Quill crept through the unnerving silence of Gambits to find a seat, Quill was a 24 yearold Runic Arts student at the nearby academy and was, well... unique. Her teal coloured hair hung wispily over her shoulders while the main section of hair was held in a low rough 'bob'.

Her black tights and short skirt, matched the unusual style she adorned that continued with a black sleeveless tee shirt and heavy charcoal makeup to the eyes and lips.

Upon choosing a seat she pulled out a selection of tomes from her brown leather messenger boy style bag and unkowingly cast a few study notes out onto the floor of gambits.

kids, thats all she needed when she was studying. Quills previous experiences of kids, from a few babysitting jobs, rendered her view of them as ill-mannered snotbags who will yell at anything to get there own way.

'Oi Kiddo, havent you got playschool or something?' She said in a slightly harsh manner as she looked back at her books...

Quill was a fiesty young woman that felt the need to be fairly abrupt with people, she wasn't like it all the time but it definately was resonant in her personality.

Quill looked up from her dusty tome and scribbled some notes onto a piece of parchment. She was oblivious to the patrons around her but upon flipping a heavy page the consequent rush of air caused some of her scribbled notes to be cast onto the oaky floor to none of her knowledge.

A few moments later..

'Oh for the love of god, i could have sworn i had those papers?' she spoke looking clearly bemused.

Quill looked the man up and down accusingly.
'Yeah, thanks, although next time you need a runic paper done you may as well ask. I'll alert my tutor of plagiarists and you shall be disqualified.'

She knew nothing of the man, and couldn't say she'd seen him around the academy either, but why else would he have taken his papers?

She looked at the runes cast into his blade thoughtfully.

'Well im no professional but it seems to me you have the order mixed up slightly, your scythe would be able to...nevermind'

She stopped herself from getting carried away, the Scythe looked dangerous but did the beholder know of...no he cant have done he seemed mightily pleased with the tool.

'Well thanks' she finished, checking all her papers were in order before pulling a small velvet bag and worn leather box to her lap. She looked down hoping the man would not catch the underlying message she had subconciously blurted out.

Quill looked slightly uncomfortable, and now the man was sitting opposite her eyes fixed on her face. She began pushing papers into piles and closed the covers on her tomes.

'Its none of my business, now if you'll excuse me...sir,'she said in a confident manner as she gathered her satchel and stowed her belongings within.
'I have things to do.' she stood up from her seat to leave.

Quill re-entered the bar in the same miss-matched colours shed left in. Her dark make up gave her a mysterious dark look that caused people to hold thier gaze a moment longer than usual and, the brown satchel, containing her school things hung low over one shoulder.

She walked over to a seat on the opposite side of the bar to the colossal scythe-bearing patron she'd encountered earlier. After pullng her tomes out and a few roughly scribbled notes, she lowered her head to study.

THe blade stuck in the wall to the left of her head, she calmly looked up from her book and...

She had to make something up, and quick the truth wasnt safe for anyone including the scythe-bearer. 'Just a simple mistake in one of the runes, it doesnt do much but dims the effect of that rune thats all. Are we done?' she exclaimed.

Quill was clearly becoming out of her depth, but she wasnt thinking straight.
'and what are you going to do if i dont?' she said bravely.

She looked around the bar in case she needed either A: an escape route or B: help. surely someone would help her she thought as she waited for a reply.

She had to think about this, but she could be as stubborn as he was she rubed her palm across two stones and a small pulsing light erupted from the heart of them... It ebbed and weaved and wound its way around her before disappearing back into nothingness.

'Would like to see you try it' the moment your blade hits this little enchantment of mine it looses all magical abilities including runic.' she smiled to herself, her studying was paying off, and she didnt tell him but she was now crafting runes and enchantments of her own design.

Quill steps ornately into the bar her abstract yet gothic influenced dress code attracting the attention of the various patrons of gambits. Her brown leather satchel at her side Quill swayed towards the bar.

Quill was an unusual personality, her dark doll like eyes were cast with a frame of sea green hair which gave her an unnerving yet troubled aura to the atmosphere around her.

Good Afternoon TerraCast, this is Quill reporting from outside Canti's Diner, Wing City.

Not more than a few days have passed now since Police arrived here, at Canti's Diner on a prohibition raid due to concerns that the premises were selling alcoholic beverages unlicensed. As you can see the damage to the door remains, However until now it was unknown to the public that upon entering the premises , the police encountered a man, local sources have told us, goes by the name Carmichael. Carmichael is an infamous gang leader and street criminal working in the streets of wing city, and new light shows he may have been the cause of a brutal and bloody robbery not six hours before the raid. Did the authorities know this?

Now we've tried interviewing the police only to be denied access to find out whether this man was taken into custody, and so far the story is unclear, however CCTV evidence suggests that the man was allowed to go free with no arrest or charge suggesting unfairness and injustice in the way our police force handles crime.

So TerraCast, This is Quill reporting from Canti's Diner, asking you, Are the authorities subject to corruption? Have your say... Back to you guys in the studio.

Quill walked into the bar, exhausted but happy. She recently scooped a story for TerraCast it was pretty big, but wouldnt land her any favours with the feds. The story was asking whether the authorities were as corrupt as the criminals they supposedly put behind bars. she didnt care much for anyone, she was just happy with the extra financial cushion.

'Ill take an orange juice please,' she said light -heartedly to the barman before sniffing around for rumours of stories she could utilise for her next broadcast.

Eliza Vlious shrugged
If you ever do anything that will effect me in a way.. I wont hesitate to control you again.. now vow to me that you will never use that ability on me or any other tricks...

Eliza immediately shifted her head towards Assassin
Speaking to her..

You do realize I'm a detective.. and I might have to arrest you.. I will overlook it if you have a lollipop with you..

"Ain't my job. That's sweetiecakes over there," he said, gesturing a thumb to 'Sassin, who shrugged and reached for a bottle then placed it on the counter.

Norrington leant forward to Eliza, then snorted. "You're a little ugly for a detective. I wouldn't start throwing your weight around me until you're a little older."

Valorie just sort of quivered out in that innocent child-like tone of hers she tended to adopt when someone took her completely off-guard and legitimately frightened her. "I-I'm sorry... I can't control it." she claimed, still clinging to that stool, almost as if seeking comfort from it.

...How did one wind up clinging to a stool for comfort? That was likely a sad story right there.
