a character in “The Multiverse”, as played by Ryumyo

Description

Great Eastern Dragon (time of hatching is unknown, but is considered a young adult dragon.) Ryumyo was the first dragon sighted in the new world, flying past the Shinkansen bullet train in Tokyo, Japan. Opting not to become a public figure right away, he instead went about establishing leadership in Japan's less reputable underground. Ryumyo quickly developed strong ties to the Yakuza and uses this resource to try and gain rule over the Pacific Ring of Fire, consisting of most major Asian countries. Though his foothold is strong, he is constantly met with the opposition of other dragons in the region, namely his former master, Lung. Ryumyo was entrusted to Lung as an egg and in his early years, proved to be a very gifted and loyal student. Over time, the two found that they were polar opposites in personality; Ryumyo being a spitfire that favors immediate action, while Lung demonstrates immense patience and restraint. When the elder dragon deemed it inappropriate to further teach such an emotional and impulsive pupil, their relationship became strained and Ryumyo left in a fit of temper that created a mess Lung was forced to clean up in his wake. Since then, Ryumyo has continued his pursuit in dominating the region, while managing to avoid face-to-face conflict with Lung. It is highly speculated by other dragons that some old ties remain and that Ryumyo still harbors some good will toward Lung, and vice versa. Though it is said in the Far East that the more a person dislikes someone, the more polite that person will be in his presence. The two dragons are pinnacles of courtesy and polite etiquette in each other's company. Take that for what you will. Ryumyo is considered an enigma by his dragon brethren in that he has lead the Yakuza in assisting their country during natural disasters and economic hardship, has donated large sums of money to causes in foreign countries (the most noteworthy being Rhonabwy's territory in Africa), and is respectful of his elders. But despite Ryumyo having a heart, it is said to only beat on occasion. He is well-known to be ruthless in many of his pursuits, going further than advocating the prostitution, drug manufacturing and sales, and weapons dealing that supports his Yakuza family. He has been known to go so far as orchestrating gang wars and assassinations. But not even business can keep this young dragon from enjoying life to the fullest; indulging in the pleasures of lovely humanoids, fine dining, and even opium on occasion.
