Requiem, the Breaking Dawn

Second half to Requiem, the Final Rest

0 · 288 views · located in Wing City Lake: Beach

a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Jerico Do'Lantul

Description

Image brought to you by felipecosta of Deviantart. Inspired by Utada Hikaru's music video "Passion".

Image

Words cannot aptly describe this being of profound grace and beauty. Her(it is assumed to be a woman) very presence inspires unbridled happiness and peace.

Personality

Openly jovial and peaceful, it is unclear what Requiem's purpose or motives are. She travels endlessly across the sky in a dazzling display of Light. Any who look up to see her immediately feel overjoyed and at peace with themselves, forgetting their wrongs and their imperfections, if only for a short time. She is clearly benevolent, but only falls from the sky to visit with people when there is great conflict or suffering.

Equipment

Carries with her a great, mystical power that can overpower any Darkness. When she comes close to a person, all of their worries tend to vanish. On top of this, all bodily injuries will be healed, and all mental anguishes will be extinguished. One's mind will be freed from all inhibitions, such as emotional torment or strife. One will be granted a brief time of clear, uninturrupted thought, during which they can choose to solve all of their woes and troubles. Though she never says a word, one will feel as though their ideas are being bounced off of her, and they will arrive at thier own, individual conclusions. Requiem has been known to end wars, famine, disease and struggle. She cannot be harmed by anything, either physical or magical. All attemps will flow around her body, like water upon rock. Even if one were to attack her, which is highly unlikely, due to the state of bliss and overpowering joy she places upon them, she will not seek retribution, nor will she shy away. Likewise, anyone near to her cannot be harmed, even by the most powefull of attacks, as their bodies will immediately be repaired, even as they are injured.

One man comments:

"When she draws near, the angels of heaven will sing. The winds will cease, and the many troubled voices of men will become silent. She is a message from the gods, she is. It doesn't matter what you may believe. Believe this: she is joy and peace, itself."

Indeed, many have reported hearing angelic voices, or ringing, when she draws near, soft and melodic. A calming feeling, they say. A sence of peace. The experience can be different, for different people.

History

Requiem, the Breaking Dawn has existed for as long as Requiem, the Final Rest. Some would say she has been around longer, and that the Final Rest is the result of her abundant benevolence; the shadow cast by the Undying Light. Her true origin remains a mystery.

So begins...

Requiem, the Breaking Dawn had been high in ths sky since early morning, traveling over the opposing hemisphere. The world seemed so tranquil and beautiful, today.. Hardly a bother to be had. It was all so surreal. As Requiem clears the horrison, the sun would rise, rendering the entire area in it's morning glow, and bringing new light to the struggle commencing, on the ground. The Breaking Dawn looks down on the world with a slightly saddened expression. War. Two opposing factions, unable to come to terms with their differences, bickering back and forth about what was just, and correct. None of them could see. None of them cared. It was all too much. Lives were being lost, and the harmony of the world was being upset. Requiem's bright, glowing figure would begin to descend upon the scene, her body a swirling mass of glowing ribbons of Light. As she drew nearer, the area would be bathed in her radiance, and the scene would, again, change, as morning glow was replaced with something akin to a mid-day sun. Warmth would begin to envelope all nearby, and Requiem knew, already, that their hearst and their souls would begin to feel her presence.

Requiem, the Breaking Dawn continues to drop from the sky, a shining symbol of all that was right in the world. Sencing Straken's torment, she would begin to drift towards the large building in which he was being held. As though the walls were not even there, she would pass through them, to reappear inside Recovery, with Straken. Her features were soft, her expression kind. Forgiving. Caring. Everything that Straken needed, at the moment, she would provide for him. His woulds would begin to stitch themselves together, before his eyes. His mind would settle.. his fears would melt away. Everything which caused him pain would simply.. vanish. Requiem slows to a halt at Straken's side, a pair of petite hands appearing at her sides as they frame the man's weary face. She would say nothing. There was no need.

Requiem, the Breaking Dawn smiles softly and begins to drift away. The feeling, though, would remain long after she had left. Looking around, she could tell that things were changing, for the better. Everyone.. was so happy, and so was she. Still smiling, she would return outside, to drift along the ground, amongst the other soldiers. Her movements were fluid, her body never touching thr ground as it would seem as though she was gliding through water, her hands and the ribbons of light following her, toughing all of the soldiers one by one. Their wounds, too, would be healed, as well as all of the mental anguishes they had suffered, of late, as they sighed, allowing her to move along them. Requiem would stop as she approached the three Captains, Merceigh, Mark and the unnamed man. She smiles as she circles around them, her touch warm and welcoming.

Requiem, the Breaking Dawn remained where she was, surrounding the three Captains and occasionally drifting amongst the soldiers. She could still sense their angst, and their conflict, even if they couldn't, and would remain in the area untill they were able to peacefully resolve their issues.

Requiem, the Breaking Dawn follows the pair through the building, keeping a close eye on developments. It seemed these two were responsible for the violence, and so she would watch over them as they attempted to see things to a peacefull resolution.

Requiem, the Breaking Dawn smiles and drifts upwards, towards the Saving Grace, twisting her body around the hull of the great steel machine. It was truely fascinating, what these humans were capable of creating. Nevermind that it was a machine of war, there was beauty to be found in ingenious design. She had seen ships liks these, before, and knew to whom they belonged. Her presence would be able to be felt all along the ship, now.

Requiem, the Breaking Dawn drifts from atop the ship down in front of Admiral Boeing. Her features were soft and friendly as she drifted around him and the Mk.VI's loftily. She smiles as the ribbons of Light around her body surround them for a brief moment. The men behind the Admiral would gasp, slightly, upon seeing her. Just like that, however, she would drift away, towards the others.

Requiem, the Breaking Dawn materializes in the center of the room, a benevolent smile upon her face, her eyes closed. A soft glow would envelope the bar, casting shadows against the floor as the tables and chairs are lit up. Peace and calm would fill the hearts and the minds of all those nearby, though it would be nothing of their own doing. Even here.. even in such a quiet corner of Terra, neither Straken nor Merceigh could not escape her.. not even within the confines of their minds.(see character profile for details)

Requiem, the Breaking Dawn turns her head towards Straken, slightly, though her eyes remain closed. Straken's wound would, instantly, begin to stitch itself together, even it's mechanical components. All wounds would behave as such, being healed as soon as they were recieved. None could be injured so long as Requiem remained nearby.

Requiem, the Breaking Dawn smiles and drifts away. The feelings, though, would last long after she left. Turning her eyes upon the woman in the corner, and sensing her aggravation, Requiem flows slowly towards her. Hers was not a violent mind. No, this woman had no such tendencies. Still, Requiem would come close, the ribbons of light enveloping Ilyana Maric for a few moments as she flows around the woman's body slowly.

Requiem, the Breaking Dawn clears the horizon over Wing City. Today was turning out to be a wonderfull day. No conflict to speak of, and no unrest or suffering to quell. Indeed, she was free to soar through the air, which pleased herm greatly. Still, even as she came over the large city, below, she began to sense a slightly familiar presence, nearby. Why, if it wasn't the man she had come across the other day! Tumbling through the air, Requiem would bank towards the young man, William, whose power was easy to pick up, even at this distance.

Ribbons of Light would follow in her wake, giving her a glorious glowing trail which lit up the area, nearby. Yellow hues would dance across the clouds as she passed them by, making a beeline towards William. As she drew near, it became apparent that he was not alone, today, which made her very pleased; the more the merrier, after all!(See Requiem's profile to see her effects on people nearby)

Requiem, the Breaking Dawn pulls out a small folding knife, flipping it open to reveal a jagged blade that appeared to be dulled from use, and rather harmless. With a quick motion, he jams the tip into the lock of the door, turning and shimmying the handle untill the blade catches the tumblers, within, and unlocking the door. "There we are.." Turning back to Averna, he replaces the knife in his pocket before crouching to pick Averna up once more to carry her through the doorway and over to the bed, where he sets her down gently. "That's better.. now I can be sure you're safe while I go and fetch some food. Just rest, here, for now, and I'll be back as soon as I can, alright?"
