Pallas, Satyr Waywatcher
Age: 139
Height: 6'11”
Weight: 420lbs
Physical Description:
Pallas is small for one of his kind, with a light and wiry build, made for lightness of step and quickness of hand, rather than straight-up physical dominance. His features are sharp and well-defined, golden eyes glinting from behind brooding brows, a pair of horns darting out of a auburn mane. The tattoos and marks of a Waywatcher curl and twist their way across his torso, somewhat visible through the clumps of matted fur that cling to his pelt and legs. For such a battle-hungry race, Pallas' form is barely marked by the struggles for tribal dominance, only a knotted puncture mark about the size of two closed fists in his abdomen hint at a life shaped by hunting and warfare.

Pallas is a loner among a social species. He prefers the company of the wild woods, with the dryads and tree-spirits, with the deer, wolf and boar. As a Waywatcher, he rarely speaks, the only announcement of his presence comes from the soft whistle of an arrow in flight, or the dull snuffle of Calydon, his monstrous boar. Pallas is fiercely protective of the wild lands, and sees even the presence of a outsider amongst them as an act of war.

Pallas carries a bow carved from the heart of a yew tree, as tall and supple as he is, with a string woven from the tendrils of a near-sentient vine that grows in the heart of his forest. This weapon can send an arrow flying with the force of a thunderbolt, striking silently and with deadly accuracy. He often smears his arrows with the venom of snakes, so that even a grazing shot will finish his foe.

For closer work, Pallas has a razor-sharp sickle, meant for cutting away harmful growths and weeds from his precious forest, but the honed blade can just as well cut throats and limbs.

Calydon is Pallas' mount and life-long companion. Standing at roughly five feet at the shoulder, and ten feet from tusk to tail, the boar is as imposing as his silent, whippet thin master. Tusks sprout from his craggy face, each point sharpened and smeared with venom. A makeshift saddle woven from rush-matting spans his considerable girth, his hide covered in blue woad tattoos, marking him as a mount for a Waywatcher.

So begins...
