Quark Quark took the dagger in his left hand. As soon as Empathy had let go, Quark began to transfer energy in to it that he could control. He watched as the dagger turned white hot, and then just vaporized. He then put his left hand to Empathy, releasing a harmless form of energy in to her which wasn't electricity. She wouldn't even be able to feel it, but she probably would have seen the purple and yellow energy entering her.

Quark recognized a young girls voice. He quickly moved forward. "Stay calm young one, I mean you no harm." He told her, lighting a torch with a flint and stone to reveal where he was. His cloak hood was pulled down to reveal that he looked young and was smiling, something he rarely did.

Quark "No, no, no. This is my fault. You can't walk all the way out of the forest like this." He sounded truly concerned and was letting his emotions affect his voice. Quark must have had quite the emotional day. "Allow me to offer you shelter for the night and to bandage your wound, besides. A young pretty girl like you shouldn't be walking through the forest alone at night, or ever. I'll walk you home tomorrow." He tilted his head slightly and looked down at her, smiling in a friendly way.

Quark "Well, this Derk fellow is very right, but I'm quite sure that there are a lot worse things than plain old me out there in the forest at night. He let go of her knee, still holding her up though, and offered her his now free hand to help her up.

Quark came back in to the room with the food on a plate. He put it down on a small table next to the couch for her to eat and drink when she pleased. "I'm sure people love you. How could no one love a cute girl like you? the only way would be if you were evil, which I doubt by the looks of you." He took a seat on the couch in front of the one she was on, planning to talk while he waited for the stove to warm up and for her to finish the bread while he cooked the other food. Fortunately, the fireplace was already lit.
