The door of the bar swung open briefly to admit a youthful looking boy with mid-length blonde hair and moderately girlish features inside, clad in a simple jacket and jeans and with an expression of wry curiosity on his face. His half-sister had warned him away from this place, but that had only piqued his interest.

Nathan Hart made his way through the bar at a casual pace, observing the patrons and various oddities. As he walked, he overheard Ouranos mentioning that he was on the police force, and turned his head toward the man with interest. Gathering his social wits about him, he approached him and the girl he was speaking to, lifting a hand in a half-wave.

"Hey!" he began, "Sorry to interrupt, but I did I hear you say you're on the police force?" he asked the man.

Nathan Hart smiled and extended a hand in greeting. "Are you on the Wing City force? You might know my half-sister! I'm Nathan Hart -- my sister's Sonya?" he asked, inclining his head.

"She's in the SOD, though, so you might not have a lot of contact with her even if you are." he added as an afterthought.

"A contract killer huh?" Nathan raised an eyebrow. "I feel awfully mundane by comparison. My most high profile job was a pianist in a restaurant, and that dried up a few months back."

Nathan Hart blinked at Tear. "A Jedi? I've never met one of them before. I mean, they're out there, and you see the occasional news article about a whole village of them going through worship... I didn't realise it was all so serious until I saw that."

The blonde youth smiled, "But hey, your religion, your choice."

"Isn't that a video g... Never mind. This is the multiverse, after all." Nathan coughed, glancing back at Ouranos. "So how long have you been with the WCPD?"

"Nothing, nothing." Nathan smiled reassuringly, "Just ignore me. I'm far too real-world for this sort of conversation, it makes my head explode. Metaphorically, of course."

"Twenty five? Wow. You don't look it." Nathan raised an eyebrow, "What's your name, by the way? I don't know if I said earlier, I'm Nathan."

Nathan Hart observed the conversation idly with raised eyebrows. Going by the talk, then what Sonya had told him was true. This place was batshit.

Nathan Hart notes that method of tying shoelaces is cool. Gives Ouranos props, in his mind.

"Yeah well, I have excellent job prospects, a bright and academic future, and a high likelihood of monetary success! Eat that, boomerang man."

"I think the most accurate thing this could be compared to would be a 'my penis is bigger than your penis' contest." Nathan commented idly, leaning on his elbow on the table next to Ouranos boredly.

"Sooooo..." Nathan glanced at Ouranos. "What do you do, aside from your job? For fun, I mean."

"Yay for drinking!" Nathan grinned. "Fencing, though? Nice. I'm a dancing fan myself." The blonde boy crossed his legs over and adjusted his hair. "I don't have a lot of time for major hobbies apart from that -- I have to study a lot. I'm doing Literature and Classics at Uni at the moment."

Nathan Hart stared at the gun, forming an 'o' with his mouth. "Oooh." he said, "Niiice. I'm not even a gun fan, but that just looks cool."

Nathan Hart lamented a world where people were prepared to commit murder just because a person was irritating.

Nathan Hart also ignored The Agent, because random bar attacks were silly.

Nathan Hart yawned, and stood, turning to Ouranos. "Well, I ought to be heading off. I have work to do, and not too long to do it." the blonde boy smiled, "Nice talking to you!"

With that, Nathan walked away, blowing a friendly kiss at the other as he did so. "Buh bye!"

"Will do!" Nathan called back, grinning. He ought to hang around with Sonya more often, she might have more cute nice colleagues!

Nathan smiled with thanks to Dom when the lemonade was handed over, loosening one hand from its crutch to pick up the glass. "Thanks," he said, before frowning. How to get from point A to point B with the addition of one glass of lemonade... a perplexing question.

Ah well. He could just drink it at the counter. And did so. Nathan leant himself on the bar and watched the bar, keeping his weight on his good leg.

The small boy frowned slightly, "How do you mean?"

"Oh, I see. You're trying to suggest that the content of my glass makes a statement about what type of person I am?" Nathan responded, almost cheerfully. "Seems rather silly when you say it bluntly, doesn't it?"

Nathan smiled. "But no hard feelings. Besides, don't you have to be twenty one to buy alcoholic drinks?"

"Oh. Sorry." Nathan shrugged. "I'm Nathan, Nathan Hart." If Jack had been keeping up to speed with what was going on in Wing City, he'd probably recognise the name. Almost being murdered tended to make local news. Not quite as much as being murdered, but then, you probably didn't care after that.

"And you?"

"It's nice to meet you too, Ben." Nathan smiled, "Are you a regular here then? I don't come here very often. I spend a lot of time at home these days ..."

Nathan wasn't a huge fan of the way he was being coddled since the attack. But, then, he couldn't really blame his family. It was, you know. Almost murder. Sort of a big thing.
