Olca The Berserker

Race: Human/Berserker
Alias: The Cursed Swordsman, Ullize (Demon-Born), Berserker
Age: 26
Nationality: Unknown
Birthplace: Unknown
Hobby: Sleeping
Friends: Sarah
Likes: Fighting, Sleeping
Height: 6’7

Physical Appearance

Olca is a tall and muscular man, standing about 6’7 with short, spiked, black hair fashioned in a crew cut. His hair has a small fringe of white in the front, presumably due to the stress of constantly being hunted down by demons and foul spirits. He has a lean and serious face that is easily mistaken to have an angry and dark expression with black and narrowed eyes that possess a predatory stare compared to canines. His skin is a darkish tan, rough, and heavily scarred from head to toe, the most notable being a lacerated scar on his nose.

He does possess canine teeth and pointed ears, further giving him the appearance of an evil and demonic man though he is simply a Human in the end. His left arm in particular is tainted black from an encounter with a powerful poison he barely survived. As such, he keeps his arm completely concealed.
Olca is the bearer of a cursed brand that takes over his right eye. The eye itself is pitch black and devoid of anything, as such giving him a frightful appearance. Olca was born with his eye, only furthering his name as the demon born child. The eye acts much like a curse on him, giving him extraordinary pain at times and also giving him recurring realistic nightmares that have been known to cause him physical pain and damage. It is believed the eye attracts evil spirits and demons to him at night. To avoid people being fearful of him, he has a habit of keeping his right eye closed. A brand also appears on his neck which glows when the cursed eye begins activating itself.

Personality

Due to his harsh and violent upbringing, Olca is an incredibly resilient man. Despite the hardships he is meant to suffer due to his cursed nature, he has grown and gained both strength of body and mind. He has a worldly view on things and the people around him and is both incredibly loyal and selfless to those precious few who managed to fight their way into his heart.

He mostly keeps away from most people, preferring to be independent and work alone with little to no social interaction with others in order to protect the people around him. The cursed brand on his eye draws in wretched creatures of hell and darkness and anyone around him is guaranteed to become entrapped in the endless battles he is forced to partake in as he is constantly under attack. This, his abandonment and the loss of many of his closest friends makes him stay away from forming many personal relationships as he still feels a deep, strong sense of loss to those who were killed around him.

These experiences have left him emotionally damaged, possibly even numb to life in general.
Olca has an insatiable anger and blood lust that cannot be hoped to be tamed nor satisfied, though whether this is because of his upbringing, traumatic experiences or being cursed is quite unclear. He is in a constant and endless battle with himself in order to keep what he calls the “beast” in check, lest he let his rage take over and become a mindless violent beast unable to determine friend or foe. This blood lust drives Olca to live for battle, needing no real need or reason to take up his sword and shed the blood of those who would be his enemy. It is strongly believed that Olca is a descendant of a clan of Berserkers, and as such his natural hunger for battle and his endless rage would be something he is doomed to deal with for the rest of his cursed life.

In battle, the man has little concern over his own well being which makes him reckless and fearless, willing to sacrifice everything simply to swing his sword once more. He once stated that he fights simply because that is what he was born to do, that he doesn’t have a need or cause. That simply rushing into battle, and swinging his blade to strike the flesh of others as many times as he could were all he knew. As such, he is often compared to a barbarian as he has no code of honor or morality in battle, winning by any means available. Olca has been shown to easily ignore most of the injuries he sustains in battle, not suffering any debilitation despite incurring multiple lacerations that would disable anyone else. Thus he always fights to his limit, soldiering on even when heavily wounded, completely disregarding the fact that his injuries could worsen further by pushing himself.

Because he is just a normal human, the strength to carry, much less to use and wield a sword of such magnitude with finesse and dexterity makes Olca a grandmaster swordsman of no ordinary level and skill. This is shown in every battle or duel that he partakes in, especially when he is engaged with demonic beings. Perhaps unsurprisingly, he is also skilled at using a variety of bladed weapons, has knowledge on how the mechanism of complicated ranged weaponry works, as well as being an excellent equestrian. His large frame is deceptive, as Olca is capable of great speed, feats of dexterity and possesses remarkable agility for a human of his size and stature. This is most notable when he is engaged with multiple foes.

Olca's ferocity, fury, aggressiveness, and strength do much to conceal the cunning person within him. He is very perceptive, quick witted, clever, and a skilled strategist; all of it going hand in hand with his strength, these being the major reasons why he had survived the countless encounters with unbelievable odds so far. Despite his seeming disregard for any strategy in his fights, he is adept at finding and exploiting weaknesses in his opponent’s techniques, utilizing his perceptiveness well. It is also used in less violent situations, allowing him to notice traits in people that others wouldn’t normally grasp. These unexpected but undoubtedly useful traits allow him to formulate strategies to work around his own disadvantages in battle.

All this makes Olca an extremely complex individual who is often taken by strangers to be so many things that he simply is not. These misunderstandings he lets go unchallenged, tending to keep quiet and let people assume what they will of him as this allows his enemies to underestimate him, giving him a distinct advantage in combat. It also has the extra effect of helping him stay away from others, making it much easier to not involve them in the possible dangers that those around him seem fall in effortlessly.

Equipment

Tenro ("Heavenly Wolf") A sentient weapon that gains nourishment by feeding off blood and energy of others. This ability lets Tenro due various things. By feeding off foreign energy (magic, elemental spells, arcane arts, demonic energy, heavenly energy, chakra), Tenro can use the energy to heal injuries to it's wielder or replenish the wielders energy reserves (In Olca's case, his stamina as he has no foreign energy sources such as magic). By feeding off blood, Tenro can instead replenish itself and grow larger and more powerful with the more blood it feeds on. As such, Tenro is somewhat considered "indestructible" in terms that if it is destroyed, Tenro can rebuild itself by feeding off blood. As a sentient weapon, Tenro can choose it's owner. It has become particularly attached to Olca due to his own blood lust and rage which Tenro finds fitting for a weapon that loves battle just as much as it's owner. When someone who Tenro doesn't like wields it, it becomes nothing but a hunk of metal that couldn't even slice through a leaf as it instead repels anything it comes in contact with.

In terms of size, Tenro is ridiculously large. The weapon was created to be wielded by giants, so for an ordinary human to wield, much less master and become so in tune with the blade is incredible in itself. The weapon specializes in destroying anything not human, such as demons, angels, and other foreign supernatural creatures. The blade is even capable of attacking otherwise untouchable creatures such as ghosts, apparitions, and shadow based creatures as it is an anti-supernatural weapon. Being made to slay supernatural creatures, Tenro dislikes Human blood and as such tends to negate any of it's special abilities when combating another ordinary Human(except for Olca's blood which for unknown reasons Tenro seems to be fond of.)

The weapon itself is unimpressive at first sight, being compared to "too large, too heavy, and too rough" for actual combat. It has been compared to a large hunk of iron versus an actual combat oriented weapon. As such, many people, along with Tenro's insatiable appetite, find the weapon both too difficult to master and too difficult to please. Olca has been Tenro's longest and only known living partner.

Abilities

Grand Master Swordsmanship Specialist: Olca’s skill with his sword has been honed to a mastery level, due to the lawlessness and violence of his childhood, letting him strike multiple times with changes of attack type without any difficulty. Due extensive training at a very young age with his master, he can wield his 7’ long sword with incredible speed and dexterity with only one hand. His inhuman strength and skill in swordsmanship allows him to fight with only one hand with incredible ease. He only uses both hands when faced with opponents he feels will beat him otherwise.

Paranormal Hunting: Through years of constant combat with creatures superior in speed, strength, and filled with otherworldly powers, Olca is a master at hunting paranormal creatures. His skills range depending on the creatures he is forced to fight. He contains considerably knowledge in Exorcism, Demonology, Religious Folklore, and many other aspects of paranormal hunting. He is adept in martial arts, firearms, explosives, and reverse engineering. This, armed with his already extraordinary combat abilities let him best creatures who are physically and magically superior to himself.

Monstrous Strength: Perhaps due to years of training with ridiculously heavy swords, Olca has a large degree of physical strength, most commonly displayed by his ability to fight back his opponent’s attacks with a single arm. Olca’s entire fighting style revolves around his raw power, and mastering it to the degree he has only makes him a deadly force to be stopped. His ability to break through defenses and overpower most is only matched by his ability to wield his weapon with finesse and dexterity and make it seem almost weightless in his hands.

Raw Speed: While Olca possesses little skill in footwork , he is shown to be deceptively fast for his size and build. Thanks to his tremendous raw power, his leg strength allows him to more than make up for his lack of footwork and grace, allowing him to dash and move fast enough to instantly close a huge gap of space between him and the opponent. Even with his massive sword, he is able to strike with incredible speed in rapid succession, making it highly difficult for his opponents to find and opening and counterattack.

Immense Durability: His monstrous strength is matched equally by his durability, Olca has been shown to easily ignore most of the injuries he’s sustained in battle (much like a berserker), not suffering any debilitation despite having multiple slash wounds in his body. There have been cases where he purposely allowed himself to be injured, simply to gain an edge in battle to strike a fatal blow to his opponent. His durability is to such a level, that he had gained mortal wounds and continued fighting at full power without an effect on his form or skill, though it should be noted most normal men would have already died by this point.

Berserker Trance: Whether from his traumatic experiences, or the curse that plagues him every day of his life, Olca has a dark inner beast that is a manifestation of all the hated and evil that dwells within his soul; the monster he has become as a result of the life he has led as the Cursed Swordsman. Though he resists it, he can’t help but listen to its urges to give in to his dark desires and have no care for anything else. When his blood lust exceeds his limit, or when he allows the beast to take over, Olca becomes nothing more than a beast, which destroys and attacks everything in his wake.

The adrenaline pumping through his body is possibly enhanced by his natural bestial instinct that allows him to surpass his limitations and fight at his full strength, unhindered by pain and fear. In this trance, he wears his full armor, which resembles a dog-like creature and attacks at full force regardless of broken bones or ripped up tendons. He resembles nothing more than a wild animal, unable to speak, only growling, howling, and even barking like a wild dog or wolf. He pushes his body past its limitation, granting him increased power, speed, durability, and stamina until the blood lust is satisfied.

It is unknown if Olca is a normal Human due to his unique and powerful Berserker Trance. It has been guessed that perhaps Olca is the sole survivor of a clan who gained numerous supernatural abilities that relied on anger, rage, and violence. These people were known simply as Berserkers, fighters who would shed blood only for the thrill of fighting and destroying everything that surrounded them, unable to distinguish friend from foe.

Olca seemed to stare at the structure of Gambits from the outside for a long moment before deciding to take a step in. He had heard numerous rumors of this bar, ranging from its violence to its large and diverse social crowd that seemed to take enjoyment in residing here. He made his way in, stepping through the doors and needing to crouch a bit to be able to enter, as his large 6'7 figure stepped through the doors. Without much looking around he made his way to the counter and took a seat, as he began dusting the dirt and snow off his cloak and armor. It looked like he had been traveling for quite a while before reaching Gambits on this day.

Olca didn't really seem to pay much mind to his surroundings but he had quietly noticed the stranger a few seats over, Aryachecking for her steel cane. Whether out of habit or whether his presence somehow threatened her, he decided to remain quiet on the subject. His large brutish physique and serious demeanor had that kind of reaction on most people. So whether it was his doing or not, he was use to such reactions and never really let them get to him as he sighed and placed a pouch on the counter, dropping its contents, jewels and other gems on the table as he carefully sorted it out.

Olca turned his head towards her as he studied her for a moment, his right eye awkwardly completely closed as his left eye watched her curiously. He looked down at the items then up at her and then back down as he sorted through them once more. "I didn't mean to startle you with the noise." he stated awkwardly. It was obvious he wasn't trying to be rude but instead that he seemed to lack experience in social interaction with others.

Olca tilted his head softly, studying her as he realized she was speaking about herself in terms of being blind. A friend? He had not had many of those in his time due to various reasons though occasionally the sting of loneliness was cured by individuals such as herself who didn't treat him like some stereotypical villain. "Your presence was noticed." he stated calmly, though didn't really think about how creepy it sounded saying it like that. What was next? He failed in casual conversation. "...Olca" he stated calmly once more. Stating his name with no introduction like usual.

Olca looked down at her hand as he stood there for a moment wondering if it was appropriate to shake hands with a lady. He had old traditions in terms of manners and such things. He wiped his hand with a cloth quickly, not that she would see what he was doing, as he extended his hand and shook her hand gently, as if afraid to break her. "A pleasure to meet you." he repeated back towards her, as if studying her friendliness and mimicking it to make himself less awkward.

Olca didn't seem to be bothered much about her remarks on his grip. He usually let such things go without really caring much about it, he would rather be thought of as weak and be left alone then as strong and be sought after. "I'm a hunter." he stated sternly and confidently as if it was the most natural response in the world. "And yourself?"

Olca tilted his head slightly in confusion "You find things while being blind?" he stated rather bluntly. It never struck him as inappropriate to ask such a blunt question, probably due to his lack of experience in socializing and also probably in part due to just being plain dense on such matters.

Olca nodded his head, though mostly to himself seeing as she was blind. "Interesting." was his only response to that as he looked at her hair and her eyes. She didn't seem like a normal Human, perhaps she was something else? Or a different human such as himself? "Purple." was his only other word, mostly a reference to her hair.

Olca looked at her hair once again as he had a random urge to touch it, but decided against it. "Black..with a little white in the front." he stated calmly. He placed his hand on his hair, which despite never taking care of it much seemed to stay soft, though with a bit of dirt on it from traveling so often.

Olca stayed quiet for a minute as he leaned softly against the counter. "Where I come from, blue dye is rare. As such, rare is it anyone to wear any kind of purple. Purple is expensive, and as such only nobles and aristocrats could afford to wear anything purple. It's a sign of royalty, and considered to be elegant and full of beauty and health. You wear it naturally. You should wear it proudly. It fits your face."

Olca shook his head lightly as he watched her curiously "I would have confused you for royalty or of noble birth quiet easily." he stated quietly, obviously referring to her looks but deciding against dwelling too much on it. "And I am a mere peasant. There will be no monuments or statues built in my name, and when I pass my name will soon be forgotten. But that doesn't matter. I got to see a woman, neither royal or noble, but with the qualities to be both who has natural purple hair. That is something I can be proud of from this day forward." he nodded to himself confidently. He really was speaking without thinking about his words. He perhaps, became too comfortable speaking to this stranger.

Olca only thought through all this was -she was smart- if she could study materials. His brutish mind was only good at shedding blood and war tactics, as such he always had envy for those who could do such things though he did feel bad about bringing such things up. His right eye started burning as he looked around and sighed, they were coming for him early tonight. "It was a pleasure speaking with you Arya...it seems work is calling." though the way he said it suggested it was more severe then that.

Olca makes his way into Gambits once again, the scent of blood covering him with some red stains all across his clothing and a few new bandages and scars filling his large and giant physique. His blade, taller than his 6'7 figure was strapped tightly against his back as the large brutish man made his way to the counter to take a seat. A bandage covered half his face and right eye with some dry blood stains on his neck as he seemed to have an excessively hard night the day before. He grabbed the hilt of his blade, placing the abnormally large chunk of metal against the counter creating a rather large sound of iron smacking against wood, the blades weight causing the counter to shake roughly. A soft sigh escaped the large mans mouth as he tended to his new wounds in the middle of the bar.

Olca looked over to Arya as he stayed silent for a moment, rather surprised the woman had remembered his name. He looked down at his dirty and blood stained clothes as he then remembered she was blind and wouldn't notice such things regardless. "Hello there Arya." he stated rather quietly. He hadn't expected himself to be on such familiar terms with anyone so soon in Gambits.

Olca looked down at her hand questionably, wondering why this stranger seemed to be concerned for his well being. They hardly knew each other, and most reactions to him were negative as he was treated as a criminal or villain of some kind. Genuine concern was a foreign concept to someone such as himself. "Some of it is mine...most of it isn't."

Olca remained quiet for a moment as he pondered her question. No one had ever 'asked' if they should fear him, most just either did or simply hated him for no apparent reason. His brutish looks and large overwhelming figure was normally enough of a reason to either hate or fear him. He looked over at her and tilted his head "No." he said rather nervously.
