Half-fire demon and telepath,
Quincy's shyness is something that is locked inside as a safe ward against evil. He has developed a way to ward off the most vicious of creatures with his silence. He stares back most of the time at people with just a hint of a smile on his face and a raised eyebrow. He does not adapt well to new situations and barely smiles at a person who tries to start a conversation with him. His focus is mostly on one person at a time, because the rush of thoughts or events into his head makes him feel pain.

Being the child of a world famous physicist, no one found it odd when Quincy was born in a laboratory. His mother was on assignment from the place that she worked when she went into labor for him. It was probably just lucky that the lab had a hospital next to it, or it could have been done on purpose. There were strange connections between his birth and his mother's work that caused rifts in his family from the beginning. His father did not seem to see Quincy at all, just was scarcely aware of an existence of the boy. His siblings ignored him for the most part, including him only if they were forced. Quincy found this to be acceptable because he never felt like he belonged at home. His mother though spoiled him, giving him everything that a child would want. For a time Quincy was happy, but did really know if that was what he was feeling or not.
When Quincy turned 10 occurrences started to happen that scared him. He could see events before they happened, or he could read others thoughts. He developed insomnia in fear of his dreams. He used to keep himself awake at night by staring at the fire in his bedroom. Often times the maid would find him curled in the chair sucking his thumb like a baby. His mother came home from one of her trips to find that her son was malnourished and close to death. She went into a rage that nearly ended in her killing her husband and oldest daughter. However she came to her senses and packed her youngest sons things and left. Quincy would never see any of them again.
Quincy traveled with her to her many jobs, and soon his health returned to him. When he told his mother about his strange powers, she smiled as if she knew already. She took him back to the very lab that he was born next to and handed him over to a Dr. Brown, whom he remember from pictures that his mother showed him. She promised him visits and did come back for the next two years. Yet, Quincy knew that this was his life now, training to perfect his powers. When his mother stopped coming, he hardly missed her. His had made his first friends in children that were being taught there, however Quincy still kept a respectable distance most of the time. This went on for three years, before Quincy was told that he was being sent away to school. In an act of rebellion, he ran away from the lab. Shortly after he was caught, possibility because he did not have anywhere to go. His fear of the outside world overcame his sense of loyalty to the people he had trusted, but it only happened once. The doctors decided to keep him for another two years to develop his social skills.
