Description

ImageName: Paige Garcia
Age: 24
Gender: Female
Orientation: Bisexual
Occupation: Car thief. Not exactly an occupation of such, but that's how Paige makes her living. Stealing cars, taking them to parts shops or selling them to dealers.

Skills/Talents:
  • Hotwiring, obviously.
  • General mechanics.
  • Good enough with explosives to rig a car to blow if she wants to get rid of it -- as she has had to do on several occasions after the vehicle became too 'hot'.
  • A rough lass, Paige can more than hold her own in a fist fight, a knife fight, or a gunfight.
  • Naturally, a good driver.
  • A surprisingly capable knitter. For no good reason. Her grandma liked to teach her, okay? Shup!

Likes:
  • Cars (duh) -- Fast cars in particular.
  • Company.
  • Music.
  • Chocolate.

Dislikes:
  • Whiners. What Paige dubs those who have become repressed, depressed and generally emotionally crippled by something. She is of the attitude that life must go on, what's lost is lost, and emotions are for when you're alone -- or even to be kept entirely in your own head.
  • Stealing from/assaulting those who cannot afford it. An idealistic viewpoint, Paige doesn't approve of mugging people in general, but stealing from the heavily impoverished isn't something she would ever support.
  • Ragers. What Paige dubs those who are unnecessarily violent, be it murderously or not.
  • Rats, frogs, toads, and other similar creatures that she may not have encountered before. They creep her out. Mice are cute though.

Strengths:
  • Keeping calm in a heated situation -- or at least, calm enough to get pissed and not get herself killed in the process.
  • Socialising.
  • Not feeling guilty about things she has to do/people she has to kill.

Weaknesses:
  • Emotional relationships, sharing emotions.
  • Supporting people through inward hardship.
  • Using her 'inside voice' -- generally being quiet.
  • Subtlety.

Height: 5'9"
Weight: 143 lbs
Hair Color: Black
Eye Color: Blue
Complexion: Fair -- tattooed on all of her left arm, her very upper right arm and right forearm, the left side of her torso and another area that shall not be mentioned.
Physique: Noticeably, but not heavily muscled - athletic and slim.

Personality: Paige is cheerful, flirtatious, biting and generally a lover of fun in all its forms. Frequently spending time with the gangs of the city due to her 'career', Paige fits in with the crowd well -- a blase approach to law-breaking, a high regard for 'respect' and 'reputation' (though she never takes it one hundred percent seriously) and a general reluctance to allow the law to keep her from having her fun.

So begins...

A few minutes prior to the door swinging open, the loud hum of a car engine was obvious through the bar's windows -- one of those engines that seemed to be designed to wake the neighbours, and lets everyone know 'Hey! Nice to meet you -- my car can go really fast!'.

Paige Garcia slid out of the seat of her Mustang with a whistle, bumping the door shut with her hip and beeping it locked over her shoulder, leaving the bright yellow vehicle parked just outside the bar. The woman walked into the bar, brushing past Dallas as she did so, still whistling to herself, and continued to do so all the way up to the counter, upon which she leant forwards and flicked her fingers at the bartender.

"Yo. Be a sport and grab me a beer, would ya?" she asked, winking to whoever was serving. "I'm parched as fuck! Weather ain't got no right to be so damn hot!"

Paige Garcia glanced over her shoulder at Cloasse and Izumi, having caught something of their conversation as she walked past. Paige lifted her beer (which the bartender had promptly served her) towards the younger woman, nodding her head.

"Hey! Respect, you tell him! Looks like a scrawny little shit anyways. You can do better, girl! And he could do worse than stop tripping over his own tongue!" Paige called over -- never one to keep her nose out of other peoples' business.

"At least the guy's frank." Paige murmured, chuckling. At Cloasse's look, she simply winked. "Who needs daytime television..?"

"Coward." Paige scoffed loudly, loud enough for both of the couple to hear her. "Oldest trick in the book, breaking up with someone by getting them to do it for you." The woman knocked back a gulp of beer, tossing her hair. "You know what I think? I think you're just a pussy, who ain't got it in him to do the deed himself."

Paige clicked her tongue. "And laying hands on the girl ain't helping your case, jackass."

Girl power, for the win. At least, in Paige's mind.

Paige Garcia looked up from where she had been quietly observing Cloasse and Izumi, the latter with no small degree of disdain, to glance at Jaz Conner. Paige lifted an eyebrow at the redhead, kicking back a gulp of beer before turning to face her, leaning on the counter.

"Been a while, huh? You an oldie, then?"

"Paige." The woman tilted her beer bottle at Jaz in greeting, clicking her tongue. "Relatively new to this city myself, ain't had a chance to get to know the neighbourhood all that well. Seems like the same affair as most places, at the core of it. Sure, crazy shit goes down, you get crazy things flying about the place -- but people're people, in the end."

Paige Garcia grinned. "I dunno, seems a pretty remarkable place in itself. Ain't seen a bar with forcefields on the walls before, myself."

Paige took another swig of beer, shaking her head. "You like it here? I can see how someone could get used to it."

The young woman snorted at another of the patrons, glancing at Murkuro for a moment before looking back to Jaz. "Demon apple wine. What'll they think of next, eh?"

"Was like that when I got here." Paige grinned, "I always thought they made wine with grapes, but I guess that's just me." Another swig of beer followed. "What is it about the place you like?"

"Heh." Paige raised an eyebrow, "I ain't quite so high profile to get posters, most I have to do is clear out of dens when whatever idiot crew I'm hanging with at the time gets themselves bust. Sure, the cops aren't my buddies, but they ain't got nothing on me."

Paige looked over to Yanni, where Jaz gestured, and nodded. "Doesn't seem the most fun passtime, I'll warrant."

"Sounds like a blast. Most mishap I've caused is when I rig things to blow. Ain't anything spectacular or anything, just small scale -- cars mainly. If I can't offload 'em anywhere. Sometimes get paid for it."

Nodding, Paige leant back with a gulp of beer as Jaz moved over to Yanni, observing.

There was just something about late winter evenings that Paige liked. Maybe it was the chill, refreshingly ever-present... maybe it was the darkness, and the glittering lights that spread throughout the city, illuminating lives and homes...

Or maybe it was the fact that it was really easy to get away with car jacking when it was this dark. Especially when said car was a convertible, and it'd been really easy to pry back the roof with minimal damage.

Paige now had the panels beneath the steering wheel pulled off, and wires dangling down around her as she fiddled with various connections to try and achieve ignition. One pointedly severed wire (the car alarm) dangled helplessly to her left.

"Damn... complicated modern cars..." Paige muttered. "This was so much easier a few years ago."

Oh, hot damn.

"Okay, this is... totally not what it looks like."

Sure, Paige. Let's go with that. Now what the fuck else is it? Good luck on that one...

"... if you give me just a few minutes I'll be able to tell you what it is, but it totally isn't that thing that it looks like. It's very pointedly not that."

Doing well, so far. Real smooth.

"Would you believe that there was a bomb under the wheel and I was defusing it, and now I've removed it and no I can't show it to you because that's against, um... some regulations?"

"Sure, uh... I'll roll with that."

Paige slid up into a sitting position in the car, and swung her legs over the edge of the door, hopping out.

"Right... so, while you check for a bomb, I'ma go and ... dispose of harmful chemicals that I found. I'll be back in a nopeIactuallwon't."

And at that point, Paige turned and legged it.

"Like hell!" Paige shouted back, ducking sideways into an alleyway (wow, that was convenient!) and ricocheting off of the wall to dash down it.

That could totally have gone better, Paige thought to herself as she swerved around a cluster of trash cans, shoving them over with a backwards swipe of her hand to buy a few seconds.

Ah well, she'd gotten away hadn't she? Sure, she just had to turn the corner and...

"Ah, fuck! That is possibly the most inconsiderate place to put a fuckin' fence..!" Paige cursed as she almost ran straight into the wire fence towards the end of the alleyway.

Great, now she had to climb. Otherwise known as the art of being a sitting duck. Oh well. With a grimace, Paige took a running leap at the fence and assailed it as quickly as she was able.

Now, that was just malicious.

Paige teetered on the fence as Ksenia slammed into it before with a spiralling of arms and a string of curses, she fell backwards, landing with a loud grunt on the concrete.

Groaning, Paige pushed herself upwards and mentally surveyed the damage. She didn't think anything was broken -- but the arm she'd landed on was killing something awful. She must've twisted it. Lots of surface grazing... but apart from that, she was alright?

Could've gone worse.

Paige used the fence to clamber to her feet, and with her good arm reached for the handgun strapped to her waist, pointing it at Ksenia.

"Listen, just fuck off. I ain't got nothing against you, I don't go stealing peoples rides 'cause of some grudge, so just let me walk and we can have done with this shit." Paige said, scowling.

She really had no idea what kind of woman she was dealing with.

Rosh Zenzara checked his watch. It was almost time for his meeting in Club Nyt. He hustled into the club.
