Perdix

Clone of Ikiros the Atlantean.

0 · 355 views · located in Main Street 1

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by RydeDawg

Description

Unlike his Sister Afen, Perdix, is a nearly perfect clone of his father Ikiros. DNA taken from leftover skin cells from the very bow that Ikiros bribed Patrick Helsing with to cancel the hit placed on his head. After years of testing and advanced growth programs Perdix is ready to make his appearance in this world. Even though a clone Perdix's genetics where altered in a fashion to change the appearance of his face and body when compared to his Father. The boy has inherited the white hair of his father, but is kept short because of the Organization's dress and grooming rules for their agents. He stands as tall as Ikiros at 5' 10" but weighs 190 pounds. A mix of muscle and his artificial left arm and augmentation to the left side of his chest and back. Being born with a gimp left arm due to the defeats of the cloning process and growth program. Perdix wears a jet black tank top, blue jeans, and running shoes.

History

One of the Temple Empire's many experiments created to recreate the lost city of Atlantis. As time went on creating a perfect clone of the Atlantean was proving to become very difficult because of mutations and deformities in the resulting cases. Though the quest for creating the perfect clone never ended the Temple Empire took a different approach to creating a clone by taking DNA and placing it in a surrogate mother's egg. The resulting implications were much closer to the Temple Empire's goals though many of the Test subjects died either in the womb or after birth. Even more so the mothers of the clones usually died during child birth. That was until Afen was born and was considered the best subject and was quickly taken to the accelerated growth program. Shortly after her birth the division in charge of creating a perfect clone claimed that Perdix was created shortly after. The specimen was quickly taken to an incubator and growth chamber where he grew along side the same time frame as Afen but was never let out of his chamber. Eventually because of the development of Perdix's gimp left arm he was going to be killed and the process was going to be redone again. Though after Afen's escape the Temple Empire decided to keep Perdix and fix his arm by simply cutting it off and augmenting the boy. Once taken out of his incubator Perdix was quickly educated and brainwashed into believing that the Temple Empire is his new home and the leaders are his parents.

So begins...

Outside the door to Gambit's a familiar looking man stood wearing what seemed to be a black sleeveless shirt, jeans, and running shoes. His hair was white and his body frame was like that of Ikiros. Though this was a new being and a new face around this city. Perdix stood just outside the door watching the building as he smiled. He was about to meet his long-lost sister that escaped so long ago. He was happy to see her and in a sort of strange way he owed his existence to her escape. If she hadn't been broken out then he would have been thrown away for a deformity.

Perdix lifted his black steel artificial limb and had the fingers press against his ear piece. "I'm about to have my little Family reunion, Master Zotack." He simply said with out giving any concern to what Zotack might be saying on the other end. Quickly and just as quietly as Afen entered the bar he was inside and shutting the door behind him. After a few steps towards the girl he stopped.

"Big Sister, Afen my big sister would you turn around to say hello to your younger brother?" he asked her with a chuckle.

Perdix walked to the side of Afen and kept a close watch over her to be ready for anything that she might throw at him at any moment. He witnessed her psychic energy flowing through her but it was nothing he wasn't capable of doing himself. He kept himself ready but he continued his smooth and calm disposition to keep her both on her guard and keep her guessing. After all he wanted things to be fun.

"Were the same, Afen, you and I were nothing more than products of human's ambitions running amuck. Clones of Ikiros created to fulfill the plans of those that are our true creators." He said. Perdix ran his artificial black steel arm arm through his white hair and gave her a smile. "It makes me sad that my own sister, a girl of my own flesh and blood, is willing to kill someone like her brother. Though I guess one becomes a bit angry and paranoid when your dealing with the Temple Empire i mean they're pretty much everywhere and watching everything...and they want you back!"

Perdix looked a bit confused when she began to call him names in an ancient language that he knew nothing about. The Temple Empire found old books and scrolls from that ancient Empire of Atlantis, but even their scholars that studied it were not as well versed with it then Ikiros or Afen would be. So teaching Perdix something they were not very knowledgable about was out of the question. Though he didn't need to understand the word to know it was something bad in the context it was used. So he gritted his teeth as her vain speech and judgments of him.

"Whole!? You want to talk to me about being whole? Your half Human, big sister!" he yelled. Perdix clenched his metal hand into a fist. "The Temple Empire is going to get you back, Afen, i'll make sure of it and once they have you! You'll discover our old world and they can control this world the way they need too! Their order will bring order and control for the mass population!"

Perdix looked at his robotic limb and gritted his teeth in anger that she would mention the defect that he was cursed with. He looked back up at her and sighed this time in annoyance with the girl's high and mighty attitude. What Perdix thought about Temple Empire rule was really just the product of being brainwashed and programmed into thinking what they wanted him to think. Several poor souls that knew too much about the Temple Empire were taken and programmed to either forget or act as if they have gone mad. Which was why conspiracy theorists are closer to the truth sometimes then most people would like them to be.

"Perdix, The name is perdix and don't worry about me not meeting father because I soon will when we have you!" he said. Perdix clenched his hand into a fist and an Atlantean blade jetted out from his wrist. "I my not be completely whole when it comes to a body but Temple robotics now how to make up for that." he chuckled. Suddenly Perdix rushed forward at Afen using his own telekinesis to boost himself into a fast and strange lunge to stab into her shoulder.

Perdix was pushed back by the bubble of psychic-kinetic energy and took a few steps back after the defensive move. He raised his augmented blade arm in front of him in a defensive stance and watched her movements. He wasn't sure if he should call in help from Zotack or one of the agents since he really wasn't suppose to make contact with Afen until everything else was ready. Perdix jumped the gun in this case so he wanted to see first if he could bring in his own sister.

Just as she made a swipe with her blade he would avoid the attack by telekinetically dashing to the side in order to avoid the attack. His powers of Telekinesis were more focused than his swordsmanship but he could still handle himself in a blade fight. With that he raised his real arm in the air with the palm facing Afen and used a blast wave of Telekinesis to throw her.

Perdix looked confused at first by the attack because of the gap between them and how the blade would never hit him. Though to his surprise he felt the energy that was much like his own in the air coming at him but it was too late for him to avoid the attack. The best he could do was throw his Augmented arm forward and try to shield himself with telekinetic energy. While he was able to keep himself safe with his mind shield he kept his arm exposed to see the damage it could cause. The results were clear: he had a superficial gash in his augmented arm. While that wouldn't keep it from working it was annoying because he liked to keep the thing clean. At least he knew to look out for the attack.

Perdix jumped into the air into the shadows of the vaulted ceiling of the bar as he traveled along the support beams. From up there he would mimic the same move she just unleashed on him and would jump around from beam to beam doing the same wind scythe move. Keeping himself hidden in the shadows.

Things were going well as he kept slashing at her from a distance until she created that bubble of mental energy to protect herself with. Inside the bubble she began making signs and symbols with her hands and energy around her became visible. He didn't know what was going on since the Temple Empire didn't teach him any arcane arts and any people they had that were good in the arcane arts were a planet away. So he did the only thing he knew to do and that was use his telekinesis. So he kept swinging his augmented bladed arm and combining it with telekinesis to shoot out wave after wave of wind scythes at the bubble the girl made in order to break it down.

Perdix was able to react quickly and used his built in Atlantean sword to block the attack that Afen sent his way. Though what he didn't expect was her jumping into the shadowy vaulted ceiling, and never saw her do it because he was distracted by the first attack. When he looked back down he was shocked that she wasn't there anymore. He looked everywhere below him down at the patrons but couldn't spot Afen. What he didn't know was that she was now on his level. Perdix retracted his blade back into his arm and stumbled around the support beams as he looked for the girl in all the wrong places.

"Damnit! Where the fuck did she go?" he asked himself out-loud.

Perdix nearly jumped out of his own skin when the girl jumped from out of nowhere in front of him. He quickly regained his composure and smiled at Afen as he clenched his fist and the blade jetted out again. He studied the environment and then the girl again and nodded his head.

"Sounds like fun." he said. "And I'm pretty sure my Master took care of you and got at least one of his men out of the fight before he died." With that little said he would swipe his blade at his sister at a horizontal angle to try and cut her down quickly.

"Yes, just great." he said with an annoyed glare. Perdix had no time to play these games though he wanted to show the Temple that they made the right choice in keeping him by bringing in the girl before him. So he set up his own bridge of psychic energy that ran towards the girl and made a mad dash towards her and when he was close enough he swung his sword at a 45 degree angle going down to slash at her body. He knew there was a chance she would block the attack since she had a bit more skill then he did with swords but he had his free hand charging up enough telekinetic to violently blast her at close range. So if she blocked he would just release that energy on her to throw her again.

Perdix kept his blade out and again charged his hand with energy. She was moving in close and that wasn't good for him. His attack caused her to stumble and thats all the time he needed to help perform the next attack. He was going to take advantage of his skills in telekinesis and swung his arm twice to create two wind scythes heading towards her. One going horizontally and the other one following at another 45 degree angle. This wouldn't just be difficult to avoid but he also created that space at the top left of the pattern of the attack so she would try to avoid it by going through that where he would throw his hand out and blast her with a wave of telekinesis.

The girl had done what Perdix thought was nearly impossible, but of course it wasn't to much of a surprise they were one in the same. Connected in a way that only siblings could be or beings created from the same pool of genetics. This battle in Gambit's ceiling support beams had gone on longer then Perdix has anticipated, but he was loving the action none-the-less.

He looked down towards his sister. Her stance and her position she was in where clear indications that she was getting tired and using a lot of her energy. Perdix was feeling a bit fatigued himself from all the energy he was using but he still had plenty of fight left in him and then some. His augmented arm was built just for him to channel psychic energy and amplify it. Technology given to the Temple Empire by the very man that created these two clones, but freed Afen.

"You look tired, sister." he said. "Are you out of the game? Maybe you can yield now and i'll show mercy on you." He said. His augmented arm flowed with energy from his mind and began channeling into his sword. "Come home with me sister! Together we can be the start of the rebirth of a glorious new Atlantis! A new and shining city on a hill for all the universe to see!"

The girl had fight in her, Perdix, could give her that at least. Though at the moment as she lifted her sword once more towards Perdix in a way to symbolize that she wasn't giving in any time soon. Though it was the home comment that really struck Perdix. He was demoralized, broken down, brainwashed by the Temple Empire into believing that what he was doing was the right thing. That he had a home with the very men and women who wanted to terminate him as an embryo just for his gimp appendage.

His augmented hand gripped the hilt of his sword tighter and energy flowed into the blade from his mind. His teeth gritted and he gave his sister a glare. His entire being spelled pissed after that comment that went against all he was forced to believe. Then a voice rang in his ear from his head-set. "Perdix, be advised reinforcements are closing in." they said. Perdix pressed his fingers on his ear. "Keep away! This one is mine!"

He smiled bright now ready to strike again from a distance with his wind blade attack. It was going to be a walk in the park from now on he thought. That was until a sudden burst of energy filled the girl. Perdix's eyes raised in confusion. "Pretty boy?" he said to himself. "What the hell is this!?" he shouted. He then trusted his sword at her creating a psychic blast in the form of a long spear flying straight at her. "I got something for you to try on!"

Perdix smiled as his attack went through her like he intended but it was a shame that it didn't kill he thought. He spent a good deal of energy on that attack and was beginning to feel the drain of battle, and he was actually growing concerned because he wasn't sure he could keep the psychic attacks up. Afen had been doing a good job in avoiding and deflecting the blows but now that she was wounded pretty badly it seemed he could rest.

He literarily let his guard down in the middle of a battle thinking that she was done for. Though that seemed not to be the case as she once again disappeared for a second within the shadows of the ceiling. She was attempting another close up attack. She knew it wasn't his special and in that area she had him beat. Though it was that misstep that she took that maybe spared him. He heard the girl coming then and saw that little bit of fluorescent light beam off a sliver of the blade. His flesh arm raised up to telekinetically push her away. He wasn't fast enough though, but he did save himself a bit. The sword priced right through his augmented arm's bicep where it cut into a nerve cord.

Perdix yelled in pain as he felt the twinge of pain strike his fake arm's main nerve cord. Causing the hand to wave and open and close randomly. Though it would also send a powerful electrical shock into both Afen and Perdix. Causing Perdix to fall down the rafters and unto a table unconscious.

The Yankee's man kept the girl pressed hard against his chest and pressed the barrel of the gun against the girl's temple slightly harder. All in response to his partner getting shot in the shoulder and gut by Viktor's gun. The spiked haired man falling to the ground from the shock of getting shot and holding onto his gut. The man was alive but in horrible condition so began crawling towards the last car that Perdix showed up in and remained untouched.

The Yankee's man yelled out. "Viktor! Put the fucking gun down and head into the car my silver haired friend showed up in, or I'm going to put a fucking hole in your girlfriend! You hear me I come under attack or you refuse-- I'll kill her! The people I work with could care less about her so don't think i'm fucking bluffing!" He yelled making sure everyone heard him in the area.

The bullets were fired and they seemed to hit square in the chest, yet the bullets never even touched the skin as the man protected himself with a telekinetic barrier around his skin. He looked down at his chest and snapped his fingers. The bullets were flung with much higher velocity than they were fired back at their point of origin. Perdix then turned to look at Old Man Onigiri and the young Atlai Man chuckled.

"Funny coming from an old drunk." he said. He collected an moment of physic energy on his blade's edge and swiped his sword towards the man in a horizontal pattern. The physic energy was released and flung in a sharp wave of energy coming right at the old Asian that could cut right through that metal baton and him if he could not act quickly enough.

The Yankee nodded his head as he heard the voice of the stranger coming from the car he refused to step out of. The Temple Agent had no problem with this, but would only do this once Viktor was in the car he requested him to pile into.

"Fine with me, but not until Viktor gets into the car!" he said. He kept his eyes on the Invictus member the entire exchange. "And I told you to put the fucking gun down! Stop fucking looking at me and get into the fucking car with no gun and the girl goes safe!" The yankee was serious and his eyes shifted toward Old Man Onigiri. His thumb pressed on the hammer of the gun and pulled it back.

"You stand down you yellow bastard!" he said. "Or the girl dies. You hear me stranger? Make sure these two stand down and the girl will end up safe!"

Perdix wasn't expecting the old Asian to have that kind of power and landed on his back, but he quickly recovered about to attack. But noticed that the old man had passed out. Perhaps Ki excursion? Anyway Perdix watched the exchange before his eyes his sword drawn and waiting for anything to happen. Walking towards Viktor while raising his free hand to forcefully throw the gun from his hand if he showed no signs of putting it down.

As Viktor got into the car the spiked haired man was in the front seat aiming his gun at the man. His face filled with pain and anger. "You fucking move and I'll kill you." he said. The man didn't seem to be just saying that out of spite either. Though the gun was shaky and his free hand was placed over his bleeding stomach.

The Yankee nodded when he saw that Viktor got into the car. He released his arm from around her neck and pushed her towards the strangers car with a shove. But he never attempted to push her all the way to the strangers car.

"Take her if you can keep her." The Yankee said. He walked toward Perdix's car and began to climb into the back seat with Viktor. Just to keep his eye on him.

Perdix though had some other plans in his head. When he heard the sound Haruo Arakawa's voice and the helicopter overhead he raised his hands in the air. A large smile on the Atlai's face. The Atlanteans were the most skilled physics in the galaxy and Perdix was no exception even as a clone of Ikiros.

It took nearly no effort for Perdix to just think about throwing the gun from Haruo Arakawa's grasp and jet the young man right at him and his Artificial arm as it would squeeze his neck until he passed out. If it worked he would keep the young man in his grasp so the helicopter couldn't fire on him.

Meanwhile the fake cop finally woke up and touched his bloody nose. He looked around and made a mad dash towards perdix's car.

The Men began firing their guns at Viktor but they were too late to harm him before he rolled under the car. The Yankee was fit and was out of his car about to lean down and just take a few shots at Viktor before he could call for his own backup, but before he could he was attacked and stabbed in the neck. The Yankee fell over holding his neck and choking on his own blood.

The spiked haired man shook his head and pressed on the flesh just under his ear. "Were fucking outmatched...We didn't expect so much goddamn chaos! Yes I understand...Listen we need a maybe a super or two...Zotack wouldn't have fucked this up if he was still our leader!" And like that the man began screaming until blood and smoke flowed out of his eye sockets. An insult the new leaders of the Temple Empire didn't take a liking too.

Perdix immediately grasped his head when the the jammer was activated. Haruo Arakawa fell short of Perdix and fired those shots. But they didn't go far because of the physic barrier on the surface of his skin was still being maintained in order to protect himself, and the metal additions of the augmented portion of his body helped slightly.

His eyes began glowing a soft blue and his skin had imprints of what looked like circuits underneath. His eyes looked up at the Helicopter and when he heard the someone scream Grenade he wasted no time. The effects of the jammer were weakening as his eyes glowed bluer. He spun around catching that grenade with his mind and sent it flying like a bullet straight at the window cockpit of the helicopter and if it didn't go in it would at least stick there with psychic energy. Throwing another hand up at Haruo Arakawa, as he spun back around throwing the grenade into the helicopter, that hand focused at the officer spending a powerful physic blast to throw him into a brickwall. Making sure it was just strong enough not to die down as it got closer to the jammer.

Perdix's already inhuman speed was enhanced by his psychic powers making him a blur of speed on the ground and nearly impossible to land a hit on him at all from the helicopter's position. The Temple men didn't fair as well, but they were all on the verge of death as it was. A simple abduction mission going straight to hell, their target would be their sooner of later and there was no evidence or proof that this was an attack from the Temple Empire since the men had no intel on their dead bodies.

Though as predix out maneuvered the guns he was collecting bullets they verged to close and they went spinning around him like he was a planet for them to orbit. They were travelling at the same speed that they came and he had collected a nice number before the helicopter stopped firing.

Once that was over Perdix outstretched both his arms and pointed his fingers like guns. He sent half of the orbiting rush of the large bullets back at the helicopter but their force and speed enhanced by his psychic abilities. The other half of the bullet belt was fired at Haruo Arakawa again their force and speed amplified and aimed well at both targets while still running. Paying no mind to the shaking ground or the Skyscraper at the moment. Perdix's eyes still glowing with that artificial blue glow. A system of the Temple Empire's Mayan virus.
