So there are many of them, thought the cyborg again. I wonder under what circumstances were they brought here? Pressure from an enemy unit, perhaps? The same as Gadget? She would have to inform Grennel. He would be very interested.

"Indeed. It is unlike many I have seen. We have bikes that transform, but not nearly in the same way. You say they are called SPIRES. How are they worked, if I may inquire?"

Elves. Elves!? Like...Gian, then. What a surprise. She had not met an elf since leaving the desecrated earth. Home. However...besides the pointed ears and blue eyes, he was much different than Gian. He was tall and slender and very slim, while Gian was short, stout, and had jet black hair. This elf in front of her was certainly more dashing than Gian would even wish to be. She caught her lens zooming in more than she intended from her interest.

"I have never heard of such technology. Is it very common where you come from? Are you a military power? A gang? Racers?" Of course they were not racers. What was she thinking?

Her force lifters, the bright, floating rings underneath her bike, flared as she rose higher. Other than the soft sigh of the engine, they made no sound.

"I see," responded Naria, her vision flicking to the one beside the elf. Her hands clenched onto the handles within the flaps at the side of the bike. The light atop her cybernetic headgear began to blink rapidly. Her white hair, greatly in contrast with her dark skin, fell into her face.

"You say you are an elf, but you are very different from my friend, who we also call an elf. You are much taller, much paler. It is strange."

"In fact, they were," she said, raising a brow. "I know nothing of a natural elf. Gian certainly has better reflexes than us most, but he is very short. Comes to my waist, but not stubby. Not like a dwarf." She thought about this. Perhaps this was a different genetic code? It certainly seemed more useful in some ways.

"Yes. I am a cyborg. It was not of my own will to get them at first, but they have become a true part of me. The implants are what keeps me alive. Some rip off their own working limbs to get them, however."

This was getting stranger and stranger. They were speaking of a lot of things that Naria had encountered back on radiated earth. "Do these bugs happen to be very large in size? By the sound of it, they certainly are carnivorous. It sounds very much like the spiders back where I come from."

Perhaps...

"You know of the planet earth, maybe? Are you familiar with the eastern sector? Maybe Europe?"

"Ah...understandable..." So it was a completely different universe after all. She had almost began to hope that there was still other sectors that lived. They had not come into contact with the European or Australian sectors since she was a child. She thought that...

Heaving a sigh, the cyborg became emotionless once more. Something was happening to her body. It was not correcting her feelings the way it should have. Not quickly enough, anyway. "I am from earth. Probably a different one from yours. It is not as old as your own. No, I do not think so. But we have come here, hoping for a new home to look forward to. Is that the same with yourselves?"

She came in. That cyborg woman who found herself coming back. Her right arm was a complete machine, all up to her shoulder. Two thin tubes ran out from the first half above her elbow to the second half below. Her left eye was a cybernetic implant, as well, made into a zoom-lens. Though, the way her clothing was designed, one could not tell if her arm implant did not stretch below her pits and down her side. She looked within the bar, both her human and robot lens peering around.

Well, then. There was a robot. That might pose minor problems, but the hacker was determined to actually try and enjoy herself. The two newest members come back to join Gadget HQ from post-nuclear earth had been very stressful to deal with.

Hopefully his human would take care of him.

The cyborg caught sight of the man who had been staring at her, and similarly, she stared back. The lens zoomed up considerably, twisting and looking upon the man. Sweepers. "Something you want?" she asked, slowly walking toward him. Barely a sound was made from her mechanical parts.

She stood in front of him, wearing a shirt baggy enough to be a dress and a pair of tight black leggings underneath. Not something usual for a cyborg, but whenever did she get to dress down it was usually very comfortable. She was not complaining.

"Have I spoken to you before? What is your interest in me?"

Naria's eye absolutely scanned that mask of his. Many details were taken in, but she could not make out where it came from. However, things of the Old World she knew little about. She supposed that was where this man was from. How mistaken she did not know she was. "Mechandendrite? I do not know about those, but I am surprised you know of something even close to my own kind. I hope we are not in bad league with your own." As they seemed with many.

As the large man behind her yelled out for an arm wrestle, Naria looked at her slender human hand. Devoid of any bulging muscle, the limb was very feminine and weak. However, the mechanical arm was much different. She smiled. "Very well. I shall oblige." She walked over to sit across from him. "Does this work the normal way or do you do this differently?"

She had encountered very different methods of arm wrestling before. It was all very strange.

"Very well. I do not think I could be able to face you with my normal arm. But we shall see how well I have done creating this myself." She held out the exact arm asked, the nutrient tubes quickly surging before she flexed the fingers, as if testing it.

"I am ready. But I wonder if you are?" she asked. The mech arm did have a lot of strength, but she was never able to test the limits. Not yet.

"Good," said Naria, "Because I am ready now." She grasped Sweepers' hand, though his own was sure to swallow her own. Though the arm was powerful, it was not bulky. It had the same thickness as her human arm as not to set off the balance, but it was heavy. She readied for his strength to bear down, then applied her own, grinning all the while.

The thick, reinforced steel and rare metals put into the arm were not thought to break anytime soon, not on Naria's watch. She would surely give up before a crack was registered, for flashing across her vision were constant diagrams and numbers that warned her of how much she was pushing the arm.

As he pushed back, she let on the force, the nerve readers taking messages from her brain and applying what strength she thought she needed. He was...mightily strong. She did not expect this from a mere human, but they seemed matched so far. She was not even breaking a sweat, though...she wouldn't be no matter how much she tried.

"Oh? So is this the strength of your kind? Should I be disappointed or should I be enlightened?" she asked, applying more force. She was not about to lose if she could help it. She went on, a laugh almost bubbling in her throat. "Well? Come on! Come on! Keep going!"

Orange went past her vision. She frowned. She let go of some of the pressure, and the nutrient tubes began to surge wildly. "Hmph. I should not speak so soon."

In the idea that there was a mindreader in their midst, what better to do than to send someone in who, technically, did not have thoughts? That was what they were testing when Naria came in, the cyborg hacker. Upon her head was a flat metal device that connected to her brain. Most of what were Naria's actual 'thoughts' that could be read were actually released to be slight feelings, such as hunger or desire. Thoughts were recorded as files in a computer. Actual data, read things, were also in the computer within her brain. Unless someone was a hacker, they could not get to the information.

And so, the cyborg came into the bar, blinking slowly as she flexed her fingers on her right cybernetic arm.

The Gadget hacker would veer at Rin, her own computer quickly slashing at any attempt to try and worm its way into her system. "Ah-ah," she said to her, locking her computerized mind tot he girl. "I don't know what you're trying, but you won't be getting anything out of me." she told her, going towards the bar. She was waiting for another hacker, hopefully to talk.

"It is not AI. I am not some kind of Fabrication Unit within the Arena Corps." Most who had been reading the news would know of the large explosions that had occurred in the arena just a week and a half ago when the Arena Corps had come. They would also know of an escaped fabrication. Little might Rin have known that she had met that very fabrication just days back.

"Like yourself? I am not sure all of what that entails, but if you are speaking of a cyborg, then yes, I am one of them."

What was left of Naria's brain was nearly dead. The only thing keeping it alive was the machine, the data, the support that she needed to live. It was the same with the right side of her body. Though it seemed only her arm may be robotic, many replacements lay below her ribs, none of which contained her heart, but kept together other important organs.

"Bioroid? Sounds familiar. I cannot quite place it, however," said Naria, looking up to Rin. "I was not a machine sculpted. I was human. These are nearly new." However new almost a decade was. Had it...really been that long?

"I am Naria Walker, hacker of Gadget. Pleased to come into your acquaintance, as well, Rin Attenborough."

Really, Naria would not know why Gadget would become an enemy of a girl who could turn into a horse, of all things. They were more interested in getting Henry back from the Taiyou and fighting the remaining Scrapers coming to kill them. Oh, and getting back at the cult. That's right.
Priorities.

"Gadget is the local gang here. We are just a bunch of people trying to survive. Our world is not in a good shape, barely struggling. We find this one much more..." She tried for a word.

"...operable."

"It was ravaged by a nuclear was years ago. I was not there for it. It was long before our time, but we suffered the consequences of previous generations. You can say we will never forgive our ancestors for the abuse, even as humankind still tries to kill itself." Naria closed her eyes.

"I do not know of an STMC. If this is an old world contraption, I have not encountered it."

Her eye-lens zoomed up on Abbie for a second, but as she rushed out, the cyborg merely shrugged.

"That is unfortunate. Our people merely went underground. I suppose anything going by thought we were all dead. But our troubles were within our own world...until we came here. Which was a blessing, really." she said, sitting down at the bar, beckoning over Rin. "But I see you all have gone through a larger tragedy."
