Ragar Deathclaw
Alpha in the Howler pack
Personality
Ragar isn't necessarily a bad person. For his pack, he's actually a great leader and person. But for others, he's not nice. Survival is what motivates him and what has got him to where he is now. Ragar makes quick decisions and says what's on his mind. Ragar can be considered stubborn and foolhardy, but until now it has served him well. From time to time, Ragar has to fight someone from his pack for leadership, but has won each of them until now. Ragar is merciless on the battlefield, but off of it, he can actually be quite diplomatic. Just don't piss him off and approach him carefully with respect, and he'll be ready for conversation.
Description
Ragar is the largest in his pack, taller and broader than anyone else. Along with his armour and weaponry, Ragar is an intimidating sight. His fur colour differs from the rest of his pack, seeing that he's white and the other Howlers are black or a dark-shade of brown. Ragar's scars are hidden by his fur, but underneath it there are dozens of battle-reminders. The most visible unhealed injury is on his left eye. He doesn't seem to mind it, as it only adds to the intimidating air about him. Though he does cover up his blinded eye with some sort of eye-patch. It is rumored that Ragar isn't a real Howler, but from another pack, but no one is old enough to remember something that proves the rumor.
Fighting style
Ragar's fighting style is like that of a predator, first following the prey for a while, observing it, and then striking at what he believes to be the prey's weakness. Ragar is stronger when hunting with his pack, because then he can use his leadership skills. Ragar only wears his armour and weaponry when he's meeting with another Alpha (their synonym for leader) or during a war or very important fight. On skirmishes and ambushes, Ragar wears a lighter armour and uses his teeth and claws (wearing specially designed gloves) as weapons. When he needs speed more than defence. So according to his gear, Ragar can change his fighting style.
Skills
Ragar has multiple skills, though they're not really magic-based:
Bloodlust- The sight of blood increases the amount of adrenaline rushing through Ragar's body.
Rage- The more damage Ragar takes and inflicts, the more it dulls his pain.
Animal senses- Ragar senses are exceptional compared to most beings.
Howl- Increases morale of Howlers and reduces that of the prey, it also hurts ears.
Growl- Smaller range than howl, but more severe effects.
Bestial strength- Ragar is very strong, thanks to years of hunting and his race.
Sprint- Running on all four, Ragar can outrun most preys.
Rampage- After a while, Ragar gets blind with rage and bloodlust, sending him into a rampage.
Pack benefits
Ragar, just like any Howler, gets even stronger when their pack is present. Stronger, faster, more confident, more organized and of course way more intimidating. And as the Alpha of the pack, Ragar gets more intelligent and more cunning, rising to his full potential as leader and predator. Ragar is a born Alpha and his pack-members are inspired by his presence on the battlefield, causing them to fight with more vigor.

Pack size
The Howlers form are a huge pack, with sub-packs with patrol, hunt and scout duties. According to the last counts there are approximately 250 patrolling Howlers, 400 hunting Howlers and 150 scouting Howlers (all grouped in packs of 10). Female Howlers are kept in hiding and their numbers are vague, but there's at least one for each male and two for each pack leader. The Howler pack is steadily growing and is slowly winning more terrain. They are close to being big enough to take over a city. They already are searching for one and once they have it they can live a more stationary life. Once the city is full, they'll sound out small packs to roam about and grow until they can take over a city as well. That way, Ragar hopes to take over the country and create one for his kind.
Pack strength
The Howlers are overall one of the best packs around, not only are they larger as a group, they're also larger when it comes to individuals. Adding their good organisation to this, the Howlers will probably dominate any other pack within a few years. Their warriors are just a bit stronger than the ones from other packs, but they have more and better trained casters. Overall Howlers are quite intelligent, although it doesn't show during fights. Ruthless and cunning on the battlefield, intelligent and clever off of it. There's a strong sense of respect and honour in the pack, though it differs from what humans think is respect and honour.
Pack organisation
The Howlers are more organised than other packs, mostly because of Ragar's leadership. Heavily armoured patrol groups defend their encampments, normally armoured hunting groups make sure there's enough food for everyone and lightly armoured scouting groups to make sure they don't get ambushed when moving the encampment. Each of these groups, also known as sub-packs, swap duties every now and then to keep everyone happy and versatile. Sub-packs are made of 10 Howlers: One Beta (an outstanding Howler), two berserkers, two casters, four predators and a healer. This formation has proven to be the most suitable in most situations.
Ragar's sub-pack
Ragar's pack is similar to the other packs, though instead of a Beta, he's there, an Alpha, to lead the pack. And the rest of the pack are all Beta's. So you have the Alpha leading the pack, two Beta berserkers, two Beta casters, four Beta predators and a Beta healer. This is the most elite sub-pack among the Howlers. Everyone steps aside when they arrive and even their allies fear them. All of them are battle-hardened veterans and would probably make exceptional Alpha's themselves, if they didn't respect Ragar as much as they do.
