observed him drop his kill and take a step back. He seemed to be offering it to her. Without noticing she had dropped her stones, the she-wolf slowly took a step forth into the slight clearing so the moonlight could shine upon her form and so that he could see her. Whether or not she was beautiful would be for this male to judge. Licking her jaws slowly, she shook her head before glancing up towards the mood by simply cocking her head to the left. "I did not know others of my kind would be here...' she murmured, her voice low, soft and gentle sounding to the ear. For a native, her English was pretty well spoken. "But when I caught your scent...and the others', I simply did what my gut told me to do and called out." She then explained, glancing towards the ebony wolf with a gaze almost like the moonlight itself but a bit more enticing and hypnotic. How could a male not resist the compel to go to her? -continued-

Nodding down the kill as a low growl rumbled within her throat, ears pinning back slightly, the she-wolf at first glanced from side to side before fixating her gaze to meet the male's eyes. She had yet to notice that she had dropped her pebbles she had once held so tightly within her grasp just moments ago before the rain had stopped. "How'd you kill it?" She asked, showing curiosity as to this creature had been killed and maybe why this male guarded it so highly. -end-

Even the female was suspicious of the other scent that lingered within the air. The other male had arrived. But where was he? With a light snort, the she-wolf slowly took another step forth. This time it was a cautious one. From behind her, her tail flicked up a little as a sign of alertness. "Your friend...' the wolf murmured, glancing down at the stag's carcass. "He followed you here." She said, thus assuming that the wolf lurking somewhere within the trees was this one's friend. Before she could speak further, the winds would begin to rustle the dark, gnarled branches of the trees, making them sway to and fro. Instantly, the she-wolf's attention strayed from that of the ebony wolf only to instead watch as the wind at its work. Sniffing the air, she sighed and glanced away. "They tell me that you've killed this creature by using some strange magics..." The she-wolf stated, her voice low and in almost that of a whisper. -continued-

Upon seeing the white furred male, the she-wolf's eyes widened. If it was possible, her face paled whilst she stared at this large male. Awe stricken, she took a slow step back. She seemed to be shy, scared of something that this newcomer possessed. But what? With an instinctive growl, her semi nude body turned as she went to retreat into the brush. But she paused, her pale optics widening even more. It seemed as if she remembered something. Lifting her hands she looked down into her palms, they were empty. Shuddering a breath, the female glanced from side to side. "No!" She whispered in a gasp of a breath, falling to her knees once her keen eyes had caught sight of the stones. Ignoring the two males she quickly began to pick up these small river pebbles, holding them in one hand for she carried no pouches on her person and the only garb she wore possessed no pockets. It wouldn't take the bitch long to complete the task, but once she had finished she instantly stood. -c-

Shuddering once more she glanced behind her. In a slow gaze she eyed up both of the male's. First it was the ebony coated one. She couldn't help but to look into his golden optics. They were so hypnotic, so beautiful. But when it came to the ivory coated newcomer, she would instantly look away. Afterwords, her body stiffened, and like that she darted off into the brush only to run back towards where she had once came or so it seemed to be for there was no place else to go. -e-

The female barely managed to get across the stream when she had heard the white male's shout. She knew it was him based on his scent amongst other things. For a minute she wouldn't stop, but instead continued across. The answer to his question tugged at her mind it seemed for she was unable to look back at him. Just before she stepped onto the other side where she had once knelt, the female paused, turning her side to now both males as the ebony one had arrived. Gazing down stream for a moment she slowly lifted the hand which held to the ivory colored pebbles and glanced towards the male. Even though it seemed hard to do, the female was able to look upon his face with that of a weakened expression. "Because your remind of a nightmare that had once been..." She murmured, her soft voice filling the air once more, echoing throughout the area as thunder rumbled in the heavens. Upon glancing towards that of the male whom carried his meat like a trophy, lightning flashed as it threatened to rain again. -c-

Like that of a bounding deer the she wolf fled, unaware of what gifts the white male had possessed as well. From all around her semi nude gait the dark, gnarled trees whispered things to her. All at once the small mixed voices came, but she ignored them. Tightly clenching the white pebbles in her right hand which she placed just between her breasts for safe keeping, she made sure to hold to them as she blindly ran. From behind her, her damp tail swished from side to side as the winds produced by her running, drug it. By now the bitch's soft gray fur had begun to dry. That would soon change though once the heavens began to cry once again. At this point, the she-wolf seemed ready to cry herself. But before she could run any further, a shock would be given to her in the form of the ebony wolf from before. With a gasp she ran into his side, toppling backwards onto her rear directly after. Upon falling, she almost had lost the stones she collected, again. This time she had a tighter grip on them before. -c-

For a second she scooted back from the male's extended hand. Getting on the defensive, her brows furrowed and her ears pinned back. About to snarl she bared her teeth to the dark furred male. She spoke no words to reply to his inquiry and seemed to remain that way. That was until he spoke of the rain on which a reminding thunder rumble from the pitch dark heavens above. With her pale eyes shifting warily from side to side the bitch lifted her left hand for her right still held the pebbles. At first she was reluctant on taking his hand and faltered the second time. The third proved to be successful, and upon making such contact with the male softened the she-wolf's features. Nodding to him she glanced up for a second before going to stand with his aid of course. Upon standing upright as her frame would be dangerously close to his own, the wolf instantly released his hand and took a step back. In a lingering gaze she looked his frame up and down, her eyes going straight to his kill. -c-
