The bar was a place that held an endless flow of liveliness, despite the lack of current patrons. One such patron was tucked in one of the booths, feet crossed atop the table. Their entire stance was that of one who had possibly had an evening filled with too much of the bars abundant liveliness; cradling an empty stein to their chest, head lolling to the side.

At the discord of the unfamiliar sound the slumbering one jolted into life. Dark, almost reddish eyes darted around in search of the offending noise. Her reward was a spell of dizziness which left her head reeling and her large hand moved to cup her forehead.

"By the blighted Maker," she grumbled in a deep raw voice. The pain stirred to life some blurry memories as to why and how she was in her current state. A door, too much ale and so many people that she couldn't keep track of. Trying to string together the blank spaces of her adventure seemed futile but it did bring to light one frustrating question. Where in Andraste's ass was she?

Steeling against her throbbing head she edged her feet off the table, which only resulted in a jarring connection with the timber floors. She steadied herself for a moment, placed her jug down and then attempted to heave her towering bulk to a stand. It was successful to a point, in that she managed not to topple back down. A groan escaped her snarled lips as she imagined how she was going to get anywhere in her current state. Curse those blasted fucks who challenged her to more drink.

Finally somewhat stable Nanache continued her search around the bar, it was empty, except for one dazed looking person hanging about near the doorway. It was possible they knew where she could find her way home.

"Oi! Small one," She half-heartedly waved "c'mere I need to ask you a few things."

The woman's seeming meditation went undisturbed for a time, before she was awakened by the sudden cacophony of the bar behind her.

Either by lack of attention or another strange attribute of the place, what had seemed formerly empty to her was now bustling with life.

"Oh," she said, for the third time. Her attention was split between someone offering her a drink, and another person who needed answers.

Her face paled slightly; she was nervous due to being completely unfamiliar with the environment, and did not want to offend anyone by refusing an offer. But the fact of the matter was... for the moment, she felt no thirst.

And she was always willing to provide answers.

She slowly but deliberately made her way over towards the drunk woman; on her way passed she bowed her head to Lukas, trying to indicate that she appreciated the offer but may not take it up just yet. When she reached the woman, she tipped her yellow ballcap in greeting.
"Hello Ma'am," she said, her voice soft and bright. "I am Ann Sible. How may I help you," she asked. She flashed a brilliant smile at her.

"A drink," Jarlas shouted. He charged his way over to the table with Lukas and Jason, fixing a bright green eye on them. "What kind of drink you want then?"

His eye was drawn inexorably to the two women collecting in the corner. He wondered why they didn't want drinks. Jarlas' drinks were the best, certainly better than most.

As if to make his point, he held up his fingers and began listing off. "I got Rum, juice, amasec, whiskey, rum, beer, water, rum, salsa, ice, vodka..." The list would go on for quite some time with much recycling of fingers.

Lukas was surprised to see Jason here at the bar. "Oh! Jason, what-how are you doing?" he asked as he took a dark vial from his pocket and gulped it down. "Aaaaaaah. This. Is good." He took another vial and offered it to his companion? Be careful, it's stronger than an ape."

Jason accepted the drink from Lukas and took a sip. "This is rather good," Jason said. Jason looked around at the bar. Strange, a large group of Elementals... What were they doing here?

Standing had become too tiresome for the hungover Qunari and so she had resorted to sitting back down. Leaning back heavily she waited for the strange woman to approach her, glad at least that someone was willing to aid her.

Her head had quietened down for the minute, enough so that by the time the stranger had reached her she was sitting upright and attempting to not look so run down. The woman was soft spoken and polite, the complete opposite of herself, which spread a bemused grin across Nanache's face.

"Pleasure is mine, please take a seat Ann Sible," She extended her hand to the free space, indicating her to sit and made the effort to meet the cheeriness that this Ann showed her. "Name's Nanache, just call me Nache. See," Not waiting her Ann to actually take the offer she ploughed right into her question. "I seem to have found myself in quite the embarrassing predicament. I'm in a strange bar with no recollection of where said bar is. Would you by chance be able to help a dear out?" She added a toothy grin to add to her sweet request.

Ann sat down opposite to Nache as she spoke. She did not seem to mind the poor manners, outwardly, and accepted the handshake with a gentle grip.

When Nache explained her situation, Ann's already striking eyes lit up, and her pleasant smile grew just a touch wider. "Oh my! Me too, actually!" She giggled in quite possibly the most girlish fashion one such as Nache had ever heard, covering her mouth with two fingers.

"I was on a space station a moment ago, and now I'm here. I think it is the will of Tahleenah." She spoke this name with reverence and affirmed her statement with a nod. That Nache likely did not know anything about this did not seem to cross her mind until a moment later.

"Oh, but you probably do not know Tahleenah. She is the True Machine." She left it at that; most of the time people were not pleased with listening to Ann's ramblings about Tahleenah, or the True Machine, or any of- what had they called it? 'That religious shit.' But Ann knew it was not a religion, and she hoped this person would be receptive.

Jarlas squinted at the man, Lukas. Oh, is that how it was? Apparently it was. Dude was just gonna miff Jarlas' immense list of alcohol. Well two could play at that game.

Since the other guy didn't accept his drinks either, despite specifically asking for a drink, Jarlas grumbled his way back over to the bar and began tossing drinks at random into a mixer.

"See this," he growled at the offending dudes. "This here's called a Gutbomb." He was still busy tossing things in the mixer, and eventually began throwing it around violently to finish the mixing process.

Then he downed half of the gallon.

And then he proceeded to glare menacingly at the two men.

"Y'know why I'm not completely destroyed yet? 'Cause I was already dead. But I assure you this'd wreck your scrawny human arses faster'n your damn Gorilla turd!"

And so it was that Jarlas sauntered back over and slammed two glasses of the bubbling, fizzing, and hot substance.

It did actually look kind of menacing, for a drink.

"I'll have you know that I'm not a human," Jason replied calmly. He took a drink of the glass in front of him. Jason was extremely calm, especially after being called a human, in which at that point he usually broke out the Elements. "Interesting," Jason said. "May I ask what contents are in this drink?" He eyed the group of Elementals again. Had they moved closer?

Lukas was not impressed. "Excuse me sir, but I'm a potionmaker, and I'm pretty sure I've drank worse than that. Hell, I've drank cyanide." He took the glass offered to him, and gulped it down all at once. Oooooooh, delicious. Believe it or not, this was a delicacy compared to what he whipped up on a daily basis.

"Psh," Jarlas mumbled. "Whatever mans. It's got... like, stuff in it." He gestures to the plethora of alcohols- most of them 100 proof or more- plus the couple bottles of worse things, like some kind of ancient indecipherable bottle and another that might've been legit poison, but who was keeping track?

Either way he didn't care at this point. They'd drank his brew and so he was content, having done his duty... as The Bartender. And so he did the generic bartendery task of cleaning glasses behind the counter.

Jason eyed the Elementals again. Now they were directly walking towards him. "Shit," he muttered. "They see me." Jason nudged Lukas, who looked up and also saw the Elementals. Hopefully Lukas understood the situation. Jason put his hand on his sword. Things were about to get rough. The drink had made him feel sleepy, and when the group was around 20 feet away, Jason had fallen asleep. Right before he fell asleep, he thought, great. Now I'm going to die while I'm asleep.

The womans face went from bright to direct sunlight, it was exhausting in her current state of depravity. How anyone could be so cheery while sober was beyond her. With a mental shrug, her attention went back to Ann, slumping back into the booth now that some form of formality had been conducted.

As Nanache listen to the woman she barely suppressed a groan at her wildy girlish nature and perceived naivety. She was without a doubt the complete opposite of the Qunari, who prided herself on being straightforward and brazen. Yet, what bothered her slightly more than the giggling was the fact that it seemed the woman was in the same situation as herself. Which sort of rendered any of her supposed assistance useless, but surprises always seemed to present themselves in some way so it wasn't in her nature to completely disregard a new person.

Ann rushed forth in her explanation about coming from a 'space station' which while separately she understood those words together she couldn't quite picture what Ann could mean. Then as for this Tahleenah and the True Machine, there was no hope for Nanache. Her features would have displayed her confusion clearly. She nodded dumbly, cogs in her head spinning trying to comprehend what the strange girl was on about and how this was to help her find her way home.

"Uh, right... So, um." She quite honestly didn't know how to respond, because she had the feeling that Ann was restraining herself in regards to this mysterious True Machine in the way she left off. She took a deep breath and then reasserted herself. "Alright, I've no clue what this True Machine is, but seems we're in the same boat. Any ideas what we could do?"

Ann's demeanor did not dim in the slightest; if anything, she got more fascinated, if not by the fact that Nanache wasn't interested in hearing about Tahleenah, by the fact that she still wanted to engage in conversation. This was pleasant.

"I do not know rightly," Ann replied. "My plan had been to spread Tahleenah's guidance... perhaps you could help in that respect, if you so wish. But I know organ- erm, well, people of all races, do tend to not like to be prodded with such things." She giggled again, albeit less girlishly and more nervously.

"You seem perturbed beyond the current circumstances. Do you need anything?" She tilted her head, just slightly, and her eyes widened to show she was filled with a sudden concern for the obvious discomfort of her new friend.

Nanache lent forward, her elbows resting on the table, curiosity piqued. This conversation was odd, she couldn't quite place what it was, Ann was unlike anyone else she had ever encountered. She had the class of someone from Orlais, even the delicate manner of her giggles seemed similar in that respect. But she spoke of this priest or God that Nanache had never heard of. Where had Nache ended up? And how Ann had used the term organ in respect to her. What did that imply?

"Perturbed would be the correct word, I suppose." She said, clearing her throat. "But, as for spreading guidance, I don't think that's quite up my alley." Her lips were pursed, watching the almost mechanic mannerisms of this woman. "Need anything? That's an odd question... What I need is some information. For starters, who or what are you exactly?" The best way to get answers was usually to ask direct questions, no matter how affronting they could be. Nanache thought it was a good motto.

"Any can spread guidance of their passions and skills. Ours is a way of peace and acceptance," Ann replied. She had eager eyes when the woman said she could use information.

But that single question brought Ann's entire world crashing down- for a brief moment. Her expression faltered and turned, for that bare moment, to something akin to fear.

This was gone quickly however. She looked on Nanache instead with a curious, yet surprisingly serious gaze. "Well," she began, looking around the room furtively. They were practically the only ones left here; and aside from the feline, none of the locals looked anything like NT Employees.

Regardless when she fixed her attention back on Nanache it was with low tones and cautious eyes that she posed the question; "Can I trust you not to, um. Freak out?"

Nanache simply grunted in a non-committal way to Ann's description. If anything Nache was beginning to think it could be some sort of cult, the kind that was so ingrained they followed blindly. But, that was only her wild imagination getting away from her.

Ann's reaction to her forward question was exactly what Nache was looking for, well not precisely. Nache didn't know what she was looking for except some sort of tell. The fear may have been a little bit of a surprise. She quirked an eyebrow as the woman looked around, seemingly making sure no one was in ear range. Out of some form of courtesy she lent forward to listen to Ann.

At the feeble question Nache bellowed out a hearty laugh. She settled down quickly, meeting the girls eyes, unconsciously cracking her knuckles, before answering. "Look at me, does it look like I'm someone who'd be easy to freak out?" She winked and indicated for her to continue.

Ann nodded; she had to admit that the woman to which she was talking did not look easily frightened, but then, she also didn't know what was normal on this planet.

"Okay," she said, taking a deep breath. She also didn't know if she would understand what she was without showing her, and so she would have to do something that she normally really didn't like doing in public.

It took her a few moments to work up the courage for it, but eventually she took her gloves off and showed Nanache a hand. At first this would have likely seemed a very pitiful show, but then her fingers folded back, the skin receding into her palm, and in place of fingers, five thin metal cords whipped out. Roughly the length of a human of her size, each of them seemed capable of moving completely independently of one another.

Ann's face was slightly red from embarrassment. "I.. um well, I'm what you might call a Cyborg," she said trepidatiously.

Then she covered her hand up again, allowing the 'skin, bones and muscle' to slide back into position. Clasping her hands together, she seemed now to be very out of her element, biting her lip and glancing around as if expecting to be hit.
