PAREM'ZEL
The Mortal God

____________________

Once known across many worlds as an immortal god of justice, his divinity was tamed by the immeasurable beauty of a human woman. Sacrificing his divine power he did what no god should ever do... Parem became human. Permanently severing all ties to the wider cosmos, content to live a simple mortal life with his wife and eventually their three young children. But nothing good ever lasts, especially not for a former god. The gods were furious at Parem's betrayal of the divine order. They were forbidden to directly interact with mortals and Parem had utterly broken this most sacred cosmic law. For fifty years he and his wife lived peacefully on an isolated world in a small corner of the cosmos. But one day he arrived home to the horrific sight of his home burned to ashes. His wife and children smoldering corpses turning to dust before his eyes. Full of immense rage and sorrow, Parem swore upon the divine order that he would have vengeance upon those responsible and would not rest until justice was fulfilled. Now he wanders the cosmos from world to world, universe to universe hunting down his families murderer. Once a shining god of justice, now consumed by a desire for revenge. He has lost his love for humanity and his grief has brought him down a dark path. Taking part in a dark ritual to summon death itself. The Grim Reaper was unable to resurrect his wife, but instead gifted Parem with a new power. Establishing a blood pact with the grim reaper, he was gifted with the power of Soulmancy. Allowing him to tap into the power of his own soul, granting him the abilities to manipulate pure soul energy. Whether forming shields and force fields or crafting weapons of pure soul, sensing other living souls around him, firing blasts of energy from his hands, healing grievous wounds, even opening portals to other dimensions. However his soul is not infinite, the power of soulmancy while strong, burns away a tiny sliver of Parem's soul each time he uses his powers. If his soul is entirely burnt away, he will never again see his wife and children in the afterlife. As one of the souless, he would be forever doomed to serve death as a reaper. Thus he uses his power sparingly and only when absolutely necessary. A fallen god turned warlock of death, from justice to vengeance, from mercy to torment, from order to chaos, who knows where his path shall take him.

Master stares blankly for a moment, wondering how this traveler had gotten so far without some kind of guidance.

You have discovered Thor's Tavern, friend. Do you come with others, or is it just you?
he inquires, glancing around the empty room.
