Personality

Theme Song

A young man of many talents. Cleverness being one of his most adept, as well as possessing a silver tongue, he likes to using his charming side to slither his way out of a bind. He is fairly suave and calm in almost every situation and feels most comfortable talking up women or playing a game of poker. He follows some basic principles and has a bit of a chivalrous side, but he tries to keep personal safety in mind before acting rashly.

Harsh life has made him a crack shot with his revolver and fairly adept in hand to hand fighting, although he still prefers running as his means of combat. He also is flawless at sleight of hand tricks, making his reloads faster than normal.

He possesses a passive super natrual ability, however it's effect does not make him any different than a normal human being.
Universal Irreversability: The ability to render an action from oneself (including events in general) impossible to be blocked, manipulated and reversed, by all means. It can be considered a unidirectional subtype of Probability Manipulation.

He also is a certified Emergency medical technician, formerly employed by Gambit as a paramedic for the bar before it's infamous closing.

Equipment

A custom made vest made of a light weight, durable, highly bullet resistant material

A Rhino class revolver that can fire all sorts of ammunition, from standard lead projectiles, to HE rounds.

Image

For situations calling for a slightly bigger punch, Rick carries around

Syco Mk II Plasma grenades

and

MolTech C12 and Thermite Charges

It is also noteworthy that Rick will usually only have his revolver with him when it comes to firearms. The only time he does seem to utilize other weapons is when he is wearing a particular black backpack. This Backpack, like pouches he wears on his belt, utilizes the theory of Hammerspace. Making it possible to store almost anything and everything and always have the items he desires readily accessible. Weapons known to make a frequent appearance from this pack are as follows:

A ForceTech Arms CO. Model Pump action shotgun also capable of firing different kinds of shells and slugs.

A Darkwatch class Lever action Rifle

A Sunfire Armory ACR18 Automatic Directed Energy weapon

Rampant Arms Bullrush a breech loading 30 mm grenade launcher

The girl's electric blue eyes locked right onto Rick's stubbornly, trying to move her body though it was as pinned as it was going to get. Her face scrunched in a snarl. "Wake up," she said, her voice slightly high, but raspy. "Wake up!" she hollered, jerking her body to the side.

Rick's brow furrowed as she continued to fight. Wake up? He was awake, surely everyone else was...

"See!" Duremas sighed. "Just a nut, probably had too much to drink or something."

Rick wondered about that...he had yet to meet many people who could endure the effects of a taser, never mind while already intoxicated.

He took hold of her chin and tilted her head up slightly to get a better look at her pupils. They weren't dialated, nor were they contracted. He didn't suspect drugs. He let her go, and held his fingers in front of her face for a moment.

And then he snapped his fingers.

The girl and her weapons dissolved as soon as Rick snapped. She became complete nothingness, little particles of light that pulled apart and then faded, leaving the handcuffs to clatter onto the ground.

And at that same moment, three people in the city jolted awake, glanced around fearfully, and eased back into bed tentatively.

Rick rose to his feet, as did the baffled officers. One of them picked up the fallen handcuffs and gawked.

"Fuckin supes, always creep the fuck out of me." Duremas spat as he hastily lit up a cigarette as he turned to look at Rick. "What do you suppose all that was about?"

Rick glanced at Duremas, and then turned to stare at the crate. "I don't know. But I've got a feeling something is coming."

The night air had a chill in it as Rick walked out of Precinct 7. He'd spent the whole day watching Officer Duremas, whom he'd had assigned to be his local liaison officer, conduct interviews. They had questioned every single crew member of the ship that the intercepted arms crate had arrived on. There was little to no leads there, the crew all had a spotless record.

Rick sighed heavily. Finding the origin of the crate was going to be near impossible. If only customs hadn't secured it like they did....

Still, it wasn't like he had nothing. As he walked down the sidewalk towards the parking garage, Rick found himself picturing the face of the young woman that had appeared that night. He knew that if he could find her....he could somehow figure out where to go next with this case.

Not that he had to walk very far. The white-haired girl appeared right into the garage, standing at the end with her eyes on him. She was dressed the same as before, arms crossed, lids narrowed. She lifted her chin and then tilted her head. Like before, she didn't say anything at all, but she tapped her foot and made it a statement to be seem impatient.

Rick blinked when he encountered her. He stopped walking, and held his ground a good distance away. This wasn't coincidence, he knew better than to believe in that. No, she had been waiting, and from the looks of it, waiting for him.

He glanced over her, taking note of the weapons in her possession. He didn't mind the pistol nearly as much as the sword. IT was odd he knew, but he never could understand why people felt the need to use such things....

Still, he had gotten what he'd asked for, so rather than stand there frozen like a deer in the headlights, Rick decided to walk towards her.

He did try to prepare himself the best he could though.

As he walked toward her, she began to walk backwards. As he caught up more, she picked up her pace, and began to turn around with her eyes still pointed at him. She was nearing the stairs to the second level of the garage, clattering a boot onto the first step. Not once, not even once, did she break eye contact with him.

Rick played her game a few times, following after her a bit longer before he came to a pause. As she watched him from the stairs Rick took a moment to look around the garage's interior. He didn't notice anyone else around, which was something noteworthy in itself. He found it strange that none of the other officers were around, not even a single one coming off their shift.

It would've unsettled him, if he wasn't grateful for it. From what he could gather, right now he needed to cooperate with this girl. He pulled out his cellphone, pretending to check the time as he sent a quick text to Duremas, and then looked back up to lock eyes with the girl.

He shrugged, and continued to follow after her.

As they went up the stairs, the white-haired girl soon disappeared to the top. As Rick came up, however, he would hear the whip of a sword. It was quick and stealthy a move. Hard to react quickly enough, though it was still possible. However, the sword wasn't moving to hurt Rick: just to threaten him with the tip of the blade at his throat.

"What do you know about that container?" she asked in a steady, calm voice. "Who was associated? Speak up."

Rick stopped once again, glancing down at the blade close to his skin. He cursed in his head, he really hated blades.

He let out a breath as he thought of what to say in response to her questioning."Why don't you tell me?" He said, putting on his poker face and meeting her eyes.

His instincts were already growling at him, and he felt his blood pumping. He managed to keep any of these things from affecting his appearance, but in his mind he knew. The game had begun.

The blade leaned more sharply into his skin. The girl wasn't one for games.

"Do you know who was associated with the arms deal?" she said again, the strain evident in her voice as she tried to keep it steady, tried to stop her anger from bubbling to the top. "Answer me."

Rick just continued to stare, stone-faced at her.

"Why don't you tell me how you're associated first?" Rick knew he had no choice, he had to make her believe he had the information that she wanted. Even though he didn't.

"Because I'm not the one with the blade to my neck," she hissed back, hands tightening around the hilt of her sword. "Nothing good will come from that incident. If you tell me the information I need, I can fix it."

"Are you affiliated with any law enforcement?" Rick asked, ignoring her as she stated the obvious. "If not, then I'm afraid you shouldn't be trying to 'fix' anything."

"But," He offered before she could cut him off. "If you give me any information you may have, you can help me fix it."

"There's nothing you can do," she whispered, once again applying a dangerous pressure to Rick's neck with the blade. "You can't defeat a nightmare. You can't even touch it. Give me the information now."

The demand had become a roar- enough to mask the whir of a knife spinning through the air, striking the woman's hand and effectively causing her to back up with a hiss.

"Don't make any sudden moves and step away from the good detective," came a low, smooth voice. From behind one of the cars, a young man walked, his hair long and tied into a long ponytail that trailed behind him. He was Losenyu, that much was evident by his fine features. He flipped another knife in one hand, the handle landing in his palm every time. "After all, he isn't a part of this, now, is he?"

Rick stepped back quickly, and his hand snapped onto the grip of his pistol. He hadn't expected a knife to come out of nowhere, nor had he expected a visitor.

He looked from the young girl to the new guy. He figured that somehow they were involved with one another, and clearly one party was hostile. He continued to slowly take steps towards the nearby vehicles as they glared at one another. He was tempted to pull out his phone and call in Duremas with his backup, but he refrained.

This was his chance to learn about the girl, and in turn about the arms smuggling.

The girl traced back, trying to run. A clear line of red dripped down from her hand to her fingers where the knife had sliced her. Before she got far, the second knife sang through the air and sliced right through her Achilles tendon. She was brought down to one knee, but without a cry, without a whimper.

The man, clad in tight black clothing and sparse, but effectively placed armor, withdrew a third knife from his belt. He kept his eyes on Rick.

"You don't know anything about the game you're about to get yourself wrapped up into," he chuckled. "This city is going to be a nightmare. Watch yourself, detective. Tread lightly."

Rick tightened his grip on his weapon.

"Put the knife away." Rick said calmly. "Let's talk a bit more, why don't you educate me on this game of yours?"

This one seemed a lot less cooperative than the other.

"Oh, I'm not here to hurt the Wakeful. That would be against the rules, and I like the rewards that come with being a good boy too much," he snickered. He pointed to the white haired woman, who was trying to get to her feet. "I'm here to collect bounties on Dreamwalkers. Never heard of it? I wouldn't be surprised. We're not even real. We're proxies."

"Stop! Stop speaking!" screamed the girl. "Don't say that in front of me!"

A grin spread across the man's face as he continued. "Doubles of someone silently snoozing away in their bed. Hurt us. Torture us. Kill us. It won't matter in the end. Problem is... we can do the same thing with less consequences. Unfair, huh?"

"She'll hear you! Stop!"
