Nimand

A horselord of a far off steppe, wandering far from home for the call of destiny.

0 · 131 views · located in Kazzei Plains

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by rasputin45

Description

Like many of his kind, Nimand is a nomadic mounted warrior who has known nothing but the endless dry grasslands and the constant warfare of the hordes. But unlike his kind, Nimand was out of place. Yes, he had family and friends but these he grew to care less of and the constant war he began to tire of. His only fixed joy was his steed, Szen. One day he felt a call of something deep inside, that bade him to travel beyond the lands he knew, away from his people. Nimand and Szen travelled through mountains and water, never knowing what their destination was, only that it was a destination. Whatever it was, a Force was pulling them along, and it took them to the plains of Kazzei, not unlike the steppes they once knew but different enough to be a marvel. Little did they know was that the journey had just begun.

Age: 51
Height: 5'6

The wandering nomad and his chestnut mount wandered down the slope with the full breathtaking breadth of the plains ahead of them. Both man and creature were tired from the long journey that bore them here, but they were in silent agreement that they should at least complete the last leg to a source of water before they enjoyed a rest

Time was an enigma here. The downward hike towards the nearest stream might have been a few minutes or several hours, and yet it didn't matter either way. That strange energy ––push or pull, a tension, some sort of force–– that had led Nimand and Szen on their way was engulfing them down like a wellspring. The uneasy sense of distance and time, as well as the general aura of flowering life (and its darker counterpart) all, felt wrapped up in this strange feeling of energy. Most of all, this place, whatever it was, was a place of peace. And yet...

"There was once conflict here," Nimand said aloud, to his own surprise. His own ominous words seemed strange to his eyes, which saw nothing but beautiful plains and rolling hills, creatures of every kind frolicking without a fear to be had.

Yet the more he felt, the more he knew what he had said was true. Men and machines had travelled to this place, and although they may not have made war as Nimand had seen in the steppes of his forefathers, they had brought conflict here, to a sacred place that had forbidden it.

Once they reached it, the horse slipped into the stream to gulp at the water, and Nimand was only half as desparate for a drink. With cupped hands he threw some water up to his face and stood up again. The now damp Szen gave a quizzical look (or as quizzical an expression an equine face could give).

"We must keep going," Nimand explained. "Whatever is pulling us here is close. We should not rest until we find it."

The pink haired woman was for the moment not there at the very least as a cab flew ever nearer to where the ginger and white Lothcat laid in the grass. Perking up an ear as the cabs engines got closer however, Lee didnt know what to expect. But then seeing the massive, at least to her current form, vessel bearing down on her the lothcat tried growling at it, but it didnt seem t odeter the cabbie driving the cab. With a upset moan the Lothcat turned and booked it. Activating her hardlight hologram belt as she did so she was quickly running on two legs and dove over a hilltop. easily over reaching a small stream where a man and his horse were getting a drink.

the woman chriped startled and easily rebounded off the older mans horse without so much as a feather tickling the chin of it before slamming with a brief roll onto the grasslands on the other side of the two. Sitting up from the grass the woman looked around with her pink and red eyes. Where was the offending Speeder ? She saw the cab not far away and growled something. Almost catlike in the way she stood up and headed for it.

But then another thought hit her, had she hurt the man and his own mount ? Turning towards Nimand she looked at the man slightly confused, he didnt look hurt, maybe just startled ? Of course there was a way to tell that the woman was not a natural human being, her head slightly tilted in a curious expression upon her pale face.

FazCab 1 veered sharply away from the woman and zagged back onto path shortly after, barreling off and away from the horse and river. When it almost reached the half horizon FazCab 1 took a hesitant turn north, thought better of it, and careened slightly more westward.

A phantom wandered through the sacred halls of the Jedi Archive. It was not a phantom of death, however, or the ghost of some long past Force master, but rather a machine molded in the shape of a man. Light flowed like water around a durasteel chassis, obscuring the being’s form from most mundane senses. The Agent of Wrath stalked the aisles of bookshelves and servers, servos silent and muffled.

It had been there a long time - almost as long as the archive itself - like a fly on the wall or a shadow at the edge of a librarian’s peripherals. Stories had circulated over the years about a ghost that wandered the halls. Tomes would be misplaced, files with odd access records, or data outright missing, but no signs were ever discovered to the cause. Sometimes, however, a visitor would come that was particularly sensitive to the Force -- and they would sense a presence. Neither light, nor dark… just simply there.

Nimand stared. He had never seen a woman so pale or so ethereal as the one that now looked directly back at him. She was particularly present. Yes, he could see her, but there was something more. He felt aware of her. Nimand had always felt an intuitive sense of things in a way he could barely describe. He could always feel a person approach and he always knew where certain friends (chief of which, Szen and any other horse he knew well) could be found, but he had always assumed this was basic human instinct, or at least the honed instincts of a warrior of the steppes. However, he could feel that there was something powerfully present in the woman before him.

Szen must have thought the same. The still-damp horse was edging towards her. He nuzzled her, curiously, trying to figure her out.

"Forgive my friend," Nimand said, although he made no move to stay the horse. "Who are you?

Lee was briefly spooked by the closeness of the horse, She did not know the massive animals name, but to a Lothcat she was briefly scared but had to keep up appearances. So whe nthe hortse came close and nuzzled her she struggled hard not to shriek in fear or growl and forced herself to relax.

She couldnt place it, but Nimand reminded her of someone. but since he had askled her name, and saw she was unharmed, and at the moment unarmed. Lee replied. "Lee is Lee." She pointed at herself, referring to herself in third person, like a Jawa would

"Nimand," the man gestured to himself and then the horse, "that's Szen. We're from afar. Do...do you know what this place is?"

Lee shook her head no, she had no idea what was there, she felt drawn to it really. She didnt know why nor could the Lothcat explain it. "Lee does not know" She finally said, once more referring to herself in third person. Lee of course was trying to find an old friend, a young man native to Lothal. Ezra Bridger.

Neither do I. I could say what brought me here but a strange feeling. Did something lead you here as well?

Lee thought a brief moment then nodded. "Lee is trying to find someone important" She finally said. Meaning trying to find Ezra and got lead to that location. However dshe also had the weird speeder taxi for nearly plowing into her at the time. She produced a hologram of Ezra, now a nice looking young man, the last time she saw him before going to take down those stormtroopers guarding the TIE Defender. "Lee is trying to find this man. Lee followed her visions and was lead to here." She said
